네일샵의 경영형태 비교를 통한 프랜차이즈 선택동기와 경영성과 분석에 대한 연구 (The Study of motives to select and revitalise a franchise by comparing management practices of nail shops)

  • 본 연구는 독립 형태의 네일샵과 프랜차이즈 형태의 네일샵 창업시 영향 요인에 있어서의 차이가 있는지를 규명하고, 네일샵 경영자가 고객의 만족도와 네일샵의 성과가 상대적으로 높은 프랜차이즈 형태의 네일샵을 선택하는 기준이 무엇인지를 알아보고, 네일샵의 프랜차이즈화의 필요성에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 실증분석 결과에 따르면, 네일샵은 독립점과 프랜차이즈 가맹점간에 창업시 또는 창업후 운영에 영향을 미치는 요인에 차이가 있었다. 고객의 만족도나 월평균 매출액으로 평가한 경영성과도 독립점포에 비해 프랜차이즈 가맹점에서 더 높았다. 네일샵 경영자들이 프랜차이즈를 선택하는 기준으로는 동일상권 내에서 경쟁강도, 위치적 접근성, 최신유행 연출능력 보유정도, 원장의 기술력 정도, 샵의 색상이나 로고의 우수성 중요시 정도, 실내분위기 관심 정도, 시술 대비 가격 수준, 종업원에 대한 동기부여 노력 정도가 프랜차이즈를 선택할 가능성에 영향을 주고 있었다. 그리고 프랜차이즈를 지속하게 하는 요인으로는 프랜차이즈 가맹본부에서의 지속적인 관리가 절대적인 요인인 것으로 나타났다.

패션 셀렉트샵 인테리어 디스플레이의 VMD 구성요소에 관한 연구 (A study on the VMD elements of fashion select shop interior displays)

  • This study examines the role of visual merchandising (VMD) in creating effective interior displays for fashion "select shops"(shops that carry a wide selection of brands) amid the recent changes in consumption trends, with consumer needs becoming increasingly individualized and diversified. Fashion select shop interior displays can be categorized as self-service, showcase, counter, and environmental display spaces. Regarding the VMD elements that contribute to effective interior displays, we reached the following conclusions. First, in self-service displays, in order to heighten sales efficacy, display elements should be presented in such a way as to enable customers to select products with ease by themselves. Second, the mere presence of showcase displays was found to be insufficient; if, however, select shops use showcase displays to arrange products according to the flow of customer traffic, enabling the creation of a gentrified atmosphere for products, this may contribute to a differentiated image of brands, heightening perceived product value. Third, in counter displays, having a harmonious arrangement of display and presentation elements promotes sales by inspiring customer confidence. Fourth, regarding environmental displays, it is important for stores to have attractive interior designs and decorations in order to reproduce settings in which products are actually used, as this can inspire interest in products and promote customers' purchasing intention.

1960년대 청주 성안길 가로경관의 재현 (The Representation of Seong-An Streetscape in the 1960s' Cheongju)

  • This study is aimed to represent the streetscape in 1960s' focused on Seong-An street of Cheong-ju through the existing business types and buildings, literature, photo details, and interview of the longest-term householders. Results of this study are as follows : Firstly, the types of 1st-floor shops were diverse with general merchandise, apparel, medical, bank, restaurant, and etc in 1960s'. The present shops of them are 'Dong-kwang lasa', 'Jung-geum dang', 'Cheong-ju pharmacy' including the existing 'the Korea development', 'Korea first', and 'Woori' bank. Secondly, the streetscape around post office looks just as it did in the old 1960s'. In the other section the present typical buildings are 'Namseon pharmacy ', 'Kukje department', 'Samyang shop', 'Daeyang shop', 'Park shop', and etc. These old 3-4story buildings are reinforced concrete in contrasted with the former wooden and masonry in structure, and converted in use and appearance. Thirdly, the streetscape of Seong-An is ultimately represented by presuming the other buildings and equipments through aerial and street photograph in the old 1960s'.

Urinary Mercury Levels Among Workers in E-waste Shops in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand

  • Objectives: To determine urinary mercury levels in e-waste workers in Southern Thailand and the airborne mercury levels in the e-waste shops where they worked, to describe the associations between urinary and airborne mercury levels, and to evaluate the prevalence of mercury exposure-related health effects among e-waste workers. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted by interviewing 79 workers in 25 e-waste shops who lived in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand. Information on general and occupational characteristics, personal protective equipment use, and personal hygiene was collected by questionnaire. Urine samples were collected to determine mercury levels using a cold-vapor atomic absorption spectrometer mercury analyzer. Results: The e-waste workers' urinary mercury levels were $11.60{\mu}5.23{\mu}g/g$ creatinine (range, 2.00 to $26.00{\mu}g/g$ creatinine) and the mean airborne mercury levels were $17.00{\mu}0.50{\mu}g/m^3$ (range, 3.00 to $29.00{\mu}g/m^3$). The urinary and airborne mercury levels were significantly correlated (r=0.552, p<0.001). The prevalence of self-reported symptoms was 46.8% for insomnia, 36.7% for muscle atrophy, 24.1% for weakness, and 20.3% for headaches. Conclusions: Personal hygiene was found to be an important protective factor, and should therefore be stressed in educational programs. Employers should implement engineering measures to reduce urinary mercury levels and the prevalence of associated health symptoms among e-waste workers.

조선에서의 조립공정계획과 일정계획의 지능형 통합시스템 개발 (Development of Integrated Assembly Process Planning and Scheduling System in Shipbuilding)

  • The block assembly process takes more than half of the total shipbuilding processes. Therefore, it is very important to have a practically useful block assembly process planning system which can build plans of maximum efficiency with minimum man-hours required. However, the process plans are often not readily executable in the assembly shops due to severe imbalance of workloads. This problem arises because the process planning is done on block by block basis in current practice without paying any attention to the load distribution among the assembly shops. this paper presents the development of an automated hull block assembly process planning system which results in the most effective use of production resources and also produces plans that enable efficient time management. If the load balance of assembly shops is to be considered at the time of process planning, the task becomes complicated because of the increased computational complexity. To solve this problem, a new approach is adopted in this research in which the load balancing function and process planning function are iterated alternately providing to each other contexts for subsequent improvement. The result of case study with the data supplied from the shipyard shows that the system developed in this research is very effective and useful.

서울지역 대학생의 커피전문점 이용 실태에 관한 연구 (A Study on University Students' Coffee Shop Use in the Seoul Area)

  • 서울 지역 대학생 250명을 대상으로 2008년 10월 6일부터 10월 10일까지 커피전문점의 이용 실태를 연구하였으며, 자료 분석을 위해서는 SPSS프로그램을 이용하여 통계처리 하였다. 조사 대상자들의 커피전문점에 대한 중요도와 수행도를 5점 척도 방법으로 조사한 결과, 중요도는 4.03점, 수행도는 3.01점으로 나타났다. 커피전문점에 대한 중요도와 수행도를 격자도로 보여주는 IPA 분석을 살펴 본 결과, 중요하지만 불만이 있는 항목으로는 실내 위생 상태, 종업원의 개인 위생 정도, 커피 기구 등의 위생 관리 상태, 얼음의 위생 상태, 사용되는 물의 위생 관리 상태, 제품의 냉장 보관 상태, 커피 가격이 해당되었다.

국내 플라워샵에서의 절화보존제 인식과 이용 현황 (Current Status and Recognition of Floral Preservatives in Korean Flower Shops)

  • 본 연구는 국내 플라워샵에서의 절화보존제 사용현황 및 인식을 알아보고자 국내 성인남녀 120명의 플로리스트들을 상대로 설문조사를 진행하였다. 국내 플라워샵에서 일하는 플로리스트들 중 19.8%만이 절화보존제를 사용하는 것으로 나타난 반면, 전혀 사용하지 않은 플라워샵은 45.5%로, 국내 플라워샵에서의 절화보존제 이용이 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 국내 플로리스트들의 절화보존제 주 사용 시기와 목적은 '화훼 상품 보관 시(39.6%)'에 '균 번식 억제를 위해(36.7%)' 가장 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났으며 절화보존제를 사용하지 않는 이유에 대해서는 필요성을 느끼지 못한다는 응답(51.4%)이 가장 높게 나타나, 절화보존제에 대한 인식이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 절화보존제 사용 경험이 있는 플로리스트들에게서는 절화보존제의 이용 만족도가 높게 나타났으며, 50.5%의 절화보존제 이용 경험자는 재구매 의사가 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 일반적으로 국내 플로리스트들의 경우 절화 보존제에 대한 관심이 적지는 않으나(Mean=3.22), 절화보존제의 적은 이용 빈도와 낮은 인지도는 국내 절화보존제 시장이 작고 홍보가 부족하여 나타난 것으로 판단된다. 절화보존제 사용 후 플로리스트들의 높은 만족도와 재구매의사를 보았을 때, 절화보존제에 대한 홍보와 교육을 통하여 국내 플라워샵에서의 절화수명제의 접근성을 높이고 절화 품질 관리에 대한 인식을 고양시킬 수 있을 것이며, 이를 통해 소비자들에게도 고품질의 관상기간이 긴 절화 상품 제공을 통하여 국내 절화산업의 발전을 가져올 수 있을 것이다.

  • This study explores the retail environment factors of the changes mentioned in the "Factors and Directions of the Change of the Apparel Retail Structure in Korea" (Part I) to understand the changes in apparel retail institutions. This study was done through a literature research method and the results are as follows. First, changing consumer needs and trends require extensive new products, a method to manufacture diverse products according to the market demand, and the necessity to manufacture based on trends in demand. This limits the role of mass production, which brought about more flexible manufacturing modes, scaled down manufacturing factories, promoted more cooperative subcontract relationships, and increased global sourcing which uses other companies at the most appropriate global venue. How to organize and use cooperative networks that benefit companies is the key to global competitiveness in the new era and the information technology developed around retail shops plays a key role. Consequently, the management of consumers and their information becomes critical and retail distribution functions become a key corporate function. In addition, it is difficult for small shops to introduce effective new technologies that encourage the growth of large companies. Second, apparel companies that use to benefit from scale merits based on the previous mass production system are now becoming effective by using economies of scale through mass retailing while shops are enlarging their sizes as a way to survive. On the other hand, inexpensive clothes become even more inexpensive while expensive ones become even more expensive, promoting polarization and diverse price ranges that widen consumer options.

한국 면세점 산업의 구조, 독과점인가? (Is the Korean Duty Free Shop Industry Monopolistic?)

  • Purpose - This study's purpose is to investigate the market structure of the Korean duty free shop industry that has received recent attention from researchers and practitioners. By raising the question of whether or not the Korean duty free shop industry is unequivocally monopolistic, a wider viewpoint is provided. The study seeks to offer insights and managerial implications for marketers and policy makers who are in charge of regulating major Korean duty free shops. Research design, data, and methodology - The authors use secondary data from various sources, including Korea Customs Service and the Moodie Report, to investigate the structure of the duty free shop industry of Korea. Based on several theories, they present various criteria and statistical evidence such as K-firm concentration ratio, HHI, consumer substitutability, excess profit, and marketing costs. Results - In terms of consumer substitutability, it is difficult to confirm whether or not the Korean duty free shop industry is monopolistic. Notwithstanding monopoly characteristics in terms of market share, neither the company Lotte nor Shilla appear to have market dominating power. It is not easy for either of them to control prices or to achieve a much lower operational profit ratio due to a dominant bargaining power. Moreover, the license is not an economic rent. In this situation, it is not easy for these companies to obtain an excessive profit. Conclusions - Considering that most global duty free shops are trying to go upscale to improve bargaining power, it does not seem likely that rigid regulations are needed in the industry. Even though the Korean duty free industry ostensibly has a monopolistic structure, government and policy-makers should look beyond the surface. They should take global and other reasonable criteria into consideration when they establish or change regulation policies. Thorough understanding and appropriate support are needed for the Korean duty free shop industry. Additionally, duty free shops should position themselves as global companies struggling against unlimited international competition, rather than Korean domestic companies. At the same time, they need to give customers appropriate information about the benefits they provide.

프랜차이즈와 체인 커피전문점의 이용경험에 따른 고객만족이 몰입, 충성도, 반복적 이용에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Customer Satisfaction Based on User Experience on Commitment, Loyalty and Repeated Use in Franchise and Chain Coffee Shops)

  • 본 연구는 커피전문점 이용고객의 실질적인 장기적 몰입 상태인 반복적 이용의 형성 과정을 실증적으로 분석하기 위하여 수행되었다. 이를 위한 커피전문점에 대한 이용경험, 고객만족, 고객몰입, 반복적 이용 간의 인과관계를 분석하였으며, 연구표본은 수도권의 커피전문점을 주2회 이상 이용하는 고객들을 대상으로 하였으며, 표본 457부를 PASW 18.0과 AMOS 18.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석 방법에 있어서는 신뢰성 및 타당성 검증, 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석, 빈도분석, 구조방정식 모형검증, 매개효과분석을 실시하였다. 가설검증 결과 첫째, 커피전문점에 대한 이용경험 중 이용환경, 가격공정성, 커피상품품질이 고객만족에 유의한 정의 영향이 있었으며, 둘째, 고객만족은 고객몰입과 반복적 이용에 각각 유의한 정의 영향이 있었다. 셋째, 고객만족과 반복적 이용 간에도 고객몰입의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 가설검증결과를 바탕으로 커피전문점 이용고객들의 반복적 이용을 형성시키기 위한 관리적 시사점으로 커피전문점에 대한 이용경험의 제고전략과 고객몰입제고 전략을 제시하였다.
