  • Purpose Many students have concerned about the quality and operation of online courses with universities offering online courses to avoid the spread of COVID-19. To deepen our understanding of university online class systems, this research aims to assess students' satisfaction with online class systems and continuous usage intention on the basis of the perceived benefits and expectation confirmation theory. Design/methodology/approach This paper empirically analyzes the impact of each perceived benefit on user satisfaction and the intention to use it continuously by dividing the perceived benefits considered in existing literature into utilitarian benefits (convenience), emotional benefits (pleasure), and symbolic benefits (personal benefits). Moreover, the perceived expectations and performance have also been assessed with its impact on satisfaction and the intention to continue use. Data collected from 241 university students were empirically tested against a research model. Findings Analysis results showed that perceived advantages (comfort, enjoyment and personalized benefit) significantly affect user satisfaction and that perceived benefits have positive effects on the intention to continue use whereas the expected confirmation do not significantly influence on the intention to continue use.

  • This study is to analyze the characteristics of golf course water usage using groundwater and rainwater data obtained from 17 golf courses in Jeju Island during 2007~2009. The groundwater usages were 246,275 $m^3/year$, 213,062 $m^3/year$, 155,235 $m^3/year$, and 126,666 $m^3/year$ in the west, south, east, and north regions, respectively. Monthly rate of the amount of groundwater usage to the amount of permission was 29.5%. The rainfall usages were 386,591 $m^3/year$, 326,464 $m^3/year$, 251,248 $m^3/year$, and 232,061 $m^3/year$ in the south, west, east, and north regions, respectively. Monthly rate of rainwater usage to the amount of water retention of golf courses was 19.6%. The average annual water usage in the 17 golf courses was 499,377 $m^3/year$. From the average usage, it was found that the rainwater usage (305,126 $m^3/year$ ) was 1.6 times higher than that of groundwater (194,251 $m^3/year$ ). That means the annual average rainwater usage to the entire water usage was 61.1%, which was above the criteria of 40%.

  • Most organization are using E-mail(electronic mail) currently, but we seldom see the organizational success from the E-mail utilization strategically. There are many research which are focusing on the selection and usage of E-mail as a electronic communication media based on Information Richness Theory and Critical Social Theory. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects by using E-mail through providing the model of perceived impacts. This model considers the moderate factors such as top management supports, organizational usage, and organizational pressure based on CST. Also it provides the guideline how to use E-mail strategically.

  • Persistent droughts due to climate change will intensify water shortage problems in Korea. According to the 1st National Water Management Plan, the shortage of domestic and industrial waters is projected to be 0.07 billion m3/year under a 50-year drought event. A long-term prediction of water demand is essential for effectively responding to water shortage problems. Unlike industrial water, which has a relatively constant monthly usage, domestic water is analyzed on monthly basis due to apparent monthly usage patterns. We analyzed monthly water usage patterns using water usage data from 2017 to 2021 in Chungcheong, South Korea. The monthly water usage rate was calculated by dividing monthly water usage by annual water usage. We also calculated the water distribution rate considering correlations between water usage rate and climate variables. The division method that divided the monthly water usage rate by monthly average temperature resulted in the smallest absolute error. Using the division method with average temperature, we calculated the water distribution rates for the Chungcheong region. Then we predicted future water usage rates in the Chungcheong region by multiplying the average temperature of the SSP5-8.5 scenario and the water distribution rate. As a result, the average of the maximum water usage rate increased from 1.16 to 1.29 and the average of the minimum water usage rate decreased from 0.86 to 0.84, and the first quartile decreased from 0.95 to 0.93 and the third quartile increased from 1.04 to 1.06. Therefore, it is expected that the variability in monthly water usage rates will increase in the future.

As such, many soldiers who take part in battles suffer from, or under the danger of, trauma and disease. Very few records in Korea deal with military medicine. Through a research, however, it was discovered that Euibangyuchwi and Hyangyakjipseongbang contains a number of mentions regarding the subject matter. As such, the paper will review military medicine as mentioned in Euibangyuchwi and Hyangyakjipseongbang. Methods : Bingbushouji as discovered in Euibangyuchwi and Hyangyakjipseongbang was reviewed and its main treatment, origin, usage, and reference were categorized and given considerations. Results : Bingbushouji was referened 29 times in Euibangyuchwi and 22 times in Hyangyakjipseongbang. In most instances, Bingbushouji was used as simple prescription, and its usage mainly revolved around the exterior of human body, such as applying directly on the skin. Conclusions : A study of the texts in Euibangyuchwi and Hyangyakjipseongbang revealed that Bingbushouji was put together to treat the ailments and diseases of the soldiers during wartime, and to provide treatment to soldiers and non-combatants statying in a region where medical expertise is scarce.

  • This study is a descriptive research conducted to identify smartphone addiction and influencing factors of high grades of elementary school students. The subjects were 294 elementary school students in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades at 31 regional children's centers located in C city. Data were collected from May 13, 2019 to June 10, 2019. For data analysis, frequency analysis, 𝑥2-test, and logistic regression analysis were performed using SPSS Win 23.0 program. The result of the study were 16% in the addiction risk group and 84.0% in the general group. Factors influencing smartphone addiction were smartphone usage time on weekdays(95% CI: 1.263~827.849, p=.036), and main usage time of smartphone(95% CI: 1.028~29.574, p=.046). Therefore, in order to prevent smartphone addiction of high grade of elementary school, it is necessary to develop a smartphone addiction prevention education or nursing intervention program by identifying usage time and main usage time of smartphone.

  • The aim of this pilot survey was to investigate the presence status, usage problems, and improvement needs of the upper extremity rehabilitation equipment(: UERE) in the department of occupational therapy(: OT) of hospital setting in Korea. The authors received a questionnaires of clinicians working in a department of OT hospital setting through a social network service. Responses of 72 were analyzed in the first questionnaire, and 47 were analyzed in the second questionnaire. In the first questionnaire, the presence status of 16 UERE was confirmed to be 29.2~97.2%, and the usage experience of 9 UERE in the second questionnaire was 36.2~97.9%. In the second questionnaire, UERE's usage problems were reported discomfort in 15(31.9%) of 47 therapists, and improvement needs were 23(49%). The usage problems of the 9 UERE questioned by open-ended questionnaire were uninteresting, easily damaged, level unadjustable, direction unadjustable, and inconvenient installation. The improvement needs were classified into digitization, durability, level adjustable, adjustable function, convenience. The present pilot survey identified the presence status and usage experience of UERE in the department of OT and could be used as a basis for the development of closed-ended questionnaire on usage problems and improvement needs of UERE.
