Rekeying is the process of changing the encryption key of an ongoing communication. The main objective is to limit the amount of data encrypted with the same key. The IEEE 802.11 standard defines the Wired Equivalent Privacy, or WEP, encapsulation of 802.11 data frames. MAC at sender encrypts the payload (frame body and CRC) of each 802.11 frame before transmission using RC4 stream cipher. MAC at receiver decrypts and passes data to higher level protocol. WEP uses symmetric key stream cipher (RC4) where same key will be used for data encryption and decryption at the sender and the receiver. WEP is not promising with the advancement of the wireless technology existing today. We propose to use the existing information to define the security attributes. This will eliminate the steps that regenerated keys have to be sent to each other over certain period. The rekeying scheme is according to the number of bytes transmitted. Therefore, even the attacker has recorded the packets, it will be insufficient information and time for the attacker to launch the attacks as the key is not deterministic. We develop a packet simulation software for packet transmission and simulate our propose scheme. From the simulation, our propose scheme will overcome the weak WEP key attack and provide an alternative solution to wireless packet transmission. Besides that, our solution appears to be a software approach where only driver updates are needed for the wireless client and server.
본 논문에서는 스캐폴딩과 e-멘토링을 활용한 u-SM(Ubiquitous Scaffolding and Mentoring) 교수학습모형을 설계한다.
Our prediction model is based on the development of "Semantic Location Model." It embodies geometrical and topological information which can increase the efficiency in prediction and make it easy to manipulate the prediction model. Data mining is being implemented to extract the inhabitant's location patterns generated day by day. As a result, the self-learning system will be able to semantically predict the inhabitant's location in advance. This context-aware system brings about the key component of the ubiquitous computing environment. First, we explain the semantic location model and data mining methods. Then the location prediction model for the ubiquitous computing system is described in details. Finally, the prototype system is introduced to demonstrate and evaluate our prediction model.
For the possible application of monitoring or diagnosing heart sounds in an ubiquitous healthcare environment. a small and light electro-stethoscope that can be attached in human body should be exploited. With this aim, this study proposes a new style of electro-stethoscope device that is composed of four hardware modules in wearable style. For this ambulatory heart sound collecting device, the several tests must be performed to check portability and material capability for collecting heart sounds. It turned out to be that the multi-channel electro-stethoscope can detect heart sound signals well even if it is not pinpointed in the accurate stethoscope point on a heart. Consequently, our ambulatory electro-stethoscope hardware system can be applied to monitor or diagnose abnormal heart sounds in the ubiquitous healthcare system.
System management application system is one of the most interesting fields in Ubiquitous Sensor Networks. It conforms to the property of Ubiquitous Sensor Networks very well, and it is the closest application for commercial use. We have two kinds of system management technology, such as the one which is accessed by web browser at anytime, anywhere and another one which is for local accessed system. In this paper, our purpose is implementation of system management application system which provides Mesh Sensor Networks topology with IP based agent platform and system management server. Furthermore we introduce the functions used for our recent implementation and propose several future issues about system management application system.
