지식정보자원시스템 이용자 경험 지표개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of User Experience Indicators for The Knowledge and Information Resource System)

  • 본 연구에서는 이용자 경험의 관점에서 지식정보자원시스템을 평가하기 위한 이용자 경험 지표를 개발하였다. 선행연구에서 도출된 이용자 경험요인을 검증하고 지표로 개발하기 위해 설문조사를 수행하였으며, 사전조사 158명, 본 조사 480명을 대상으로 데이터를 수집하였다. 수집된 데이터는 기술통계, 탐색적 요인분석, 상관관계분석, 확인적 요인분석, 경로분석을 통해 분석을 수행하였다. 수행결과 총 7개 경험요인, 37개 세부 경험요인, 105개 시스템 지각요인이 최종 지식정보자원시스템 이용자 경험 지표로 도출되었다. 도출된 이용자 경험 지표는 지식정보자원시스템 이용자들이 지각하는 이용자 경험 정도를 측정할 수 있으며, 검증된 평가지표로서 활용하여 각 경험요인에 대한 단순 비교가 아닌 상관관계가 반영된 실효성 있는 평가를 진행해 볼 수 있다는데 의의가 있다.

  • The ultimate purpose of game design is to lay out a design which provides more convenient, more exciting, and more satisfying game to the users. It is needed to adopt the demands and the evaluations of the users, so that to develop user-centered games, yet easier and simpler, to increase their popularity and to improve their productivity. On this basis, the study presents the methods of improving game designs by repeating application of the assessment of the game, through the development of prototype in the Int stage of game project.

  • 위치 인식 기술의 발전 및 스마트 디바이스 사용의 활성화로 인해 위치 기반 서비스과 소셜 네트워크를 결합하여 사용자에게 정보를 공유하는 위치 기반 소셜 네트워크(LBSN: Location Based Social Network)이 활성화되고 있다. 위치 기반 소셜 네트워크에서 사용자의 체크인 기능을 이용하여 사용자가 가 흥미있어 할 만한 장소를 추천하는 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문은 위치기반 소셜 네트워크에서 시간과 사용자 활동을 고려한 장소 추천 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 기존 논문에서 고려하지 못한 시간에 따른 사용자의 선호도 변화와 지역의 전문가, 희귀한 장소에 대한 사용자의 관심을 고려한다. 다시 말해, 사용자의 선호도 변화를 고려하기 위해 시간에 따른 체크인 이력을 사용하고 지역의 전문가를 판별하기 위해 사용자 활동 영역을 구분한다. 그리고 사용자가 선호하는 장소에 가중치를 주기 위하여 희귀한 장소를 고려한다. 다양한 성능평가를 통해 제안하는 기법이 기존 기법에 비해 성능이 우수함을 보인다.

Light-weight Preservation of Access Pattern Privacy in Un-trusted Storage

  • With the emergence of cloud computing, more and more sensitive user data are outsourced to remote storage servers. The privacy of users' access pattern to the data should be protected to prevent un-trusted storage servers from inferring users' private information or launching stealthy attacks. Meanwhile, the privacy protection schemes should be efficient as cloud users often use thin client devices to access the data. In this paper, we propose a lightweight scheme to protect the privacy of data access pattern. Comparing with existing state-of-the-art solutions, our scheme incurs less communication and computational overhead, requires significantly less storage space at the user side, while consuming similar storage space at the server. Rigorous proofs and extensive evaluations have been conducted to show that the proposed scheme can hide the data access pattern effectively in the long run after a reasonable number of accesses have been made.

  • At recent, the Internet is evolving into the directions which is capable of incorporating stream-type services such as voice and video services due to the remarkable growth of WWW service and the development of new multimedia application services. However, the existing Internet can only support a best-effort delivery model and thus it is difficult to satisfy these requirements as well as to provide the QoS beyond a certain degree. Accordingly, it is imperative to develop QoS-based routing algorithm in order to allow flexible routing by the Internet user's QoS demand and to be applied into wide area networks. In this paper, we presented new routing algorithms for next generation Internet services and made performance evaluations. The proposed algorithms allow the routing by the user's QoS demand level in order to provide the diverse Internet application services based on ATM network environment that is expected to play a role as an infrastructure of next Generation Internet Services.

  • Today, effective utilization of sophisticated networks greatly influences the activities of a business, making performance evaluations of computer network systems a necessity, We have developed a special computer network simulator capable of automatically generating a model based on data accumulated by a network analyzer to guide the user in selecting ideal parameters. The simulator was developed to provide user-friendly analysis for engineers involved in the actual network design. This paper gives an overview of the simulator and describes an example application of evaluating a network design that anticipates the future increase in traffic for a company introducing voice over frame relay (VoFR) into a wide area network (WAW).

  • Pantograph, which collects current from cartenary system, is one of the important parts of high-speed train. Kinematic analysis is one of the key technologies for pantograph design and includes joint trajectories, reaction forces, and the required moment of main shaft calculations. The kinematic analysis, however, is very complex and time-consuming process. In this study PC based pantograph kinematic analysis software using graphical user interface tool was developed for the easy evaluations of kinematic characteristics necessary in pantograph design process.

  • Online image dictionary has become more and more popular in concepts cognition. However, for existing online systems, only very few images are manually picked to demonstrate the concepts. Currently, there is very little research found on automatically choosing large scale online images with the help of semantic analysis. In this paper, we propose a novel framework to utilize community-generated online multimedia content to visually illustrate certain concepts. Our proposed framework adapts various techniques, including the correlation analysis, semantic and visual clustering to produce sets of high quality, precise, diverse and representative images to visually translate a given concept. To make the best use of our results, a user interface is deployed, which displays the representative images according the latent semantic coherence. The objective and subjective evaluations show the feasibility and effectiveness of our approach.

A Simulation Model of Object Movement for Evaluating the Communication Load in Networked Virtual Environments

  • In this paper, we propose a common simulation model that can be reused for different performance evaluations of networked virtual environments. To this end, we analyzed the common features of NVEs, in which multiple regions compose a shared space, and where a user has his/her own interest area. Communication architecture can be client-server or peer-server models. In usual simulations, users move around the world while the number of users varies with the system. Our model provides various simulation parameters to customize the region configuration and user movement pattern. Furthermore, our model introduces a way to mimic a lot of users in a minimal experiment environment. The proposed model is integrated with our network framework, which supports various scalability approaches. We specifically applied our model to the interest management and load distribution schemes to evaluate communication overhead. With the proposed simulation model, a new simulation can be easily designed in a large-scale environment.

  • In this paper, we propose a friend recommendation scheme that takes into consideration the attribute information of a POI and a user's movement patterns. The proposed scheme broadly consists of a part that filters out other users who have different preferences by calculating preferences using the attribute information of users and a part that finds a moving trajectory close to that of a user with a pattern-matching scheme. To verify the superiority of the proposed scheme, we compare it with existing schemes through various performance evaluations.
