Perceived Effects and Tasks of Library Strategic Plans of Universities in Korea

Policies has envisioned directions and identified tasks, through the establishment of the University Library Promotion Act and the Ministry of Education's establishment of the Comprehensive University Library Promotion Plan, in order to put some momentum for the development of university libraries. However, these agendas are appropriate for the actual operation of the university itself to achieve these goals. This should be reflected in each university's own university library development plan. In this regard, this study attempts to investigate the perceptions of the effect of the university library strategic plans established by the university itself. Further, through the survey by university libraries, the status of university libraries in each university's regulations, the level of discussions and cooperation with the library strategic plans for each university, and any substantial changes made in university libraries are analyzed.

국내 대학교 도서관발전계획의 효용성과 과제

대학도서관진흥법 제정과 대학도서관진흥종합계획의 수립 등 대학도서관 발전을 위한 국가 차원의 정책과 과제가 제시되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 정책적인 노력이 대학도서관 현장에서 소기의 성과를 거두기 위해서는 제시된 계획이 실제 대학의 운영에 적절하게 반영되고 실행되어야 하며, 이것이 각 대학이 수립하는 자체 대학도서관 발전계획에서 구체화되어야 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 점에 착안하여, 실제로 대학에서 수립하는 대학도서관발전계획이 어떠한 효과를 거두었는지, 그리고 향후의 방향성은 어떠해야 하는지 조사하였다. 구체적으로 대학도서관 대상 설문조사를 통하여 실제 각 대학에서 대학도서관이 어떠한 위상을 가지고 있는지, 그리고 대학별 도서관발전계획의 편성과 관련된 논의와 협력이 이루어지고 있는지, 그것이 대학도서관의 실질적인 변화를 유도하고 있는지 등 대학의 도서관발전계획의 전반적 효과에 대하여 논의하였다.
