사물인터넷(IoT) 기반의 무인 택배함 시스템 개발 (Development of an IoT-based Unmanned Home-Delivery Box System)

  • This paper is concerned with an Internet of Things (IoT)-based unmanned home-delivery box system, in which the system is developed with a prototype using a weight sensor, shock sensor, the Arduino and Raspberry-Pi of open-source hardware platforms. The developed system provides several functions such as a safe storage means, prevention of delivery-theft, and remote control of the home-delivery box, etc. Specifically, the system recognizes the arrival of goods by detecting the weight of deliveries and sends the arrived message of deliveries to the recipient' smartphone, and also controls (i.e., open and close) the locker of the unmanned home-delivery box system remotely with the smartphone. Furthermore, the developed system provides automatically a warning alarm around the unmanned home-delivery box when an external shock is applied to the home-delivery box, and sends a message on the shock to the recipient' smartphone. The major functions of the developed home-delivery box system have been verified in a realistic environment, and confirmed to work well. With the application of the developed home-delivery box system to the homes and offices where recipients are always not to stay, it is expected to significantly improve the safety of delivered goods as well as to effectively prevent the delivery operatives posing as a crime.

  • The development of technology related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the growth of the online market due to pandemic are continuing the growth of the logistics market for product delivery. If it is difficult to deliver the product directly to the customer during delivery, storage and delivery using the unmanned courier box are being carried out. However, existing storage boxes are not actively used due to lack of usability even though they have the advantage of storing goods and delivering non-face-to-face. In addition, existing courier boxes are not prepared for cold chain transportation. The unmanned delivery storage device with ICT cold chain technology should be developed to prepare for the transition to non-face-to-face society, to improve logistics efficiency and meet user's requirements. Also, it is necessary to consider the measures to reduce the safety problems that may occur during the use and maintenance of the automatic system. This study conducted a model-based analysis for the development of unmanned delivery storage devices with ICT cold chain technology, and conducted a study to derive the system development specifications that meet the requirements and secure safety and apply them to the development process.

무인택배함의 최적입지 선정을 위한 방법론 개발 (Developing an Optimal Location Selection Methodology of Unmanned Parcel Service Box)

  • 본 연구에서는 무인택배함의 최적입지를 선정하기 위한 입지조건 정의, 설치개수 결정, 최적입지 선정의 과정을 순차적으로 결합한 방법론을 개발한다. 우선 입지조건으로는 블록화, 접근성, 지역 중심공공시설이 제시되며, 선정된 입지에 대해 set-covering모형과 p-median 모형을 적용하여 설치개수와 최적입지를 각각 결정한다. 이러한 과정을 실제 사례에 적용해봄으로써 모형의 타당성과 실효성을 검증해 본다. 일반주택과 다세대주택으로만 구성된 안산의 한 지역을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 필요한 무인택배함은 2개로 결정되었으며, 5개 후보지 중 가장 적절한 2개 장소가 최적입지로 제시되었다. 이러한 방법론은 무인택배함 설치시 최적의 결정을 내리기 위한 가이드라인을 제공하며, 택배 관련 강력범죄 예방 및 택배이용 활성화를 통한 경제적 파급효과를 기대해 볼 수 있다.

On Identifying Operational Risk Factors and Establishing ALARP-Based Mitigation Measures using the Systems Engineering Process for Parcel Storage Devices Utilizing Active Loading Technology

  • Due to the steady growth of the online shopping market and contact-free consumption, the volume of parcels in South Korea continues to increase. However, there is a lack of manpower for delivery workers to handle the growing parcel volume, leading to frequent accidents related to delivery work. As a result, the government and local authorities strive to enhance last-mile logistics efficiency. As one of these measures, unmanned parcel storage lockers are installed and utilized to handle last-mile deliveries. However, the existing parcel storage involves the inconvenience of couriers having to put each parcel in each locker, and this is somewhat insufficient to relieve the workload of delivery workers. In this study, we propose parcel storage devices that use active loading technology to minimize the workload of delivery workers, extract operation risk factors to apply this system to actual sites, and establish risk reduction methods based on the ALARP concept. Through this study, we have laid the groundwork for improving the safety of the system by identifying and proposing mitigation measures for the risk factors associated with the proposed parcel storage devices utilizing active loading technology. When applied in practical settings in the future, this foundation will contribute to the development of a more efficient and secure system. By applying the ALARP concept, a systems engineering technique used in this research, to the development and maintenance of storage devices leveraging active loading technology, it is thought to make the development process more systematic and structured. Furthermore, through the risk management of the proposed system, it is anticipated that a systematic approach to quality management can be employed to minimize defects and provide a stable system. This is expected to be more useful than the existing unmanned parcel storage devices.

보안을 강화한 저비용 스마트 택배시스템의 융복합 기술개발 (A Development of an Low Cost Smart Parcel Service System with Enhanced Security)

  • 본 온라인으로 구매한 물품을 택배 시스템으로 수령하는 경우에는 택배물품의 도난은 물론 강력 범죄로부터의 불안이 상존하고 있다. 기존에 설치되고 있는 Kiosk방식의 무인 택배함은 초기 설치의 과다투자와 운용상 관리 비용 그리고 일부 보안 측면에서 문제성을 내포하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 Kiosk방식의 전용장비를 대체하는 방안으로 개인이 소지한 스마트폰을 이용하고 최대 64개의 택배함을 동시에 제어하고 모니터링 할 수 있는 무인 스마트 택배함의 시스템 개발에 대하여 기술한다. 또한 무선통신에서 취약한 보안을 강화하기 위한 새로운 알고리즘을 제안한다. 아울러 설치자의 중앙 서버를 이용하여 택배물 관리 비용의 최소화하는 ICT 융복합 기술방안을 제시함으로써 비용절감 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

  • In this study, as the preliminary step for developing an unmanned vehicle to deliver a container-box, we designed and implemented Automatic Guided Vehicle(AGV) Simulator for the purpose of Port Facilities Automation. It is preferable to research the intelligent AGV for delivery all day long. For complementing AGV simulator driving, we used multiple-sensor systems with vision, ultrasonic, IR and adapted the high-speed wireless LAN that satisfies the IEEE 802.11 Standard for bi-directional communication between main processor in AGV and Host computer. Here, we mounted on bottom frame in AGV Pentium-III processor, which combine and compute the information from each sensor system and control the AGV driving, and used the 80C196KC micro-controller to control the actuating and steering motors.

소가구 증가에 대응한 공동주택지 지구단위계획 개선방안 (A Study on the Improvement of District Unit Plan in Apartment Housing with the Increase of 1~2 person Households)

  • 우리 사회의 인구성장이 둔화되고 가구형태도 1~2인의 소가구가 53.3%로 과반을 넘고 있어 향후 이를 주거단지에서 어떻게 계획으로 수용하여 적절한 주거공간을 만들어갈지가 중요해지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 소가구화 증가 추이에 대해 기존의 지구단위계획이 적절히 대응하고 있는지를 고찰하고, 소가구화에 대응한 향후 지구단위계획의 요소별 개선방안과 적용성 제고방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 최근 6개 주거단지를 대상으로 소가구와 관련한 지구단위계획의 지침과 내용을 분석하고 문헌고찰 및 전문가 자문 등을 통해 문제점과 개선방안을 도출하였다. 연구결과, 1인 가구 증가에 대응하여 다양한 주거유형의 지구단위계획상 반영이 필요한 사항들을 제안하고, 소형공동주택, 쉐어하우스, 독신자전용주거 등 1인 가구 주택특성에 맞는 가구 획지, 건축물 배치, 건축물 형태 및 외관 등과 관련한 계획요소도 제시하였다. 또한 무인택배시설, 게스트하우스 등 부대복리시설의 도입, 유치원 등 수요가 낮은 부대복리시설의 재검토 등 1인 가구 거주특성을 고려해야 함을 제안하였다. 제안된 계획요소와 방안들은 향후 공동주택의 지구단위계획수립지침과 운영기준 등을 작성하는 데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
