  • This paper introduces development process and results of HF & UHF band(13.56 MHz, 920 MHz) tag antennas using a single-side printing method on a PE film. The size of tag antenna is designed in the area of $80mm{\times}50mm$, little bit smaller than a credit card. The UHF tag antenna, $76mm{\times}44mm$, is located at the outside of the card size tag antenna, and the HF tag antenna, $40 mm{\times}42 mm$, is located at the center of the UHF tag antenna. The UHF and HF tag antennas are designed with consideration of coupling effects. The single-side printing method with a jumper structure without using a via is used to make a loop antenna of HF tag antenna. The reading range of UHF tag antenna is about 6m, and the reading of HF tag antenna is about 5 cm. The designed tag antennas have long enough reading ranges for both bands. The tag is applicable to logistics and authentification.

  • This paper introduces the development of HF(NFC) and UHF band(13.56 MHz, 920 MHz) tag antennas, imbedded in a box. In dual band antennas, the HF band tag can be used to inspect the box using NFC, and the UHF band tag can be used for logistics. The dielectric constant of the box material is measured and used for simulation. The Ntag213 chip manufactured by NXP is used in HF loop antennas, since NFC is possible with Ntag213. For the UHF band, the Higgs-3 chip manufactured by Alien is used. The HF tag antenna is located at the center of the UHF tag antenna, and the location of the HF tag antenna is calculated while considering coupling effects. The designed tag can be used by both the bands for the purposes of logistics and authentication.

  • In this paper, Our proposed Multipurpose Complex Card UHF band RFID small-size Tag antenna. Multi purpose Complex Card UHF band RFID small-size Tag antenna that is to minimize the low efficiency of RFID Tag Read Range that generates space limitation and a conductor surrounded by inducing fingerpring system with dual(HF, UHF) Card is presented. Our proposed UHF band RFID small-size Tag antenna is for the Multipurpose Complex Card that is mounted on the fingerpring system as well as the HF Tag. It also enables to minimize and facilitates Tag chip matching by adjusting Tapered, Meander line and Loop structure. Given the card substance properties and periphery circuit, the proposed small-size Tag antenna, in this report, is designed with PET film with size of $50{\times}15mm^2$. The RFID small-size Tag method for measurements is used by EPCglobal Static Test instrument in Anechoic Chamber, which is tested with dual Card, within the car and in wallet. It is found that Read Range is 3.8m from the EPCglobal Static Test, Maximum Read Range within the car from the field test results in 7.6m. Proposed Tag antenna is will be used in the parking control security system.

  • In this paper, a dual band antenna with the operating frequency in HF and UHF band was proposed. The antenna structure consists of three spiral turns coil in the bottom side to generate the HF frequency of 13.56 MHz. In the top of the antenna, an inverted-spiral dipole structure is used to create the UHF frequency of 922 MHz. The dual band antenna was optimized to reduce size with $80mm{\times}40mm{\times}0.8mm$ dimension. The antenna presents the omnidirectional characteristic with high gain. To validate the theoretical design, the antenna was simulated using FR-4 substrate and verified the simulation results.

  • In this paper, a dual-band high frequency (HF) and ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag antenna is presented that operates in the 13.56 MHz band as well as in the 920 MHz band. A spiral coil along the edges of the antenna substrate is designed to handle the HF band, and a novel meander open complementary split ring resonator (MOCSRR) dipole antenna is utilized to generate the UHF band. The dual-band antenna is supported by a single-feeding port for mono-chip RFID applications. The antenna is fabricated using an FR4 substrate to verify theoretical and simulation designs, and it has compact dimensions of $80mm{\times}40mm{\times}0.8mm$. The proposed antenna also has an omnidirectional characteristic with a gain of approximately 1 dBi.

  • This paper introduces development of a Military Entrance Control System using the developed military insignia UHF RFID tags. Generally, in the military entrance control system, the security identification (ID) card with HF RFID tag can be used, to increase the security level, the developed insignia UHF RFID tags are used in the enforced military entrance control system. The general metal insignias, have been worn on a hat or on the shoulder pads of a military uniforms, are simulated and developed as UHF RFID insignia tags. The military entrance control system can manage the name, rank, address (information of military personnel), time and date of entrance and the history of entrance of the security area.

  • Mobile RFID/NFC linkage technology means a provision of integrated 2 existing mobile RFID services by developing the 900MHz mobile RFID reader and the NFC reader/tag into one SoC to be put on a USIM card. In this paper, the mobile RFID related technologies that offer similar services as NFC were also analyzed to understand the potential linkage to NFC and the requirements for the linkage. In addition, the introduction of dual tag and the code system linkage suggested a linking method to maximally use the existing infrastructure and the requirement satisfaction was analyzed. Lastly, based on the analysis, the future direction for the new standard design was suggested.
