A Study on Efficient User Retrieval Feedback for Component Reuse (컴포넌트 재사용을 위한 효율적인 사용자 검색 피드백에 관한 연구)

  • The paper describes a method of user feedback in order to enhance the retrieval effectiveness. In this paper, to overcome a weak point of the existing feedback function adapting fuzzy technique, we proposed the interaction function using gaussian function that gives different learning rate according to choice of components with same function. And, we grade degree that the user opinion is reflected to a system by applying user profile to the feedback function. User retrieval feedback method is adaptive retrieval method that makes a slow change for a long time using feedback function adapting gaussian function and user profile.

A Study on the Information System's Success Factors affecting End-user Performance (최종사용자의 생산성 향상을 위한 정보시스템 성공요인에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes the differences of the information system's success factors to improve the end-user's performance according to the job characteristics. A modified model of DeLone and McLean's IS success model is proposed with the two added variables of the top management concern and the IS department support. The model is validated using data collected from a field study of 3872 users on 3 Korean companies. ANOVA, correlation analysis, and stepwise regression are used to test research hypotheses. The results of the study indicate the following implications. First the top management concern and the IS department support have the significant relation with the system usage and the user satisfaction. Second, the system quality has an influence on the user satisfaction more than on the system usage. And the information quality has an influence on the system usage more than on the user satisfaction. Third, the system usage has more relations to the user's performance in the logistics function and R&D function. The user satisfaction has more relations to the user's performance in the sales and the A/S function. Therefore information system strategy to increase the user's performance must be differentiated according to job characteristics.

Research and Design of Functional Requirements of Shared Electric Bicycle App Based on User Experience

  • Intelligent applications are crucial for increasing the popularity of shared urban electric bicycles (EBs). Building an application platform architectural system that can satisfy independent user operations is critical for increasing the intelligent usage of shared EBs. Consequently, we collected online reviews of shared EB applications, conducted semantic processing and sentiment analysis, and refined the positive and negative review data for each function. The positive and negative review indices of each function were calculated using the formulae for positive and negative review indices of product functions, thereby determining the functions that need to be improved. Each function of the Shared EB application was improved according to its business process. The main contributions of this study are to build a user requirement architecture system for the Shared EB application with five dimensions and 22 functions using the Delphi method to design the user interface (UI) of this application based on user satisfaction evaluation results; to create a high-fidelity dynamic interaction prototype and compare user satisfaction before and after improving the Shared EB application functions. The testing results indicate that the changes in the UI significantly improve the user experience satisfaction of the urban Shared EB application, with the positive experience index increasing by 69.21% and the negative experience index decreasing by 75.85% overall. This information can be directly used by relevant companies to improve the functions of the Shared EB application.

  • This Study is Transfer function optimization plan of volume rendering of multi user environment. Each volume data, for appropriate transfer function, they should be adjusted parameter many times. To prevent this, we propose transfer function optimization plan using crowd sourcing. In multi user environment, we use weight value for reliability level for each user. Because transfer function parameter used previous users is provided next users, they can be used effectively optimized transfer function and can reduce attempts.

Study on Token based KMS for Information Sharing (정보 공유를 위한 토큰 기반 KMS 연구)

  • KMS (Knowledge Management System) is used by various organizations to share information. This KMS includes important information as well as basic information used by each organization. To protect infortant information stored in KMS, many KMS use user identification and authentication features. In such a KMS security environment, if the account information of a user who can access the KMS is leaked, a malicious attacker using the account information can access the KMS and access all authorized important information. In this study, we propose KMS with user access control function that can protect important information even if user account information is leaked. The KMS with the user access control function proposed in this study protects the stored files in the KMS by applying an encryption algorithm. Users can access important documents by using tokens after logging in. A malicious attacker without a Token cannot access important files. As a result of checking the unit function for the target user access control function for effectiveness verification, it was confirmed that the access control function to be provided by KMS is normally provided.

  • The aim of the present study is to find a good quality user equilibrium assignments under time varying condition. For this purpose, this study introduces a dynamic network loading method that can maintain correct flow propagation as well as flow conservation, and it develops a novel solution algorithm that does not need evaluation of the objective function by modifying the Schittenhelm (1990)'s algorithm. This novel algorithm turns out to be efficient and convenient compared to the conventional Frank-Wolfe (1956) algorithm because the former finds solutions based on routes rather than links so that it can maintain correct flow propagation intrinsically in the time-varying network conditions. The application of dynamic user equilibrium (DUE) assignment model with this novel solution algorithm to test networks including medium-sized one shows that the present DUE assignment model gives rise to high quality discrete time solutions when we adopt the deterministic queuing model for a link performance function, and we associate flows and costs in a proper way.

  • This article aimed at broadening the view on 'the concept of function' in furniture design. In this context, we argued that the established concept of furniture function has confined itself to the rational perspective, so that the emotional action and influence of furniture hardly regarded as an important issue in furniture design, and this has been a hinderance to multidirectional discussions on the meaning of furniture in our life. Starting from the investigation on the basis that forms the different dimensions of our experience of furniture, we clarified that we should view the meaning of furniture within a wider sphere where the actions of furniture on our perceptional, behavioral, and emotional levels are inclusively considered. In this light, 'emotional function' of furniture was defined as a concept that explains a multidimensional action of furniture, which leads creative aesthetic experience which enrich the interplays between designer, furniture, and user. The feasibility of the concept has been examined by an analysis on the characteristics of contemporary Art Furniture, which is experimental approaches towards various aesthetic values of art and design. In order to realize emotional function of furniture, furniture should become an experiment for the new perception and emotion; invite more of the user's interplay and action in the meaning-making process; and arouse emotional echoes and reflections within user's mind.

  • The purpose of this study is, According to society changing fast, human life is changing in the direction of complexity and variety, the middle class and multiple structure have been generated in relation between architecture and function. Accordingly, considering the analyzed elements of the main floor space planning and relation of the factors in space planning of Seoul s public libraries. The Public Library is variety of function is abstracted to the plan for Space Composition Form from future public library, analysis of “This point of user, how to composition is the space of different function” and “How to is the connection between the educational function and the other function, complexity of space.” With above distinctive themes and the research, the typology of public library in seoul city, At the first, the research shows that the public library is 8 type, and high in typology of “TYPE 7 (A3-B2-Cl)”. Secondary, There appears public library, such as in the satisfaction of the One-Function-User is high in “TYPE 3 (A1-B2-C3)”, in the satisfaction over the Two-Function-User is high in “TYPE 6 (A3-B1-C1)”

D2D Power Control in the Cellular System: Iterative Algorithm and Convergence

  • In this paper, we consider the case where D2D users and the cellular user share the uplink of the cellular system. We propose an iterative power control algorithm that converges to the optimum power value. Each user iteratively updates its transmit power level according to the interference function. Finally, all D2D users and cellular user that participate in the transmission get the optimum transmit power level. We first investigate the interference structure and define the interference function. Then, we show that the considered interference function belongs to the standard interference function that converges the unique transmit power level. Through numerical examples, the convergence of the proposed power control algorithm is examined in the various transmission scenarios.

An Approximate Calculation Model for Electromagnetic Devices Based on a User-Defined Interpolating Function

  • Optimization design and robust design are significant measures for improving the performance and reliability of electromagnetic devices (EMDs, specifically refer to relays, contactors in this paper). However, the implementation of the above-mentioned design requires substantial calculation; consequently, on the premise of guaranteeing precision, how to improve the calculation speed is a problem that needs to be solved. This paper proposes a new method for establishing an approximate model for the EMD. It builds a relationship between the input and output of the EMD with different coil voltages and air gaps, by using a user-defined interpolating function. The coefficient of the fitting function is determined based on a quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO) method. The effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper is verified by the electromagnetic force calculation results of an electromagnetic relay with permanent magnet.
