당진 신암사 금동여래좌상의 표면특성 분석과 비파괴 정밀진단을 통한 제작기술 해석 (Interpretation of Making Techniques through Surface Characteristic Analysis and Non-destructive Diagnosis for the Gilt-bronze Seated Buddha in Dangjin Sinamsa Temple, Korea)

  • 당진 신암사는 고려 후기에 창건된 사찰이며, 경내의 극락전에는 금동여래좌상이 봉안되어 있다. 이 불상의 개금층은 박락과 광택이 저하되는 등 여러 손상이 발생하였다. 이 연구에서는 재료학적 분석과 비파괴 진단을 통해 불상의 내부와 외부에 대한 보존상태를 정밀 검토하였으며, 이를 근거로 제작기법을 해석하였다. 이 결과, 개금층은 순금을 사용한 것으로 판단되며 안료에서 흑색은 먹, 녹색은 석록과 염화동 및 동록 등으로, 적색은 연단 또는 진사가 사용된 것으로 추정된다. 손상도 평가 결과, 개금층의 벗겨짐, 균열, 탈락 및 박리 등이 확인되나 보존상태는 비교적 건전하다. 그러나 개금층의 광택은 유지부에 비해 저하부가 더 넓게 산출된다. 이 불상에 대한 초음파 속도측정 결과 1,230~3,987(평균 2,608)m/s로 비교적 넓은 범위를 보였으며, 적외선 열화상으로 박리는 확인되지 않았고 특별한 접합흔도 발견되지 않는다. 내시경 검사에서는 내부 소지금속의 부식과 생물학적 피해가 다소 관찰되었으며, 봉안된 복장물이 확인되었다. 이를 종합하여 제작기법을 검토한 결과, 이 금동여래좌상은 통주조로 제작하였으며 주형을 거꾸로 뒤집어 용탕을 주입한 것으로 판단된다.

체외순환에서 박동 혈류와 비박동 혈류가 관상동맥 혈류양상에 미치는 영향에 대한 비교 (Comparison of Pulsatile and Non-Pulsatile Extracorporeal Circulation on the Pattern of Coronary Artery Blood Flow)

  • 배경: 심정지와 같은 위급상황에서 관상동맥의 혈류를 유지하는 것은 심장근육의 보존과 회복 및 환자의 생명을 보존하는 데 중요하다. 최근 들어 Extra-Corporeal Life Support System (ECLS)의 기계식 순환장치의 사용으로 심정지 환자의 생명을 보존하고자 하는 노력이 시도되고 있다 본 연구는 체외순환 모델에서 박동성 혈류와 비박동성 혈류가 관상동맥의 혈류량 및 심근에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 실험은 $25\~35Kg$의 돼지 14마리를 각각 7마리씩 두 군으로 나누어 진행하였다. 제 1군은 비박동성 혈류 펌프인 원심펌프를 사용하였고 제2군은 이중 박동형 펌프를 사용하였다. 체외순환은 우심방에서 상행대동맥으로 심폐바이패스를 하고, 9V의 전기 충격으로 심실세동을 만들었다. 체외순환은 2시간 동안 유지하였으며, 펌프량은 두 군 모두 2 L/min로 유지하였다. 초음파를 이용한 관상동맥 혈류 측정장치를 이용하여 좌전하행지의 관상동맥 관류량을 펌프 시작 전(기초치)과 시작 후 20분마다 측정하였다. 또한 관상 정맥동의 혈액을 펌프 시작 전(기초치)과 시작 후 1시간, 2시간에 채취하여 두 군간의 심근효소의 차이와 대사물질의 차이를 비교하였다. 각 관찰지표의 군간 비교는 STATISTICA 통계프로그램(Version 6.0)의 Mann-Whitney U test를 이용하였고 통계적 유의수준은 p값이 0.05 이하인 경우로 하였다. 결과: 관상동맥의 저항지수는 제 2군에서 낮게 나타났으며, 펌프 구동 후 40분, 80분, 100분, 120분에서 통계적으로 의미 있게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 관상동맥의 평균 혈류 속도는 제 2군에서 펌프 구동 후 20분부터 의미 있게 높게 유지되었다(p<0.05). 관상동맥의 혈류량도 제2군에서 높게 유지되었으며, 펌프 구동 후 40분, 60분, 100분, 120분에서 통계적으로 의미 있는 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 그러나, 관상정맥동의 혈액학적 검사에서는 두 군간에 차이가 없었다. 결론: 박동성 혈류는 비박동성 혈류보다 좌전하행지 관상동맥의 저항지수를 낮추고, 관상동맥의 관류속도를 빠르게 하여, 관상동맥으로의 혈류량을 높게 유지하였다.

익산 미륵사지석탑 화강암의 풍화에 의한 물리화학적 특성변화 (Physicochemical Variation by Weathering Degree of Granite from the Mireuksaji Temple Stone Pagoda, Iksan, Korea)

  • 미륵사지석탑의 보존처리를 위해 화강암의 풍화에 따른 물리적 성능시험과 화학적 조성변화를 검토하였다. 자연 풍화된 미륵산 화강암을 수습하여 풍화상태에 따른 분류기준과 암석해머시험에 따라 강도를 구분하였다. 비 파괴 암석해머시험 강도와 초음파 속도를 비교한 결과, 각각의 강도 측정값은 비례하였다. 시료의 흡수율은 1.68~0.20%이며 신선한 F-형은 자연 포화되지 않았고 WW-형은 자연 포화되었으나 시간이 많이 소요되었다. 흡수율은 풍화정도에 따라 SW-형, MW-형, HW-형으로 가며 순차적으로 증가했다. CW-형은 풍화단계 시료들 중에서 흡수현상이 현저하게 달랐다. 염색시험에서는 F-형과 WW-형의 경우 정장석만이 염색되었고, SW-형과 MW-형에서는 사장석의 염색이 특징적이었으며 HW-형과 CW-형은 석영의 균열부로 염색이 확장되었다. 분류기준에 따른 조암광물의 변화는 3등급으로 대별할 수 있다. XRD 분석결과, 조암광물 중 알바이트가 현저하게 감소되었다. SEMEDX로 조암광물 중 흑운모, 사장석, 정장석을 구성하는 성분의 평균변화를 관찰한 결과, 신선한 시료에 비하여 풍화도가 높은 시료에서 흑운모는 $Al_2O_3$, $K_2O$, $Na_2O$는 증가하고 CaO, MgO는 감소하였으며, 사장석은 CaO, $K_2O$는 감소하고 $Na_2O$는 증가하였다. 정장석은 $Al_2O_3$가 약간 증가했고 $K_2O$, $Na_2O$는 감소되었다. 풍화단계별 시료를 파쇄하여 양이온의 용출 정도를 검토한 결과, 조암광물 구성성분 중 CaO, $Na_2O$, $K_2O$, MgO가 화학적 변화도가 높았으며, 풍화도 WW-형과 CW-형에서 양이온의 변화도가 높게 나타났다. 이 결과는 익산 미륵사지석탑을 구성하는 부재의 보존처리 방안을 수립하는데 중요한 자료로 이용될 것이다.

연직풍에 따른 해양성 에어러솔 수 농도 변동에 관한 연구 (The Fluctuation of Marine Aerosol Number Concentrations Related with Vertical Winds)

  • 해양에서 발달하는 강수시스템의 연직풍에 따라 변동하는 해양성 에어러솔의 입경별 특성을 알아보기 위하여 마라도에서 남서쪽으로 419 km 지점에 위치한 이어도 해양종합과학기지에서 2009년 6월 8일부터 22일까지 에어러솔수 농도와 연직풍 관측을 실시하였다. 에어러솔 수 농도와 연직풍은 레이저입자계수기와 초음파 3차원 풍향 풍속계를 이용하였으며, 지상일기도, NCEP/NCAR 재분석자료, 라디오존데 자료를 이용하여 종관상태를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 전체적으로 1.0 ${\mu}m$ 이상의 크기의 에어러솔 수 농도 분포가 강수 중에 크게 변동하였으며, 하강류에서 상승류로 연직풍이 변함에 따라 크게 증가하였다. 강수 중에는 큰 입자(1.0 ${\mu}m$ 이상)의 에어러솔 수 농도가 약 5배 증가하였고, 이때 상승류가 약 0.4 $ms^{-1}$로 나타났다. 또한 축적모드(1.0 ${\mu}m$ 미만)와 큰 입자(1.0 ${\mu}m$ 이상)의 에어러솔 수 농도는 강수 중과 비교하여 약 45%와 92%가 제거되었다. 이는 독립된 해양지역에서의 큰 입자(1.0 ${\mu}m$ 이상) 에어러솔 수 농도 증가는 수평풍 보다는 상승류에 의해 크게 영향을 받고, 강수에 의한 세정효과도 나타났다. 따라서 해양경계층 내 에어러솔의 생성 및 발달 메커니즘에 상승류의 영향이 크게 기인함을 알 수 있었다.

황산염 및 알칼리계의 혼합 활성화제에 대한 고로슬래그미분말의 역학적 특성 (Mechanical Properties of Granulated Ground Blast Furnace Slag on Blended Activator of Sulfate and Alkali)

  • 본 연구는 혼합 활성화제에 의한 알칼리 활성화 슬래그 시멘트(AASC)의 역학적 특성에 관한 연구이다. 사용된 활성화제는 황산칼슘($CaSO_4$, 이하 CS), 황산나트륨($Na_2SO_4$, 이하 SS) 및 수산화나트륨(NaOH)이다. 황산염은 슬래그 중량의 2.5, 5.0, 7.5 및 10.0%로 치환하여 사용하였으며, NaOH는 2M 및 4M 농도의 수용액으로 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 황산염(CS 및 SS) 치환율에 따른 배합(4가지 배합)과 2M 및 4M의 각각의 NaOH 수용액에 치환된 황산염을 혼합하여 시험체를 제작하였다. 시험체는 총 24가지의 배합에 따라 페이스트로 제작되었으며, 물-결합재 비는 0.5로 하였다. 경화된 시험체에 대해서 압축강도, 휨강도, 초음파속도(UPV), 흡수율 및 XRD 분석을 수행하였다. CS의 활성화제를 사용한 경우는 7.5% CS 치환율, 2M NaOH 수용액 + 5.0% CS 치환율 및 4M NaOH 수용액 + 5.0% CS 치환율의 시험체에서 최고의 압축강도를 나타내었다. 또한, SS의 활성화제를 사용한 경우는 10.0% SS 치환율, 2M NaOH + 7.5% SS 치환율 및 4M NaOH + 2.5% SS 치환율에서 최고의 압축강도 발현을 나타내었다. 휨강도, UPV 및 흡수율은 압축강도 발현 결과와 유사한 경향을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었으며, XRD 분석결과 시험체 내에 생성된 반응물질은 ettringite, CSH 및 실리케이트계 수화물인 것으로 나타났다. AASC에서 황산염과 NaOH의 혼합 사용은 황산염의 단독 사용의 경우와 비교하여 일정 수준의 농도 범위에서 강도를 향상시키고 조직을 치밀화 시키는 등의 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다.

천안 성불사 마애석가삼존과 16나한상의 손상도 및 안정성 평가 (Stability and Damage Evaluation of the Buddha Triad and 16 Rock-Carved Arhat Statues at Seongbulsa Temple in Cheonan, Korea)

  • 천안 성불사 마애불은 16나한이 모두 남아있는 국내의 유일한 예로 학술적 가치가 아주 높으나 심하게 손상되어 있어, 보존 방안을 검토하기 위해 디지털 기록화와 정밀 진단을 바탕으로 안정성을 평가하였다. 이 결과, 삼존불은 비슷한 규모이나 나한상은 매우 다양한 크기를 보였으며, 권속 2구는 나한상에 비해 크다. 추정공양상은 나한상과 유사하며, 대부분의 존상은 형상과 제작기법이 잘 드러난다. 마애불이 새겨진 암반은 편리 구조가 뚜렷한 호상편마암으로, 석영과 장석으로 이루어진 우백대와 흑운모로 구성된 우흑대가 교호하며 미량의 백운모를 포함한다. 이 마애불에는 물리적 풍화와 변색 및 생물 오염이 복합적으로 작용하고 있으며, 주암면에는 미세 균열 1,131cm, 박리상 균열 1,061cm, 구조상 균열 1,456cm, 절리 1,277cm로 나타났다. 손상도 평가 결과, 절리 3.6(균열지수), 박리 5.2%, 박락 1.7%, 탈락 0.1%로 산출되었다. 특히 생물학적 풍화가 심하여 주암면의 생물피도는 9단계와 10단계가 전체 면적의 57.5%를 차지하였고, 5~8단계도 22.3%로 아주 높았다. 표면 변색 요인은 Fe과 Ca 및 S로 암갈색과 백색으로 나타나고 흑화 오염물에서는 다량의 C가 검출되며, 모든 영역에서 손상 가중치가 매우 높다. 마애불 암반에서는 서로 다른 방향을 갖는 불연속면이 확인되었다. 암반의 파괴유형 분석 결과, 평면 파괴와 전도 파괴의 가능성이 있으며 쐐기 파괴는 발생하기 어려운 것으로 나타났다. 주암면의 초음파 속도는 평균 2,463m/s이며, 절리대가 많은 좌측면 하부가 상대적으로 낮아 상당히 풍화된 단계(HW)와 완전히 풍화된 단계(CW)가 집중 분포하는 취약한 물성을 보였다. 이 마애불에서는 미세 균열의 14.9%와 박리상 균열의 58.9% 정도에서 보존처리가 요구된다. 또한 마애불의 보존 환경을 개선할 수 있는 수목 정비와 암반의 구배를 고려한 배수 시설 및 지반 정비가 필요하며, 장기적인 보존 관리를 위해 보호 시설도 검토해야 할 것이다.

진주 정촌면 백악기 공룡·익룡발자국 화석산지의 재질특성 및 보존 방안 연구 (Study on Material Characteristics and Conservation Methods for Tracksite of Cretaceous Dinosaurs and Pterosaurs of Jeongchon area in Jinju, Korea)

  • 2017년 말 뿌리일반산업단지 조성과정에서 발견된 진주 정촌면 백악기 공룡·익룡발자국 화석산지는 다양한 종류의 공룡과 익룡, 동물의 흔적화석이 높은 밀집도로 보존되어 고생물학적 가치가 높은 자연유산이다. 이 연구에서는 화석산지의 현장조사를 통해 절리, 균열, 박리, 박락, 세편화 등 물리적 풍화가 발생하여 있음을 확인하고, 손상을 저감하기 위한 보존과학적 기초 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 발굴 후 확인된 8개의 층준 중 수각류 발자국 화석이 다량 산출된 Level 3 층준과 익룡 발자국 화석이 산출된 Level 4 층준의 암석을 수습하여 재질분석 및 강화제와 접착제의 효과 검증 평가를 수행하였다. 이 결과, Level 3 층준의 암석은 암회색 실트암, Level 4의 암석은 암회색 셰일로 구성되어 있었으며 이들은 방해석을 다량 함유한 가운데 석영, 사장석, 운모, 알칼리장석, 기타 점토광물로 이루어져 외부 환경 하에서 강우에 따른 손상 가능성이 높을 것으로 판단된다. 수습시료를 공시체로 제작하여 미처리, 강화제 처리, 팽윤저지제 처리, 접착제 처리의 네 그룹으로 나누어 인공풍화 실험을 수행한 결과, 강화제와 팽윤저지제는 처리 직후에는 효과를 보였으나 동결-융해 환경 하에서는 저지효과를 보이지 못하는 것으로 해석되었다. 접착제는 동결-융해 조건 하에서도 접착 효과가 유지되는 모습을 보였다. 향후 정촌면 화석산지의 보존을 위해서는 수분의 유입 차단을 위한 임시 방책외에도 기 손상 화석의 응급 보존처리 및 보호시설 건립 등 실질적인 대처방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. To synthesize microspheres for biomedical application, "two stage shot growth method" was developed. The uniformity ratio of synthesized microspheres was always smaller than 1.05. The system based on PC-486DX was designed to acquire medical images produced by medical imaging instruments and related audio information, that is, doctors' reporting results. Input information was processed and analyzed, then the results were presented in the form of graph and animation.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms.
