XML을 이용한 UML 기반 시험 산출물의 추적 (Traceability of UML Based Test Artifacts Using XML)

  • 추적성 개념은 모델 중심의 개발에서만이 아니라 테스트를 위하여 매우 중요한 요소이다. 어떤 기능을 중심으로 높은 추상수준에서부터 낮은 수준의 프로그램까지 수직적인 추적은 모델로부터 테스트와 디버깅 단계에 이르기까지 시스템을 잘 관리할 수 있게 한다. 또한 테스트 단계에서 발견한 결함에 대한 오류를 추적할 때 발생하는 단계별 추상 수준의 분리를 추적가능성으로 극복하게 한다. 이 논문에서는 XML을 기반으로 모델과 시험사례 그리고 소스코드를 수직적으로 추적하여 더욱 엄격한 테스트가 되는 방법을 제안한다. 실험을 통하여 추적이란 개념이 어떻게 작동하고 오류 부분을 찾아내는지 보이며 구체적인 사례를 이용하여 방법을 소개한다.

원자력발전소 적용 고밀도 폴리에틸렌 배관의 맞대기 융착절차 및 검증절차 분석 (Butt-fusing Procedures and Qualifications of High Density Polyethylene Pipe for Nuclear Power Plant Application)

  • In nuclear power plants, lined carbon steel pipes or PCCPs (pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipes) have been widely used for sea water transport systems. However, de-bonding of linings and oxidation of PCCP could make problems in aged NPPs (nuclear power plants). Recently at several NPPs in the United States, the PCCPs or lined carbon steel pipes of the sea water or raw water system have been replaced with HDPE (high density polyethylene) pipes, which have outstanding resistance to oxidation and seismic loading. ASME B&PV Code committee developed Code Case N-755, which describes rules for the construction of buried Safety Class 3 polyethylene pressure piping systems. Although US NRC permitted HDPE materials for Class 3 buried piping, their permission was limited to only 10-year operation because of several concerns including the quality of fusion zone of HDPE. In this study, various requirements for fusion qualification test of HDPE and some regulatory issues raised during HDPE application review in foreign NPPs are introduced.

  • This paper briefly summarizes the basic concepts and main characteristics of seismic design of New Zealand Standards(NZS) with regard to reinforced concrete(RC) structures. NZS used the concept of the capacity design and the limit state design to satisfy the requirements of serviceability and safety. Plastic mechanisms and details with respect to the limit state of safety are briefly presented in this paper. The understanding of this advanced seismic design concept will enable us to implement the basic theory of capacity design and contribute to the development of Korean seismic code in new generation,

CDMA 채널을 통한 영상 전송에 대한 연구 (A study on the image transmission through CDMA)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상정보를 효과적으로 전송할 수 있는 CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) 영상 통신 시스템에서 요구되는 영상압축기법, 가변길이 PN 코드, 이들 기법을 적용할 수 있는 두 가지 채널 모형을 제시하고 그 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 원영상을 2차원 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform)로 압축하고 변환계수를 압축률 O.84bit/pel로 최적 양자화기로 양자화시킨다. CDMA 전송을 위해 각각 5개의 채널과 4개의 채널로 구성된 채널 모델 1과 2를 채택하고 체바세프 맵과 같은 가변길이 PN코드로 대역확산시킨다. 채널 모델 l과 2에 대하여 평균 PN 코드 길이가 각각 44.4와 26.7 칩 일 때 분산이 1.75인 가우시안 잡음 환경하에서 이들 모델을 통해 수신된 영상은 송신한 영상과 시각적으로 동일함을 보였다. 따라서 모델 2가 모델 1이나 고정길이 PN 코드를 사용하는 채널 모델과 비교할때 채널 효율변에서 우수함을 보였다.

  • 최근에 임베디드 환경은 하드웨어의 비약적인 발전과 다양한 전자 제품에서의 소프트웨어 제어로 인하여 소프트웨어 분야에서 많은 변화를 겪고 있다. 이러한 환경적 변화로 인한 요구사항의 증가는 임베디드 소프트웨어의 복잡도를 높여왔고 이는 기존 개발방법의 한계를 보여주었다. 모델 기반의 개발방법은 이미 오래전 제기되었던 범용 소프트웨어 개발에서 발생했던 한계의 해결을 위하여 제시되고 지금까지 사용되어온 방법으로서 임베디드 환경에 닥친 한계의 극복을 위한 대안 중 하나로 꼽히고 있다. 이 논문에서는 이 모델 기반 개발 방법론을 임베디드 소프트웨어 적용하기 위한 모델 기반의 다이어그램 편집기와 이로부터 작성된 모델을 이용하여 자동적으로 코드를 생성하는 코드 자동생성기를 제안한다. 모델 정의에 사용된 다이어그램 편집기는 GMF를 이용하여 구현하며, 코드 자동생성기에는 임베디드 환경의 특징인 제한된 메모리와 동시적 병행성 문제를 해결하기 위한 코드 생성 기법을 추가한다. 아울러 생성된 코드의 검증을 위하여 기존의 코드를 대체하여 수행하는 방법을 사용한다.

원전 중대사고 연계 소외결말해석 전산체계에 대한 고찰 (Study on the Code System for the Off-Site Consequences Assessment of Severe Nuclear Accident)

  • 인접 국가인 일본의 후쿠시마 원전에서 극한 자연재해로 인한 중대사고가 발생하면서, 국내에서 중대사고 및 확률론적 안전성 평가 (PSA, Probabilistic Safety Assessment)에 대한 중요성이 재인식되었다. 국내에서는 원전의 소외결말을 평가하는 3단계 PSA에 대한 연구개발이 최근까지 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 국외 3단계 PSA 전산코드 중, 미국의 MACCS2 (MELCORE Accident Consequence Code System 2), 유럽의 COSYMA (COde SYstem from Maria) 그리고 일본의 OSCAAR (Off-Site Consequence Analysis code for Atmospheric Releases in reactor accidents)에 대한 간략한 분석과 미국의 MACCS2에 대한 단점 및 한계점 분석을 수행하였다. 국내 외 전문가들에 의해 공통적으로 지적되어 온 MACCS2의 한계점은 다수호기사고와 사용후핵연료 저장조로부터의 방출 모사의 불가능, 그리고 대기확산모델을 단순 가우시안 플륨모델을 기본으로 한다는 것이며, 이중 일부는 MACCS2업데이트 버전을 통해 개선되어 왔다. Food chain 모델의 모사의 제한, 해양 및 수계 확산모델의 부재, 제한된 범위의 경제영향평가 등 또한 개선되어야 할 사항이다. 기술보고의 결과는 국내 3단계 PSA 관련 기술 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Isolation Enhancement of Internal MIMO Antenna

  • In this paper, we proposed and evaluated the performance of an internal MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antenna for multiband operations including LTE (Long Term Evolution) 700/2300/2500. And to enhance the isolation characteristic, a parasitic element is designed and applied. The proposed single antenna has a volume of $60mm(W){\times}38mm(L)$, and the ground plane is $60mm(W){\times}100mm(L)$. The parasitic element used for enhancing the isolation of the antenna was designed with a copper on FR4 sized $60mm(W){\times}20mm(L){\times}1.6mm(H)$, and the pattern size is $60mm(W){\times}15mm(L)$. Simulated and measured results showed that LTE 700/2300/2500, DCS (Digital Cellular Service: 1710-1880MHz), K-PCS (Korea-Personal Communication Service: 1750-1870MHz), US-PCS (US-Personal Communication Service: 1850-1990MHz), WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access: 1920-2170MHz), Wibro (2300-2390MHz), Bluetooth (2400-2483MHz), WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network: 2400-2483.5MHz), US-WiMAX (US-World interoperability for Microwave Access: 2400-2590MHz) frequency bands were covered with $S_{11}$ values less than -6dB (VSWR < 3). Simulated and measured results on $S_{21}$ at 730MHz for the firstly designed MIMO antenna showed -5.50dB and -5.65dB, respectively. When with the parasitic element at the separated ground plane to enhance the isolation performance, -10.33dB and -12.90dB are obtained for the simulation and measurement, so the enhanced isolation performance at lower frequency band (617-867MHz) is confirmed.

Quantifying the seismic resilience of two tall buildings designed using Chinese and US Codes

  • With ongoing development of earthquake engineering research and the lessons learnt from a series of strong earthquakes, the seismic design concept of "resilience" has received much attention. Resilience describes the capability of a structure or a city to recover rapidly after earthquakes or other disasters. As one of the main features of urban constructions, tall buildings have greater impact on the sustainability and resilience of major cities. Therefore, it is important and timely to quantify their seismic resilience. In this work, a quantitative comparison of the seismic resilience of two tall buildings designed according to the Chinese and US seismic design codes was conducted. The prototype building, originally designed according to the US code as part of the Tall Building Initiative (TBI) Project, was redesigned in this work according to the Chinese codes under the same design conditions. Two refined nonlinear finite element (FE) models were established for both cases and their seismic responses were evaluated at different earthquake intensities, including the service level earthquake (SLE), the design-based earthquake (DBE) and the maximum considered earthquake (MCE). In addition, the collapse fragility functions of these two building models were established through incremental dynamic analysis (IDA). Based on the numerical results, the seismic resilience of both models was quantified and compared using the new-generation seismic performance assessment method proposed by FEMA P-58. The outcomes of this study indicate that the seismic resilience of the building according to the Chinese design is slightly better than that according to the US design. The conclusions drawn from this research are expected to guide further in-depth studies on improving the seismic resilience of tall buildings.

Overview of Food Safety Issues in School Foodservice Operations in the United States

  • Millions people in the US suffer from foodborne illnesses each year. In the US, multiple government agencies work separately or together to ensure the nation's food safety for different audiences. FDA plays a key role in ensuring food safety in foodservice operations by providing the Food Code. School foodservice operations must follow the FDA guidelines on food safety and make sure that foods produced in school foodservice are safe. Despite the continuous efforts, school foodservice operations were responsible for numerous foodborne outbreaks. Currently, school foodservice operations serve younger children (<5 years) and children with medical conditions which make the food safety extremely important. There are many programs that foodservice operators can use to train and educate their employees. ServSafe$\^$ⓡ/tate or local food safety education programs, Serving It Safe, and HACCP workshop are common programs that can be used to train their staff. HACCP is a preventative program that can prevent foodborne illnesses before they occur. Although there are many benefits of utilizing HACCP and training programs, a majority school foodservice directors and managers still did not implement HACCP nor perceived their food safety training is adequate. Most reasons why not implementing HACCP program are lack of trained personnel, time, and financial resources in the school foodservice systems. The gap between what people know and what people do is another challenge identified as an obstacle food safety programs. Despite safe food sources in the US, continuous training is necessary to remove human errors and ensure food safety in the school foodservice systems. Future research is recommended to reduce gap between food safety knowledge and behavior. Foodservice operators and researchers may apply the systems developed in the US to their food systems.

An Evaluation Method for Tornado Missile Strike Probability with Stochastic Correlation

  • An efficient evaluation method for the probability of a tornado missile strike without using the Monte Carlo method is proposed in this paper. A major part of the proposed probability evaluation is based on numerical results computed using an in-house code, Tornado-borne missile analysis code, which enables us to evaluate the liftoff and flight behaviors of unconstrained objects on the ground driven by a tornado. Using the Tornado-borne missile analysis code, we can obtain a stochastic correlation between local wind speed and flight distance of each object, and this stochastic correlation is used to evaluate the conditional strike probability, $Q_V(r)$, of a missile located at position r, where the local wind speed is V. In contrast, the annual exceedance probability of local wind speed, which can be computed using a tornado hazard analysis code, is used to derive the probability density function, p(V). Then, we finally obtain the annual probability of tornado missile strike on a structure with the convolutional integration of product of $Q_V(r)$ and p(V) over V. The evaluation method is applied to a simple problem to qualitatively confirm the validity, and to quantitatively verify the results for two extreme cases in which an object is located just in the vicinity of or far away from the structure.
