This research report cuts across management sciences (market strategy entry mode development) and innovative technology (Electric Vehicle (EV)) alongside measures to submerge global warming. The development of a successful entry mode for the electric Vehicle into the African continent is the main objective of the study. The study focuses on an analysis of how electric car manufacturers can enter the African market in other to achieve global sustainability and social responsibility. The methodology is based on identifying the factors that affect the choice of an entry mode into international markets by multinational companies desiring to leverage their revenue through a foreign market. It also offered a quantitative approach that can support the economic and sustainability entry mode model for EVs and a qualitative approach of Porter's five forces analysis as an entry mode coaching tool for EVs. These proxies are used in quite a wide range of multivariate statistical methods (trend analysis, ratio, and probability, comparative t-test technique, auto-regression, and ordinary least square technique). The result acknowledges joint venture and setting of the plant (physical presents) as the optimal entry mode in African EV market. It requires the EV manufacturers a tire-free emission innovation technology in order to optimize the global sustainability initiative.

To maintain competitiveness in the modern automotive market, it is important to carry out process planning concurrently with new car development processes. Process planners need to make decisions concurrently and collaboratively in order to reduce manufacturing preparation time for developing a new car. Automated generation of a simulation model by using the integrated process plan database can reduce time consumed for carrying out a simulation and allow a consistent model to be used throughout. In this research, we developed a web-based system for concurrent and collaborative process planning and flow analysis for an automotive general assembly using web, database, and simulation technology. A single integrated database is designed to automatically generate simulation models from process plans without having to rework the data. This system enables process planners to evaluate their decisions quickly, considering various factors, and easily share their opinions with others. By using this collaborative system, time and cost put into the assembly process planning can be reduced and the reliability of the process plan would be improved.

공기 저항으로 인하여 자동차가 연료를 많이 소모하는 경우가 있다. 본 연구에서는 승용차 차체 주위에서의 유동해석을 이용하여 공기 흐름에 대한 그 유동 저항을 분석한다. 그리고 실제 시장에서 팔리는 차로서 그 연구 모델들을 사용하였다. CFX인 유동해석을 이용하여 유동 입구평면에 들어가는 공기의 유속은 80km/h와 110km/h인 2가지 경우로서 본 연구방법으로서 자동차가 진행시 자동차 주위의 공기 유속과 차체 뒷면의 압력을 조사하였다. 연구모델의 형상은 Model 1 및 2인 두 가지로 하였다. 그리고 Case 1, 2, 3, 4인 4가지의 유동 흐름의 경우 중에서 Case 1의 경우가 차체 뒷면의 최대압력이 $1.017{\times}10^5Pa$로 가장 큰 압력을 나타내었다. 또한 Case 1의 경우에 차체주위에 흐르는 공기의 최대 속도가 43.81m/s로서 가장 큰 압력을 나타내었다. 승용차의 고속 주행 시(110km/h)가 정속 주행(80km/h)보다 큰 공기의 항력이 나타나는 것을 알 수 있고 차체의 단면적이 넓은 차가 단면적이 작은 차보다 항력이 더 크게 나타난 것을 알 수 있다. 본 해석 결과를 이용하여 공기 저항을 줄일 수 있는 자동차 차체의 형상 설계를 효율적으로 할 수 있다고 사료된다.

본 연구에서는 MESSAGE를 이용하여 승용 부문의 중장기 온실가스 감축잠재량 전망을 위한 방법론과 그 결과를 제시하고 있다. 승용부문의 실질적인 온실가스 감축잠재량을 구하는 것이 아니라 가장 대표적인 중형차 부문의 4가지 차종인, 기존 내연기관차, 하이브리드, 플러그인 하이브리드, 전기차를 이용하여 2050년까지 시장점유율 변화를 알아는데 중점을 두었다. 승용 부문의 감축잠재량 분석을 위해 녹색위원회의 그린카 로드맵을 중심으로 한 BAU 시나리오, 그린카 보급을 강화하는 시나리오, 학습 곡선을 이용하여 학습률에 따른 차량 가격 시나리오, 그린카의 학습률을 강화하는 시나리오 등 4가지 시나리오를 구성하였다. 그린카 보급 강화 시나리오에서 2050년에는 BAU 시나리오 대비 13%의 배출량이 감소하였고, 학습률에 따른 차량 가격 시나리오 및 학습률 강화 시나리오에서는 14%의 배출량이 감소함을 알 수 있었다.

Recently, navigation system is widely accepted for many car users for its versatile facilities. In Korea, many navigation system include DMB (digial multimedia broadcasting) which is mobile TV broadcasting system standard in Korea. However, there is little works on the navigation systems for the European market where the DVB-T can be used for the multimedia broadcasting. Thus, in this work the navigation system with DVB-T is developed and tested for European market resulting increased profits for the navigation manufacturers.

The research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of the CAMELS ratio either partially or simultaneously on stock prices. The CAMELS ratio (Capital, Asset Quality, Management, Earning, Liquidity) is used to measure the soundness of a bank, where by the better the soundness of the bank, the more profitable the bank will be for potential investors and other interested parties. The population of this research consists of the four state banks documented on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the 2012-2019 period. The sample selection technique is a saturated sampling. This study provides the results that partially CAR has a significant effect on the share price of government banks listed on the IDX. Meanwhile, NPL, NPM, ROA, and LDR do not have a significant effect on stock prices of state banks listed on the IDX. The results of the regression analysis show that, together the CAMELS ratio, which is proxied by CAR, NPLS, NPM, ROA, and LDR has a positive and significant influence on the share price of state-owned banks documented on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, so this can be used as a reference for investors in predicting the share price of a state-owned bank before investing in shares.

This study analyzed the expressions of racing girl uniforms that promote automobile brands shown at Seoul and Busan motor shows. The results are as follows. In each of the design components expression, the glossy and plain material, the achromatic color, and the dress style appeared most frequently in the uniform design of both domestic and foreign automobile brands. In the fashion image expression, sexy image appeared the most, followed by modern image, romantic image, active image, elegance image and ethnic image. Based on the analysis results, the following expressive characteristics were identified: First, sexy images were used in uniform design to express the streamline and speedy feeling of a car metaphorically. Second, modern image, glossy material, and achromatic color were used for a uniform design to express advanced technology and the future orientation of an automobile. Third, fashion images that match the automobile type emphasized the brand image of the car. Fourth, some of the manufacturers that prevailed in the automobile market promoted several automobile brands exhibited with a unified uniform design that expressed the design philosophy and concept. As such, the motor show racing girl uniform contributed to promoting automobile brand identity and the automobile industry.

최근 자동차 산업은 친환경, 편리함, 안전성과 같은 키워드를 중심으로 기술 발전이 이뤄지면서 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 친환경에 대한 관심과 맞물려 그린 카(green car)가 이목을 끌고 사용자 편의를 위한 첨단 기술 및 기능을 갖춘 고성능 자동차가 시장에 출시되고 있다. 발전하는 차량 성능으로 인해서 이에 맞는 전장품의 개발 또한 필수적이다. 자동차용 전장품은 고온, 고습, 열충격, 진동, 오염 등 복합적인 환경에서 사용되기 때문에 여타 산업에 비해 높은 수준의 신뢰성 검증이 필요하다. 특히, 부품 내 접합부의 신뢰성을 확보하여 무리없이 기능을 수행하고 운전자의 안전을 보장하는 것이 핵심이다. 따라서 저자는 차량 전장품의 최근 동향을 살펴보고 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있는 접합 방법으로 솔더링, TLP 접합 및 소결접합을 소개하였다.

Purpose - To accelerate economic cooperation, this study investigates trade structures of Korea and the United States and identifies trade discrepancies. Such discoveries can lead to increases in trade volume by improving policies, eventually uncovering ways for trade expansion. Research design, data, and methodology - The Index of trade intensity, from trade intensity theory, is used to analyze the trade decision factors. Even though specific factors should materialize in the analysis, realistically, concrete explanations are difficult as there are so many unsolved factors and diversifications. Results - First, the Index of A value/ B value positions Korean against the United States in terms of market share and Korea against world market share, which thereby reveals comparative market intensity. Second, Korea is taking comparative advantage of export specialization. Third, real comparative advantage indices are considerably improved since early 2000. Conclusions - This study uses quantitative measurements and trade intensity theory and trade specialization to come up with a comparative advantage index to see how inter-trade relations between Korea and the United States have changed over the past 10 years.

The car industry is one of the technological applications which more rare earth metals employes as three-way catalysts. Therefore, the recovery of rare earth metals from the used automotive three-way catalysts could be important source to obtain these metals. This work presents the analysis of market and demand for rare earth metal in automotive three-way catalyst and introduces the dry and the wet processes for the recovery of rare earth metals from used three-way catalyst. Finally, the alternative methods to conventional wet processes was simply suggested based on the economic and ecological point of view.
