충격성 잡음이 있는 수중 통신 채널의 적응 등화를 위한 확률밀도함수 정합 알고리듬 (Adaptive Equalization using PDP Matching Algorithms for Underwater Communication Channels with Impulsive Noise)

  • 이 논문에서는 다중경로 특성과 충격성 잡음이 있는 수중 통신 채널에 대해 확률밀도함수 정합 방법에 근거한 적응등화 알고리듬을 소개하고 결정 궤환을 적용한 확률밀도함수 정함 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 기존의 제곱평균오차 기반의 최소평균제곱 (LMS) 알고리듬은 수중통신 채널의 충격성 잡음과 다중경로 채널을 보상하지 못하는 현상을 보였다. 충격성 잡음에 효과적인 면역성을 보인 선형 확률밀도함수 정합 알고리듬도 열악한 다중경로 환경에서는 만족스럽지 못한 성능을 나타났다. 한편, 제안한 결정 궤환 구조의 비선형 확률밀도함수 정합 알고리듬은 수중 통신 채널의 다중경로 특성과 충격성 잡음에 대해 탁월한 강인성을 가짐을 모의실험을 통해 입증되었다.

선박의 장비 공기소음이 수중소음에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Airborne Noise from Ship Machinery on Underwater Noise)

  • In research vessels or naval ships, airborne noise from machineries such as diesel engine is the major source of underwater noise at low speed. In this paper, effect of engine noise on underwater noise is studied by considering two paths; sound radiation from hull plate and direct airborne noise transmission through hull plate. SEA (Statistical energy analysis) is used to predict hull plate vibration induced by engine noise, where SEA model consists of only two subsystems; engine room air space and hull plate. The pressure level in water is calculated from sound radiation by plate. Engine noise transmission through hull plate is obtained by assuming plane wave propagation in air-limp plate-water system. Two effects are combined and compared to the measurement, where speaker is used as a source in engine room and sound pressure levels in engine room and water are measured. The hydrophone is located 1 m away from the hull plate. It is found below 1000 Hz, prediction overestimates underwater sound pressure level by 5 to 12 dB.

전달함수법을 이용한 SWATH선의 수중 음향 방사 해석 (Analysis of Underwater Acoustic Radiation of SWATH vessel using Transfer Function Method)

  • The good sea-keeping capability of the SWATH(Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) ship has been attractive for research or surveillance vessels. Especially, for the naval ships accomplishing the underwater acoustic missions, it is necessary to access and minimize the underwater radiated noise level generated by the ships. Therefore, acoustic signature management and control are very important topics for these vessels. Underwater radiation pattern in the low frequency range is dominated by the tonals from the vibration of onboard machinery. In this work, the radiated noise level generated by the propulsion machine in the submerged hull is predicted using the transfer function technique and the hull transfer function for the submerged hull is determined by analyzing the longitudinal/circumferential stiffened infinitely long cylindrical shell and considering the empirical database of the previous vessels. It is confirmed that the transfer function technique can give useful information for identifying the noise source and estimating its contribution to the total radiatied noise level.

Flow-induced interior noise from a turbulent boundary layer of a towed body

  • In this work results from an underwater experiment on flow-induced noise in the interior of a towed body generated from a surrounding turbulent boundary layer are presented. The measurements were performed with a towed body under open sea conditions at towing depths below 100 m and towing speeds ranging from 2.4 m/s to 6.2 m/s (4 kn to 12 kn). Focus is given in the experiments to the relation between (outer) wall pressure fluctuations and the (inner) hydroacoustic near-field on the reverse side of a flat plate. The plate configuration consists of a sandwich structure with an (thick) outer polyurethane layer supported by an inner thin layer from fibre-reinforced plastics. Parameters of the turbulent boundary layer are estimated in order to analyse scaling relations of wall-pressure fluctuations, interior hydroacoustic noise, and the reduction of pressure fluctuations through the plate.

  • Underwater acoustic communication channel is influenced by environmental parameters such as multipath, background noise and scattering. Therefore, a transmitted signal is influenced by the sea surface and the sea bottom boundaries, and a received signal shows a delay spread. These factors create a noise in the image and degrade the quality of underwater acoustic communication. To solve these problems, in this paper, we evaluate the performance of an underwater acoustic communication model using a denoising auto-encoder used for unsupervised learning. Noise images generated by the underwater multipath channel were collected and used as training data. Experimental results were analyzed as a PSNR parameter that expressed the noise ratio of the two images.

선형펌프방식 압축수 시스템의 실험적 수중소음인자별 경향분석 연구 (A Study on the Experimental Trend Analysis of Underwater Noise Factors in Compressed Water System of the Linear Pump Type)

  • In order to understand the underwater noise source factor of the linear pump type forced ejection system, a reduced-model compressed water experiment device was developed. The reduced-model compressed water experiment device consists of a reverberation tank, a linear pump type forced ejection device, and an underwater vehicle. The underwater noise source was selected from the hydraulic ram moving speed, the hydraulic ram/piston pipe spacing, the ejection pipe inlet/water ram area ratio, and the number of water ram inlets. The underwater vehicle was ejected into the reverberation tank by the device. The source level was derived from the measured sound pressure. The source level tends to increase as the hydraulic ram/piston tube spacing and the hydraulic ram moving speed increase. The source level tended to increase as the area ratio was increased, but the level was weak. The number of water ram inlet did not affect the source level.

수중실험을 통한 원통구조물의 3차원 수중방사소음 패턴 산출기법 분석 (A Analysis on the Estimation Method of the 3D Underwater Radiation Noise Pattern of Cylindrical Structure with the Underwater Experiments)

  • In this study for the prediction of 3D underwater radiated noise pattern, a comparison between the proposed method(DHIE, Discrete Helmholtz Integral Equation) and the 3D underwater radiated noise calculation results using the measurement of near-field acoustic pressure data is performed. The near-field acoustic pressure in water is measured for the calculation of the far-field radiated noise pattern and the far-field acoustic power. Also the vibration field of the underwater structure is measured in simultaneously. Using the total far-field acoustic power and the vibration field on the surface of the structure, the proposed method(DHIE) can predict the underwater radiated noise pattern of the far-field The predicted results show the reasonable agreement within about 5dB comparing with the experiment result.

수중폭발충격에 대한 수중음향 트랜스듀서의 내충격 특성 해석 (Analysis for Anti-shock Characteristics of Underwater Acoustic Transducers to the Explosive Shock)

  • Underwater acoustic transducers can be exposed to a underwater explosive shock caused by various types of underwater weapon. So, a robust anti-shock design is required for transducers to endure the underwater explosive shock. To check the anti-shock characteristics of a transducer, underwater explosive shock test is needed. The conditions of underwater explosive shock test are set up referring to various oversea explosive shock test specifications, and the explosive shock pressure values are calculated according to those conditions. Transient analyses art: carried out for two kinds of underwater acoustic transducer model to verify the anti-shock characteristics. The applied model has robust anti-shock characteristics enough to endure the explosive shock up to 2300 psi. In the future, the transducer design should be certified through the fields test, and modified if needed.

  • 발파에 의한 소음 진동의 물리적 크기 이외에 영향을 미치는 대상의 응답조건, 주변 환경에 적응상태 및 주관적 감정, 정신적 상태 등에 따라 크게 좌우되는 특성을 가지고 있어 명확히 피해영향을 판단하는 것은 매우 어려운 일이다. 특히 어류의 피해영향에 대해서는 실험을 통한 연구자체도 어렵고, 적용할 수 있는 제시기준이 모호하여 정확한 평가방법은 물론 실제 소음 진동 노출정도의 예측에 많은 어려움이 있다. 국내의 경우 수중소음 피해인정 기준을 140 dB re $1{\mu}Pa$, 수중 배경음과의 차가 어류에 미치는 피해기준은 20 dB re $1{\mu}Pa$ 이상으로 규정하고 있으나, 이는 연속음에 대한 것으로서 충격음인 발파음에 대한 평가로서는 적합하지 않다. 이 연구에서는 시험발파를 통해 바위갯지렁이 양식장 주변에서 발파 시 진동속도와 수중소음의 관계를 예측해보았다. 그리고 수중소음 피해인정기준에서 배경소음과의 차에 대한 의견을 제시해 보고자 한다.

  • 발파, 브레이커, 진동로울러 및 파일 작업과 같은 건설공정이 있을 경우, 건설 작업 인접 지역에서는 피해가 발생할 수 있다. 수중 소음의 경우, 지반진동이 고체 전달음의 형태로 전달된다. 이와 같은 수중소음은 강이나 바다 혹은 육지의 양식장에 피해를 유발할 수 있다. 본 연구는 발파, 천공, 브레이커 및 진동로울러와 같은 작업 공정으로 인하여 발생된 지반진동이 수중소음으로 입사될 때의 소음값 및 주파수를 분석하였다. 수중 소음 측정시에는 수중소음기 (TC 4013)을 활용하였으며, 저장 및 분석은 Prosig 프로그램을 활용하였다.
