  • Many production management systems for increasing productivity, minimizing inventory, keeping due dates and maximizing use of resources have been proposed, and GT, MRP and JIT are frequently used among these systems. The three systems have merits and demerits through comparing with each other. Because each system has mutual dependence, a hybrid production system is necessary for using their merits maximally. In this study, a hybrid production system is designed by combining GT, MRP and JIT, which is suitable in the domestic production system.

  • A multivariate statistic based on interdirection is proposed for detecting dependence among many vectors. The asymptotic distribution of the proposed statistic is derived under the null hypothesis of independence. Also we find the asymptotic distribution under the alternatives contiguous to the null hypothesis, which is needed for later use of computing relative efficiencies.

  • Ignition of a reactive solid in a shape of square corner by a hot surface is studied theoretically. Ignition time and the location of ignition point are determined as a function of dimensionless parameters, with the use of the homogeneous model of ignition. The effect of geometry on the ignition of solid fuel results in the local characteristics: the reaction is initiated in a hot point in depth of the substance. It is shown that ignition time is proportional to the dimensionless initial temperature, whereas for the ignition of the semiinfinite body this dependence was quadratic.

  • In this paper, collapse test of thin-walled structures, which are widely used in the vehicle members is carried out to observe the dependence of cross-sectional forms and materials on the absorbed energy in the viewpoint of crashworthiness. Also, specimens consist of two kinds (Al, CFRP) with various thickness. Comparisons of circular specimens are made to find characteristics of the different specimens on the absorption ability according to specimen thickness and materials.

  • It is a long-standing issue to correctly determine the number of long-run relationships among time series processes. We revisit nonparametric test for cointegration rank and propose bootstrap refinements. Consistent with model-free nature of the tests, we make use of Cholesky factor bootstrap methods, which require weak conditions for data generating processes. Simulation studies show that the original Breitung's test have difficulty in obtaining the correct size due to dependence in cointegrated errors. Our proposed bootstrapped tests considerably mitigate size distortions and represent a complementary approach to other bootstrap refinements, including sieve methods.

  • FBG(Fiber Bragg grating)s have shown a great potential for sensing applications, and are easily embedded in materials with a negligible impact on the mechanical properties of the host. However, the use of FBG sensors is limited by their simultaneous dependence on strain and temperature, thus only one parameter can be determined from a single grating. This paper reviews various methods to discriminate between strain and temperature effects. To overcome this cross sensitivity using only embedded optical fibers, a number of techniques have been proposed, most of them relying on the deconvolution of two simultaneous measurements.

  • Morphine is a potent analgesic and addictive substance. Morphine produces neurotoxicity such as rewarding effect, analgesic tolerance and physical dependence. It has been restricted to the use of morphine in patients because of these problems. The present study was investigated the effect of berberine on the neurotoxicity of morphine. Repeated administration of morphine produced conditioned place prefernece (CPP) and behavioral sensitization in mice. (omitted)

  • Major depressive disorder causes significant dysfunction and disability. Many of depressed patients tend to have cormobid anxiety disorders, substance use disorders and personality disorders, and so on. In this study, we reviewed researches about the effects of comorbid anxiety disorder, substance use disorder on depressive symptoms, progress, treatment, etc. In addition, the latest knowledges related to treatment was reviewed. If the symptoms of anxiety disorder coexist, They leads to the deterioration of the course and has an adverse effect on treatment response. Comorbid substance use disorder, such as alcohol dependence, causes worsening of symptoms and progression, and a loss of therapeutic response. Therapeutic clinical guidelines and instructions to comorbid psychiatric disorders on major depressive disorder was not established clearly, but consensus-based or evidence-based studies will be necessary for treatment for comorbid psychiatric disorders on major depressive disorder.

  • Alcohol is so-called "a magic bullet" affecting on the various organs and central and peripheral nervous systems and causes mental illness as well as physiological and psychological dependence. Also, alcohol problem is related with serious social problems including family violence, suicide, loss of job and crimes. Because alcohol use disorder is a common cause of consultation and liaison in general hospital, we could consider alcohol use disorder of one of psychosomatic disorder. Thus, I reviewed the prevalence, rate of consultation, and general consultant and treatment issues in treating patients with substance use disorder in a psychosomatic medicine.

  • Objectives: To review clinical research trends of herbal medicine treatment for alcohol use disorder. Methods: Three domestic databases and eight foreign databases were used to search for published articles by November 1, 2023 in each database. A total of 9 studies were included. Results: There were eight randomized control studies and one non-randomized control study. All randomized control studies were designed with 2-arm paralleled. The non-randomized control study was designed with 2-arm crossover. The most commonly used prescriptions were Kudzu extract capsules and Seoganhaeul capsules. The most used herbs were Puerariae Radix, Hyperici Perforati Herba, and Acanthopanacis Senticosi Radix et Rhizoma seu Caulis. Conclusions: Traditional herbal medicine might be effective in alleviating drinking behavior, physical problems, and psychological problems of patients with alcohol use disorder. However, the limited number of included studies suggests that further methodologically rigorous research studies on herbal medicine treatment for alcohol use disorder are needed in the future.
