It is certain that urbanization has transformed the ecological consequences severely, but urban ecosystem is not fully understood yet. Urban growth is not like a static form and it spreads spatially and temporally. Therefore in studying urban ecosystem, it is important to relate the spatial pattern of urbanization to ecological processes. Using gradient analysis, we attempted to quantify the urbanization's spatial impacts in Daejeon-city and Cheonan-city, Chungcheong-province, Korea. Because of Multifunctional Administrative City Planning (MACP), a lot of development projects are planned in Chungcheong-province, Korea. It's important to study about original cities' patterns and impacts. These results can be adopted to future city planning. So several measures such as fragmentation, vegetation index, surface temperature, population density, and income rate were computed along a 75km long and 3km wide transect. The results showed that Daejeon-city has a wider urban center, lower vegetation indexes, and higher surface temperature than Cheonan-city. Therefore in the perspective of urban environments and sustainable urbanism, it seems that Cheonan-city is better than Daejeon-city. The changes along the transect have important ecological implications, and quantifying the urbanization gradient is an important step in understanding urban ecology.

도시의 무분별한 개발과 성장으로부터 도시공간의 보전과 이용의 조화를 도모하기 위해서는 합리적이고 투명한 도시계획이 수립되어야 한다. 이러한 사회적 요구를 수용하며 조화로운 공간질서를 확립하기 위해 도시공간내 토지이용에 관한 계획수립체계가 변화되고 보다 강화되었다. 그거나, 강화된 도시계획수립체계가 순기능적으로 작용하기 위해서는 도시공간에 환한 다양한 정보를 신속하게 수집, 정리, 분석하여 도시의 현황과 문제점을 정확하게 판단할 수 있어야 한다. 도시계획 분야에서의 이리한 요구와 수요는 다양한 정보를 신속 정확, 편리하게 수집하여 수집된 정보를 체계적으로 분석, 관리하고 이를 공간상의 분포현황 등 시각적으로 표현할 수 있는 G[S관련 정보기술의 발달로 가능하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 도시계획법을 근거로 하여 도시계획분야에서의 정보화 요구와 수요를 충족하기 위한 도시계획정보체계의 기본구상을 제시하고, 최근 GIS관련 정보기술동향을 활용한 도시 계획정보체계의 개발모델을 제안하였다.

Design of settlement space is a complicated process while reasonable spatial layout bears great significance on the development and resource allocation of a settlement. The study proposes a weighted L-system generation algorithm based on CA (Cellular Automation) model which tags the spatial attributes of cells through changes in their state during the evolution of CA and thus identifies the spatial growth mode of a settlement. The entrance area of the Caidian Botanical and Animal Garden is used a case study for the model. A design method is proposed which starts from the internal logics of spatial generation, explores possibility of spatial rules and realizes the quantitative analysis and dynamic control of the design process. Taking a top-down approach, the design method takes into account the site information, studies the spatial generation mechanism of settlements and further presents a engine for the generation of multiple layout proposals based on different rules. A optimal solution is acquired using GA (Genetic Algorithm) which generates a settlement spatial layout carrying site information and dynamically linked to the surround environment. The study aims to propose a design method to optimize the spatial layout of the complex settlement system based on parametric generation.

A traditional settlement, in a long history establishment, is appeared to be configured of the people and their life in the areas. This is, a positive aspects, compared to most of the city in these day which is monotonous aspects. The purpose of this research deals what is the formation process and spatial character in urban settlement of Naju city, and how to applicate in a modern city context. For the research goals, it analyse an old Naju Castle area, transformation of the land use through the cadastral survey, and spatial character through step by step in chronical approach. The process of change can be seen in the devide pattern in a lot, formation and extension of a private road, and formation and change of the road; This shows how to changes traditional settlement in a old urban areas of Naju city. A now road system in old area, as a conflict, push the change of the spatial organization, and the balance of the identity of a traditional settlement and a new change as a convenient needs, it is a key point to get ideal settlement.

본 연구는 지리정보시스템과 원격탐사자료를 이용하여 도시공간구조를 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 특히 본 연구는 거대도시와 중소도시의 중간규모인 대도시의 공간구조를 대구광역시와 그 주변지역을 단위로 하는 대구광역권을 사례지역으로 선정하였다. 도시구조는 인구 및 직업밀도를 기준으로 분석하였다. 이 분석을 위하여 1995, 2000, 2005년도의 Landsat TM 5 위성영상자료를 지리정보시스템과 연계하여 피복분석을 통하여 활용되었다. 공간구조는 인구밀도와 직업밀도의 거리조락함수를 추정함으로써 파악되었다. 분석결과 대구광역권의 차원에서는 단핵도시구조를 보이고 있다. 그러나 단핵도시모형의 설명력이 점차 감소하는 점, 부도심의 형성 및 성장 등의 추세를 감안하면 분석범위를 대구광역시에 한정할 경우 다핵심도시구조로 이행하고 있다.

Under the dual pressure of population growth and land shortage, threedimensional development is the inevitable choice for cities in China. In such a scenario, a mixed-use complex has considerable potential in its realization and research. Based on space syntax and the three-dimensional visibility graph analysis, this paper describes the spatial and functional layout of the Shanghai Super Brand Mall and studies the relationship between spatial visibility and user behaviour through linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. This paper studies three different types of user behaviour, namely, path selection, staying selection, and store selection, and finds that spatial visibility and accessibility have different effects on user behaviour depending on the type and purpose of the activity. This paper reveals the influence of spatial and functional layout on user behaviour and puts forward the corresponding design strategy under the three-dimensional environment.

최근 높아진 삶의 질에 대한 사회적 인식으로 여가에 대한 관심이 늘어나고 있다. 이에 따라 문화와 체육과 관련된 다양한 자원을 통해 해당 도시를 성장시키고자 하는 정책적 관심이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 시점에서 지역 내 문화체육자원이 도시성장에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 이를 통한 정책적 방향을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 본 연구는 전국 228개 시군구를 대상으로 문화체육자원을 중심으로 사회 교통 공간성격의 범주에 포함되는 도시의 다양한 개별자원 지표를 이용해 지역의 인구, 산업, 재정측면의 성장에 있어서의 영향관계를 준로그 다중회귀분석을 사용해 파악하였다. 분석 결과, 문화체육자원을 포함한 다양한 지역 내 자원들은 해당 도시의 성장에 중요한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 인구성장 측면에서는 공공체육시설 및 프로스포츠시설의 확충을, 산업성장 측면에서는 프로스포츠시설의 유치를 통한 지역 내 소비증가를, 재정건전성 측면에서는 연관산업에 대한 파급효과가 큰 프로스포츠시설 유치를 적극적으로 고려할 필요가 있다는 결과를 도출하였다. 이러한 결론을 통해 본 연구는 생활체육을 바탕으로 한 삶의 질 환경 조성 및 산업기반으로서의 문화스포츠 기반조성은 도시성장에 있어 중요하며, 이러한 자원을 활용한 도시성장 정책은 차세대 전략으로 지방정부가 관심을 가질만한 충분한 가능성이 있음을 확인하였다.

본 연구는 공간구조의 체계정립 및 계획 실효성 확보를 위하여, 부산광역시를 대상으로 도시기본계획에서 설정된 도시 중심지의 경계를 설정하고 중심지의 역할과 위상을 진단함으로써 중심지의 공간 체계와 특성을 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 선행연구를 통해 중심지의 특성을 나타내는 4개의 지표를 선정하였고 지리적 경계 분석에 강점이 있는 공간통계기법으로 중심지 경계를 도출하였다. 또한 도출된 중심지 경계를 활용하여 각 중심지가 부산광역시 공간구조에서 가지는 영향력과 잠재력을 진단하기 위해 중심지 특성 지표와 인구잠재력 함수를 이용하였다. 분석 결과 중심지에 따라서 규모의 차이가 크게 발생하였으며, 용도지역상 상업지역이 활성화되지 않은 미활용지역과, 상업지역을 넘어 주거·공업지역으로 확산되는 확장지역이 도시 중심지마다 다르게 나타났다. 중심지의 흡인력을 나타내는 잠재력 측정 결과에서도 인구잠재력이 강한 지역과 약한 지역이 나타났다. 따라서 중심지 기능 강화를 위해서는 중심지 위계특성과 영향력 측정 결과를 기반으로 체계적인 관리 및 계획적인 육성전략이 필요하다. 본 연구에서 분석된 결과는 지속가능한 도시성장체계 구축과 균형발전 및 중심지 기능 강화를 위한 역세권개발계획 및 공간혁신구역과 함께 미래의 다양한 도시계획 수요와 정책의 변화에 대응하기 위한 자료로 활용 가능할 것이다.

위성영상 자료는 도시의 물리적 확장을 분석하는데 있어 매우 유용하게 활용된다. 도시의 물리적 확장은 도시의 토지이용과 밀접하게 관련되어 있으며, 지속가능한 도시성장을 위해서는 토지이용을 중심으로 한 지속적인 성장관리가 필수적이다. 그러나 위성영상을 이용한 도시 토지이용의 분류는 우선 그 기준이 사용자의 관점에 따라 다르고 영상 해상도 등에 따라서도 그 기준이 달라질 수 있다. 따라서 도시 확장 분석을 위해서는 다중시기의 위성영상 및 항공사진을 이용하여 토지이용의 분류를 시행하고, 시기별 토지이용의 변화와 영상을 분석함으로써 확장의 형태와 패턴을 파악하여, 이를 기반으로 향후의 도시 확장을 예측할 수 있는 모델 개발이 가능해진다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 도시 확장 예측모델 개발의 전 단계로써 다양한 공간 해상도를 지닌 원격탐사 자료의 국내외 분류기준의 검토를 통해, 원격탐사 자료를 이용한 토지이용 분류기준을 도시확장 분석의 측면에서 설정하고자 한다.

The UK Government's approach to how to deliver regeneration in its towns and cities has changed considerably in recent years. Traditionally, urban regeneration policy focused on reversing physical, economic and social decline in an area where market forces would not do this without intervention. Since 2010 urban regeneration has become a vital part of the Government's approach to increasing local growth and competitiveness and building a strong and balanced economy. The current emphasis is on a place-based approach to regeneration that builds on the particular strengths of different places to drive growth and addresses the factors that hold them back. This paper outlines the key features of current UK urban regeneration policy and how interventions to support regeneration and growth are being pursued at different spatial scales to ensure all parts of the country benefit. They include pan regional initiatives like the Northern Powerhouse and Midlands Way, to groups of local authorities operating at a sub regional level (combined authorities/city regions), Local Enterprise Partnerships, and a variety of smaller scale programmes delivering regeneration in areas of economic and social decline. The paper explains some of the policy instruments and funding programmes available to support regeneration, and provides case studies of some major urban regeneration projects that illustrate the new approach including housing and infrastructure improvements like the planned High Speed Rail 2 line. These are supporting regeneration through the creation of strategic partnerships involving government, places and investors. The paper concludes with some lessons from past and future regeneration schemes to improve their effectiveness and impact on places and enhance local growth potential.
