Core technologies that lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, such as artificial intelligence, big data, and autonomous driving, are implemented and serviced through the rapid development of computing power and hyper-connected networks based on the Internet of Things. In this paper, we implement two different models for drivable area segmentation in various environment, and propose a better model by comparing the results. The models for drivable area segmentation are using DeepLab V3+ and Mask R-CNN, which have great performances in the field of image segmentation and are used in many studies in autonomous driving technology. For driving information in various environment, we use BDD dataset which provides driving videos and images in various weather conditions and day&night time. The result of two different models shows that Mask R-CNN has higher performance with 68.33% IoU than DeepLab V3+ with 48.97% IoU. In addition, the result of visual inspection of drivable area segmentation on driving image, the accuracy of Mask R-CNN is 83% and DeepLab V3+ is 69%. It indicates Mask R-CNN is more efficient than DeepLab V3+ in drivable area segmentation.

Patents that are research results from industry-university cooperation (IUC) are a source of innovation, and play an important role in economic growth, such as technology transfer and commercialization. For this reason, there are many efforts to revitalize IUC, but in general, company patents are achievements that can be commercialized, rather than research achievements, so not all patents are used for business, even after their creation as the outcome of IUC. Therefore, this research supports the design of measures in which IUC can ultimately be linked to successful utilization of patents by identifying the purposes of IUC, even after it has been successfully promoted, and patents have been filed as a result. To this end, first, the patents registered for industry-academia cooperation in the United States are collected, and second, a predictive model is designed, with unexpired and expired patents predicted using machine learning techniques. The final identified patents are intended to derive available factors in terms of marketability and technicality. This study is expected to help predict the utilization of unexpired and expired patents, and is expected to contribute to setting goals for research results from technical cooperation between corporate and university officials planning early IUC.
This study is a study on a methodology that can extract various factors that affect purchase and use of products/services from the consumer's point of view through previous studies, and analyze the types and tendencies of consumers according to age and gender. To this end, we quantify factors in terms of general personal propensity, consumption influence, consumption decision, etc. to check the consistency of data, and based on these studies, we conduct research to suggest and prove data analysis methodologies of consumer types that are meaningful from the perspectives of startups and SMEs. did As a result, it was confirmed through cross-validation that there is a correlation between the three main factors assumed for data analysis from the consumer's point of view, the general tendency, the general consumption tendency, and the factors influencing the consumption decision. verified. This study presented a data analysis methodology and a framework for consumer data analysis from the consumer's point of view. In the current data analysis trend, where digital infrastructure develops exponentially and seeks ways to project individual preferences, this data analysis perspective can be a valid insight.

A number of studies have been conducted recently regarding the development of automation systems for the construction sector. Much of this attention has focused on earthwork because it is highly dependent on construction machines and is regarded as being basic for the construction of buildings and civil works. For example, technologies are being developed in order to enable earthwork planning based on construction site models that are constructed by automatic systems and to enable construction equipment to perform the work based on the plan and the environment. There are many problems that need to be solved in order to enable the use of automatic earthwork systems in construction sites. For example, technologies are needed for enabling collaborations between similar and different kinds of construction equipment. This study aims to develop a construction system that imitates collaborative systems and decision-making methods that are used by humans. The proposed system relies on the multi-agent concept from the field of artificial intelligence. In order to develop a multi-agent-based system, configurations and functions are proposed for the agents and a framework for collaboration and arbitration between agents is presented. Furthermore, methods are introduced for preventing duplicate work and minimizing interference effects during the collaboration process. Methods are also presented for performing advance planning for the excavators and compactors that are involved in the construction. The current study suggests a theoretical framework and evaluates the results using virtual simulations. However, in the future, an empirical study will be conducted in order to apply these concepts to actual construction sites through the development of a physical system.

Recently, there was an increasing demand for an integrated access control system which is capable of user recognition, door control, and facility operations control for smart buildings automation. The market available door lock access control solutions need to be improved from the current level security of door locks operations where security is compromised when a password or digital keys are exposed to the strangers. At present, the access control system solution providers focusing on developing an automatic access control system using (RF) based technologies like bluetooth, WiFi, etc. All the existing automatic door access control technologies required an additional hardware interface and always vulnerable security threads. This paper proposes the user identification and authentication solution for automatic door lock control operations using camera based visible light communication (VLC) technology. This proposed approach use the cameras installed in building facility, user smart devices and IoT open source controller based LED light sensors installed in buildings infrastructure. The building facility installed IoT LED light sensors transmit the authorized user and facility information color grid code and the smart device camera decode the user informations and verify with stored user information then indicate the authentication status to the user and send authentication acknowledgement to facility door lock integrated camera to control the door lock operations. The camera based VLC receiver uses the artificial intelligence (AI) methods to decode VLC data to improve the VLC performance. This paper implements the testbed model using IoT open-source based LED light sensor with CCTV camera and user smartphone devices. The experiment results are verified with custom made convolutional neural network (CNN) based AI techniques for VLC deciding method on smart devices and PC based CCTV monitoring solutions. The archived experiment results confirm that proposed door access control solution is effective and robust for automatic door access control.

The perovskite solar cell is an active part of research in renewable energy fields such as solar energy, wind, hydroelectric power, marine energy, bioenergy, and hydrogen energy to replace fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas, which will gradually disappear as power demand increases due to the increase in use of the Internet of Things and Virtual environments due to the 4th industrial revolution. The perovskite solar cell is a solar cell device using an organic-inorganic hybrid material having a perovskite structure, and has advantages of replacing existing silicon solar cells with high efficiency, low cost solutions, and low temperature processes. In order to optimize the light absorption layer thin film predicted by the existing empirical method, reliability must be verified through device characteristics evaluation. However, since it costs a lot to evaluate the characteristics of the light-absorbing layer thin film device, the number of tests is limited. In order to solve this problem, the development and applicability of a clear and valid model using machine learning or artificial intelligence model as an auxiliary means for optimizing the light absorption layer thin film are considered infinite. In this study, to estimate the light absorption layer thin-film optimization of perovskite solar cells, the regression models of the support vector machine's linear kernel, R.B.F kernel, polynomial kernel, and sigmoid kernel were compared to verify the accuracy difference for each kernel function.

Recently, as the use of applications such as big data programs and machine learning programs that are driven while generating large amounts of data in the program itself becomes common, the existing main memory alone lacks memory, making it difficult to execute the program quickly. In particular, the need to derive results more quickly has emerged in a situation where it is necessary to analyze whether the entire sequence is genetically altered due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. As a result of measuring performance by applying large-capacity data to a computing system equipped with a self-developed memory pool MOCA host adapter instead of processing large-capacity data from an existing SSD, performance improved by 16% compared to the existing SSD system. In addition, in various other benchmark tests, IO performance was 92.8%, 80.6%, and 32.8% faster than SSD in computing systems equipped with memory pool MOCA host adapters such as SortSampleBam, ApplyBQSR, and GatherBamFiles by task of workflow. When analyzing large amounts of data, such as electrical dielectric pipeline analysis, it is judged that the measurement delay occurring at runtime can be reduced in the computing system equipped with the memory pool MOCA host adapter developed in this research.

Exercise is necessary for a healthy life, but it is recommended that it be conducted in a non-face-to-face environment in the context of an epidemic such as COVID-19. However, in the existing non-face-to-face exercise content, it is possible to recognize exercise movements, but the process of interpreting and providing feedback information is not automated. Therefore, in this paper, to solve this problem, we propose a method of creating a formalized rule to track the contents of exercise and the motions that constitute it. To make such a rule, first make a rule for the overall exercise content, and then create a tracking rule for the motions that make up the exercise. A motion tracking rule can be created by dividing the motion into steps and defining a key frame pose that divides the steps, and creating a transition rule between states and states represented by the key frame poses. The rules created in this way are premised on the use of posture and motion recognition technology using motion capture equipment, and are used for logical development for automation of application of these technologies. By using the rules proposed in this paper, not only recognizing the motions appearing in the exercise process, but also automating the interpretation of the entire motion process, making it possible to produce more advanced contents such as an artificial intelligence training system. Accordingly, the quality of feedback on the exercise process can be improved.
Along with the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, natural language processing, which deals with human language, is also actively studied. In particular, BERT, a language model recently proposed by Google, has been performing well in many areas of natural language processing by providing pre-trained model using a large number of corpus. Although BERT supports multilingual model, we should use the pre-trained model using large amounts of Korean corpus because there are limitations when we apply the original pre-trained BERT model directly to Korean. Also, text contains not only vocabulary, grammar, but contextual meanings such as the relation between the front and the rear, and situation. In the existing natural language processing field, research has been conducted mainly on vocabulary or grammatical meaning. Accurate identification of contextual information embedded in text plays an important role in understanding context. Knowledge graphs, which are linked using the relationship of words, have the advantage of being able to learn context easily from computer. In this paper, we propose a system to extract Korean contextual information using pre-trained BERT model with Korean language corpus and knowledge graph. We build models that can extract person, relationship, emotion, space, and time information that is important in the text and validate the proposed system through experiments.

Recently, there is a trend of developing various identification and prediction models for hypertension using clinical information based on artificial intelligence and machine learning around the world. However, most previous studies on identification or prediction models of hypertension lack the consideration of the ideas of non-invasive and cost-effective variables, race, region, and countries. Therefore, the objective of this study is to present hypertension prediction model that is easily understood using only general and simple sociodemographic variables. Data used in this study was based on the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2018). In men, the model using the naive Bayes with the wrapper-based feature subset selection method showed the highest predictive performance (ROC = 0.790, kappa = 0.396). In women, the model using the naive Bayes with correlation-based feature subset selection method showed the strongest predictive performance (ROC = 0.850, kappa = 0.495). We found that the predictive performance of hypertension based on only sociodemographic variables was higher in women than in men. We think that our models based on machine leaning may be readily used in the field of public health and epidemiology in the future because of the use of simple sociodemographic characteristics.
