본 연구는 환경 변화에 따라 21 세기 노동조합의 기능이 어떻게 변화하고 있는지 분석하고 이에 바탕하여 한국노조의 전환과제를 연구한다. 산업의 탈제조업화 및 지식노동 직업의 발전 등 구조 변화는 노조 조직률을 저하시키고 있다. 또한 IT의 등장으로 고용관계의 성격이 변화하고 단체교섭 범위가 축소되고 있다. 그리고 노동조합을 대체하는 제도들로 인하여 청원기능이 약화되고, 근로자의 의식 변화로 말미암아 대표기능이 약화되고 있다. 이에 따라 21 세기 노조는 3가지 형태로 발전하는데 우선 노조의 주요 기능이 조합원의 직업과 관련된 각종 서비스를 제공하는 서비스노조 모형이 있다. 둘째로 집단적 노사관계가 약해지고 대신 경쟁시장 원칙 및 개별주의 원칙에 따라 근로자와 고용주 간에 의사소통 및 임금, 근로조건이 결정되는 개별대표 모형이 있다. 마지막으로 근로자참여 모형에서는 생산성과 조직 효율성을 제고하기 위하여 각종 의사결정에 근로자가 참여하도록 한다. 현재 한국노조의 모습은 노조를 제외한 환경적 측면에서 번성기에서 쇠퇴기로 넘어가는 상태에 있으나, 의식 측면에서는 성장기 초기에 머물러 있음으로써 정상 궤도에서 이탈되어 있다고 판단한다. 이런 인식에서 한국노조의 전환 모형은 환경에서의 개선, 그리고 의식에서의 전환을 위한 대책을 모색한다. 전환 모형은 환경에서의 개선책으로 '경쟁촉진'을 제시한다. 그리고 의식의 전환을 위한 대안으로 가족노조주의 (family unionism)를 제안한다.

Background: Many factors, including molecular ones, were demonstrated to be associated with long-term prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Thus far, the expression and clinicopathologic and prognostic significance of the carboxyl terminus of Hsp70-interacting protein (CHIP) in B-type hepatitis virus (HBV)-related HCC remain unknown. Materials and Methods: CHIP expression was detected by immunohistochemical staining of surgical samples from 79 patients with HCC with HBsAg positivity. In addition, correlations with clinicopathologic parameters and patient survival were evaluated. Results: It was found that positive CHIP staining was observed in tumor, but not non-tumor, tissues. High expression of CHIP was significantly related to larger tumor size, with marginally significant associations noted for presence of portal vein invasion and higher serum a-fetoprotein level. In addition, univariate analysis showed that high CHIP expression was a powerful predictor for dismal overall and disease-free survival. However, independent prognostic implications of CHIP were not proven in multivariate Cox regression test. Conclusions: CHIP is overexpressed in HBV-related HCC and is associated with unfavorable biological behavior as well as poor prognosis. However, its prognostic role needs to be further validated.

본 연구는 노동조합이 임금수준 및 분포에 미치는 효과를 우리나라의 제조업 생산직 남자 노동자를 중심으로 분석하였다. 임금수준에 대한 효과를 분석함에 있어서는 연립방정식을 사용하여 기업 특성을 충분히 통제한 위에 노조의 임금프리미엄을 정확하게 추정하고자 하였다. 노동조합과 기업의 수익성과의 관계에 관해서는 노동조합이 흑자를 얻고 있는 기업들의 수익성을 낮춘다는 사실이 확인되었다. 임금수준에 관해서는 노조가 있는 기업의 노동자가 누리는 임금프리미엄은 5~8%인 것으로 추정되었다. 그러나 노조원이 실제로 누리는 임금 및 고용상의 이득은 이들 수치가 제시하는 것보다 크다. 노조가 학력이나 외부 경력 등에 대한 한계보상을 낮추고 대신 근속에 대한 보상을 높이는 방식으로 선임자에게 유리한 임금체계를 구조화시킨 위에 강력한 고용보호정책으로 노조원의 근속연수를 비노조 부문의 두 배가 되게끔 만들었기 때문이다. 임금분산에 대한 분석에서는 노조기업 노동자간의 임금분산이 더 작아 이론적인 예측과 합치하는 것으로 나타난 반면, 인적 속성을 통제한 이후의 임금분산은 노조부문에서 더 크게 나타났다.

Selenium, an essential trace element possessing anti-carcinogenic properties, can induce apoptosis in cancer cells. We have previously shown that sodium selenite can induce apoptosis by activating the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway in NB4 cells. However, the detailed mechanism remains unclear. Presently, we demonstrate that p53 contributes to apoptosis by directing signaling at the mitochondria. Immunofluorescent and Western blot procedures revealed selenite-induced p53 translocation to mitochondria. Inhibition of p53 blocked accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and loss of mitochondrial membrane potential, suggesting that mitochondrial p53 acts as an upstream signal of ROS and activates the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway. Selenite also disrupted cellular calcium ion homeostasis in a ROS-dependent manner and increased mitochondrial calcium ion concentration. p38 kinase mediated phosphorylation and mitochondrial translocation of p53. Taken together, these results indicate that p53 involves selenite-induced NB4 cell apoptosis by translocation to mitochondria and activation mitochondrial apoptosis pathway in a transcription-independent manner.

Purpose: This study was done to examine the effect of a multi-component cessation program on bone union by comparing the union time between the experimental group and the control group. Methods: A non-equivalent control group posttest design was used. The subjects were 33 patients in the experimental group and 33 patients in the control group, 66 patients in total. The subjects of the experimental group were provided with a face-to-face multi-component smoking cessation program. After the discharge, telephone consultation was provided once a week for 10 weeks. Results: Bone union time was 51.6±10.9 days in the experimental group and 60.9±13.83 days in the control group (p=.003). Among 33 subjects who participated in the smoking cessation program, the average union period of the participants who succeeded in quitting smoking was 44.56 days, the participants who reduced smoking were 50.67 days, and failed to quit smoking group was 60.11 days (p=.006). Conclusion: This study indicated the importance of smoking cessation in patients with fracture and the decrease in the union time by providing smoking cessation education. If the multi-component smoking cessation program is used as a nursing intervention in clinical practice, it will be effective for bone union by increasing the smoking cessation rate of patients with fracture.

본 연구는 고용불안이 종업원의 노조태도와 노사관계관련행동에 미치는 영향력과 노조몰입의 매개효과를 검증하기 위하여 부산, 울산, 경남, 포항지역의 제조업 및 서비스업의 노동조합에 소속된 조합원 236명을 대상으로 진행되었다. 문헌연구를 통해 연구를 설계하였고, 선행연구를 바탕으로 고용불안이 노조몰입과 노조참가행동 그리고 투쟁행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석결과 고용불안은 노조몰입과 노조참가행동과 투쟁행동의 선행요인임을 밝힐 수 있었고, 종업원의 노조몰입은 고용불안이 종업원의 노사관계행동에 미치는 영향에 대한 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 실증분석결과 확인되었다. 그리고 추가적으로 실시한 고용불안과 이중몰입의 관계는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났는데, 이는 고용불안이 노조몰입은 높이고 회사몰입은 낮춘 결과로 해석할 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 경영자는 종업원의 고용불안을 줄여야 한다는 시사점과 노조몰입에 대한 관리를 통해 종업원의 노사관계행동을 감소시키는 노력을 해야 한다는 관리적 시사점을 제공할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 연구표본의 한계와 설문지법을 통한 실증분석이 가질 수 있는 한계점이 있음을 인정하며, 향후 연구에서는 다양한 샘플을 통한 일반화의 노력과 다양한 방법론을 통한 보다 엄밀한 분석을 할 필요가 있음을 제시하였다.

In this paper, we have proposed Auto-TUS, an automatic transcription module of three union symbols-hyphen, dash and tilde (‘­’, ‘―’, ‘∼’)-using their linguistic contexts. Few previous studies have discussed the problems of ambiguities in transcribing symbols into Korean alphabetic letters. We have classified six different reading formulae of the union symbols, analyzed the left and right contexts of the symbols, and investigated selection rules and distributions between the symbols and their contexts. Based on these linguistic features, 86 stereotyped patterns, 78 rules and 8 heuristics determining the types of reading formulae are suggested for Auto-TUS. This module works modularly in three steps. The pilot test was conducted with three test suites, which contains respectively 418, 987 and 1,014 clusters of words containing a union symbol. Encouraging results of 97.36%, 98.48%, 96.55% accuracy were obtained for three test suites. Our next phases are to develop a guessing routine for unknown contexts of the union symbols by using statistical information; to refine the proper nouns and terminology detecting module; and to apply Auto-TUS on a larger scale.

A symmetric union is a diagram of a knot, obtained from diagrams of a knot in the 3-space and its mirror image, which are symmetric with respect to an axis in the 2-plane, by connecting them with 2-tangles with twists along the axis and 2-tangles with no twists. This paper presents an invariant of knots with symmetric union presentations, which is called the minimal twisting number, and the minimal twisting number of $10_{42}$ is shown to be two. This paper also presents a sufficient condition for non-amphicheirality of a knot with a certain symmetric union presentation.

Privacy preserving multiset union (PPMU) protocol allows a set of parties, each with a multiset, to collaboratively compute a multiset union secretly, meaning that any information other than union is not revealed. We propose efficient PPMU protocols, using multiplicative homomorphic cryptosystem. The novelty of our protocol is to directly encrypt a polynomial by representing it by an element of an extension field. The resulting protocols consist of constant rounds and improve communication cost. We also prove the security of our protocol against malicious adversaries, in the random oracle model.
