대학도서관진흥법 제정과 대학도서관진흥종합계획의 수립 등 대학도서관 발전을 위한 국가 차원의 정책과 과제가 제시되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 정책적인 노력이 대학도서관 현장에서 소기의 성과를 거두기 위해서는 제시된 계획이 실제 대학의 운영에 적절하게 반영되고 실행되어야 하며, 이것이 각 대학이 수립하는 자체 대학도서관 발전계획에서 구체화되어야 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 점에 착안하여, 실제로 대학에서 수립하는 대학도서관발전계획이 어떠한 효과를 거두었는지, 그리고 향후의 방향성은 어떠해야 하는지 조사하였다. 구체적으로 대학도서관 대상 설문조사를 통하여 실제 각 대학에서 대학도서관이 어떠한 위상을 가지고 있는지, 그리고 대학별 도서관발전계획의 편성과 관련된 논의와 협력이 이루어지고 있는지, 그것이 대학도서관의 실질적인 변화를 유도하고 있는지 등 대학의 도서관발전계획의 전반적 효과에 대하여 논의하였다.

본 연구는 대학도서관 연구동향을 살펴보고자 함이 목적이며 이를 수행하기 위하여 2000년부터 2014년까지 문헌정보학 4개 학회지인 한국문헌정보학회지, 한국도서관 정보학회지, 정보관리학회지, 한국비블리아학회지에 발표된 대학도서관 주제 논문을 대상으로 내용분석을 실시하였다. 조사결과, 총 1,023건 중 대학도서관 연구(332건, 32.5%)가 공공도서관 연구(418건, 40.9%) 다음으로 많은 연구가 수행되고 있었으며 대학도서관 연구의 관심주제는 '도서관 경영'(95건, 28.6%), '정보학'(76건, 22.9%), '도서관 서비스'(31건, 9.3%)순으로 나타났다. 대학도서관 연구에 사용된 주된 연구방법으로는 질문지 조사(112건, 33.7%), 사례조사(40건, 12.0%), 면접조사 50건(15.1%) 그리고 기타 방법(132건, 39.8%) 순으로 나타났다. 대학도서관 연구의 학제별 연구 대상으로는 4년제 대학교도서관이 244건(73.5%), 2년제 대학도서관(6건, 1.8%) 그리고 기타 대학도서관이(82건, 24.7%)로 조사되었다. 대학도서관 연구의 연구자별 분포는 1인 연구는 교수(136건, 41%), 사서(35건, 10.5%), 강사(14건, 4.2%) 순으로, 공동 연구인 경우에는 교수/사서(53건, 16%), 교수/대학원생(27건, 8.1%), 교수/교수(19건, 5.7%) 순으로 나타났다.

본 연구의 목적은 국내 사립대학도서관 자동화 발전과정을 다각적인 측면에서 분석하고 체계적으로 기술함으로써 도서관자동화 분야의 역사를 정립하고, 발전과정에서 나타난 문제점을 분석하는 데 있다. 연구방법은 문헌조사와 대학 홈페이지 방문조사, 전화인터뷰를 병용하였다. 대학도서관 발전과정을 선행연구자들의 사례와 대학도서관 자동화 현황 분석을 통하여 핵심이 되는 특징을 도출하여 '도입기', '성장기', '안정기', '도약기'로 구분하였다. 이를 위해 일차적으로 대학도서관 자동화 현황 분석을 문헌조사로 하였으며 자료분석의 표본은 국내 사립대학 109개 도서관을 대상으로 하였다.

This study is concerned with a tentative plan on an arrangement and a model of university library building which is the 2nd (branch) library of J. National University in North Jeonla province. At first, it is necessary to have built new library building for undergraduate student in J. National University. Secondary, I studied on the site problems, a model, size and an arrangement planning in this campus. Finally, at least, to install modernized facilities for this library have to require as follows: 1. General Reading Room 2. Reference Room 3. Basic Reading Room 4. Free Reading Room 5. Reserved Room 6. Periodical Room 7. Seminar and Group Study Room 8. Brousing Room 9. Smoking Room 10. Display Hall.

The value of the university library to faculty, students, and administrators has long been assumed. In an era of decreasing resources and increasing choices, academic librarians must now find the best ways to measure and demonstrate the value of the library to all of their stakeholders, including faculty members, graduate students, undergraduate students, administrators, and funders. Techniques to assess and measure value can also help library decision makers select the products and services that provide the highest return on investment (ROI) to the university community. It is important to measure and convey the value of the academic library; it is also possible to increase the value of the library to the university by carefully refocusing the academic library's products and services. In this presentation I will discuss methods and results from a recently completed study in eight countries that measured the value and ROI of e-journals to the grants process. The Return on Investment (ROI) of the e-journals collection to grant funding ranged from over 15:1 to just under 1:1 in 9 institutions. In addition, many other qualitative and quantitative measures of value are as important as derived measures like ROI. Building on that research study, I am now leading a team that includes the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and several university libraries in a project funded by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services. We are collecting data using on the value of a wide range of library services using several methods for measuring the value of what the university library contributes to the institution and its stakeholders.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the library area of the 7 self-evaluated universities in 1994, and to make them compete one another and go into a better stage of library development. The universities evaluated were Pusan National University, KyungBook National University, Seoul National University, Chonnam National University, Chonbuk National University, Chungnam National University and Pohang University of Science and Technology.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing on the organizational changes of the university libraries. Results of the analysis, that is, factors that cause the library organization to change, are as follows 1. Changes in library size physical facilities, growth and diversity of library collections, change in personnel organization, role enrichment and faculty status for librarians, management pattern of library director, change in financial su n.0, pport. 2. Change in program : change in goals and objectives, expansion of service programs, enhancement of library functions. 3. Library automation : introduction and development of many library automation projects. 4. Introduction of information technology : development and distribution of computer and related software, telecommunication, and new media. 5. Changes in user needs : many-sided demands for collections, spaces, and services. 6. Many other environmental factors related to library organization.

이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 대학도서관의 기금 조성을 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 미국 대학도서관의 기금조성에 대한 구체적인 사계를 조사하고 분석하였으며, 아울러 우리나라 대학도서관의 기금 모집 실태도 조사하였다. 또한 대학도서관기금 조성을 위한 구체적인 방안으로 기금조성과 운용을 위한 도서관진흥원의 설립과 미국의 Development Impact Fee와 유사한 우리나라의 기반시설 부담금제와 도서관의 친구들과 같은 도서관 후원조직을 통한 기금 조성방안들을 제시하였다.

The present survey aimed at analyzing factors influencing the development of the university library collection, with the special reference to the case of the Education Collection of the Pusan National University Library. For this, the present researchers have identified two areas of influencing factors, i.e.., library factors and user factors. Library factors included collection development policy, manpower, materials received as gift and budget. User factors included faculty and students. For analyzing the factors, the present researchers have relied on qualitative research techniques, using heavily documents produced within the case library, interviews librarians, faculty and students, and observation.

급변하는 정보환경 속에서 이용자의 정보 요구는 다양해지고 있으며, 도서관이 전통적인 서비스에서 벗어나 이용자 맞춤의 큐레이션 서비스를 제공할 필요성이 높아지고 있다. "제2차 대학도서관 진흥종합계획(2019~2023)"에서도 이용자 중심의 맞춤서비스를 언급하지만 현 대학도서관 상황에서 이용자 맞춤의 큐레이션 서비스를 시행하기는 어려운 점이 존재한다. 이에 본 연구는 게이미피케이션을 도서관에 적용하기 위해 도서관 내외의 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있는 게이미피케이션의 이론과 사례를 살펴보고 MDA+를 제안하였으며, 도서관 큐레이션 서비스와의 접합점을 찾아 게이미피케이션을 적용한 대학도서관 취업/구직 로드맵 큐레이션 서비스 프로토타입을 구축하였다. 그리고 현장전문가의 검증을 통해 시사점을 도출하였다.
