This study conducted aeromechanics modeling and structural load analyses of Tilt Rotor Aeroacoustic Model (TRAM), a 25% scaled V-22 tiltrotor model used in wind tunnel tests. A rotorcraft comprehensive analysis code, CAMRAD II, was used. Analysis results of this study in low-speed forward flights were compared with DNW test and previous analysis results. Blade flap bending moments were in good agreement with measured data. Mean values and oscillatory loads for lead-lag bending and torsion moments were slightly different from measured data. However, when mean values were removed, results of structural loads for one rotor revolution were moderately compared with wind tunnel tests and previous analyses. Total forces and half peak-to-peak forces of the pitch link reasonably well matched with previous analysis results and measured data. Finally, harmonic magnitudes of blade structural loads were investigated.

This study is part of the research on fire-resistant materials to prepare for changing fire behavior, oyster shell and egg shell, which are natural calcium carbonate materials, were substituted as fine aggregates. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the strength and fire resistance performance according to the substitution rate, and to provide data for use as fire resistance material. Oyster shells and egg shells were substituted with 10~50 % of the fine aggregate, respectively, and tested for strength and Simplified heating according to the KS test method. Although the strength of OS was measured to be higher than that of ES, the backside temperature was also measured to be higher. As a result, it is recommended to use fireproof boards with OS where strength performance is required, such as explosive fires, Where high fire resistance performance is required, such as high-temperature fires over 1000 ℃, fireproof boards with ES can be selected according to the application.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical utility of ultrafast dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE)-MRI compared to conventional DCE-MRI by studying lesion conspicuity and size according to the level of background parenchymal enhancement (BPE). Materials and Methods: This study included 360 women (median age, 54 years; range, 26-82 years) with 361 who had undergone breast MRI, including both ultrafast and conventional DCE-MRI before surgery, between January and December 2017. Conspicuity was evaluated using a five-point score. Size was measured as the single maximal diameter. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to compare median conspicuity score. To identify factors associated with conspicuity, multivariable logistic regression was performed. Absolute agreement between size at MRI and histopathologic examination was assessed using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Results: The median conspicuity scores were 5 at both scans, but the interquartile ranges were significantly different (5-5 at ultrafast vs. 4-5 at conventional, p < 0.001). Premenopausal status (odds ratio [OR] = 2.2, p = 0.048), non-mass enhancement (OR = 4.1, p = 0.001), moderate to marked BPE (OR = 7.5, p < 0.001), and shorter time to enhancement (OR = 0.9, p = 0.043) were independently associated with better conspicuity at ultrafast scans. Tumor size agreement between MRI and histopathologic examination was similar for both scans (ICC = 0.66 for ultrafast vs. 0.63 for conventional). Conclusion: Ultrafast DCE-MRI could improve lesion conspicuity compared to conventional DCE-MRI, especially in women with premenopausal status, non-mass enhancement, moderate to marked BPE or short time to enhancement.
This paper proposes a spectral modeling of Korean traditional instrument, Haegeum, using cepstral analysis to naturally describe Haegeum sounds varying with time. To get a precise result of cepstral analysis, we set the frame size to 3 periods of input signal and more cepstral coefficients are used to extract formants. The performance is enhanced by flexibly controlling the cutoff frequency of bandpass filter depending on the resonances in the synthesis process of sinusoidal components and the deleting peaks remained in the residual signal. To detect the change of pitch, we divide the input frames into silence, attack, and sustain region and determine which region the current frame is involved in. Then, the proposed method readjusts the frame size according to the fundamental frequency in the case of the current frame is in attack region and corrects the extraction errors of the fundamental frequency for the frames in sustain region. With these processes, the synthesized sounds are much more similar to the originals. The evaluation result through the listening test by a Haegeum player says that the synthesized sounds are almost similar to originals (96~100 % similar to the original sounds).
Asymmetric sitting posture may cause asymmetric buttock pressure and unilateral low back pain (LBP). The purpose of this study was to compare the differences of buttock pressure between both sides, and pelvic angle (sagittal and coronal planes) during typing in a sitting position on a pressure mat (Baltube) in individuals with and without unilateral LBP. Ten subjects with unilateral LBP and ten subjects without unilateral LBP were recruited for this study. Buttock pressure was measured using a pressure mat and pelvic angles were measured using a palpation meter. The subjects performed typing in a sitting posture for 30 minutes. Pressure data were collected and averaged at initial term (from start to first minutes) and final term (last minutes of 30 minutes). Angles of pelvic tilting were measured after 30 minutes typing. Pressure asymmetry values (difference in pressure between both sides) were calculated at the initial and final terms. A two-way analysis of variance was used to compare the differences between the initial and final pressure asymmetry values in subjects with and without unilateral LBP. An independent t-test was applied to compare the pelvic tilt angles between the two groups. To compare the change of pressure from the initial term to the final term between the symptomatic and asymptomatic sides in the unilateral LBP group, a paired t-test was applied. In the unilateral LBP group, the pressure asymmetric value at the final term was significantly greater than that of the initial term (p<.05). The angle of pelvic tilting in coronal plane was significantly greater in the unilateral back pain group compared to the without unilateral LBP group (p<.05), however, there was no significant difference in the angle of pelvic tilting in the sagittal plane between the two groups (p>.05). In the unilateral LBP group, the change of pressure from the initial term to the final term was significantly less in the symptomatic side (-6.90 mmHg) than the asymptomatic side (5.10 mmHg). This asymmetric sitting posture may contribute to unilateral LBP in the sitting position. Further studies are needed to determine if asymmetric weight bearing in sitting causes unilateral LBP or if unilateral back pain causes asymmetric weight bearing, and if the correction of asymmetric weight bearing in sitting can reduce unilateral LBP.

The ultimate goal of periodontal treatment is to regenerate the lost periodontal apparatus. Many studies were performed in developing an ideal bone substitute. Anorganic bovine-derived xenograft is one of the bone substitute, which were studied and have been shown successful for decades. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect anorganic bovine-derived xenograft. Total of 20 patients, with 10 patients receiving only modified widman flap, and the other 10 receiving anorganic bovine-derived xenograft and flap surgery, were included in the study. Clinical parameters were recorded before surgery and after 6 months. The results are as follows: 1. The test group treated with anorganic bovine-derived xenograft showed reduction in periodontal pocket depth and clinical attachment level with statistically significance(p<0.001) after 6 months. The control group treated with only modified Widman flap showed reduction only in periodontal pocket depth with statistically significance(p<0.001) after 6 months. 2. Although periodontal probing depth change during 6 months did not show any significant differences between the test group and the control group, clinical attachment level gain and re-cession change showed significant differences between the two groups(p<0.05). On the basis of these results, anorganic bovine-derived xenograft improves probing depth and clinical attachment level in periodontal intrabony defects. Anorganic bovine-derived xenograft could be a predictable bone substitute in clinical use.
Introduction : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the possibility of the acellular dermal matrix (ADM) as a barrier membrane for bone regeneration, and to evaluate the osteogenic effect of ADM as a carrier system for rhBMP-2 in the rat calvarial defect model. Materials and Methods: An 8-mm, calvarial, critical-size osteotomy defect was created in each of 60 male Spraque-Dawley rats(weight $250{\sim}300g$). Three groups of 20 animals, each received either rhBMP-2(0.025mg/ml) in an ADM carrier, ADM only, or negative surgical control. And each group was divided into 2- and 8-weeks healing intervals. The groups were evaluated by histologic and histomorphometric parameters(10 animals/group/healing intervals). Data were expressed as $means{\pm}standard$ deviations($m{\pm}SD$). Comparisons between experimental and control groups were made using two-way ANOVA and post hoc t-test. Comparisons between 2 weeks and 8 weeks were made using paired t-test. The level of statistical difference was defined as P< 0.05. Results : The ADM group and rhBMP-2/ADM group results in enhanced local bone formation in the rat calvarial defect at both 2 and 8 weeks. The amount of defect closure and new bone formation were significantly greater in the rhBMP-2/ADM group relative to ADM group(P<0.05). At 8 weeks, the majority of ADM in the defect was contracted, and integrated with surrounding host tissues. In addition, host cell infiltration and neovascularization of the ADM in the absence of an inflammatory response were observed, and the newly formed bone around ADM showed a continuous remodeling and consolidation. Conclusion : The results of the present study indicated that ADM may be used as a barrier membrane for bone regeneration and that may be employed as a delivery system for BMPs.

There have been many studies on subject tests for 3D contents using 3D glasses, but there is a limited research for 3D contents using autostereoscopic display. In this study, we investigated to assess usability of electroencephalogram (EEG) as an objective evaluation for 3D contents with different quality using autosteroscopic display, especially for lenticular lens type. The image with optimal quality and the image with distorted quality were separately generated for autostereosopic display with lenticular lens type and displayed sequentially through lenticular lens for 26 subjects. EEG signals of 8 channels from 26 subjects exposed to those images were detected and correlation between EEG signal and the quality of 3D images were statistically evaluated to check differences between optimal and distorted 3D contents. What we found was that there was no statistical significance for a wave vibration, however b wave vibration shows statistically significant between optimal and distorted 3D contents. b wave vibration observed for the distorted 3D image was stronger than that for the optimal 3D image. This results suggest that subjects viewing the distorted 3D contents through lenticular lens experience more discomfort or fatigue than those for the optimum 3D contents, which resulting in the greater b wave activity for those watching the distorted 3D contents. In conclusion, these results confirm that electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis can be used as a tool for objective evaluation of 3D contents using autosteroscopic display with lenticular lens type.
Background and Purpose : MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) has become one of the most sensitive diagnostic tool no evaluate problems of the knee, because it enables us to identify not only osseous tissue but also soft tissues including muscle, fascia, tendon, ligament, meniscus and fat around the knee joint. Objective : To compare between MRI reading and pain, duration, physical examination in patients with pain of knee joint. Methods : 20 patients with pain of knee joint included in this study. This study researched pain-degree, duration, physical examination with pain of knee joint. Using MRI(Horizon Lx 1.0T-GE), we obtained the results. Results : 1. In the distribution of sex; Female rate was 80.0% and male rate was 20.0%. In the distribution of age, above sixty group was the largest group by each 55.0%. 2. In the distribution of MRI reading; 'Meniscus horm tear' was 70.0%, 'Osteoarthritis' was 55.5%, 'ACL partial tear' was 15.0%, 'Bone bruise at tibia, femur' was 15.0%. 3. Correlation between duration of pain and MRI reading showed that acute and subacute stage related various MRI reading, that chronic stage related 'Osteoarthritis' and 'Meniscus horn tear' by each 69.2%, 92.3%. 4. Correlation between pain and MRI reading showed that severe pain(GVI) related 'ACL partial tear, PCL partial tear' by each 100%, that mild pain(GII) related 'Osteoarthritis, Meniscus horn tear' by each 70.0%, 80.0%. 5. Correlation between physical examination and MRI reading showed that Drawer test related ACL partial tear by each 60.0%, that McMurray test related 'Meniscus horn tear' by each 75.0%. 6. Correlation between effect of treatment and MRI reading showed that 'Osteoarthritis, Meniscus horn tear' related good effect, that ACL partial tear related poor effect. Conclusions : These results suggest that acute and sever pain relate 'ACL partial tear, PCL partial tear', that chronic and mild pain related 'Osteoarthritis, Meniscus horn tear'. So it is responsibility to use MRI as a sensitive diagnostic tool in the knee problems.

Background: Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) causes a reduction in the balance of the lower extremities. Static and dynamic balance were evaluated separately to confirm the decrease in balance in patients underwent ACLR. The commonly used methods include the Biodex Balance System (BBS) for static balance and the Y balance test (YBT) for dynamic balance. No study has evaluated whether the static and dynamic balance of the involved side recovers as much as the uninvolved side one year after ACLR. Objects: The purpose of this study was to investigate the recovery of static and dynamic balance between the involved and the uninvolved sides. Methods: The BBS (overall, anteroposterior index, and mediolateral index) and YBT (anterior, posterolateral, and posteromedial) of 58 patients underwent ACLR were measured one year postoperation. Both sides of the BBS and the YBT were compared using the paired t-test. Results: All the index of the BBS showed no difference between the involved and the uninvolved sides, while all the scores of the YBT showed a significant difference in both sides. The YBT anterior result was 54.64 ± 5.62 cm in the involved side and 56.90 ± 5.41 cm in the uninvolved side (p = 0.001). The YBT posterolateral results were 90.12 ± 10.51 cm and 92.34 ± 9.85 cm (p = 0.013). The YBT posteromedial results were 93.72 ± 8.84 cm and 96.14 ± 9.37 cm (p = 0.002). Conclusion: A year after ACLR, the static balance showed no difference, while the dynamic balance showed a significant difference in the involved and the uninvolved sides. The static balance of the involved side recovered as much as the uninvolved side, but the dynamic balance did not. Therefore, dynamic balance training should be considered in the rehabilitation program for patients underwent ACLR.
