  • This study is aimed at design and implementation of data format for non-book materials in the field of library user interface. The ba-sic data elements were complied with KORMARC and some amend-ments with detailed expansions were applied for development of the use of at libraries. The data formats of various types of media such as books, audio materials, image data, pamphlets, posters which stored in art library were designed respectively through the use of Graphical User Interface.

  • The goal of this study is finding flow-map in conversation what is going on user and embodied conversational agent by analysing that conversation. Specifically, this study not only find elements of conversation, but also draw out patterns of conversation can be exist for dialogue ability between user and Embodied conversational agent. To do this, we collect data through in-depth one to one interview, and then we analysis collected data to try to find out element of user-agent conversation based on qualitative research refer to the theory of conversation analytics and type of conversation. As a result, six flow map is deducted Especially, the irregular conversation is hard to find in human-human conversation, and the frequency is the most in data. In addition, when elements of interruption came out, be hostile to partner or correct the press conversation. This study can have positive effect to embodied conversation agent developer, user and service offerer because this study find the type of conversation through analysis that between embodied conversational agent and user.

Landscape Elements and User Satisfaction in National Street: Focusing on Gwangwhamun Square (국가상징거리의 구성요소 특징과 만족도에 관한 연구: 광화문 광장을 중심으로)

  • National street has become one of open space for enhancing environmental qualities of city and country. In the developed countries such as France, U.K. U.S.A are designed symbolic malls, squares and street which are represented the historicity, culture and symbolic place. For place identity, we analyzed the relationship between element and user satisfaction in Sejong Avenue, Gwangwhamun Square. Data were analyzed using statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, ANOVA and correlation. Results of this study are as follows, i) factor analysis is carried out to extract spatial components and satisfaction. The satisfaction concerning transportation access was the higher than other factors, ii) user satisfaction was strongly correlated on the spatial elements, iii) user showed high user perception to study site. Results of this study can identify representative street management plan based on landscape elements and user satisfaction.

  • Understanding consumer behavior based on the analysis of the customer data is one essential part of analytic CRM. To do this, the analytic skills for data extraction and data processing are required to users. As a user has various kinds of questions for the consumer data analysis, the user should use database language such as SQL. However, for the firm's user, to generate SQL statements is not easy because the accuracy of the query result is hugely influenced by the knowledge of work-site operation and the firm's database. This paper proposes a natural language based database search framework finding relevant database elements. Specifically, we describe how our TableRank method can understand the user's natural query language and provide proper relations and attributes of data records to the user. Through several experiments, it is supported that the TableRank provides accurate database elements related to the user's natural query. We also show that the close distance among relations in the database represents the high data connectivity which guarantees matching with a search query from a user.

Performance Analysis of Low-Order Surface Methods for Compact Network RTK: Case Study

  • Compact Network Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) is a method that combines compact RTK and network RTK, and it can effectively reduce the time and spatial de-correlation errors. A network RTK user receives multiple correction information generated from reference stations that constitute a network, calculates correction information that is appropriate for one's own position through a proper combination method, and uses the information for the estimation of the position. This combination method is classified depending on the method for modeling the GPS error elements included in correction information, and the user position accuracy is affected by the accuracy of this modeling. Among the GPS error elements included in correction information, tropospheric delay is generally eliminated using a tropospheric model, and a combination method is then applied. In the case of a tropospheric model, the estimation accuracy varies depending on the meteorological condition, and thus eliminating the tropospheric delay of correction information using a tropospheric model is limited to a certain extent. In this study, correction information modeling accuracy performances were compared focusing on the Low-Order Surface Model (LSM), which models the GPS error elements included in correction information using a low-order surface, and a modified LSM method that considers tropospheric delay characteristics depending on altitude. Both of the two methods model GPS error elements in relation to altitude, but the second method reflects the characteristics of actual tropospheric delay depending on altitude. In this study, the final residual errors of user measurements were compared and analyzed using the correction information generated by the various methods mentioned above. For the performance comparison and analysis, various GPS actual measurement data were collected. The results indicated that the modified LSM method that considers actual tropospheric characteristics showed improved performance in terms of user measurement residual error and position domain residual error.

  • With the expansion of metaverse content and hardware platforms, various interactions in the virtual world have been built, raising expectations for an increase in immersion which is a major element of the metaverse. However, among hardware platforms that increase virtual immersion elements, the typical HMD platform can be a barrier to new user inflows due to its high cost. Thus, this paper focused on improving virtual-to-real interactions by extracting motion data using relatively inexpensive webcam equipment in PC environments, utilizing Unity game engines, Photon unity network, multi-platform implementations, and Barracuda neural network inference libraries.

A Study on Quantitative Measurement of Metadata Quality for Journal Articles (학술지 기사에 대한 메타데이터 품질의 계량화 방법에 관한 연구)

  • Most metadata quality measurement employ simple techniques by counting error records. This study presents a new quantitative measurement of metadata quality using advanced weighting schemes in order to overcome the limitations of exiting measurement techniques. Entropy, user tasks, and usage statistics were used to calculate the weights. Integrated weights were presented by combining these weights and were applied to actual journal article metadata. Entropy weights were found to reflect the characteristics of the data itself. User tasks presented the required metadata elements to solve user's information need. Integrated weights showed balanced measures without being affected by the influence of error elements, This finding indicates the new method being suitable for quantitative measurement of metadata quality.

User Participation Evaluation of A Scholarly Information Site (학술정보사이트의 이용자 참여형 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a methodology of user participation evaluation of a scholarly information site in the field of science and technology and to enhance the site by applying a set of testing protocols. Experiments were conducted in a laboratory setting. Data from multiple sources, including eyetracking, search logs and post surveys, were collected and analyzed quantitatively. Based on the results of eyetracking, the contents and images were reorganized after removing unessential elements in the site. The resulting data from the search logs showed that the users were able to finish the tasks more quickly with the revised user interface. The results of the data analysis of post surveys indicated an overall improvement in the revised website compared to the original one.

  • This study attempted to explore and examine a new user experience (UX) research method for IoT products which are becoming widely used but lack practical user research. While user experience research has been traditionally opted for survey or observation methods, this paper utilized big data analysis method for user online reviews on an intelligent agent IoT product, Amazon's Echo. The results of topic modelling analysis extracted user experience elements such as features, conversational interaction, and updates. In addition, regression analysis showed that the topic of updates was the most influential determinant of user satisfaction. The main implication of this study is the new introduction of big data analysis method into the user experience research for the intelligent agent IoT products.
