A Construction Method of Expert Systems in an Integrated Environment

  • This paper introduces a method of constructing expert systems in an integrated environment for automatic software design. This integrated environment may be applicable from top-level system architecture design, data flow diagram design down to flow chart and coding. The system is integrated with three CASE tools, FSD (Functional Structure Diagram), DFD (Data Flow Diagram) and structured chart PAD (Problem Analysis Diagram), and respective expert systems with automatic design capability by reusing past design. The construction way of these expert systems is based on systematic acquisition of design knowledge stemmed from a systematic design work process of well-matured developers. The design knowledge is automatically acquired from respective documents and stored in the respective knowledge bases. By reusing it, a similar software system may be designed automatically. In order to develop these expert systems in a short period, these design knowledge is expressed by the unified frame structure, functions of th expert system units are partitioned mono-functions and then standardized components. As a result, the design cost of an expert system can be reduced to standard work procedures. Another feature of this paper is to introduce the integrated environment for automatic software design. This system features an essentially zero start-up cost for automatic design resulting in substantial saving of design man-hours in the resulting in substantial saving of design man-hours in the design life cycle, and the expected increase in software productivity after enough design experiences are accumulated.

한국어 명사의 시소러스 구축을 위한 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a System for Constructing Thesaurus of Korean Nouns)

  • 본 논문에서는 한국어 명사의 의미 개념의 계층을 생성하기 위한 시소러스 구성 방법과 시소러스를 구축하기 위한 개발 시스템을 구현하였다. 기존의 시소러스 구축에 있어서 나타나는 계층 설정의 비객관성 및 작업속도 문제, 비구조성, 비일관성 등의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 상향식과 하향식 방법을 혼합 적용하는 다단계 구축 방법을 사용한다. 온라인 전자 사전의 뜻풀이 문을 이용하여 객관성을 유지하고, 기존 시소러스의 기본 모델을 참조하여 비구조성과 비일관성의 문제를 해결한다. 또한 방대한 양의 표제어를 포함하는 시소러스를 빠른 시간 내에 구축하기 위하여 클라이언트/서버 환경의 개발 도구를 구현하여 여러 사람이 다중 입력 작업을 할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • 한국어 명사들을 의미별로 분류하여 계층화시킨 '한국어 명사 의미 계층 구조'는, 한국어 문장을 처리할 때 한국어의 의미 정보를 제공할 수 있는 매우 중요한 정보들 중의 하나이다. 본 논문에서는, 국어 사전의 명사에 대한 뜻풀이말을 이용하여 bottom-up 방식으로 '한국어 명사 의미 계층 구조'를 구축하였다. 본 논문에서 구축한 '한국어 명사 의미 계층 구조'는, tree가 43개, node가 12,833개, terminal node가 10,347 개이며, 깊이가 17인 하나의 forest이다. 이것의 제 1, 2 계층(level 1,2)에서의 분류 형태는 top-down 방식에 의한 기존의 분류들과 매우 다른 모습인 반면에, 제 3 계층 이하에서의 분류 형태는 의미소성(意味素性)에 의한 기존의 분류와 거의 일치하는 모습을 나타낸다.

  • In these days, there are out of natural sands in the construction field. It is required that development of substitute material for natural material. The blast-furnace slag could be a good alternative material in this situation. It can help resource recycling and the protection of environment. This study presents that the strength properties of mortar using air-cooled blast-furnace slag sand and water-cooled blast-furnace slag sand. The mixing design of this study have a few factors, three type of unit water, four types of W/C, five types of substitution rate. When air-cooled furnace slag sand used in mortar, as substitution rate is higher, 3, 7-days compression strength and flexural strength are going up. But, in case of water-cooled furnace slag sand mortar, strengths are going down.

  • Recently, according to business conditions ;in domestic are beginning to liven up, there is a lively discussion about new housing construction around the center of the Metropolitan area. It is considerable difficult for estimation of power demand exactly to expand power facilities in these area. However. criterion thesis for estimation of power demand which has been applied in present condition is already passed through the 10 years, the reliability to calculate power demand in these area go down far away. Accordingly, it is raised for methodology to evaluate new type of power demand in new housing development in domestic. This paper presents new criterion thesis for estimation of power demand in new housing development through survey and analysis in example area.

  • With the rising social interest in the sustainable life, demands are growing for Hanok, as a viable alternative to modernized architecture of Western origin. However, even Hanok is gaining popularity among the general public, its design and construction are still a minor practice. Aiming to build an information system of Hanok, this research proposes a new design process for traditional architecture, utilizing a parametric design methodology. This process, based on the understanding of tectonic joints and spatial composition of our traditional architecture, defines a parametric relationship among the structural elements that compose Hanok. The research uses Gehry Technologies' Digital Project and Autodesk Revit Architecture to apply a concurrent parametric design methodology, approaching the project in both bottom-up and top-down to present a new design process for Hanok elements.

  • Energy consumption of conventional hydraulic excavators controlled by MCV is considerable when negative load is applied because the meter orifice and meter-out orifice are machined in one spool. Therefore, IMV is introduced to save energy use of hydraulic excavators, but existing hydraulic excavators have various advantages so it is difficult to make a clear comparison. In this study, we compare the use of an existing MCV excavator that has many advantages such as negative control, and IMV for boom up and down operation, and if IMV is used to save energy, we will examine the cause. If possible, for comparability under the same conditions, both systems use pressure balance valves to minimize power consumption when not using power in the actuator. The orifice area at each notch of each valve is calculated, and energy saving is verified by comparing the two systems through simulation.

Combined GPS/BeiDou Positioning Performance in South Korea

  • The BeiDou is a satellite-based positioning and navigation system, which is under construction by the China Satellite Navigation Office. Until the June of 2014, the constellation of BeiDou navigation satellite system consists of 14 satellites including five geostationary earth orbit (GEO), five inclined geosynchronous earth orbit (IGSO) and four medium earth orbit (MEO). In this paper, we present the positioning results using BeiDou B1 code measurements obtained from three GNSS reference stations (BHAO, SKMA, MKPO). Combined Beidou/GPS positioning results are also compared to BeiDou and GPS only. BeiDou-only positioning errors for the east-west and north-south direction had less than 2 meter with root mean square (RMS) value. However, the positioning error for the up-down direction had larger than 10 meter at a 95% confidence level. Our results also suggest that the position precision is improved by combined BeiDou/GPS compared to BeiDou-only.

Fracture toughness of high performance concrete subjected to elevated temperatures Part 1 The effects of heating temperatures and testing conditions (hot and cold)

  • In this study, the fracture toughness $K_{IC}$ of high performance concrete (HPC) was determined by conducting three-point bending tests on eighty notched HPC beams of $500mm{\times}100mm{\times}100mm$ at high temperatures up to $450^{\circ}C$ (hot) and in cooled-down states (cold). When the concrete beams exposed to high temperatures for 16 hours, both thermal and hygric equilibriums were generally achieved. $K_{IC}$ for the hot concrete sustained a monotonic decrease tendency with the increasing temperature, with a sudden drop at $105^{\circ}C$. For the cold concrete, $K_{IC}$ sustained a two-stage decrease trend, dropping slowly with the heating temperature up to $150^{\circ}C$ and rapidly thereafter. The fracture energy-based fracture toughness $K_{IC}$' was found to follow similar decrease trends with the heating temperature. The weight loss, the fracture energy and the modulus of rapture were also evaluated.

대형 건설장비용 주행유닛의 토크 측정기술에 관한 연구 (A study on torque measuring technique for track drive unit of earthmoving equipment with very large capacity)

  • Since a demand for an extensive range of earthmoving equipment like a hydraulic excavator with a capacity of 85tons has been asked in construction fields, a performance of its track drive unit has to be verified experimentally. Among the verification of the performances, a torque measurement is at issue, in which a torque meter is utilized widely. However, the very large scaled torque meter is necessary when a discharged torque from the track drive unit is increased significantly. In addition, the price for experimental set-up of a torque meter is too high due to its limitation of the geometry such as long length, and a break down in operation occurs frequently. In this study, to measure a high torque up to 200,000Nm, a new technique was proposed as an alternative of conventional measurement by using a torque meter. The new technique enables to measure the high torque stably in a compact space via a torque arm and two load cells. The experimental results showed a propriety of the proposed torque measuring technique for a track drive unit with very large capacity.
