도시 지표면 온도분포 특성 및 열섬완화방안 (A Study on the Distribution Characteristic of Urban Surface Temperature and Urban Heat Island Effects)

  • The purpose of this research was to three-criteria landuse-pattern, developing density, NDVI which were related to the heat island and find the distribution characteristic of urban surface temperature and urban heat island effects. The results of this study were as follows. According to the analysis of surface temperatures, the first grade was the outside-city like a mountain and its temperature was less than $12.18^{\circ}C$. The fifth grade was the downtown industrial area and its temperature was more than $23.54^{\circ}C$. It means Daegu-Metropolitan-City has the serious heat-island effect. the results of landuse pattern analysis, in case of fifth and forth grade, city area was occupied over 90% with residential, commercial and industrial areas, but in case of third grade, openspace was occupied over 70%. The results of developing density analysis, the temperature had high correlation with building ratio, road ratio, vegetation ratio and etc. To plan for the decrease of heat island effect needed the extension of green space, decrease of paving, but there was a limit to get the objective method for grade classification because of lacking in the basic data, the research of criteria will be accomplished continuously.

도시철도 부하특성을 고려한 ESS의 최적 운영방안 연구 (Study on the Optimal Operation of ESS Considering Urban Railway Load Characteristic)

  • This paper proposes the optimal operation of ESS (Energy Storage System) in the substation of urban railway in an economical point of view. Since the load patterns of urban railway have different characteristics with the general power demand pattern, the characteristics motivate us to develop the optimal operation algorithm for ESS under Korean electricity billing system. We also introduce two different ESS operation strategies for peak load shaving and electricity consumption charge minimization respectively, and formulate each scheme. Historical data from Namgwangju substation are used for economical comparison of the strategies. The results show that the proposed algorithm is the most cost-effective ESS operation scheme among the strategies and reduces around 5 percent of electric charges compared to the charge without ESS operation.

도시철도차량용 IPMSM의 Magnet Segment 변화에 따른 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics Analysis According to the Permanent Magnet Segmentation Change to IPMSM for Urban Railway Vehicle)

  • The following study carried out the characteristic analysis based on the magnet segment of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) for the urban railway vehicles. IPMSM affects the electromagnetic characteristics through the change in magnetic flux based on the rotor structure, and significantly influences the structural features through the change of pressure. Therefore, satisfied by the demanded traction force of the IPMSM, magnet segment derived three different model types. The 1-segment PM model consisted an undivided permanent magnet. The 2-Bridge model consisted a divided permanent magnet with the application of Bridge. The 3-Bridge model consisted additional dividing with one more Bridge applied. The electromagnetic characteristics of the three models were compared and analyzed along with the structural features regarding the scattering of permanent magnet based on strong centrifugal force from the rotation of the rotor at high speed. In conclusion, the final model with electromagnetic characteristics and structural features most suitable of IPMSM for the urban railway vehicles was derived, and the effectiveness was verified through the characteristic experiments after the production of the derived model.

Damping and frequency of twin-cables with a cross-link and a viscous damper

  • Vibration mitigation of cables or hangers is one of the crucial problems for cable supported bridges. Previous research focused on the behaviors of cable with dampers or crossties, which could help engineering community apply these mitigation devices more efficiently. However, less studies are available for hybrid applied cross-ties and dampers, especially lack of both analytical and experimental verifications. This paper studied damping and frequency of two parallel identical cables with a connection cross-tie and an attached damper. The characteristic equation of system was derived based on transfer matrix method. The complex characteristic equation was numerically solved to find the solutions. Effects of non-dimensional spring stiffness and location on the maximum cable damping, the corresponding optimum damper constant and the corresponding frequency of lower vibration mode were further addressed. System with twin small-scale cables with a cross-link and a viscous damper were tested. The damping and frequency from the test were very close to the analytical ones. The two branches of solutions: in-phase modes and the out-of-phase modes, were identified; and the two branches of solutions were different for damping and frequency behaviors.

도시유역의 치수계획규모 결정을 위한 침수특성치에 관한 연구 (A Study on Flooding Characteristic Value for the Decision Method of an Urban Basin Design Magnitude)

  • 본 연구는 유역의 침수특성치를 기준으로 하여 치수계획규모를 설정하는 방법을 연구한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 2010년 9월21일 광화문일대에 발생한 침수피해를 이용하여 XP-SWMM 2010 모형을 검증한 후 침수예상도를 산정하였다. 확률강우량은 Huff의 4분위법으로 분포시켰으며, 기존의 유역출구점을 기준으로 한 임계지속시간의 문제점을 제시하였으며 침수특성치(관로첨두유출량, 평균침수심, 특정지점의 최대침수심, 침수면적, 침수총량, 침수지속시간)를 기준으로 유역치수계획규모를 설정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 현재 유역의 치수계획규모 설정시 사용되고 있는 관로첨두유출량은 도시유역의 침수특성을 합리적으로 반영하지 못하는 것으로 판단되었으며 도시유역에서 발생하는 침수의 결과치인 침수특성이 치수계획규모 설정에 합리적인 것으로 나타났다. 유역의 치수계획규모는 각 유역의 지리 물리 사회 경제적 특성에 기반한 침수특성치를 선택하여 그 유역이 감당할 수 있는 침수특성치를 제외한 나머지의 침수특성치를 극복할 수 있도록 설정해야할 것이다.

지구환경보전을 위한 도시설계의 전개에 관한 연구 -건축가 피터 칼솝프의 어바니즘을 중심으로- (A Study on the Development of Urban Design and Preservation of the Earth Environment -Focused on Peter Calthorpe's Urbanism-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze and to grasp Peter Calthorpe's urbanism through the process that is compared with various developments of urban design field for the preservation of global environment. From this study, Peter Calthorpe's urbanism for global environment is comprehended according to design stages. As a design goal, He seeks a green urbanism that puts emphasis on land use and transportation. As a urban planning, he devises urban footprint for the tool of evaluation and urban planning, and proposes five place types toward mixed-use development, and advocates Transect for eco-friendly land use. As a urban design, he devises urban network model for transportation network based on accessibility, and devises TOD and TOC model for preventing urban sprawl and mitigating carbon emissions, and advocates TND model for pedestrian-friendly space and community life. He makes importance of urban design. Because he thinks that integrative solution is required to global environment and urban design of integrative characteristic is suitable to preserve global environment. The results of this study are summarized as the followings: First, type classification of urbanism for the preservation of global environment and grasping purposes, methods, characteristics according to the types. Second, grasping characteristics and location of Peter Calthorpe's urbanism as a green urbanism. Third, proposing the direction of improvement for our urban planning and design.

Spatial Regeneration for Preservation of Historic Urban Features and Improvement of Living Conditions in High-density Historic Districts: Urban Renewal Design Strategies for Shanghai's Old Town

  • Being the origin of Shanghai City, the Old Town presents a high-density spatial texture, a characteristic of local living conditions in the Shanghai context. However, the Old Town is faced with competing interests: the preservation of historic urban features and the improvement of contemporary living conditions. In view of its high density and poor living conditions, this paper focuses on two types of blocks for urban design research, and proposes two spatial regeneration strategies, as "overlapping lilong" and "texture continuity". It is expected to inherit the regional characteristics of urban space, improve the plot ratio and supplement the mix of functions, through the translation of the traditional lilong typology and the reproduction of historical streets and alleys, so as to provide operable spatial strategies and design methods for the organic renewal of Old Town and other historic districts.

색채 환경을 고려한 서울시 아파트 외관 색채 계획에 관한 연구 (Study on Exterior Color of Apartments in Seoul for the Color Environment)

  • Color plan that contains corporate color of Seoul apartment has a great influence on city environment, considering high-rise vertical dispersion and extent. Therefore, it is necessary to view color plan from an integrative viewpoint. Here, this research aimed at deriving guideline factors of esthetic color plan based on city identity, by recognizing the importance of apartment color and color plan characteristic of recently built brand apartments. Exterior color plan characteristic of Seoul brand apartments seen in this research, first, most of dominance colors were in same color similar tone with warm color in bright and warm image, as the psychological function, accessory colors appeared in similar tone of similar color harmonious with the dominance color. Also, accent color was highlighted with its identity through cooperative color. Second, emotional effect diminished size and weight of high-rise apartment. The upper levels showed clear and clean image, middle to lower level showed stability and comfortable image, on the whole, refined and urbane image that aim for natural and modern image. Therefore, apartment color plan requires, first, in respect of dominance color, unity is required proper for urban image by preparing color permission limitation standard. Second, dominance color and accessory color require historicity and differentiation in sociality that urban identity gets. Third, high-rise upper level cooperative color accent color requires compatibility with urban landscape. Lastly, guideline along with rate is required for color, tone, and pattern, etc. by extent contrast. Here, apartment color plan requires consistent research as urban environment color, also, base study should be accelerated as a part of competitive city branding.

도시의 토지이용 형태별 경관특성과 유형 - 대전광역시를 사례로 - (The Classification and Characteristics of Landscape on Urban Land Use Patterns - The Case of Metropolitan Daejeon -)

  • Recently, as urban landscape is growing in importance, urban landscape planning is being actively performed. for this purpose, classification of the urban landscape is definitely required. Therefore, this research focuses on classifying urban landscape in Daejeon metropolis by dividing the urban land use pattern. This results are as follows. 1. Urban land use pattern is divided into 20 classes. The residential, commercial and industrial areas, the old market and the bus terminal are evaluated negatively, whereas the areas of school, water reservoir, neighborhood park and train station are appreciated as being positive in landscape characters. 2. As a result of a cluster analysis, urban landscape has five different landscape types. These are: landscapes of medium diversity lacking green area, landscapes of high diversity lacking green area, landscapes rich in green area and with medium diversity, landscapes rich in green area and with high diversity, and landscapes rich in green area and with low diversity. 3. In landscape characters of beauty and harmony, landscapes rich in green area and with medium diversity are more positively evaluated than those rich in green area and with low diversity. This point should be taken into account for planning the urban landscape.

서울시 도시형 생활주택 원룸형 주거의 계획특성 및 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the Design Characteristic and Improvement of the Studio Type Urban Lifestyle Housing in Seoul)

  • A studio type urban lifestyle housing was recently introduced as a new urban multi-housing typology. It was particularly created to meet the increasing housing demand of one-person households due to the population change and the shortage of housing supply. However, some concerns have been raised, because the government's policy has been focused on expanding housing supply by easing certain legal regulations in construction. Poorly planned and managed urban lifestyle housings might degrade living conditions for one-person households and ultimately harm urban environments. As such, this research is conducted to investigate the design characteristics of the studio type urban lifestyle housing from selected construction precedents in Seoul. Critical evaluations are made for the facilities and uses in site plans, unit plans, and shared public spaces. As a result, problem areas are found in the lack of design varieties, privacy protection in units, control of natural environment conditions, and the absence of community spaces. Improvement strategies can be suggested by comparing with some overseas' housing precedents: Design variations can be extended through flexible structure, facility, and furniture systems. Privacy and natural environment can be controled through the integration of interior space configurations and exterior envelope systems. The housing policy needs to be reconsidered to improve a variety in design, residents' social interaction, security, and management. Thereby, the studio type urban lifestyle housing should be holistically approached in terms of design and policy to enrich urban living experiences by residents and communities.
