  • This study has set up a plan to establish a trail as a means of maximizing a community by using the residents' living materials and unused facilities that a village holds now. A local archive is a place where the records and living materials collected from a village are preserved, displayed and shared with others, serving as a complex space with multiple functions. To apply the idea of 'utilizing a local archive', the empirical study was conducted by making an analysis of trail resources of Baekryeong Island and local archive application resources. Local archive resources were selected through evaluation of connection of trail routes by investigating and discovering the unused facilities of Baekryeong Island village and the depreciation level and scale of them. And actual local archive living references were investigated and collected through in-depth interviews of villagers. Also, through planning of trails by region, limitations of investigation activities were improved and various tangible and intangible resources owned by Baekryeong Island were utilized to enable effective and distinctive investigation activities and experiences. Unused facilities were surveyed and chosen to take advantage of the local archive space, along with in-depth interviews with the residents living in Baekryeong Island. In addition, the current conditions for the trail routes were checked out in order to 'point out the final routes'.

Various plans for the utilization of community facilities to promote the vitality of rural villages and the revitalization of communities have been needed. Thus, this study aimed to offer basic data to seek for future plans to utilize community facilities and reconstruct communities through an analysis of the current uses of energy and community facilities in rural villages. The results indicated that the consumption of petroleum was highest in mountain villages at an average of 187,475 won/month($137{\ell}$), followed by fishing villages at an average of 144,142 won/month($104{\ell}$) and rural villages at an average of 126,070 won/month($93{\ell}$). The rate of utilization of community facilities was reversely highest in rural villages at 84.3%, followed by fishing villages at 61.1% and mountain villages at 40.7%. This research also found that households saved energy when they used community facilities and areas with a high rate of utilization of community facilities at a lower average temperature in winter. It saved approximately 33% energy compared to other areas. Finally, efficient and economical methods for community facilities in villages to be newly developed and the remodeling of existing facilities should been needed in the future to contribute to reconstructing rural village communities that face a crisis of maintenance or abolition.

However, the land price in rural areas decreases when the distance from aversion or pollution facilities increase. Therefore, these facilities in rural areas located in the areas with higher land price because funeral homes located in center of rural administrative areas and charnel house or crematorium located in the fringe of urban areas. • Nowadays, the concept of outdoor campus is different from the past. U-Campus with a well-developed high-speed computer network is no longer a constraint on the campus interior and exterior spaces. From this point of view, today's large-scale university outdoor spaces need to be changed from a simple green space. The university campus outdoor spaces need to be changed into a new concept space. This study analyzed the changes in academic activities and preferences of college students who are users of university campus outdoor spaces and it is aimed at space planning that reflects the preference. The university campus should be remodified through changes in students' behaviors. Participants in this study were four different departments students (Social science, Physical education, Natural science and Engineering). The preference results of 17 items were analyzed. As a result of this preference analysis, we found that there is a difference in preference among students belonging to four different departments students. In conclusion, this study will propose that the preferences of each college should be considered in planning the outdoor rest spaces of university campus.
