Spark process법을 이용한 photoluminescence용 실리콘의 제조 및 특성 (Fabrication and characteristics of photoluminescing Si prepared by spark process)

  • 건식 spark 방법에 의하여 상온에서 광 발광하는 실리콘을 제작하였다. Anodically etching된 다공성 실리콘에 비하여 spark법에 의해 제조된 광 발광 peak는 520nm로 청색으로 전이되어 있었다. 또한 spark법으로 제조된 실리콘의 경우 UV 노출에 의한 광 발광력의 안정성이 매우 높게 나타났다. High resolution TEM, XRD 연구 결과를 통하여 spark법으로 제조한 실리콘은 작은 다결정성 nanocrystalline 입자가 주로 비정질 $SiO_2$에 의하여 에워 싸여져 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Bacillus sp. PY123 균주가 생성하는 수용성 황색수소의 부분 정제 및 그 안정성 (Partial Purification and Stability of a Water-soluble Yellow Pigment from Bacillus sp. PY123.)

  • For application of a yellow pigment as food additives, stability of a water-soluble yellow pigment from Bacillus sp. PY123 was investigated. The yellow pigment from Bacillus sp. PY123 was purified with pH treatment, activated carbon and silica gel column chromatography. The partial purified yellow pigment appeared only one spot on silica gel TLC after 12 evaporation and under irradiation of UV 253nm at dark room. Rf value of the pigment was measured at 0.04 and 0.12 with development of a solvent mixture (Butanol : Acetic acid : water = 4 :1:5) and a solvent mixture (Isopropanol : Ammonia : Water = 9 :1: 2), respectively, The partial purified pigment appeared a white fluorescence under UV365nm irradiation. The partial purified yellow pigment had a main peak and a minor peak on HPLC using 20mM phosphate buffer(pH 7.0) at 1ml/min flow rate. The partial purified pigment was stable at heat treatment, acidic pH, oxide-reductants and surfactants.

  • 무우 속의 매운 맛 성분을 용매추출법 ($CCl_4$,사용)으로 분리하여 RP-HPLC법에 의해 정제한 후에 관능검사에 의해 pungency test를 하고, UV spectrum분석, GC/MC 분석을 수행한 결과 4-methylthio-3-butenyl isothiocyanate 임을 확인하였다. RP-HPLC에서 mobile Phase로 70% acetonitrile을 사용하였는데, 정제된 4-methylthio-3-butenyl isothiocfanate는 단일 peak로 분리되어 나왔고 이때의 retention time은 5.2분이였다. 아울러 RP-TLC에서 Rf치는 0.9이었다.

Structural, Electrical and Optical Properties of ZnO Thin Films Grown at Various Plume-Substrate Angles by Pulsed Laser Deposition

  • ZnO thin films were grown at different plume-substrate (P-S) angles of 90$^{\circ}$ (on-axis PLD), 45$^{\circ}$ and 0$^{\circ}$ (off-axis PLD) using pulsed laser deposition. The x-ray diffraction pattern exhibiting a dominant (002) and a minor (101) peak of ZnO indicates all films were strongly c-axis oriented. By observing of (002) peak, the FWHMs of ZnO (002) peaks decreased and c-axis lattice constant approached the value of bulk ZnO as P-S angle decreased. Whereas the carrier concentration of ZnO thin film deposited at P-S angle of 90$^{\circ}$ was ~ 10$^{19}$ /cm$^{3}$, the Hall measurement of ZnO thin films deposited at P-S angles of 0$^{\circ}$ and 45$^{\circ}$ was impossible due to the decrease of the carrier concentration by the improvement of stoichiometry and crystalline quality. By decreasing P-S angle, the grain size of the films and the UV intensity investigated by photoluminescence (PL) increased and UV peak position showed red shift. The improvement of properties in ZnO thin films deposited by off-axis technique was due to the decrease of repulsive force between a substrate and the particle in plume and the relaxation of supersaturation.

한약증류액의 안정성에 관한 연구 (Studies on Stability of distilled Herbal medicine)

  • To study stability of distilled herbal medicine, we chose changes in UV spectrum, pH, conductivity, and HPLC chromatogram. Aconiti Lateralis preparata Radix and Scutellariae Radix were selected and studied. There ws no consistancy in UV spectrums of preparatons and in duration. The changes in pH and conductivity were not correlated to those in UV spectrums. HPLC chromatograms were also compared each other depending on the preparations. One interesting peak of distilled Aconiti solution was appeared at 40 min retention time which was not identified yet. Ingeneral, UV spectrum, pH, conductivity measurements are pretty poor tool to study stability of herbal medicine although HPLC analysis should be studied further.

The results were as following; The highest absorbance was found in methanol extract of Korean knotweed, while the lowest absorbance was carbon tetrachloride extract. The UV-vis. spectra of Korean knotweed colors in several solvents showed hypsochromic shift of n-π/sup */ transition with the polarity of solvent. Absorbance and peak of UV-vis. spectra of Korean knotweed colors became lower and broader by addition of metallic ion. The light stability in irradiation with xenon ]amp of the color solution with Cu were higher than those of Al and Fe. The UV-vis. spectra of Korean knotweed extracts in various pH values showed bathochromic shift under alkaline condition, and their peaks disappeared after 5 hours exposure.

Determination of isovitexin from Lespedeza cuneata using a validated HPLC-UV method

  • Isovitexin, a marker compound with various pharmacological activities, in Lespedeza cuneata, was analyzed using high performance liquid chromatography coupled with UV (HPLC/UV). There are no previous reports on using L. cuneata as the source material for the quantification of isovitexin. In this study, we developed an optimized method using HPLC-UV analysis, which was validated using various parameters. Our method demonstrated high specificity, and good separation of the chromatographic peak was achieved. Parameters such as linearity (r2≥0.9997), precision, and accuracy indicated that our proposed analytical method had good reliability and sensitivity. These results demonstrate the utility and convenience of our method for rapidly quantifying isovitexin in L. cuneata extracts.

참조기 천연색소의 분리 및 판별법에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Separation and Discrimination of the Natural Yellow Pigment on Croaker)

  • 참조기 추출색소를 컬럼크로마토그래피를 행하여 정제하고 UV-vis spectrophotometry를 행하여 최대 흡수파장을 검색한 결과는 모든 획분의 최대 흡수파장은 $480\;nm{\sim}420\;nm$ 사이에 공통적으로 3개의 최대흡수대역을 나타냈다. 이는 carotenoid의 일반적인 특성과 일치하였으며 파장의 대역도 유사하여 carotenoid계 색소로 추정되었다. 또한 획분 간에 파장의 대역이 큰 차이 없이 유사한 것은 구조가 비슷한 이성체이기 때문으로 추정된다. 이동상 A인 0.1 mol 암모늄아세테이트 용액 메탄올(50 : 50 v/v)과 이동상 B인 메탄올 : 메틸렌클로라이드(90 : 10 v/v)를 이용하고 처음 2분간 10%의 이동상 A로부터 시작하여 60분 동안 이동상 B로 점차 조성을 변화시켜 최종적으로 이동상 B가 되게 gradient mode 조건으로 한 이동상에서 PDA-HPLC를 이용하여 참조기 추출색소를 분석한 chromatogram은 각각 RT값이 27.54, 28.48, 29.40, 29.72. 30.06, 35.61에서 총 6개의 peak가 검출되었다. 이때의 검출파장은 약 $380{\sim}490\;nm$ 사이의 파장이었으며, RT값이 30.06와 35.61 사이에 한 개의 peak가 보였으나 그 양이 너무 적어 peak로 인식되지 않았다. 그러나 이는 UV-vis spectrophotometry를 이용한 추출색소의 최대 흡광도 대역과 거의 일치하여 색소의 조성은 총 7개의 성분인 것으로 사료된다. 본 실험의 결과 참조기 추출색소의 분석을 위한 최적파장은 450 nm인 것으로 사료된다. 이동상 B인 메탄올 : 메틸렌클로라이드(90 : 10 v/v)을 이용하여 isocratic made로 한 이동상의 조건으로 PDA-HPLC를 이용하여 참조기 추출색소를 분석한 chromatogram은 각각 RT값이 3.27, 7.69, 20.92에서 총 3개의 peak가 검출되었고, 이때의 검출파장은 약 $380{\sim}490\;nm$ 사이의 파장으로서 gradient mode로 한 이동상의 조건과 일치하였다. 또한 RT값이 3.27의 peak에서 가장 많은 색소가 검출되었다. 그러나 gradient mode로 한 이동상의 조건에서 7개의 peak가 검출되었고 isocratic mode로 한 이동상의 조건에서는 3개의 peak가 검출된 것으로 보아 정성적으로는 gradient mode로 한 이동상의 조건이 더 적합한 것으로 사료된다. 또한, PDA-HPLC를 이용한 참조기와 수조기의 색소성분을 비교한 결과, 수조기와 참조기에서 검출되는 peak중 각각의 3개의 peak는 유사한 RT값을 보였으나, 참조기 및 수조기의 각각 1개의 peak는 서로 다른 RT값을 보였으며 참조기 성분의 peak중 RT = 31.02는 수조기 성분에서는 발견되지 않아, 이 성분은 참조기 성분과 연관성이 클 것으로 사료된다.

  • Iron-doped LiNbO$_3$ crystals were grown by floating zone(FZ) method with different [Li]/[Nb] ratio in order to investigate doping effects of transition metal impurity in LiNbO$_3$ crystal. The grown crystals were analyized edge in UV/VIS/IR spectrometry and EPMA(electron probe micro-analysis). The absorption edge in UV-VIS region and OH-absorption peak in IR region were investigated. The change of Fe concentration along the solidification direction was also investigated
