  • In this paper, we describe ubiquitous environments and the trend of convergence that is an evolution path of. current telecommunication, and show the concept of broadband convergence network, service feature and evolution path. In order to converge wire and wireless communication, telecommunication and broadcasting, voice and data efficiently, broadband convergence network divides a network into service layer, control layer, transport layer, ubiquitous access and terminal layer. Broadband convergence network will be a network that can provide and control broadband multimedia services with QoS and security of different and customized level. Then we depict characteristics and types of broadband multimedia service, and describe the characteristic of broadband convergence network. Finally, we show ubiquitous network based on the broadband convert- gence network to provide ubiquitous service which is a future telecommunication service. We also describe requirements of ubiquitous network such as an intelligent and context based platform, convergence terminals, ubi- quitous computing devices, etc.

  • Ubiquitous information technology creates new space connected to electronic and physical space and makes new life pattern come true. Although it is expected that ubiquitous technology will lead significant changes on various life fields, relevant studies on its market needs, customer needs in social and cultural context and its necessity at organizational level have been passively carried out. What is worse, IT technology application scheme in railway field has not fully established since railway field's technology development is mainly focused on hardware compared with road and air traffic. In order to apply ubiquitous technology to railway field, therefore, it is required to identify ubiquitous technology functions which applicable to railway field and to establish ubiquitous rail system implementation scheme for end users. In this paper, we suggested implementation scheme for u-Rail which sorts railway industry by its components in order to implement service centered ubiquitous technology to each railway industry field.

  • Recently, the area of ubiquitous computing has gained a great attention both in academics and in industry. However, previous research on this area attempts the categorization in part of context and the critical success factors (CSFs) and services of ubiquitous computing unsuccessfully. The purpose of this paper is to propose a framework on ubiquitous computing, including its context, roadmap, CSFs, and services.

  • 유비쿼터스 시스템을 개발하기 위해서는 여러 전문 분야를 포괄하는 복합적 지식과 가상적 접근이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 요구를 만족시키기 위해 CAUSE(Computer-Aided Ubiquitous System Engineering)를 제안한다.

  • In this paper, we defined constructivism and ontology theory and associate it in ubiquitous learning. The typical ubiquitous learning involving the Context Aware Intelligent system was presented. Also the Architecture for learning environment including the key idea and technical concept is being presented in this paper. Guided with these principles and with the advancement of information and communication technology the context-awareness based on Artificial intelligence for Location based Service for ubiquitous Learning was conceptualized.

  • I forecasted how much IT and ubiquitous technology will grow after 20 years. First of all, 1 think the goal of ubiquitous technology and relative main technology is our life. 1 will give examples of ubiquitous technology that affects travel, school and family life and how much it has changed. Lastly I will check the problems and securities in ubiquitous technology. By that time, we will have meaningful time to inspect the change of future technology.

  • Ubiquitous technology is the trend towards increasingly ubiquitous, connected computing devices in the environment, a trend being brought about by a convergence of advanced electronic - and particularly, wireless - technologies and the internet. Ubiquitous technology is pervasive in nature and unobtrusively embedded in the environment, completely connected, intuitive, effortlessly portable, and constantly available. The object of this paper is to describe the strategy plan for Ubiquitous-Urban Transit Total Information System.
