무인자율주행차량의 시스템 아키텍쳐 및 통신 프로토콜 설계 (Development of System Architecture and Communication Protocol for Unmanned Ground Vehicle)

  • This paper deals with the peer-to-peer data communication to connect each distributed levels of developed unmanned system according to the JAUS. The JAUS is to support the acquisition of unmanned system by providing a mechanism for reducing system life-cycle costs. Each of distributed levels of the JAUS protocol divides into a system, some of subsystems, nodes and components/instances, each of which may be independent or interdependence. We have to distribute each of the levels because high performance is supported in order to create several sub-processor computing data in one processor with high CPU speed performance. To complement such disadvantage, we must think the concept that a distributed processing agrees with separating each of levels from the JAUS protocol. Therefore, each of distributed independent levels send data to another level and then it has to be able to process the received data in other levels. So, peer-to-peer communication has to control a data flow of distributed levels. In this research, we explain each of levels of the JAUS and peer-to-peer communication structure among the levels using our developed unmanned ground vehicle.

  • 미래의 전장에서는 무인 이동체의 역할이 매우 중요할 것으로 예측된다. 최근 사용되는 무인 이동체는 충전과 관리를 위하여 유선의 충전선과 데이터 연결선을 가지고 있다. 하지만 편리성과 안정성을 위하여 무인 이동체의 무선 충전과 무선 데이터 전송을 이용한 무선 전력전달 시스템을 사용하는 것이 요구되어지고 있다. 이 논문에서, 우리는 이러한 요구를 만족시키기 위하여 무인 이동체에 적용 가능한 무선 충전 기술을 연구하였다. 자기장 유한 요소 시뮬레이션을 통해 무인 이동체의 크기와 무인 이동체에서 사용하는 전력을 고려한 송, 수신 코일의 설계를 하였다. 또한, 시뮬레이션 결과를 바탕으로 최적의 코일을 제작하였고, 실험을 통하여 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하여 검증하였다.

  • Since 1990´s, there has been many researches for the development of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Especially, for the development of digital electronics, the technologies of UAV toward to the miniaturization low-cost, and high reliability. Therefore, recent trends for the development of UAV are focused on the development modern Flight Control System (FCS). In this paper, focusing on the FCS, the development process for Sejong Unmanned Research Vehicle -1 (SURV-1) from design to flight test is presented.

  • One of the most significant UUV(Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) applications is MCM(Mine Countermeasure), which makes good use of UUV characteristics to provide covert, rapid, controlled and efficient survey of a potential minefield without risking a human operator. In this paper, a survey of the today's MCM missions where UUVs will play a role, the vehicle systems that are either under development or planned in the future are presented. And examines principal technical challenges and outline new enabling technologies. Particularly, this paper analyses current approaches to tacking these technologies and technological limitation of UUVs as a MCM platform, and research efforts to develop the technology necessary to meet the domestic MCM mission needs.

  • 본 논문은 IoT전용 망인 LoRa망을 이용하여 무인이동체와 관제 서버 시스템간의 통신을 통하여 무인이동체들을 통제가 가능한 시스템에 대한 설계이다. 작은 공간인 집이나 혹은 사무실 병원 에서부터 공장까지 LoRa망을 적용한 무인이동체 관제 시스템을 설치하여 무인이동체가 특수한 작업을 할 때, 더욱 효율성을 높여준다. 본 논문에서는 네비게이션 경로에 대한 간략화에서부터 다른 이동체 주변에서 일어난 이벤트들에 대한 소통이 가능해 짐으로써, 무인이동체에 대한 사회적 활용도를 더욱 높여주는 시스템에 대한 설계에 대한 내용을 다룬다.

  • A navigation system is one of the important components of an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). A GPS receiver collects data signals transmitted by (Earth orbiting) satellites. However, these data signals may contain many errors resulting misinformation and depending on one's position (environment), reception may be impossible. The proposed self-driven algorithm uses three low-cost GPS in order to minimize errors of existing inexpensive single GPS's driving algorithm. By using reliable final data, which is analyzed and combined from each of three GPS's received data signals, gathering a vehicle's steering performance information and its current pin-point position is improved even with error containing signals or from a place where signal gathering is impossible. The purpose of this thesis is to explain navigation system algorithm using multiple GPS and compass sensor and prove the algorithm through experiments.

  • The research presented covers the design and control method of unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). An electric vehicle is used and is driven by DC motor. The power system on the UGV has been adjusted and actuators have been installed for steering and brake automation. A toggle switch is implemented to easily switch between manual and autonomous states. The UGV state is monitored by a velocity sensor, as well as steering and brake position sensors. An emergency stop device was designed and installed to quickly and safely stop the UGV. Different control methods, including the PID controller, were studied for improved steering responsiveness, and results were confirmed through experimentation. Satisfactory performance was achieved and several possible areas of future research have arisen.

  • 본 논문에서는 유인과 무인주행이 가능한 전기자동차용 수동 및 자동 조향장치를 제안한다. 기존의 엔진방식의 자동차에 사용되는 자동 조향시스템인 EPS, MDPS는 주행 중에 과부하시엔 핸들 잠김 현상이 발생하는 문제점이 있어 유무인 전기자동차에 적용하는 것은 한계가 있다. 제안하는 수동 및 자동 조향장치는 전자클러치와 풀리를 이용함으로써 수동과 자동변환이 가능하도록 조향 메커니즘을 설계하였다. 제안한 조향장치의 성능을 실험하기 위해 실험용 전기자동차를 제작하고 조향성능을 실험하였다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 수동 및 자동 조향장치는 유무인 전기자동차에 유용함을 확인하였다.

  • The goal of this research is developing advanced lane detecting algorithm for unmanned vehicle. Previous lane detecting method to bring on error become of the lane loss and noise. Therefore, new algorithm developed to get exact information of lane. This algorithm can be used to AGV(Autonomous Guide Vehicle) and LSWS(Lane Departure Warning System), ACC(Adapted Cruise Control). We used 1/10 scale RC car to embody developed algorithm. A CCD camera is installed on top of vehicle. Images are transmitted to a main computer though wireless video transmitter. A main computer finds information of lane in road image. And it calculates control value of vehicle and transmit these to vehicle. This algorithm can detect in input image marked by 256 gray levels to get exact information of lane. To find the driving direction of vehicle, it search line equation by curve fitting of detected pixel. Finally, author used median filtering method to removal of noise and used characteristic part of road image for advanced of processing time.

  • This paper describes UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) control system which employs PC104 modules. It is controlled by application program based on Linux OS. This application consists of both Linux device driver in kernel-space and user application in user-space. In order to get data required in the unmanned flight, external devices are connected to PC104 modules. We explain how Linux device drivers deal with data transmitted by external devices and we account for how the user application controls UAV on the basis of data processed in the device driver as well. Furthermore we look into the role of GCS (Ground Control Station) which is to monitor the state of UAV.
