수중유도무기의 운용가용도 향상을 위한 군수지원시스템의 체계적 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Systematic Development of Military Logistic Support System to Improve the Operational Availability for Underwater Guided Weapon)

  • Generally speaking, weapon system is defined as a combination of primary system and support system which are evaluated by capability and operational availability respectively. Recently comparison of total life cycle cost shows that logistic support system is proved to be more important than primary system. However, until now systematic approach to support system development has not been applied in the area of developing support system. We need to construct a universal metric for effectiveness of logistic support system and to cut out whatever activities or support elements which do not contribute to the metric. This paper describes a new approach based on system engineering approach to logistic support system and also classifies five factors of failure, stock-out frequency, administrative delay time, active repair time and logistic delay time that have influence on operational availability of logistic support system.

수중유도무기의 정비성 향상을 위한 전자식 기술교범 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Interactive Electronic Technical Manual to Improve the Maintainability for Underwater Guided Weapon)

  • Delayed repair to the failure of weapon system can cause enormous damages to military operation. Various materials like diagnostic equipment, general and special tools, technical manuals(maintenance manual and illustrated parts breakdown) and drawing documents are required for maintenance. For existing weapon systems the distributed environment of these various materials reduces the maintenance effectiveness of maintenance crew. In this paper, to provide the information of maintenance procedures and supply to the maintenance crew we develope a digital interactive electronic technical manual of the technical documents which can be used easily in computer through question and answer method and improve maintenance effectiveness and minimized repairing time.

  • 능동형 자기센서는 근거리에서 정확한 표적 탐지가 가능하지만 대상 표적 관점에서는 이러한 센서의 위협을 극복할 수 있는 마땅한 대항책이 없기 때문에 세계 각국의 수중유도무기에서 기폭신관용 센서로 널리 사용하고 있다. 하지만 근래에는 표적의 명중률 향상을 위한 목적으로 능동형 자기센서의 표적 탐지거리를 증대시키는 것에 대한 요구가 끊임없이 제기되고 있다. 표적 탐지거리를 증대시키는 방법 중의 하나는 송신기의 코어 형상 최적화를 통한 송신 코어의 자기소거인자를 최소화하고, 이를 통해서 송신기 출력을 향상시키는 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 수중유도무기에 적용되는 능동형 자기센서의 송신출력 향상을 위한 송신기 코어 형상 설계와 관련하여 유한요소해석 및 실세 제작된 송신기를 대상으로 비교 시험을 수행하였고, 그 결과 송신기 코어의 형상은 송신 출력 향상에 매우 중요한 인자임을 확인하였다.

Neyman-Pearson 표적 탐지기를 적용한 수중 무기체계 교전수준 모델 개발 연구 (Research on an Engagement Level Underwater Weapon System Model with Neyman-Pearson Detector)

  • 본 연구에서는 수중 무기체계의 효과도 예측을 위하여 개발한 교전 수준 시뮬레이터에 대해서 표적탐지 여부의 확률적 접근 방법을 적용한 개념 및 그 예시를 소개하고 있다. 소나 방정식에 의해서 산출되는 SE(Signal excess)을 이용하여 표적의 존재 여부($H_0$ 혹은 $H_1$)에 따른 확률 분포 함수(PDF, Probability density function)을 유도하였다. 이후 Neyman-Pearson 탐지기에 따라 $P_{FA}$(Probability of false alarm)을 만족하는 $P_D$(Probablity of detection)을 구하고 탐지 여부를 확률적으로 판단하도록 설계하였다. 표적의 탐지와 관련된 현실적인 접근방법을 도입함으로써 시뮬레이터의 충실도를 높일 수 있었으며, 실험 결과는 전술 구상의 보조 정보로 활용할 수 있을 것이라 예상한다.

  • To minimize a real world test of underwater guided vehicle, it is necessary to perform a test on ground by using closed loop test techniques. This paper describes implementation of HILS(Hardware In the Loop Simulation) system for ground test and test methodologies for performance evaluation of a guided weapon. HILS system uses a real time distributed computer and a real time processing technique. Ground test results of underwater vehicle are presented for moving and stationary targets by using HILS system.

고망간강의 함정 선체 적용 가능성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Applicability of High Manganese Steel to Naval Ship Hulls)

  • A naval mine is an effective weapon system implemented for defending defends ports and seas. A mine is an underwater weapon that poses a great threat to ships sailing over the sea from shallow areas. Most of the influence-type naval mines detect magnetic field signals from ships and determine the final time of fire. Therefore, the level of underwater electro-magnetic signatures of ships is a key requirement for determining the survival of ships in wartime situations where mines are emplaced. The main reason why the high manganese steel is attracting attention for naval ship hulls is its nature as a non-magnetic steel. The non-magnetic hull does not generate electro-magnetic signatures; thus, it has the advantage improving the stealth of the ship. In this paper, I examine whether this material can be applied in the hulls material of naval ships that must be ableto reduce underwater electro-magnetic signatures by considering the non-magnetic characteristics of the first developed high manganese steel in the world.

Empirical Initial Scantling Equations on Optimal Structural Design of Submarine Pressure Hull

  • The submarine is an underwater weapon system which covertly attacks the enemy. Pressure hull of a submarine is a main system which has to have a capacity which can improve the survivability (e.g., protection of crews) from the high pressure and air pollution by a leakage of water, a fire caused by outside shock, explosion, and/or operational errors. In addition, pressure hull should keep the functional performance under the harsh environment. In this study, optimal design of submarine pressure hull is dealt with 7 case studies done by analytic method and then each result's adequacy is verified by numerical method such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA). For the structural analysis by FEM, material non-linearity and geometric non-linearity are considered. After FEA, the results by analytic method and numerical method are compared. Weight optimized pressure hull initial scantling methods are suggested such as a ratio with shell thickness, flange width, web height and/or relations with radius, yield strength and design pressure (DP). The suggested initial scantling formulae can reduce the pressure hull weight from 6% and 19%.

표적 탐지거리 향상을 위한 근접자기센서 송수신기 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Transmitter and Receiver Design of Proximity Magnetic Sensor for Enhancement of Target Detection Range)

  • Proximity magnetic sensor is able to detect the object target accurately in close range and it has been widely used in the underwater guided weapon system because there is no countermeasures from the target. In order to increase the damage of target by shock wave due to explosion of the underwater guided weapon system, the maximum detection range of the proximity magnetic sensor needs to be increased. In this paper, we describe the techniques of the optimum transmitting and receiving coils design using the Finite Element Method for the output power enhancement of the transmitter and the sensitivity improvement of the receiver. Finally, the proposed design techniques of the transmitter and the receiver were verified using a experimental setup and a prototype.

수중추진기의 추진력 시뮬레이션 및 실험 (Thrust Simulation and Experiments for Underwater Thrusters)

  • In the early design stage of underwater vehicles, it is important to estimate the vehicle's underwater motion performance. The key design elements for the motion are propellers, battery power, and underwater resistance of the vehicle. Small thrusters with motor and propeller are usually used for the UUV(unmanned underwater vehicles). In this study, a multiphysics thruster model combining electro-mechanical and hydrodynamics characteristics was proposed to estimate the thruster performance. To show the applicability of the mathematical model, an sample thruster was used for the derive the unknown parameters of thruster. Hydrodynamic parameters were calculated for a 3D geometry model of the propeller by ANSYS/CFX program. Finally, Matlab/simulink program was used for the numerical simulation to predict the thruster performance from the given voltage/current input to the motor. Also, proved validity of simulation model by experiment test. Test were done by 2 mode(middle/high speed, reverse). The thruster performance curves obtained from this simulation were confirmed to be similar with experiment results.

무인 잠수정 연구 개발 동향 분석 및 발전 방안 (Technology Development Trends Analysis and Development Plan of Unmanned Underwater Vehicle)

  • 무인 잠수정은 접경지역이나 적 잠수함이나 잠수정이 출몰하는 위협지역에서 감시 정찰 임무 가능한 주요 무기체계로 국내 외에서 활발한 연구 개발이 진행되고 있다. 무인 잠수정의 주요 활용처는 민수 분야에서는 해저 자원 탐사, 재난 예측, 해저 지형 조사 등에 활용가능하고, 국방 분야에서는 위협 지역이 등에서 적 잠수함/정 등에 대한 대잠 정찰, 기뢰 제거 등에 활용 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 무인 잠수정의 무게별, 임무별 주요 분류에 대해서 살펴보고, 무게별 주요 분류 기준에 따라 휴대용급, 경량급, 중량급, 대형급 무인 잠수정의 국외 개발 동향을 조사 분석한다. 이를 기반으로 국내 무인 잠수정 개발 동향을 조사 분석하여 국외 대비 국내 현황을 살펴본다. 또한 앞서 조사 분석된 국내 외 주요 무인잠수정 개발 현황을 통하여, 본 논문에서는 미래 국내 무인 잠수정의 핵심 기술로 은밀성 강화와 통합 전장 운영이 가능한 자율제어 기술, 수중 장기 체류가 가능한 차세대 에너지원 기술, 소형화 및 경량화 기반의 정밀 센서 기술 등 미래 무인 잠수정에 대한 발전 방안을 제시한다.
