A Study on Human Factors Analysis of Reality Aspect in Virtual Reality System (가상현실 시스템의 현실감 평가를 위한 인간공학적 분석에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the factors affecting reality aspect of virtual reality system were identified through Quality Function Deployment. The influence of some selected factors was evaluated in simulated performance test. It was shown that the factor of whether user can break through the objects in virtual space is the most sensitive to performance, followed by the factors of rotation angle and movement step. Also, the results implied that as more referents were provided to user, feeling of reality was enhanced.

  • Authentication between Server and Client is necessary in most of Internet Service because of increasing of using of Internet. Unix-based Server upgraded security of user authentication using "Shadow Password" instead of "crypt" function. But "Shadow Password" most use same authentication method about all services. But we individually can set user authentication method using PAM(Pluggable Authentication Module). This paper will propose user authentication system using Linux-PAM that use SMART CARD as authentication token.

  • This study is aimed at interpreting into changes and characters of function applied into quantative analysis in ubiquitous house. Digital technology being introduced into architectural fields, It applied expansively from design and construction to user's convenience. The application of digital technology is presented to various change like effectiveness and exactness in design and function of space, which is overlayed digital space to physical space beyond the extent of receiving human needs in physical space. In ubiquitous house, digital technologies are supplied to function coordinated with life, appreciating into positional informations of human and materials, spatial informations. Ubiquitous house is comparably effective into funtional expansion, user's convenience, safty, which, for the future, is going to using on housing of high performance encouraging the application of advanced technology. Therefore this study is classified into human behaviors, functions, performances and characters of digital system in ubiquitous house, which being established into the relation of elements, is interpreted numerically into functional changes and charats being applied to ARM.

  • User Requirements are analyzed and quantified by decision making models and system engineering methods to select alternative concepts which satisfy the various requirements. In this study, the design concepts for guided missile are derived using Quality Function Deployment(QFD) and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). The design alternatives that satisfy the user requirements are extracted by QFD and Morphological Matrix, then the best design concept are obtained using AHP and Pugh concept Selection.

This game machine of the use only for the game with an existing system but the function of various purposes which carries out service relevant to a user's position information.   • The Internet with conventional routing scheme cannot meet user demands driven from drastic growth in the Internet user and various service and traffic type. MPLS(Multi Protocol Label Switching) was introduced to the Internet fur solution to resolve this problem. MPLS is a paradigm to integrate higher layer’s software routing functions including layer-3 routing with layer-2 switching. But, the exponential growth of Internet traffic brings out of label space. One scalable solution to cope with this problem is to introduce flow merge technique, i. e. a group of flows is forwarded using the same label. Specially, IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) recommends that ATM based MPLS system may include VC merge function, so it is scalable to increase of internet traffic. We implemented the MPLS LER system that includes the look-up and forwarding function in incoming path and VC merging function and limited traffic management function in outgoing path. This paper describes the implementation of the LER’s outgoing parts.

  • Lighting in indoor space is being changed to system lighting converged with IT technology. Office space lighting with incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps was completed through overall lighting plan by illumination in most cases, but convergence between LED lighting and IT technology enables the technology of responding to user requirements to be realized. Optical physical quantity suitable for humans and the lighting environment in accordance with user's sensibility, based on space function and user's behavior, would contribute to the improvement of service productivity, energy reduction, and enhancement of emotional satisfaction by providing user optimized lighting solution. Thus, user-customized system lighting guidelines to be applied with integration indicators of optics and sensibility are required. For the design elements required by users, environmental factors, product characteristics, optical characteristics, and sensibility factors are drawn from the design cases for office space and the survey, and the design check list and evaluation indicators are considered to reflect the requirements in the design and requirement indicators to give integrated satisfaction for optics and sensibility are developed. Purpose-centered design method from the user's viewpoint is applied to function-focused design through scenario, and it should be applied flexibly, as the new lightning design method solutions, to the concept design stage of space lighting design and device development. This paper, therefore, presents user-customized guidelines by pursuing the optics and sensibility evaluation and design method combining the requirement conditions and scenario, to be used for lighting content development and design.

The Method of Deciding Design Level of Service with Optimal User Cost (사용자비용최적화를 통한 도로 설계서비스수준 산정방안)

  • LOS(Level of Service), the qualitative measure describing operational condition of highway, must be evaluated as quantative index in terms of user service. So, This study is focused on developing the user cost function that user cost is measured in the variation of V/C, MOE(Measure of Effectiveness) of LOS in basic Section of highway. The user cost is calculated as the sum of accident cost, operation cost, travel time cost. The data is collected in the four basic section of Singal-Ansan and Jung bu Highway. As the result of user cost function analysis, the user cost is the lowest When V/C is 0.54. Considering the V/C ratio(0.7) of Basic Section in rural highway suggested in KHCM, We find out that the LOS suggested KHCM increase the user cost of highway.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to analyze the user requirements and developer requirements in virtual reality(VR), and suggest ways to increase the satisfaction of users who experience virtual reality. Specifically, focused on experience store of VR as a distribution retailer, user requirements were analyzed according to the results of previous research that the characteristics of Affordance, Presence, and Head Mounted Display (HMD) affect user satisfaction. Research, design, data, and methodology - Based on previous studies, in this study, we analyzed the importance of immerse, interaction, perception, and presence for the satisfaction of the user through the questionnaire, and the user experiences virtual reality (VR) The importance of HMD, Presence, Affordance, and experience satisfaction were analyzed. Based on this, we analyzed the user requirements and the developer requirements based on the questionnaires and interviews of the experts, starting from the user's desire or preference using QFD technique. Results - As a result of the analysis, the development factors that occupied a big part in the virtual reality field appeared to be visual. In detail, this showed that there was a lack of sense of presence for users. This should be improved. This paper shows that the requirements for visual, auditory, and tactile development are necessary. For the satisfaction of the users of virtual reality (VR) users, it is necessary to develop them according to their priority in consideration of importance and difficulty in the future. Conclusions - In this study, it was suggested that development according to priority should be considered, considering the difficulty level. Based on the results of this study, the following suggestions are made. First, we tried to search the list of user requirements as much as possible, but it is likely to change due to the development of VR technology. Therefore, it is necessary for developers to continually supplement user requirements with recent research literature. Second, development priorities according to difficulty level should be considered. This aspect should be considered in the actual VR development process, so if the numerical value of the difficulty is calculated, it should be presented in the research.

Mobile Donation Application of User Participation Base (사용자 참여 기반의 모바일 기부 어플리케이션)

  • In this paper, we propose an iPhone application that allows the user to pay for donations using the camera, GPS and call functions of the iPhone. As iOS version 3.0 allows the iPhone camera to detect and read bar codes and QR codes, the proposed application uses such codes to identify a product the user wishes to donation. After determining the user's location using the iPhone GPS function, the application can then perform a navigation task that guides the user to a suitable shop or store where the user can make his or her donation. In addition, the application offers an ARS call function that allows the user to make a direct donation, even if the user does not know the telephone number for making such donations. Therefore, the proposed application provides an easy means for the user to pay for donations directly or indirectly.
