  • SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language) allows multimedia objects into a synchronized multimedia presentation. In this paper, I propose modeling rules, formal models, modeling function and an algorithm for SMIL documents using use case diagram and sequence diagram of UML(Unified Modeling Language)to Develop for SMIL Documents Editor. It will be used the use case diagram and collaboration diagram for object-oriented visualizing tool to describe the temporal behavior of the presentation. The main contribution of this paper is that developers of SMIL documents editor easily generate them using this rules and algorithm. And, the formal models and modeling functions provide an environment for processing object-oriented. documents.

  • Use case modeling is a widely used technique for functional requirements analysis of business system but it is difficult to identify a use cases at the right level and use case specifications are too long and confusing. It is also hard to determine a functional decomposition Phases·s of use cases. Therefore customer doesn't understand the use cases. This paper is defining concept of the Information Structure Modeling(ISM) and analyzing business system for the customer's perspective. ISM is an efficient mechanism for analyzing user requirements and for Identifying objects in a business system using Attribute Structure Diagram which is a major tool of the ISM that describes user event. This paper is also to show how the classes are classified and derived as event-asset-transaction type in ISM. It provides a user-friendly approach to visually representing business model.

  • In the development of complex software system, it is important to use hierarchical use case model due to the complex scope of development procedure. The use case model is core factor of the OMG (Object Management Group)'s UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams. In this paper, we propose a novel method to check syntactic consistency automatically in use case models at the different level of abstraction. This method is a rule-based approach which utilizes actor tree, use case tree and use case description. The proposed method is simulated on ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) architecture for the verification.

  • Recently, OOM(Object-Oriented Method) access method which begins to apply to software development is emphasizing development cost and time reduction through independent software reuse. But because of planning to the exclusion of the lack of knowledge and expansion or performance for development technology many problems are coming out. Therefore, this thesis suggests Effective Object-Oriented Modeling methods considering the plan for higher productivity enhancement of software in the software development life cycle. Effective Object-Oriented Modeling method includes, methods, Use Case modeling methods, Analysis Modeling methods, Design Modeling methods and others. This thesis suggests Framework model method read in characteristics as follows. First, suggestion about effective object-oriented standard model development, Second, retrenchment of software development or maintenance cost, Third, solution about uncertain problems of projects in line with the application of new technology.

  • This paper presents an implementing of Use Case Description writing tool to support systematically writing and editing Use Case Description. It also supports both 1 column and 2 column formats of use case scenarios and increases convenience for editing scenario steps with automated step numbering function we presented. It results in not only user-friendly and effective description for use case but also contributing to development of integrated use case modeling tool with use case diagram.

  • This paper proposes an effective method to create logically consistent and structured requirement model by applying consistency control approach of the formal method to the use-case modeling. This method integrates the multi-perspective scattered requirement segments that may overlap and conflict each other into a structured requirement model. The model structure can be analyzed based on context goal and concerned area overlap analysis. The model consistency can be achieved by using specification overlap-based consistency checking method as an integration vehicle. An experimental application to case study shows that the Proposed method can successfully identify requirement overlaps and inconsistency. It can also transfer multi-viewpoint requirement segments into a consistently integrated use-case model to clarify software behaviors and functionality This method helps users to enhance capability to identify specification inconsistency in the use-case modeling at the early stage of software engineering development. The proposed approach can also facilitate communication between users and developers to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • The impact of the detailed surface data on regional meteorological fields in complex coastal area is studied using RAMS. Resolutions of topography and land use data are very important to numerical modeling, because high resolution data can reflect correct terrain height and detail characteristics of the surface. Especially, in complex coastal region such as Gwangyang area, southern area in Korean Peninsula, high resolution topography and land use data are indispensable for accurate modeling results. This study investigated the effect of resolutions of terrain data using SRTM with 3 second resolution topography and KLU with 1 second resolution land use data. Case HR was the experiment using high resolution data, whereas Case LR used low resolution data. In Case HR, computed surface temperature was higher than Case LR along the coastline and wind speed was $1{\sim}2m/s$ weaker than Case LR. Time series of temperature and wind speed indicated great agreement with the observation data. Moreover, Case HR indicated outstanding results on statistical analysis such as regression, root mean square error, index of agreement.

  • Most of enterprises depend on a data modeler during developing their management information systems. In formulating business requirements for information systems, they widely and naturally use the interview method between a data modeler and a field worker. But, the discrepancy between both parties would certainly cause information loss and distortion that lead to let the systems not faithful to real business works. To improve or avoid modeler-dependant data modeling process, many automated data design CASE tools have been introduced. However, since most of traditional CASE tools just support drawing works for conceptual data design, a data modeler could not generate an ERD faithful to real business works and a user could not use them without any knowledge on database. Although some CASE tools supported conceptual data design, they still required too much preliminary database knowledge for a user. Against these traditional CASE tools, we proposed a Requirement-Oriented Entity Relationship Model for automated data design tool, called ROERM. Based on Non-Stop Methodology, ROERM adopts inner systematic modules for complete and sound ERD that is faithful to real field works, where modules are composed of interaction modules with a user, rules of schema operations and sentence translations. In addition to structure design of ROERM, we also devise detailed algorithms and perform an experiment for a case study.
