Objectives: The current use of humidifier detergent and its harmful impact on humans has arisen as a societal environmental health issue. Therefore, in this study we aimed to explore the relationship between demo-socio characteristics and humidifier use, as well as the monthly usage changes in pregnant women; thus, we report the actual status of humidifier usage of Korea's pregnant population. Methods: From a birth cohort of a Mothers and Children's Environmental Health (MOCEH) study, 1,144 pregnant women who responded through questionnaires including demo-socio characteristics, obstetric status and household environment including whether they use humidifier and frequency of use were included in this study. Statistical analyses were performed to explore the relationship between maternal characteristics and the relevance of the use of humidifiers was performed using a chi-square test, a t-test and univariate logistic regression analysis. The monthly usage rate was demonstrated in the graph. Results: The humidifier usage rate in pregnant women was 28.2%. The average frequency of humidifier usage was 4.6 days per week, 7.3 hours per day. The usage rate was higher in the multipara group and the above the age of 34 age group than in the primipara and below the age of 34 groups. Seoul showed a higher usage rate than Cheonan and Ulsan and as the education level and income increased, the usage rate of humidifiers among pregnant women also increased. In the monthly trend of usage rate, the winter season showed the highest usage rate of over 45% and the lowest in late summer and beginning of fall with a value of 12% or less. Conclusions: During pregnancy, the mother's body is especially vulnerable to hazardous environmental exposure that not only affects the pregnant woman but also the fetus. Further research is still needed to elucidate the route and effect of environmental risk factors. Therefore, based on precautionary and preventive principles, special interest and caution in harmful environments are strongly needed not only at an individual level but also at a national level.

We, in this study, tried to examine the influence of business environment, organization structure and information technology characteristics used on the performance of the information systems in Information and Communications Industries. The result shows that frequency of system usage and users' satisfaction are positively affected by the factors of business environment, organizational structure and information-technology. The user satisfaction of the system is affected by the frequency of system usage. Both financial performance and non-financial performance are affected by the frequency of the systems usage and user satisfaction of the system. With path analysis, we verified the overall model goodness-of-fit verified for the research model. The result shows that organization structureand technological factors are positively related to the frequency of usage and user satisfaction of the system, while the environmental factors are not. The frequency of system usage is not linked to both financial and non-financial performance. The user satisfaction of the system does not affected to the financial performance. In conclusion, the usage frequency and user satisfaction of the system are the moderating variables affecting business performances. These two variables are affected by the environment, organization structure and information technology. The Path analysis also supports the relationships among these variables.

Performance evaluations of database algorithms are usually conducted on a set of queries for a given test database. For more detailed evaluation results, it is often necessary to use different query workloads several times. Each query workload should reflect the querying patterns of the application domain in real world, which are non-uniform in the usage frequencies of attributes in queries of the workload for a given database. It is not trivial to generate many different query workloads manually, while considering non-uniform distributions of attributes'usage frequencies. In this paper we propose a technique to generate non-uniform distributions, which will help construct query workloads more efficiently. The proposed algorithm generates a query-attribute usage distribution based on given constraints on usage frequencies of attributes and qreries. The algorithm first allocates as many attributes to queries as Possible. Then it corrects the distribution by considering attributes and queries which are not within the given frequency constraints. We have implemented and tested the performance of the proposed algorithm, and found that the algorithm works well for various input constraints. The result of this work could be extended to help automatically generate SQL queries for various database performance benchmarking.

While there have been lots of researches on the use of cyber money in online business area, few studies suggested the results on relationship between individual characteristics, including demographic and cyber money usage characteristics, and quality factors of cyber money. Therefore, this study investigates which quality factors of cyber money are perceived to be important, and examines whether the perception of cyber money quality will vary by individual characteristics such as gender, age, cyber money usage frequency, and cyber money usage volume. The results show, based on the statistical analyses using survey questionnaire for cyber money users living in the Seoul metropolitan area, that there are differences in perception of required quality factors of cyber money among the respondents grouped by gender, age, and usage frequency of cyber money. This study could propose a variety of implications for future researches on the use of cyber money in online business areas of home and abroad.
This study investigated the effects of smart phone usage motives and fashion brand app factors upon the intention to accept fashion brand applications. Data were collected from 250 female college students living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. 220 reliable data were analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, ANOVA,, Duncan test, paired t-test, chi-square analysis, regression. The results were as follows: Firstly, the 'information acquisition' and the'use of time' were considered to be the most important motive factors driving consumer's smart phone usage. Secondly, the motives underpinning smart phone user's intention to accept a fashion brand application were 'social relationships', 'entertainment', and 'information acquisition'. Thirdly, the frequently used factors during the usage of fashion brand application could be classified in order of frequency as follows: 'product information provision', 'store information provision', 'coordinated information provision', 'fashion information provision', 'entertainment provision', 'hobbies and life information provision', virtual wearing provision', 'SNS provision', and, 'events and coupons provision'. Fourthly, a factor analysis of these nine factors were classified into 'basic information type', and 'additional information type'. The influences of basic information type and the additional information type upon the intention to accept the fashion brand application showed the following significant result: The basic information type had a greater influence upon the intention to accept the fashion brand app.
This study examined the dietitians 'perception and usage of processed meat products in institute foodservices. Out of 368 questionnaires collected from the subjects in school and business foodservices, 341 were chosen for statistical analysis after 27 were excluded for improper responses. According to the results, dietitian perceived the processed meat products food positively in terms of 'convenience'(3.94) and 'taste'(3.30), but negatively in terms of 'package'(275) and'additive'(2.01). In the frequency of usage, they used 'Ham'(2.51) the most frequently, followed in order by 'Wanja'(2.17), 'Dongas'(1.99), 'Tangsuyook'(1.82), 'Hamburg Steak'(1.71), 'Dduckgalbi'(1.59), 'Bacon'(1.50), 'Luncheon meat'(1.39), and 'Smoked meat'(1.30). The perception of processed meat products was more different according to institutes than dietitian. For dietitian, the frequency of usage was different according to their age and career, while for institute, it differed according to the type of management and the cycle of menu. Also dietitian placed the most importance on 'taste and preference'($90.1\%$) in buying and 'balance of nutrition'($72.0\%$) in cooking processed meat products (Ed- there is no respective comparison here). Finally, in the correlation analysis between perception and usage of processed meat products, the taste had positive correlation with 'Hamburg steak', 'Tangsuyook', and 'Dongas', the additive had positive correlation with 'Tangsuyook', and convenience had negative correlation with 'Tangsuyook' Based on the results of this study, the Processed meat products should be researched, developed, and supplied, with consideration for institution foodseuices.
Objectives: This study was conducted to suggest the necessity of education about toothpaste usage to infants, preschoolers, and their parents. Also, another purpose is to provide basic data that is necessary for oral health education about accurate cognition and usage of toothpaste. Methods: From October to December 2015, we conducted a survey on parents of 0~4 years old infants and preschoolers about toothpaste usage based on the data of a questionnaire with a total of 505 subjects. The survey questions were composed of general characteristics of infants, preschoolers and their parents, and toothpaste usage. Results: Usage frequency of toothpaste for infants and preschoolers increased with age (p<0.001), and infants and preschoolers in homes with monthly income under 4 million won showed high frequency of toothpaste usage (p<0.001). Toothpaste mouth rinsing of infants and preschoolers increased with age (p<0.001), while on the other hand, toothpaste swallowing decreased (p<0.001). Conclusions: In this study, it was shown that the factors that effect toothpaste usage in infants and preschoolers were age and average monthly income of the family. This suggests the necessity of oral health education to parents about usage of toothpaste in infants and preschoolers.

A method is proposed to reduce excess resources from a virtual machine(VM) while avoiding subsequent migrations for a computer cluster that provides cloud service. The proposed scheme cuts down on the resources of a VM based on the probability that migration may occur after a reduction. First, it finds a VM that can be scaled down by analyzing the history of the resource usage. Then, the migration probability is calculated as a function of the VM resource usage trend and the trend error. Finally, the amount of resources needed to eliminate from an underutilized VM is determined such that the migration probability after the resource reduction is less than or equal to an acceptable migration probability. The acceptable migration probability, to be set by the cloud service provider, is a criterion to assign a weight to the resource reduction either to prevent VM migrations or to enhance VM utilization. The results of simulation show that the proposed scheme lowers migration frequency by 31.6~60.8% depending on the consistency of resource demand while losing VM utilization by 9.1~21.5% compared to other known approaches, such as the static and the prediction-based methods. It is also verified that the proposed scheme extends the elapsed time before the first occurrence of migration after resource reduction 1.1~2.3-fold. In addition, changes in migration frequency and VM utilization are analyzed with varying acceptable migration probabilities and the consistency of resource demand patterns. It is expected that the analysis results can help service providers choose a right value of the acceptable migration probability under various environments having different migration costs and operational costs.
Objectives: To analyze the prescription frequency of various herbs as either individual or major herbs (in terms of dosage) and their usage patterns in the treatment of different diseases for standardization of traditional Korean medicine. Methods: We analyzed the prescription database of patients at the Pusan National University Korean Medicine Hospital from the date of establishment of the hospital to February 2013. The complete prescription data were extracted from the electronic medical records of patients, and the prescription frequencies of individual herbs, particularly, of major herbs, were analyzed in terms of gender, age, and international classification of diseases (ICD) code. Results: The prescription frequency of individual herbs based on age and gender showed a similar pattern. Herbal mixtures were also distributed in a similar manner. The use of some herbs differed according to age and gender (Table 1.). The herbs that were used at high frequencies for a given ICD code had similar usage patterns in different categories. However, some major herbs in the "Jun (King)" category were used uniquely for a given ICD code (Table 2.). There was significant difference between male and female on ICD code E and N, but the other ICD codes had small differences. The ratio of herbal medicine by gender showed different usage patterns in each gender. Conclusions: The findings of our study provide fundamental data that reflect the real clinical conditions in South Korea, and therefore, can contribute to the standardization of TKM.
