아동의 물리지식: 물체의 운동에 대한 아동의 이해와 발달 (Physical knowledge in children: Children's developing understanding of object motion)

  • 본 연구는 아동들의 물리지식 발달을 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 3세에서 11세 사이의 아동 80명과 성인 16명이 연구에 참여하였고 이들이 어떤 물리지식을 가지고 있는지, 이러한 물리지식이 물리이론의 형태로 체제화 되어 있는지, 어떤 발달적 변화가 일어나는지 등을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 높은 곳에서 떨어지는 물체 과제에서는 물체의 낙하운동 자체에 대해서는 모든 연령의 아동이 정확한 지식을 가지고 있었다. 그러나 이러한 운동의 원인이 되는 힘인 중력, 관성력, 마찰력, 부력 등을 이해하고 여기에 관련된 다른 개념들을 이해하는데 있어서는 연령차가 있었다. 연령이 낮아질수록 중력보다는 지지의 유무로 낙하운동을 이해하고 물체의 무게와 공기의 저항과 같은 관련되는 다른 지식도 없는 것으로 나타났다. 경사면에서 미끄러지는 물체 과제에서는 물체의 움직임 자체는 모든 연령의 아동들이 정확하게 예측할 수 있었지만 이에 영향을 미치는 무게나 이 상황에서 작용하는 힘인 중력과 마찰력, 그리고 그들의 상호작용에 대해서는, 9세와 11세가 되어야 소수의 아동이 정확하게 이해할 수 있게 되는 것으로 나타났다. 물에 뜨거나 가라앉는 물체 과제에서는 5세 이하의 어린 아동의 경우는 상당수가 물체가 물에 뜨거나 가라앉는 현상 자체를 이해하는데 어려움이 있었다. 그 원인에 대해서도 9세와 11세 아동 중 소수가 부력이나 중력을 언급하였지만 이러한 지식도 완벽한 것은 아니었다. 그리고 부력에 관해서는 성인들조차 완벽한 지식을 가지고 있지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 종합하면 아동들은 약 5세경부터 자신의 물리지식을 물리현상의 원인을 설명하는 도구로 사용한다는 점에서 초보적인 수준의 물리이론을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 그러나 응집성과 추상성 측면에서 보면 9세와 11세 아동들의 이론도 응집성이 부족하고 여전히 지각적 속성을 인과기제로 사용하는 등 추상성도 부족하였다. 마지막으로 아동들의 물리지식은 연령이 증가함에 따라 인과기제로서의 역할, 응집성, 추상성 등의 이론적 특성이 강해지는 방향으로 변화하는 뚜렷한 발달적 경향성을 보여 주었다.

수, 해운 승선계열 대학생의 의식 구조 (The structure of consciousness of board system collegian who attended in fisheries and maritime college)

  • I have investigated questionaire concerning to the view of worth and construction of consciousness as to boarding system collegian who will employed in fisheries and maritime industries. The results were as follows; It appeared 38.9% that most collegian had a firm subjectivity about enrolled motive, selection of department, they had selected department according to the neighborhood recommendation, own squired score rather than the adaption and prospection, also it was appeared 55% that they had not satisfied with attending to their college, accordingly, the effectiveness of education were demolished in such aspects. It was appeared 74.3% that the education of fisheries and maritime college were divided into theory and practice pertinently also, 77.1% that modulate both technical education and human like education but as a general rule, the education of ocean going liscensed officer was appeared 7.1% only so that, the reformation of the curriculum and contents of education would be needed. As to the relation between professors and collegian, it was appeared 38.4% that well understanding professor, 18.1% that well teaching professor, 13.3% that they having humanlish relation with professor, 30.6% that they will benefit to vocational selection. consequently, the professor have to brings up the harmony on dint of education and industries. The things which collegian think to be worth were 43.6%, intercourse of friend 30.3%, circle activity. 6.6% listening lecture, also, the leisure activity after school were 74.7% with friends. 16.4% alone. consequently, the professor has to guide of leisure activity after lesson. most collegian has a good relationship with their parent(91.6%) but the respond with bad relationship was 8.4%. The most serious agony which collegian think about is vocational problems (48.9%), the other sex problem(22.5%). The objects consult with agony was aquaintance(54.9%). The parent(5.1%), professors(2.3%), the collegian who did not consult with agony was 20.9%. The parents and the professor is not object consult with their agony. so that, the professors has to strengthen the education according to the human nature. As to job after graduation of such college, collegian who wish to be taken job on the fisheries and maritime industry were 50.5%, on the contrary, the collegian who wish to be taken a job no relation with his major subjects was 29.1% especially, the collegian who want to be embarked was 26.3% (fisheries 23.3%, maritime 30.5%). so that, we must adopt the counter plan for the globalization and effective investment on the fisheries and maritime college.

環境汚染의 解決을 위한 綜合科學的 接近方法 (I) (An Interdisciplinary Approach for the Solution of Enviromental polution)

  • Environmental pollution or contaminations caused by various kinds of pollutants have become one of most serious problems of our time. Environ mental pollution is the unfavoralble alteration of our surroundings, through direct or indirect effects of changes in energy patterns, rediation levels, chemical and physical constitution and abundances of organisms. These changes may affect humans directly or through their supplies of water and of agicultural and other biological products, their physical objects or possessions, or their opportunities for recreation and appreciation of nature. Pollutants that meet the criteria of this definition of environmental pollution are numerous: gases (such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides) and paniculate matter (such as smoke particles, lead aerosols, and asbestos) in the atmosphere; pesticides and radioactive isotopes in the atmosphee and in waterways; sewage, organic. chemicals, and phosphates in water; solid wastes on land; excessive heating (thermal pollution) of rivers and lakes; and many others. Some of these pollutants are introduced into the environment naturally, others by human actions, and most in both ways. Our major concer is with environmental pollution resulting wholly or largely as a by-product of human activities, because these can be controlled most readily. Environmental pollution cannot be solved by science and technology alone. It should be handled by an interdisciplinary approach with combined methods of science and technology as wen as social science disciplines for the better solution of this critical problem. In this respect, introducing "Environmental Science," a new scientific approach for the solution of environmental problems, which is now widely accepted by most developed countries of the world will be very helpful for systematization of theoretical basis for a new scientific approach to environmental pollution. Environmental science is "the study of all systems of air, land, water, energy, and life that surround Man. It includes all sciences directed to the system-level of understanding of the environment, drawing especially upon such disciplines as meteorology, geophysics, oceanography, and ecology, and utilizing to the fullest knowledge and techniques developed in such fields as physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and engineering as well as many social science disciplines, such as economics, such as economics, law, political science and public administration." The components of this discipline are not new, for they are drawn from existing areas of science within biology chemistry, physics, and geoscience. What is really new about environmental science, however, is it siewpoint - its orientation to global problems, its conception of the earth as a set of interlocking, interacting systems, and its interest in Man as a part of these systems.

에머지(Emergy) 개념을 이용한 산지가치의 계량화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Quantification of Forest Land Values Using the Emergy Synthesis)

  • As forest land takes up 65% of the Korean peninsula, there have been continuing conflicts between the development and conservation of forest land. As the income level has changed over time, the usage of forest land in society has changed. There has been increasing demands for forest land for urban development and recreational use. On the other hand, a large proportion of the land is required to be preserved for the forest and the natural ecosystem in it. The existing management system for the forest land has been designed focusing on the management of the trees on the land, and not the land itself. Due to this limitation, the current management system of forest land has failed to protect the forest land from being developed indiscreetly, making it difficult to conserve and develop the forest land in an efficient way. A major question in forest land management is how to integrate economic use activities with the supporting ecosystems to maximize performance of the ecological-economic system. In order to promote sustainable use of forest resources, and to achieve efficient forest land management, it is prerequisite to evaluation on forest resources of natural ecosystems. Quantitative measures are needed that signify how necessary the services and products of forested ecosystems are to human endeavors. In this study, the natural wealth provided by forest land was quantified based on emergy synthesis. Emergy is a universal measure of real wealth of the work of nature and society made on a common basis. Thus, Calculations of emergy provide a basis for making choices about environment and economy following the general public policy to maximize real wealth. The goals of forest land management to achieve balance between the ecology and economy of its integrated system and to foster equity among the diverse outcomes of the forest land were assessed with emergy. Emergy was demonstrated to holistically integrated and quantify the interconnections of a coupled nature-human system allowing the goals of ecological balance and outcome equity to be measured quantitatively. Doing so will provide a better understanding of the basis of forest land wealth and the consequences of management decisions.

청소년기 장신구 착장에 관한 연구 - 라이프스타일과 의복행동을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Ornaments Wear of Adolescents - Focusing on the Life Style and Clothing Behavior -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the disposition of adolescents in their ornament wearing pattern associate with their life style and clothing behavior. The subject of this study consists of 345 middle and high school girls living in Chung-Nam Province and Taejon Metropolitan City. SPSS/PC+ program was utilized to calculated frequency(N), mean value(M) and standard deviation(SD) for statistical analysis. Differences among the populations were examined through f test, ANOVA. The results of this study reveals that the ornaments wearing patterns are significantly different according to their life style and clothing behavior as follows: 1. Correlation between the wear of ornaments and the life style: School girls who pursue the modernistic life style prefer the fashionable ornaments (e.g. sunglasses) and they are always in contact with the latest information. On the contrary, school girls who pursue the practical life style emphasize on the practical use when they purchase the ornaments, e.g. umbrella. School girls having romantic or passive nature have a preference for the brand name and brand image of the ornaments and they in general would like to buy ornaments such as the bracelets. 2. Correlation between the wear of ornaments and the clothing behavior: School girls having sympathetic nature and being deeply interested in clothing put a stress on the latest fashion of the ornaments. They usually want to buy fashionable ornaments such as the cellular phone, beeper and sunglasses. Subjects who estimate themselves by their garments are sensitive to the price of the ornaments while aesthetes emphasize the brand image of the ornaments. Chaste school girls put their emphasis on the quality of the ornaments and they most want to have functional hair bands. Following suggestions can be made based on the discussions above: It is necessary for us to have correct understanding about the correlation between the ornaments and clothing of school girls in order to lead them to have appropriate clothing behavior. Furthermore, it is required to construct a bridge linking a course of study to rational habits guidance which will provide us more appropriate tools for clothing behavior guidance.

지구과학II 교과서의 한반도 중생대 지질 내용 분석: 교과서 내·교과서 간·과학 지식과의 일치 여부를 중심으로 (Content Analysis of the Mesozoic Geology of the Korean Peninsula in Earth Science II Textbooks: Focusing on Consistency within and among Textbooks, and with Scientific Knowledge)

  • 한반도 지질 정보는 공공적 활용을 위한 기초 지식의 토대를 제공하며 역사 과학으로서 지질학의 본성을 배울 수 있는 계기를 마련하므로 과학교육 측면에서 중요성이 크다. 특히 한반도에서 지구조 활동이 활발했던 중생대는 한반도 지사를 이해하기 위해 매우 중요한 시기이다. 본 연구의 목적은 2015 개정 교육과정에 기반한 지구과학II 교과서의 '한반도의 지질' 단원에서 중생대의 지질과 관련된 내용의 신뢰성과 일관성을 분석하는 것이다. 분석 대상은 지구과학II 교과서 4종이고, 분석 범위는 중생대의 퇴적층, 지각 변동 및 화강암류이다. 분석 항목은 분석 범위와 관련된 용어, 시기, 암석 분포 지역이며, 분석 항목별로 교과서 내·교과서 간 일치 여부 및 과학 지식과 교과서 내용의 일치 여부를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 중생대 지질 관련 용어, 시기, 암석 분포 지역 측면에서 각각 다양한 불일치 사례가 확인되었으며, 불일치 사례를 중심으로 개선 방안을 논하였다. 한반도 지질 교육의 목표를 달성하기 위해 과학계와 교육계의 협업을 통해 최신 과학 지식과 정합한 교육 자료가 개발될 필요성을 강조하였다.

중등학생들의 과학과 생물에서의 '실험'의 의미에 대한 인식구조 비교 (Comparing the Structure of Secondary School Students' Perception of the Meaning of 'Experiment' in Science and Biology)

  • 실험에 대한 메타적 인식은 학생들의 과학적 탐구와 과학의 본성에 대한 이해의 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 이 연구에서는 중학생과 고등학생의 과학과 생물에서의 '실험'의 의미에 대한 인식을 알아보았다. 특히 이 연구에서는 언어 네트워크 분석방법을 사용하여 학생들의 인식을 구조적으로 확인하였다. 이 연구를 위해 190명의 중학생과 200명의 고등학생 이 연구에 참여하였다. 학생들은 과학에서의 '실험'과 생물에서의 '실험'의 의미에 대한 두 문항에 서술형으로 응답하였다. 수집된 응답을 바탕으로 총 4개의 언어 네트워크가 구성되었다. 연구 결과, 과학에서의 '실험'에 대하여 중학생들은 '우리', '직접', '원리' 등의 단어를 중심으로 활동적 측면에서의 실험을 인식하였다. 반면 고등학생은 '이론', '사실', '내용' 등의 단어를 중심으로 지식을 생성하는 탐구과정으로서의 실험으로 인식하였다. 또한 생물에서의 '실험'에 대하여 중학생은 '해부', '몸'을 중심으로, 고등학생은 '생명', '관찰'이 중심으로 인식하여 생명체를 다루는 관찰활동으로 인식하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 앞으로 과학 교과 및 생물 교과에서 실험을 지도하는데 있어서 중요한 근거자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

자연사와 자연사 박물관에 대한 학생, 교사, 학부모들의 인식연구 (Perceptions of Students, Teachers and Parents Regarding Natural History and Natural History Museums)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 자연사 및 자연사박물관에 대한 학생, 교사, 학부모들의 인식을 연구하는 것이다. 이를 위해 첫째, 자연사와 자연사박물관에 대한 개념의 특징을 알아보기 위해 인지도, 친숙도, 연상되는 것, 느낌, 포함될 분야 등을 알아보고, 둘째 개념의 접촉통로를 알아보기 위해 접촉매체, 교육경험, 관람경험 등을 조사한 후 마지막으로 관심도를 알아보기 위해 학습에 대한 흥미, 관람에 대한 흥미 등을 조사하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 사람들은 자연이나 환경에 대한 관심이 의외로 높지 않았다. 둘째, 사람들에게 자연사와 자연사박물관은 둘 다 들어본 경험이 드문 것은 아니지만, 친숙한 개념은 아니었다. 셋째, 사람들은 자연사와 자연사박물관이란 말을 들었을 때 공룡을 가장 먼저 연상했고, 자연사란 말은 '낯설지만 관심 있고 신비로운' 느낌을 주며, 자연사박물관은 '낯설지만 교육적이고 관심을 갖게 하는' 대상으로 지각하였다. 넷째, 자연사와 자연사박물관이란 말은 TV를 통해 가장 많이 접했다. 다섯째, 대부분의 사람들은 자연사를 학교에서 배운적이 없었지만, 배워보고 싶은 요구가 높았고, 마찬가지로 자연사박물관을 경험한 사람이 드물었지만, 관람해 보고 싶은 요구는 높았다.

한국 정신박약아의 실태 조사 연구(교육기관 및 시설을 중심으로) (Study on Institutionalized Mentally Retarded Children in Korea(Particularly Regarding Their Accommodation and Education Facilities))

  • As the result of a survey conducted by the author on the status of tile 12 educational institutions for mentally retarded children in Korea and their quartering facilities as well as on 934 children accommodated in such institutions, the following conclusion has been reached: 1) More than a half (approximately 58 percent) of the facilities for mentally retarded children are concentrated in Seoul. About eighty-three percent of these facilities are private establishments, of which 70 percent have their proprietors concurrently as their superintendents. Although these facilities were first established as many as 22 years ago, it has been only five or six years since education was actually started for mentally restarted children. 2) Out of a total of 179 employes, teachers number 99, there by constituting approximately 57.6 percent. Out of them, however, only 32 teachers or 2.8 percent have special teachers licenses. Thus, each teachers has to take care of an average of 29 children. This is excessive a number of children per teachers in view of the special nature of this education, there by indication how urgent it would be to secure more teachers lot this field. 3) Out of the mantally retarded children investigated 57.6 percent suffer from physical disorder in addition to mental retardation, 53.0 percent from mental alienation illnesses besides retardation, and 25 pent from physical, mental disorders in addition to retardation. It is therefore necessary to maintain medical and nursing facilities together with educational facilities. however, two places have no medical facilities at all, and four other places, without medical personnel, have to receive medical support from nearby hospitals or clinics. 4) The total number of children in the surveyed facilities is 934, who can be broken down into 58.7 percent boys and 41.3 percent for girls. They are classified into 12.5 percent for idiot, 37.7 percent for imbeciles, 32.7 percent for morons, and 17.3 percent for thoes children on borderline. Their average age is 13.9 years. 5) As the result of education, the illiteracy rate of mentally retarded children has decreased from 78.1 percent to 32.1 percent while the percentage of those taking the primary school course has increased for 12.2 per cent to 33.5 percent. As a result, it has been learned that education is definitely necessary for Retarded children though it may be a difficult task. 6) The children who have mentally retarded children among their brothers or sisters constitute 6.3 percent of the total number. The corresponding rate for boys is 3.5 percent while that for girls is a remarkably higher rate 10.6 percent. Through studies on the causes of their mental retardation, it has been learned that 39.6 percent of them is of the inherent type and 35.3 percent is of the environmental type. Control and improvement of health of mothers and children, early diagnosis and early treatment are believed to be very important because they could prevent or alleviant much of these conditions. 7) The storage age of teachers and employes is 35.3 years, an indication that a great proportion of them is experienced in a way or another as their major difficulty or problems in serving with these special school, 22.5 percent cited inadequate payment 24.5 gave the inadequate public understanding, and 22.5 percent pointed out the lack of understanding on the part of give parents.

서해 중부 태안반도 북부 해역의 장안사퇴 표층퇴적물 분포 특성 (Distribution Patterns of Surface Sediments of the Jangan Linear Sand Ridge off the Northern Taean Peninsula, in the Mid-west Coast of Korea)

  • 빈사 상태의 대륙붕 사퇴와는 달리, 연안 사퇴는 활동성이 높으며 주변 해양환경변화에 민감하게 반응하기 때문에 해저지형변화의 관점에서 관심의 대상이다. 대산항에서 불과 5 km 떨어진 장안사퇴는 지난 20여 년 동안 격심한 해저지형변화를 겪어오고 있다. 이러한 해저지형변화의 원인을 밝히기 위해서는 사퇴의 특성을 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 이러한 맥락에서 이 연구는 장안사퇴와 주변해역의 퇴적물 분포 양상을 이해하고자, 그랩식 채니기를 사용하여 총 227점의 퇴적물을 획득하고 체질-피펫방식의 입도분석을 수행하였다. 또한 1997년의 입도자료와 비교를 통해 지난 25년 동안의 퇴적물 입도 변화를 조사하였다. 장안사퇴의 중심부는 평균 입도 2-3∅의 중립사 내지는 세립사로 이루어졌으며, 사퇴의 골은 -2-6∅의 자갈과 니사질역으로 구성된다. 사퇴의 능선 퇴적물은 양호한 분급의 정규분포를 보인 반면에 사퇴의 기저 퇴적물은 불량한 분급과 주로 자갈퇴적물에 소량의 세립 퇴적물이 혼합된 양(+)의 왜도를 나타낸다. 사퇴의 중심부 퇴적물은 소량의 잔자갈의 혼합된 음(-)의 왜도를 보인다. 1997-2021년 동안 장안사퇴의 퇴적물은 전반적으로 0.5∅정도 조립해진 것으로 보이며, 겨울철 고파랑의 영향으로 세립질 퇴적물이 제거되었거나 해사채취 시 부유사의 제거로 설명할 수 있다. 표층퇴적물의 공간분포 양상을 미루어 볼 때 잔류 자갈 위에 30 m에 달하는 사퇴 본체가 놓인 것으로 추정된다. 사퇴 비대칭성, 기저면의 노출과 재동이 심한 잔류 자갈의 존재는 장안사퇴가 퇴적물 공급이 충분하지 않음을, 따라서 침식 상태에 놓여 있음을 시사한다.
