제7차 초등학교 과학과 교사용 지도서의 활용 실태 분석 (An Analysis on the Utilization of Teacher s Guides for Science in Elementary School)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine to what extent the teacher's guides for science based on the 7th national curricula were utilized and what problems there were, in an effort to propose in which way they should be prepared and arranged to be of substantial use to teachers. For that purpose, the contents of the 7th teacher's guides for science were analyzed. Surveys and interviews were carried out to find out how many teachers used each of the areas included in them and what their needs were. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS WIN 9.0. The findings of this study were as follows: Many teachers utilize the teacher's guides in science more frequently than in other subjects, and they found them much more helpful to preparing for instructions. But many of them didn't utilize the standards of evaluation on science that were suggested in the teacher’s guides, and this is why the guides seem just to give theoretical explanation about how to assess, which was neither practical nor substantial. It's required to provide more concrete and detailed examples for each of the units. They felt a higher need for alternative experiments and substitute materials, especially in biology unit because of the different conditions of each school or each local community. In short, teacher's guides should include more diverse and ample materials in response to the teacher's needs, moreover teachers should reconstruct the teaching materials and then teach more creatively.

잇솔질과 열처리가 세로머의 색안정성에 미치는 영향 (COLOR STABILITY OF CEROMERS AFTER THERMOCYCLING AND BRUSHING)

  • Ceromers, new indirect resin system, are now being adopted for esthetic restorations. Despite of its translucency and good color matching, color stability after long-term use was unknown till now. This in vitro study was designed to evaluate color stability of some ceromers when subjected to brushing after thermocycling. Three types of ceromers: Scupture, Targis, Artglass and a direct resin system, Z100 were prepared to disks 12 mm in diameter, 2.5 mm in thickness. All specimens were polished, and Sculpture and Targis specimens were divided two groups, respectively. Then, half of them were glazed according to manufacturer's instructions. All specimen were brushed 20,000 times after 10,000 cycle thermocycling. Color was measured with spectrophotometer after 1,000, 3,000, 10,000 times thermocycling and 20,000 time brushing, respectively. Color difference (${\Delta}E$) was calculated according to CIE LAB system. During thermocycling, Sculpture & Targis system with polished surface showed greater color change than any other groups. After brushing, color difference was reduced significantly. Mean values of ${\Delta}E$ ranged 0.98 to 2.98. All Ceromers were considered clinically acceptable after thermocycling and brushing, and color change mechanism was affected by the brands and finishing methods. It might be concluded that color change of ceromer is due to surface alteration.

  • 본 논문은 어린 학생들을 위한 새로운 프로그래밍 학습시스템을 소개한다. 프로그래밍 학습시스템은 LED 디스플레이키트와 웹플로우챠트로 구성되어진다. LED디스플레이키트는 플로우챠트 프로그래밍에서 작성된 알고리즘의 명령들을 실행할 때 만들어지는 다양한 모양을 표시하는 출력장치로 사용되어진다. 웹플로우챠트 시스템에서는 수식 계산을 위해 심볼 변수를 사용하며 학습자가 드래그 앤 드롭 방식으로 플로우챠트를 작성하여 다양한 모양과 애니메이션을 출력할 수 있도록 해준다. 본 학습시스템을 활용하여 2005년 2학기부터 2009년 1학기 동안 다양한 학습자 그룹에 대해 프로그래밍 수업을 적용하였으며 수업한 내용과 분석한 결과를 제시한다. 프로그래밍 수업 대상자는 초등학생, 영재교육원 학생, 대학생 및 교사이다. 수업에서 실시한 설문조사에서 학습자의 반응은 매우 긍정적이었다.

현대 공공도서관의 회로경험에 따른 유형분류 및 특성 (The Characteristics and the Type Classification of Contemporary Public Libraries in terms of browsing circuit)

  • This study aims to find out the characteristics and the type classification of contemporary public libraries in terms of browsing circuit. In so doing, it is to analyze 21 recently built libraries by using the browsing circuit, the spatial depth and the spatial layout. The study makes use of codes derived from the concept of 'Classification' and 'Frame' suggested by a pedagogist, Basil Bernstein. As a result, it shows that two codes are phased in overseas cases. In other words, one type is a lower depth of space and a high rate of rings with the multi-layer circuits and the three-dimensional circuit of multi-centered. the other type is the higher depth of space and a low rate of rings with the single-layer circuit and the multi-layer circuit of single-centered. In domestic cases, 4 types are shown. The characteristics of layout are seen as a radial shape and the rate of rings is lower than the overseas cases. It can be said that these results are a transitional phenomenon. For browsing circuit, domestic public libraries would be adapted to the three-dimensional circuit of multi-centered, a lower depth of space and a high rate of rings. By instructions of this plan, the real meaning of a public library will be come true.

간호학생의 첫 임상실습 경험에 대한 연구 (An Initial clinical Experience of Nursing Students)

  • This study was conducted to identify an initial clinical experience of nursing students, so to better understanding to students' experience in clinical setting. The study subjects were 39 nursing students working in C department of nursing in C city. This study was approached by phenomenological method, collected data were analyzed by Colaizzi's method. The results were followed. From the protocol, 236 significant statements were organized into 56 formulated meanings. From formulated meanig, 27 themes were identified, organized into 13 theme clusters, and then into 6 categories. Theose nursing students experienced $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$tension$\mathbb{\lrcorner}$ in adjusting themselves to new clinical settings, $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$fear and anxiety$\mathbb{\lrcorner}$ in using unskillful nursing skills. They also went through $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$stress> by difficulties in applying their knowledge and skill to nursing practice, in lack of nursing knowledge and skill, in dealing with making interpersonal relationship with clinical staffs, in insufficiency of clinical instructions and in role ambiguity among nursing students. Physical $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$fatigue$\mathbb{\lrcorner}$ and $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$disappointment and doubt$\mathbb{\lrcorner}$ by the difference between reality and expectation caused by clinical experience. However, clinical experience enabled nursing students to enhance their understanding of human beings, learning, their satisfaction. to nursing practice, to identify the confirmation of nursing identity, so to gain $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$sense of accomplishment$\mathbb{\lrcorner}$. The results of this study are to use as basic data for students attending clinical experience for the first time.

KSL 학습자의 학업 문식성 신장을 위한 교과 언어 교육 내용 연구 -역사 교과 텍스트를 중심으로- (A Study on the Language of Content Area for Improving Academic Literacy of KSL Learners: Focusing on History Texts)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the linguistic elements that can promote academic literacy in terms of content-based instructions for KSL learners. In order to study the characteristics of learning languages for subjects, focus was given to the framework of systematic functional linguistics that has been extensively used in ELL teaching and learning research in the United States and Australia. History, which is taught in all classes and classified as a required course, was the subject of analysis. From the history curriculum, the elementary school level texts "Social Studies 5-2" and "Social Studies 6-1" were chosen for the analysis. Based on the results, we can come to the following conclusions. First, history textbooks are divided into narrative and analytical explanatory sub-genres based on their content, and there are differences in the factors that need to be focused on to find the main information. Second, the vocabulary of history textbooks should focus on the use of verbs which comprehend material processes. Particularly, learners should pay attention to the differences in meaning between low-frequency expressions. We hope that the results of this study will have a positive effect on history subject learning for learners in the "Adaptive Korean Course" and will help establish direction in terms of building curriculum contents for KSL learners.

무인항공기를 활용한 정사영상제작에서 지상기준점 위치간격과 비행촬영기법에 따른 정사영상정확도 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Orthophoto Accuracy According to the Flight Photographing Technique and GCP Location Distance in Orthophoto Generation Using UAV)

  • It is conservative to say that lots of research is performed as measures to use UAV for application to the rapid spatial information and its application is faced with settlement stage to some extent. In addition, Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation autonomously produces work regulation which is applied to every kind of orders and National Geographic Information Institute (2018) has notified public surveying work instructions about unmanned aerial device for the rapid spatial information construction. The results acquired by UAV are comprised of contents about accuracy improvements for the orthophoto when reviewing pertinent regulations. As a result, it is known that error amount has been sharply increased from 400m separation distance, and this study proposes that cross flight is able to reduce irregular error occurrence as measures to acquire stable results.

Silver Diamine Fluoride Compound for Dental Caries and Its Characterisation Using Microscopic Computed Tomography and Nanoindentation

  • Background: In our study, a silver diamine fluoride (SDF) compound for the treatment of dental caries was synthesized to characterize its remineralization activity upon direct application to deciduous teeth. This study aimed to use microscopic computed tomography (microCT) and nanoindentation to evaluate whether SDF composite application could effectively arrest dental caries in five exfoliated primary molars. Methods: Carious teeth were extracted and visually examined using quantitative photofluorescence devices (Qraycam and QraypenTM). After performing microCT, the SDF composite was applied to the teeth according to the manufacturer's instructions. The researchers exchanged and precipitated the irritant saliva once daily for 1 week. The teeth were sectioned longitudinally through the centers of the mesial and distal surfaces, embedded, polished, and measured using nanoindentation. Thereafter, microCT was repeated. Statistical analyses were performed using GraphPad Prism software. Results: Following SDF composite application, a remineralized layer was observed on microCT images, and the hardness increased when measured using nanoindentation. We found that demineralized enamel presented with an increased number of irregular crystals in the deep carious lesion group compared with those in the shallow carious lesion group, resulting in a rougher surface. Conclusion: The SDF composite may be used for remineralization of early caries and cessation of advanced caries in primary molars.

Intervening in Mathematics Group Work in the Middle Grades

  • Over the last three decades, there has been an increasingly strong emphasis on group-centered approaches to mathematics teaching. One primary responsibility for teachers who use group-centered instruction is to "check in", or intervene, with groups to monitor group learning and provide mathematical support when necessary. While prior research has contributed valuable insight for successful teacher interventions in mathematics group work, there is a need for more fine-grained analyses of interactions between teachers and students. In this study, we co-conducted research with an exemplary middle grade teacher (Ms. Green) to learn about fine-grained details of her intervention practices, hoping to generate knowledge about successful teacher interventions that can be expanded, replicated, and/or contradicted in other contexts. Analyzing Ms. Green's practices as an exemplary case, we found that she used exceptionally short interventions (35 seconds on average), provided space for student dialogue, and applied four distinct strategies to support groups to make mathematical progress: (1) observing/listening before speaking; (2) using a combination of social and analytic scaffolds; (3) redirecting students to task instructions; (4) abruptly walking away. These findings imply that successful interventions may be characterized by brevity, shared dialogue between the teacher and students, and distinct (and sometimes unnatural) teaching moves.

Public Identity, Paratext, and the Aesthetics of Intransparency: Charlotte Smith's Beachy Head

  • For Romantic women writers the paratext itself is essentially a masculine literary space affiliated with established writing practices; however, this paper suggests that Charlotte Turner Smith's mode of discourse in her use of notes and their relation to the text proper are never fixed in her contemplative blank-verse long poem, Beachy Head (1807). Even though the display of learning in the paratext partly supports the woman writer's claim to authority, this paper argues that Smith's endnotes also indicate her way of challenging the double bind for women writers, summoning masculine authority on the margins of her book while simultaneously interrogating essentialist thinking and instructions about one's identity in a culture and on the printed page. The poem shows how the fringes of the book can be effectively transformed from a masculine site of authority to an increasingly feminized site of interchange as Smith writes with an awareness of patriarchal, imperial abuses of power in that area of the book. There is a persistent transgression of cultural/textual boundaries occurring in Beachy Head, which explores the very scene and languages of imperial encounter. Accordingly, if Wordsworth's theory of composition suggests a subjective and abstract poetic experience-an experience without mediation-in which its medium's purpose seems to be to disappear from the reader's consciousness, an examination of the alternative discourse of self-exposure in Smith's poem reveals the essentially fluid nature of media-consciousness in the Romantic era, which remains little acknowledged in received accounts of Romantic literary culture.
