  • In this paper. we introduce technologies that service multimedia contents (in brief, we call it UCA (Ubiquitous Contents Access)) to end consumer that have various communication terminal on communication & broadcasting convergence environment and propose system that this technologies are applied. Also, we analyzed relative advantage and playfulness of service technology that is looked in consumer side about proposed service technology. When analyzed relative advantage and playfulness in consumer's view point, proposed communication & broadcasting convergence service model could see that is worth service that consumer can prefer.

  • In this paper, we investigated economic viability of UCA (Ubiquitous Contents Access) technologies from user adoption perspective. UCA technologies are expected to 9et embedded into media and telecom merging services. Embracing new technologies such as UCA technologies, forged through an industry convergence, means opting for a technological innovation that will have technological as well as economic and strategic implications. As such, we adopted user perspective innovation adoption theories to explore key antecedents affecting consumer acceptance of these emerging technologies. Subsequently. using QFD (Quality Function Deployment) method, the impacts of UCA technical functions on user's perceived value enhancements are estimated. The QFD analysis result indicates that the new UCA service technologies could achieve about 42% enhancement on user perceived adoption intention compared to existing digital contents service technologies. The proposed analysis framework and findings suggests significant insights for further research.

  • Since the beginning of the 21st century, the power source for the growth of our country is shifting from the 'knowledge and information'-centered business to the culture-based business attaching importance to 'creativity'. In the era of creative culture-based economy, the core resources on which the national competitive power depends can be thought to be 'cultural contents'. The current ubiquitous project, which is being promoted in our country, is characteristically placing much emphasis on building-up of the RFID-centered infrastructure so that it is poorly acknowledged by common people to whom its service is actually provided. In this study, the approach to promotion of the cultural service, to which an easy access is available as a result of combining the ubiquitous-based technology with 'cultural contents', is discussed in the 4 aspects.

  • Although wireless devices are the most suitable device for ubiquitous environment, they have restrictive capacities when using internet services than desktop environments. Therefore this research proposes a wireless internet service method that uses contents-based personalization. The existing websites can easily and promptly access desired news articles and other data through RSS-linked web contents and by the personalization method. The proposed method will make using wireless internet easier while lowering contents production costs. Moreover, personalized mobile web news contents that satisfy the preferences of users can be serviced.

  • The application that the user's contexts are continuously changed over time requires an efficient information retrieval. This paper proposes a new context-differentiated information retrieval method for an efficient ubiquitous service. This enables the rapid retrieval, because of no access to the most detail information at a time. This paper describes the retrieval method, the algorithms and the experimental results.

  • In this paper, we proceed with the design and development platform for the development of the optimized applications to take advantage of the sensing techniques of the mobile device, so that this can proactively respond to the user's needs, and can provide access to a range of services. Ubiquitous environment based smart campus is active rather than passive, university will be able to promote the true personal customizable services. Campus tours through augmented reality will support more active university life in conjunction with a variety of services to promote actively utilizing the QR Code(2-dimensional bar code). In addition, we designed to develop a mobile application that can provide such a view and post announcements such as integrated system, through interoperability with existing bachelor's administrative (legacy) system.

  • According as computer hardware became smaller and its performing power became improved due to the developed computer technology, clients demand more powerful accessibility to various information through getting the information at every time and every place. These needs led to the Ubiquitous computing technology which makes it possible to have access to a specific information regardless of clients' physical location. In this paper, we propose an approach that mobile host can get data from proper contents server by applying Contents Distributing Network to wireless network. By simulation, this paper proves that this approach can Improve performance by using contents server selection in wireless network. This research will contribute to realizing the Ubiquitous computing technology.

  • In this paper, we propose a new storage system architecture called as U-Storage (ubiquitous storage system). U-Storage allows a user to access an on-line storage with any type of information devices that are able to connect to internet. The on-line storage is virtualized to the user's information devices as a local hard disk or a memory card by our U-Storage. With devices supporting U-Storage, users can read and write their data anytime and anywhere without downloading and uploading operation.

  • Important issues emerging with the opening of the ubiquitous age are how to present ubiquitous environment and how services and access methods can be provided to users. The present research proposes a system that can provide users with useful information dynamically through intelligent multi agents in mobile environment. The system is composed of profile module, rule generation module, filtering module and service module. It was designed to find users' demands in an intelligent way based on information on users registered through the recommendation agent. We implemented an applied system and proved its performance through an experiment.
