  • A finite element method based on the two-dimensional progressive failure analysis considering material nonlinearity is presented for characterizing the strength and failure of the unidirectional-fabric hybrid laminated composite joints under pin loading. The 8-node laminated shell element is incorporated in the updated Lagrangian formulation. Failure criteria including the Maximum Stress and Tsai-Wu are used in conjunction with the complete unloading stiffness degradation method. For the verification, joint tests are conducted for the specimens with two different ply-number ratios of UD composite to fabric composite. Although there are some differences depending on ply-number ratios, the finite element model using the maximum stress criterion considering nonlinear material behavior predicts the failure strength best.

  • Since Universal Design emerged as a new design paradigm for future, the strategies of implementing UD in educational setting has been continuously pursued. Many university programs in North America especially explored the possibility and shared their experiences in the international conferences. In asia, however, no attempt was tried. This presentation will share the navigation teaching modules used in a undergraduate course “Interior Environment and Human Behavior” class, its methodology of experience and data analysis, and finally educational outcome. Since UD is a basic human oriented design, the modules surely provided affluent and realistic opportunity for students to feel emotional sympathy to understand a diverse range of users and to facilitate creative design solution for them.

  • Recently released digital devices have various characteristics such as different screen sizes or different sensors embedded, according to the purpose of their use. So the device types are fragmented and the software should be independently developed for each devices with different characteristics. RRUI are being developed and standardized in progress to provide UI using user information and context information, as one way of solving the device fragmentation. In this paper, we take a look at various standards that classify and utilize user information and context information for RRUI and try to find correlations between MPEG-UD and RRUI.

영아의 애착 유형과 어머니의 애착 표상 유형에 대한 연구 (A Study on Infant Attachment Classification and Maternal Attachment Representation)

  • This study investigated intergenerational transmission from mother's attachment representation to infant's attachment pattern and the associations between maternal attachment representation and their childhood experiences. Subjects were forty 12- to 15-month-old infants and their mothers. The Adult Attachment Interview (Main & Goldwyn, 1984) was used to assess mother's attachment representation. The Strange Situation (Ainsworth, 1978) was used to classify infant's attachment relationship. Mothers were classified as autonomous (F), dismissing (Ds), preoccupied (E), or unresolved/disorganized (Ud). Infants were classified as secure (B), insecure-avoidant (A), insecure-resistant (C), or insecure-disorganized (D). Exact A/B/C/D and Ds/F/E/Ud agreement was observed in 30 of 40 dyads(75%). Maternal childhood experiences were related to maternal attachment representation.

초파리(Drosophila melanogaster)의 CdR Aminohydrolase에 관한 연구 (A Study on the CdR Aminohydrolase in Drosophila melanogaster)

  • CdR aminohydrolase의 활성을 老化와의 관련하에서 보기 위해서 초라피(Drosophila melanogaster)의 이효소의 활성을 발생단계별로 측정하여 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 1. 초파리에서 CdR이 분해되는 과정은 쥐나 생쥐와 마찬가지로 $CdR \\to UdR \\to U$임을 알수 있었다. 2. CdR-aminohydrolase외 활성은 유충과 번데기에서 검출이 불가능하였고 성체에서만 검출되었다. 3. 성체의 효소활성은 젊은 개체에 비해서 늙은 개체에서 증가를 보였다. 4. 실험의 결과는 CdR-aminohydrolase의 활성이 초파리의 老化또는 발생단계와 관련성이 있음을 시사하였다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to provide logical basis on enlargement of toilet floor space for the disabled by "ACT ON GUARANTEE OF PROMOTION OF CONVENIENCE OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, THE AGED, PREGNANT WOMEN. ETC" Revised Enforcement regulation [Asterisk 1] (2018.2.10.) and to help with making plans, designs and establishing policies by conducting experimental study with the enhanced floor area regulations. Methods: We conduct Experimental study, field work and interview for this paper. In experimental study, verification of the effective floor area was proceeded by measuring activity space for people in manual wheelchair, electric wheel chair and electric scooter and also reviewed useable area with the space expanded 0.2m both width and depth. In filed work, conducted an observation what other things (ex. sanitary equipment, hand rail and so on) can also affect the active space as well as effective floor space. In the interview, other problems and requirements that were not revealed were experimental study and observation of field work. Results : it's expected to provide better access to toilets for the disabled with the law revision of effective floor area. But, with the usage increasement of enlarged wheel chair and electric wheel chair, expanding side areas of toilet is also highly likely to be required going forward. Implications : Additional research is required on locations of exists and internal arrangement that effect the usage of toilet. It should be led to Universal design by making additional investigation and verification of the users patterns.

2-Hydroxyethylmethacrylate가 도입된 로진 변성 불포화 폴리에스테르의 합성과 그 특성 (Synthesis and Characteristics of Unsaturated Polyester Modified with Rosin Containing 2-Hydroxyethylmethacrylate)

  • 말레산 무수물 (MA)과 diethylene glycol (DEG)을 반응시켜 볼포화기가 도입된 에스테르형 디올 (UD)을 제조한 다음 이를 로진과 MA를 반응시켜 얻은 rosin maleic anhydride adduct (RMA) 또는 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA)가 도입된 RMA (RMA-HEMA)와 각각 반응시켜 rosin (UPMR) 및 RMA-HEMA 변성 불포화 폴리에스테르 (UPMRH)를 각각 제조하였다. 이를 가교제로 스티렌 또는 메틸메타아크릴레이트(MMA)로 가교시킨 후 내용매성과 인장강도 및 접착특성을 측정하였다. 가교제로 스티렌을 사용하는 경우가 MMA를 사용한 것에 비해 내용메성과 인장강도가 증가하였다. 또한 UPMRH의 경우가 UPMR에 비해 내용매성이 우수하였고 인장강도도 증가되었다. 한편 T-peel test로 측정한 계면접착력에 있어서 UPMR의 경우 가교제로 스티렌 및 MMA를 사용하는 경우는 1.61과 3.02 MPa인 반면 UPMRH의 경우는 2.32와 3.89 MPa로 HEMA가 도입됨에 따라 계면접착력이 증가되었다.

유백피 추출액을 이용한 염색 면포의 항생제 내성균주 증식 억제효능 (Effect of Ulmus Davidiana var. Japonica Nakai Extract on Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria in Dyed Cotton)

  • This research verifies stainability, super bacteria antibacterial features and antibiotic resistance of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica Nakai (UD) extract in dye cotton cloth. UD was extracted with hot water, the test cloth dyed, and then processed by mordanting treatment using $FeSO_4$ $7H_2O$, $CuSO_4$ $5H_2O$ and $Al_2(SO_4)_3$. The surface color and color fastness of the three kinds (original cloth, the cloth without mordancy and mordant cloth) were measured and the influence of dying of cotton cloth and the mordant method on the genesistasis of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), antibiotic resistant bacteria. 1. The surface color of the cotton cloth for dyeing (without and with mordancy) displayed a reddish and yellowish color. Stainability was greatest when the mordant of $FeSO_4$ $7H_2O$ was used. 2. When a mordant was not used for dyeing, the color fastness to washing, perspiration and friction of the contaminated cloth was satisfactory at 4 to 5 grade in general. 3. As for the antibiotic effect to super bacteria, the growth of germ was meaningfully suppressed both on the cloth without and with mordancy compared to the comparison cloth; in addition, the dyeing method with the biggest antibacterial impact was found to be the mordancy with the mordant of $CuSO_4$ $5H_2O$ after dyeing. The results of the experiments that involved dyeing with UD extract showed that cotton cloth processed through mordancy with the mordant of $CuSO_4$ $5H_2O$ had the biggest antibiosis to super bacteria and that processed with the mordant of $FeSO_4$ $7H_2O$ had the greatest stainability.

열수노화 조건에서 레저선박용 탄소섬유강화플라스틱의 강도변화에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Hygrothermal Ageing Effect to the Strength of CFRP Materials for Marine Leisure Boat)

  • This paper deals with the experimental study on the hygrothermal ageing effect to the strength of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) materials for marine leisure boat manufactured by vacuum assisted resin infusion method. The experiments performed consist of tensile, flexural and shear tests according to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Korean Industrial Standards (KS) test methods. Test coupons are varied from uni-directional(UD, $0^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$), Bi-Directional (BD), and Double-Bias (DB) carbon fiber fabrics in conjunction with epoxy resin. The results of tensile test show that tensile strength reduces significantly while not the same degree of reduction is observed for elasticity modulus with respect to the existence of hygrothermal ageing effect. This implies that the tensile strain induced from external load holds steady values but ultimate strength values change widely under hygrothermal ageing effect. In case of the flexural test, $0^{\circ}$ UD shows more strength reduction than $90^{\circ}$ UD while BD has reduced values in both flexural strength and elasticity modulus under hygrothermal ageing effect. It is learned that the bending strain induced from external load and ultimate strength values are reduced with respect to hygrothermal ageing effect. Shear test performed only on DB materials, and the results show marginal reduction in ultimate strength and moderate reduction in elasticity modulus. This means that the shear strain varies more than ultimate shear strength with respect to hygrothermal ageing effect. The experiment conducted in this paper clearly demonstrates the differences in material properties of the CFRP for the consideration of hygrothermal ageing effect. Findings obtained from this experimental study can serve as a fundamental input data for the realistic structural responses of marine leisure boat built in CFRP materials.
