압착모드형 ER마운트를 이용한 보 구조물의 진동저감 해석 (Vibration Reduction of Beam Structure Using Squeeze Mode ER Mount)

  • To reduce unwanted vibrations in war ship which may be transmitted through underwater path, it is required to use high damping mounts to isolate the vibration. In this work, the beam structure with squeeze mode ER mount is proposed and response characteristics such as acceleration and force transmissibility of beam with constant voltage and optimal controller are experimentally analyzed. The controller is empirically realized and control responses are evaluates in frequency domains. Experiments show vibration reduction capability of squeeze mode ER mount.

A hybrid algorithm of underwater structure vibration and acoustic radiation-propagation in ocean acoustic channel

  • In ocean environment, the sound speed gradient of seawater has an important influence on far field sound propagation. The FEM/BEM is used to decouple the vibroacoustic radiation of the spherical shell, and the Green function of the virtual source chain is adopted for decoupling. For far field radiated Sound Pressure Level (SPL), the Beam Displacement Ray normal Mode (BDRM) is employed. The vibration and near-/far-field radiated SPL of spherical shell is analyzed in shallow sea uniform layer, negative/positive gradient, negative thermocline environment, and deep-sea sound channel. Results show that the vibroacoustic radiation of spherical shell acted at 300Hz can be analogous to dipole. When the radiated field of the spherical shell is dominated by large-grazing-angle waves, it can be analogous to vertically distributed dipole, and the far field radiated SPL is lower; while similar to horizontally distributed dipole if dominated by small-grazing-angle waves, and the far field SPL is high.

장기간 자연 부식된 항만부두 강구조물의 방식특성 연구 (On the Corrosion Protection Characteristics of Port Steel Structures Corroded Naturally for a Long Period of Time)

  • Protection characteristics of the corroded steel pile which was served as a pier structure over 8 years in seawater have been examined in terms of corrosion potential, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and anodic/cathodic polarization curves. The steel structure was sectioned into two parts, waterline(splash zone, just above the seawater surface) and in-water(underwater), and protection characteristics for the two parts were investigated with the application of cathodic protection(CP) by sacrificial anodes using Zn and Al alloys. The main results obtained were as follows; (1) The corrosion potential of waterline zone was higher than that of in-water, which implied that the corrosion of waterline was more severe than that of in-water, (2) As a result of EIS examination, the transition period from the apparent CP to the substantial CP took about twenty to thirty days according to the corrosion condition.

PML 무반사 기법을 이용한 부유식 해상풍력발전기의 수중폭발에 따른 동응답 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of Dynamic Response of Floating Offshore Wind Turbine to the Underwater Explosion using the PML Non-reflecting Technique)

  • 본 논문은 효과적인 무반사 기법을 이용한 수중폭발에 따른 부유식 해상풍력발전기의 동응답 수치해석에 관한 내용이다. 수치해석을 위해 무한한 바다 영역을 유한한 영역으로 한정하고 그 경계에서 필연적인 충격파의 반사를 흡수하기 위해 PML(perfectly matched layer)이라 불리는 무반사 기법을 적용하였다. 수중폭발을 수반한 비점성 압축성 유동을 표현하는 일반화된 수송방정식은 방향별 흡수계수와 상태변수를 도입하여 3개의 PML 방정식으로 분리하였다. 풍력발전기와 해수 유동으로 구성된 유체-구조 연계문제는 오일러 기반의 유한체적법과 라그랑지 기반의 유한요소법을 연계하여 반복계산으로 해석하였다. 그리고 수중폭발에 따른 동수압은 JWL 상태방정식으로 계산하였다. 수치실험을 통해 수중폭발에 따른 동수압과 구조 동응답을 분석하였으며, PML 무반사 기법을 적용한 경우가 그렇지 않은 경우에 비해 보다 정확한 해석결과를 제공함을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 학습 기반 압축 센싱을 이용하여 측면 주사 소나 영상의 해상도를 향상하는 초해상도 기법을 다룬다. 딥러닝과 압축 센싱이 접목된 학습 기반 압축 센싱은 구조적인 측면에서 피드-포워드(feed forward) 네트워크 형태이며 학습을 통하여 파라미터들을 자동으로 설정하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 초해상도 과정에서 필요한 추가 정보들을 다양한 초기화 방법을 통해 효과적으로 추출할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 다양한 모의 실험에서 제안하는 방법은 기존 방식보다 Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR) 및 Structure Similarity Index Measure(SSIM) 지표상 향상된 성능 결과를 나타내었다.

6자유도 호버링 AUV의 설계 및 제어 (Design and Control of 6 D.O.F(Degrees of Freedom) Hovering AUV)

  • In this paper, a study of a new hovering six dof underwater robot with redundant horizontal thrusters, titled HAUV (hovering AUV), is presented. The results of study on the structure design, deployment of thrusters, and development of the developed control system of the AUV was presented. For the HAUV structure, a structure design and an analysis of the thrusting system was performed. For navigation, a sensor fusion board which can proceed various sensor signals to identify correct positions and speeds was developed and a total control system including EKF (Extended Kalman Filter) was designed. Rolling, pitching and depth control tests of the HAUV have been performed, and relatively small angle error and depth tracking error results were shown.

Dynamic Response of Drill Floor to Fire Subsequent to Blowout

  • Explosions and fires on offshore drilling units and process plants, which cause loss of life and environmental damage, have been studied extensively. However, research on drilling units increased only after the 2010 Deepwater Horizon accident in the Gulf of Mexico. A major reason for explosions and fires on a drilling unit is blowout, which is caused by a failure to control the high temperatures and pressures upstream of the offshore underwater well. The area susceptible to explosion and fire due to blowout is the drill floor, which supports the main drilling system. Structural instability and collapse of the drill floor can threaten the structural integrity of the entire unit. This study simulates the behavior of fire subsequent to blowout and assesses the thermal load. A heat transfer structure analysis of the drill floor was carried out using the assessed thermal load, and the risk was noted. In order to maintain the structural integrity of the drill floor, passive fire protection of certain areas was recommended.

보온재를 사용한 고강도 매스 콘크리트의 품질관리에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on Quality Management of Strength in High Strength Mass Concrete Structure Using Thermal Insulation Material)

  • This study is a basic experiment on quality management of the compression strength of high strength concrete, aiming. at quality management of high strength mass concrete by giving the temperature hysteresis of the mass test pieces to managerial test pieces. Different from ordinary concrete, high strength concrete generally shows the temperature high rising caused by hydration heat inside the concrete. It is known that, in mass concrete, thermal stress occurs due to the difference in temperature between the inside and the outside, which causes a significant difference in compression strength between structure beams and managerial test pieces. It is also reported that there is a large difference between the compression strength of cylindrical managerial test pieces of standard underwater curing and the strength of structure beam concrete. Thus, this study made concrete test pieces in an optimal mix ratio for each strength level, and also created thermal insulation curing box and managerial test pieces. Then it carried out comparative analysis in relation to core strength and suggested equipment and a technique that can control the strength of high strength concrete mass more conveniently and accurately.

촉매 지지용 다층 컵 구조를 이용한 메탄올 수증기 개질 반응 연구 (Methanol Steam Reforming Using Multilayer Cup Structure for Catalyst Support)

  • In methanol steam reforming, commercial catalysts in the form of pellets are mainly used, but there are limitations to directly apply them to underwater weapon systems that require shock resistance and heat transfer characteristics. In this study, to overcome this problem, a multi-layer cup structure (MLCS) was applied to support a pellet type catalyst. The characteristics of pellet catalyst supported by MLCS and the pellet catalyst supported by conventional structure (CS) were compared by the reforming experiment. In the case of MLCS, a high methanol conversion rate was shown in the temperature range 200 to 300℃ relative to the CS manufactured with the same catalyst weight as MLCS. CS shown similar characteristics to MLCS when it manufactured in the same volume as MLCS by adding an additional 67% of the catalyst. In conclusions, MLCS can not only reduce catalyst usage by improving heat transfer characteristics, but also support pellet catalyst in multiple layers, thus improving shock resistance characteristics.

선체로 전달되는 해수 이송 배관의 진동 저감 분석 (Analysis for Reducing Vibration Transmitted from the Sea-water Conveying Pipe to the Hull)

  • URN(underwater radiated noise) is one of the important performances of the battle ship related to the stealth. The main source of the URN is the structure-borne noise on the hull. And the pipe vibration transmitted to the hull is the main source of the structure-borne noise when the speed of the ship is lower than CIS(cavitation inception speed). In this paper, the vibration isolator(rubber mount) for the pipe system is described in order to reduce the structure-borne noise transmitted to the hull. The vibrations on the sea-water conveying pipes and their supports are measured in order to know how much vibration occurs on those positions. Based on these test results, the improved design of the rubber mount is suggested by the parametric study and is verified numerically with the pipe and hull model.
