러빙배향된 액정셀에 대한 자외선 조사효과 (Effects of UV Irradation on the Alignment of Liquid Crystal)

  • Liquid crystal alignments on a rubbed polyimide layer were investigated by using optical transmission method. Using this technique, we also studied the pretilt angle of the polymer molecules near the surface of a side-chain polymer layer as a function of the rubbing strength. In particular, we obtained the optical characteristics of liquid crystal orientations and pretilt angles for LC cell photo-aligned by UV as well after rubbing alignment. High pretilt angle of 3.84 degree was obtained on the weekly rubbed polymide layer duribg UV irradation time of 60min.

  • 토양 및 수용액조건에서와 자외선조사시의 bifenthrin의 주 분해대사산물을 확인하고 토양중 에서의 용탈을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 토양 및 수용액조건에서와 자외선조사시 bifenthrin의 일차분해산물은 2-methylbiphenyl-3-ylmethanol로 HPLC, UV, Mass 및 NMR로 확인되었으며 bifenthrin의 주 분해경로는 ester결합의 가수분해 작용으로 나타났다. 자외선 조사시 bifenthrin은 첨가농도 10,100ppm에서 24시간만에 거의 분해 소실되었으며 1,000ppm일 때는 약 80%정도 분해되었다. Soil TLC 및 column상에서 bifenthrin은 거의 용탈되지 않고 표토에 존재하였다.

  • A disposable light exposure detector kit has been developed by UV curing of a hydrogel material. The devised light exposure detector kit consisted of light sensitive structures, bottom plate, character sheet and sticky back plate. A light exposure detector kit has a serial light sensitive structures that contain various light sensitive dyes such as rhodamine and fluorescein. The light sensitive structure composed of UV curable hydrogel polymer material as a supporing material and photosensitive dye in a certain concentration. The fabrication procedure of the ligh exposure detector kit is very simple and fast due to UV curing procedure of a photopolymerizable hydrogel material such as poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether acrylate (PEGMEA) and poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) with a photosensitive dye. By the proposed fabrication method, various size and shape of a light exposure detector kit could be fabricated using a flexible elastomer mold. Due to a fast and inexpensive fabrication method, the light exposure detector kit could be use a single use for various industrial applications. According to light irradation, the light sensitive structure on a light exposure detector kit could be lose its color by decomposition of a photosensitive dye chemical in the structure. Thus the amount of the exposed light on a substrate could easily be recognised by changing color or transparency of the structure.

광화학 반응을 이용한 고도 수처리에 관한 연구 (A Study on Water Advanced Water Treatment by Photochemical Reaction)

  • The Photodegradation efficient of total organic compounds in the drinking water has been studied using the methods of photocatalytic reaction and laser beam irradation. The results are summarized as follows; 1. The photodegradation efficiency of total organic compounds shows as $50\%\;to\;80\%$ as within one hour and after this the efficiency is decreased slowly. 2. The photodegradation efficiency of total organic compounds shows as 65 to $90\%$ within 3.3min. when Nd : YAG beam is irradiated to the water layer. 3. An excellent observation of the organic compound removal efficiency gives revealed in that case of the longest wavelength of 532nm is irradiated among the three kinds of laser beam sources of 532nm, 355nm and 266nm. 4. The organic compound removal efficiency shows high in the case of UV beam irradiation in the thin layer of water. However the efficiency is not depended on the thickness of water layer severely. 5. The removal efficiency of the organic compounds in the direct irradiation shows higher than the indirect irradiation in the case of UV beam, but the efficiency is not depended on the direction of irradiation in the case of Nd : YAG beam irradiation.

TiO2 광촉매를 이용한 CO제거 공정특성 (Characteristics of CO Removal Process Using TiO2 Photocatalyst)

  • 관상의 광촉매 반응기에서 Pt가 담지된 $TiO_2$ 광촉매를 사용한 CO 전환 반응에 의해 CO를 제거하는 광촉매 공정에 대해 고찰하였다. $TiO_2$ 촉매에 Pt를 담지하는 방법, CO를 포함한 기체흐름속도, 기체흐름에 포함된 CO의 농도 그리고 기체의 수분함량이 CO를 $CO_2$로 전환하는 반응의 전환율에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. Pt/$TiO_2$ 광촉매가 관의 내부에 코팅된 관상광촉매 반응기에서 진행된 실험결과 기체의 흐름속도 범위가 0.01~0.25 m/s, CO의 농도가 20~100 ppm 그리고 기체의 상대습도가 20~40%의 범위에서 CO는 UV의 조사 조건에서 거의 100% 정도 제거될 수 있었다. 기체흐름에 포함된 CO의 전환율은 기체의 흐름속도가 증가할수록 그리고 포함된 CO의 농도가 증가할수록 점점 감소하였다. 기체 흐름에 포함된 수분은 OH 라디칼을 형성함으로써 CO의 제거를 촉진할 수 있었다.
