Policies has envisioned directions and identified tasks, through the establishment of the University Library Promotion Act and the Ministry of Education's establishment of the Comprehensive University Library Promotion Plan, in order to put some momentum for the development of university libraries. However, these agendas are appropriate for the actual operation of the university itself to achieve these goals. This should be reflected in each university's own university library development plan. In this regard, this study attempts to investigate the perceptions of the effect of the university library strategic plans established by the university itself. Further, through the survey by university libraries, the status of university libraries in each university's regulations, the level of discussions and cooperation with the library strategic plans for each university, and any substantial changes made in university libraries are analyzed.

This study aims at a trend of research topics on university library. This study analyzed the contents of the study, under the theme of university library, published on four academic society journals, related to library and information science, from 2000 to 2014, such as Journal of the Korean Society for Library and Information, Journal of Korean Library and Information Science Society, Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management, and Journal of the Korean Biblia Society for Library and Information Science. As a result of investigation, of total 1,023 researches, the research on university library was performed (332 researches, 32.5%), next to the research on public library (418 researches, 40.9%) in frequency. The concernment themes of university library research were 'management of library' (95 researches, 28.6%), 'information science' (76 researches, 22.9%), 'library service' (31 researches, 9.3%) in order. Major research methods applied to university library research were questionnaire investigation (112 researches, 33.7%), case investigation (40 researches, 12.0%), interview investigation (50 researches, 15.1%), and other methods (132 researches, 39.8%) in order. The objects, classified with academic system, on university library research, were four year university library 244 researches (73.5%), two year university library (6 researches, 1.8%), and other university library (82 researches, 24.7%). The researcher dispersion was, in the case of one person research, professor (136 researches, 41%), librarian (35 researchers, 10.5%), and lecturer (14 researches, 4.2%) in order. In the case of group researches, the research dispersion was professor /librarian (53 researches, 16%), professor/graduate school student (27 researches, 8.1%), and professor/professor (19 researches, 5.7%) in order.

This study purposed to establish the history of library automation through multilateral analysis and systematic description of the development process of university library automation in Korea and to analyze problems in the development process. In the research, we conducted literature review, investigation of university homepages and telephone interviews. Based on previous researches and the current state of university library automation, the development process of university libraries was divided into 'the stage of introduction,' 'the stage of growth,' 'the stage of stability' and 'the stage of take off.' First, the current state of university library automation was analyzed through literature review, and 109 libraries at private universities in Korea were sampled for data analysis.

This study is concerned with a tentative plan on an arrangement and a model of university library building which is the 2nd (branch) library of J. National University in North Jeonla province. At first, it is necessary to have built new library building for undergraduate student in J. National University. Secondary, I studied on the site problems, a model, size and an arrangement planning in this campus. Finally, at least, to install modernized facilities for this library have to require as follows: 1. General Reading Room 2. Reference Room 3. Basic Reading Room 4. Free Reading Room 5. The value of the university library to faculty, students, and administrators has long been assumed. In an era of decreasing resources and increasing choices, academic librarians must now find the best ways to measure and demonstrate the value of the library to all of their stakeholders, including faculty members, graduate students, undergraduate students, administrators, and funders. Techniques to assess and measure value can also help library decision makers select the products and services that provide the highest return on investment (ROI) to the university community. It is important to measure and convey the value of the academic library; it is also possible to increase the value of the library to the university by carefully refocusing the academic library's products and services. In this presentation I will discuss methods and results from a recently completed study in eight countries that measured the value and ROI of e-journals to the grants process. The Return on Investment (ROI) of the e-journals collection to grant funding ranged from over 15:1 to just under 1:1 in 9 institutions. In addition, many other qualitative and quantitative measures of value are as important as derived measures like ROI. Building on that research study, I am now leading a team that includes the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and several university libraries in a project funded by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services. We are collecting data using on the value of a wide range of library services using several methods for measuring the value of what the university library contributes to the institution and its stakeholders.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing on the organizational changes of the university libraries. This study aims to raise academic library funds in Korea through how to raise funds and what conditions are. In order to do this, case studies on academic library funds of university in America as well as academic library funds of university in Korea have been analyzed. As for the specific plan for raising academic library funds, I have indicated to establish office for library development and include library as one of allotment for infrastructure which is similar to the Development Impact Fee in the U.S.A., and the use of library supporting organizations like "Library Friends."

The present survey aimed at analyzing factors influencing the development of the university library collection, with the special reference to the case of the Education Collection of the Pusan National University Library. For this, the present researchers have identified two areas of influencing factors, i.e.., library factors and user factors. Library factors included collection development policy, manpower, materials received as gift and budget. User factors included faculty and students. For analyzing the factors, the present researchers have relied on qualitative research techniques, using heavily documents produced within the case library, interviews librarians, faculty and students, and observation.

In the rapidly changing information environment, users' information needs are diversified, and the necessity for libraries to provide customized curation services away from traditional services is increasing. Although the Second University Library Promotion Plan (2019~2023) mentions user-centered customized services, it is difficult to implement customized curation services in the current university library situation. Therefore, this study examined the theory and case of gamification applied to various fields inside and outside the library to apply gamification to the library, suggested MDA+ and found the junction with library curation service, and built gamification-based curation service prototype for job roadmap in university library. Finally, implications were drawn through verification of field experts.
