Interactive storytelling is a scenario created "on the fly" with digital content through user interaction. Every time interaction occurs between the user and content, a brand new story is created. Interaction intrigues people because it provides different story from same content. Through conventional media, people shared same content and experience. However through interactive media, people encounter unique experience, over same content possibly everytime they use it. People we, by their nature, very interactive being. However, interacting with media is not an activity that people are accustomed to. Hence, designing content has been all migrating experience from existing media to an unfamiliar ground. Unique and adoptive ways of designing content for digital interactive media is being sought out from the need as the result of the evolution of integrated society and emerging information technology. People are already used to some of interactive storytelling through hyper text in CD-ROM and web sites. More complicated and different structured models were born through games that offered graphics, virtual spaces and interactivity. When drawn onto a structural graph, few attributes and similarities seem to occur. This paper will try to outline and discuss structural graphs of interactive storytelling methods and suggest some ways for better storytelling design.

An integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) system has been attracting attention due to its increased energy conversion efficiency and ability to treat various carbonaceous materials. IGCC is also expected to play an important role in the future supply of hydrogen energy. The use of a palladium-based membrane to separate the hydrogen from the synthesis gas stream has been intensively studied due to its exceptional hydrogen-separating capability. However, theoretical research on hydrogen separation is still an unfamiliar area in Korea. First-principle density functional theory was applied in this study to investigate the dissociative adsorption of hydrogen onto a palladium surface. The stability of hydrogen on the surface was theoretically evaluated with various adsorption configurations, partial pressures and temperatures. Further theoretical and experimental studies were also suggested to find a more hydrogen-selective material.

Purpose: This study attempted to describe the essential structure of nursing students' experiences as observers of human body dissection. Methods: The research was undertaken as qualitative research. The data was collected through written sources of 169 students majoring in nursing. The analysis of data was made using the phenomenological analytic method suggested by Colaizzi (1978). Results: In this study, five categories of themes emerged. They were: 'unfamiliar wait','standing at the edge of chaos','growth through reflection', 'be immersed in practice', 'winging to be a nurse'. Conclusion: This study will prove helpful not only in understanding nursing students' observation experiences of human body dissection but also in describing their needs for systematic and emotional support.

This study aims to inquire into the expressive characters of philippe stark's works regarding his design concept. This study examines Philippe stark's design works except for furniture design. It also looks into the modern design trend, France design trend, background of his growth and people who have influenced him. Firstly, this study examines Philippe stark's five design works after 1997. Second, the study is going to analysis the fact between his interior design and furniture projects to read their mutual relation. As a result from this study, first, the understanding of Philippe stark's works in harmony with the dynamics of technology and aesthetics can provide his design languages, characteristics and current design trend. Second, Philippe stark can create unfamiliar space through experimental though and imagination. The study present data on Philippe stark and puts forwards the significance of his works and tries to lead the way of the relation interior design and furniture.

미디라는 컴퓨터 작곡 시스템으로 일반인들도 작곡을 쉽게 할 수 있는 방향이 주어졌음에도 음악을 전문적으로 배워오지 않은 사람들은 음악 작곡을 하기 힘들다. 본 연구는 작곡을 위한 코드를 초심자들에게 친숙하도록 규칙적인 코드 배열을 만든 후 컴퓨터를 기반으로 작곡을 할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 음악을 전문적으로 배워오지 않은 일반인들이 간단하고 편안한 방법으로 작곡을 할 수 있음을 제시한다.

Characteristic functions play an important role in probability and statistics; however, a rigorous derivation of these functions requires contour integration, which is unfamiliar to most statistics students. Without resorting to contour integration, Datta and Ghosh (2007) derived the characteristic functions of normal, Cauchy, and double exponential distributions. Here, we derive the characteristic functions of t, truncated normal, skew-normal, and skew-t distributions. The characteristic functions of normal, cauchy distributions are obtained as a byproduct. The derivations are straightforward and can be presented in statistics masters theory classes.

We report a patient with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) who developed a pneumothorax after needle electromyography (EMG), probably of the intercostal muscles. Needle EMG on intercostal muscles has a high risk of pneumothorax, not only because electromyographers are unfamiliar to its technique, but also due to its close anatomical location to the pleural cavity. In our patient, advanced intercostal muscle atrophy due to disease process would have increased the risk further.

While performing the overseas projects in developing countries under EDCF loans with Korean civil design engineers as a project manager, I often used to find out and realize that lots of Korean engineers are not fully aware of what EDCF means and how EDCF funded projects are being implemented in developing countries. This implies that in the past, they have been concentrating on domestic projects only, not to mention have the rare opportunities to work in overseas projects. For these reasons, no wonder they neither pay a careful attention to the unfamiliar terms nor intend to try to realize them, even though such terms are fundamentals and important in overseas design works. With 'something will make it do'-like-attitude in our mind on site, nothing helps us at all. To help those who would like to understand and participate in overseas civil design works in developing countries under EDCF loans either as participants or as a future project manager, I introduce what EDCF means and how the procedure under these loans is being carried out, and they are briefly described herein this paper.

Delayed onset muscle soreness is a sensation of discomfort that occurs 24 h after exercise, and it is associated with the performance of unfamiliar and high force muscle work, such as eccentric contractions. The injury to the muscle has been well described but the mechanism underlying the injury is not fully understood. Although the pathophysiological processes underlying delayed onset muscle soreness are not completely understood, many researchers have investigated various treatments in a attempt to reduce the soreness. Physical therapy is the most importance techniques to reduce delayed onset muscle soreness. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of a cryotherapt on DOMS. Thirty subjects were randomly assigned to experimental group : control, cryotherapy, and placebo group. Elbow flexion range, mechanical pain threshold. and subjective pain were measured 30 min before DOMS was induced and 24, 48, 72 hours after DOMS was induced. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Elbow flexion range showed significant difference each time, especially at 48 and 72 hours 2. Mechanical pain thershold and subjectively pain showed no significant difference between group.

Hemorrhagic cystitis is a common stem cell transplantation-related complication. The incidence of early-onset hemorrhagic cystitis, which is related to the pretransplant conditioning regimen, has decreased with the concomitant use of mesna and hyperhydration. However, late-onset hemorrhagic cystitis, which is usually caused by the BK virus, continues to develop. Although the BK virus is the most common pathogenic microorganism of poststem cell transplantation late-onset hemorrhagic cystitis, pediatricians outside the hemato-oncology and nephrology specialties tend to be unfamiliar with hemorrhagic cystitis and the BK virus. Moreover, no standard guidelines for the early diagnosis and treatment of BK virus-associated hemorrhagic cystitis after stem cell transplantation have been established. Here, we briefly introduce poststem cell transplantation BK virus-associated hemorrhagic cystitis.
