POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR A THREE-POINT FRACTIONAL BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS FOR P-LAPLACIAN WITH A PARAMETER

  • In this paper, we firstly use Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem to investigate positive solutions for the following three-point boundary value problems for p-Laplacian with a parameter $({\phi}_P(D^{\alpha}_{0}+u(t)))^{\prime}+{\lambda}f(t, u(t))=0$, 0$D^{\alpha}_{0}+u(0)=u(0)=u{\prime}{\prime}(0)=0$, $u^{\prime}(1)={\gamma}u^{\prime}(\eta)$ where ϕp(s) = |s|p−2s, p > 1, $D^{\alpha}_{0^+}$ is the Caputo's derivative, α ∈ (2, 3], η, γ ∈ (0, 1), λ > 0 is a parameter. Then we use Leggett-Williams fixed point theorem to study the existence of three positive solutions for the fractional boundary value problem $({\phi}_P(D^{\alpha}_{0}+u(t)))^{\prime}+f(t, u(t))=0$, 0$D^{\alpha}_{0}+u(0)=u(0)=u{\prime}{\prime}(0)=0$, $u^{\prime}(1)={\gamma}u^{\prime}(\eta)$ where ϕp(s) = |s|p−2s, p > 1, $D^{\alpha}_{0^+}$ is the Caputo's derivative, α ∈ (2, 3], η, γ ∈ (0, 1).

Investigation on the flexural behavior of an innovative U-shaped steel-concrete composite beam

  • Within the French CIFRE research project COMINO, an innovative type of composite beam was developed for buildings that need fire resistance with no additional supports in construction stage. The developed solution is composed of a steel U-shaped beam acting as a formwork in construction stage for a reinforced concrete part that provides the fire resistance. In the exploitation stage, the steel and the reinforced concrete are acting together as a composite beam. This paper presents the investigation made on the load bearing capacity of this new developed steel-concrete composite section. A full-scale test has been carried out at the Laboratory of Structural Engineering of the University of Luxembourg. The paper presents the configuration of the specimen, the fabrication process and the obtained test results. The beam behaved compositely and exhibited high ductility and bending resistance. The shear connection in the tension zone was effective. The beam failed by a separation between the slab and the beam at high deformations, excessive shear forces conducted to a failure of the stirrups in this zone. The test results are then compared with good agreement to analytical methods of design based on EN 1994 and design guidelines are given.

  • Let consider the following problem: find an element u(t) in a Banach space U from the equation $$ x'(t) = Ax(t) + f(t,x(t)) + \Phi_0 u(t), 0 \leq t \leq T $$ with initial and terminal conditions $$ x(0) = 0, x(T) = \phi $$ in a Banach space X where $\phi \in D(A)$. This problem is a kind of control engineering inverse problem and contains nonlinear term, so that it is difficult and interesting. Thee proof main result in this paper is based on the Fredholm property of [1] in section 3. Similar considerations of linear system have been dealt with in many references. Among these literatures, Suzuki[5] introduced this problem for heat equation with unknown spatially-varing conductivity. Nakagiri and Yamamoto[2] considered the identifiability problem, which A is a unknown operator to be identified, where the system is described by a linear retarded functional differential equation. We can also apply to determining the magnitude of the control set for approximate controllability if X is a reflexive space, i.e., we can consider whether a dense subset of X is covered by reachable set in section 4.

유헬스케어의 무선환경에 적합한 WiMAX 보안 측정 및 분석 (Measuring and Analyzing WiMAX Security adopt to Wireless Environment of U-Healthcare)

  • IT 기술에 의료기술이 접목되면서 유헬스케어 서비스에 적용한 체내삽입장치는 환자의 민감한 생체정보를 제3자에게 쉽게 유출되어 환자의 프라이버시 침해되지 않도록 무선 액세스 네트워크 구간에 높은 데이터율과 이동성을 지원하는 강한 보안이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이동성을 가지는 환자가 체내삽입장치내 환자의 생체정보를 무선 액세스 네트워크 구간에서 제3자에게 불법적으로 노출되지 않도록 무선 액세스 네트워크에 WiMAX 네트워크을 구축하여 이동 환자의 생체정보가 안전하게 송 수신될 수 있도록 테스트 베드를 구축하여 WiMAX 네트워크의 보안 성능 측정 및 평가를 수행한다. 특히, 본 논문에서는 WiMAX 보안 compliance, WiMAX MAC 상의 IPSec, MAC 계층에서 ECDH 수행 등에서 데이터 보안, MAC 제어 메시지 보안, 핸드오버 연결 지연, 프레임 손실 및 대역폭 등을 비교평가한다.

유비쿼터스 환경조형물에 대한 이용 만족도 평가 - 강남 U-STREET 미디어폴을 대상으로 - (A Study of User Satisfaction with Ubiquitous Environmental Sculptures - Focusing on the Gangnam U-STREET Media Pole -)

  • 본 연구는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 참여형 환경조형물의 이용자 만족도에 관한 연구를 통하여 앞으로 유비쿼터스 시대에 이용자들이 사용하게 될 환경조형물에 대한 만족도의 체감을 높이기 위한 사용성과 서비스, 기능성, 조형성에 대한 유비쿼터스 도시 공간 속에서의 U-환경조형물의 좀 더 발전적인 방향을 제시하고자 강남대로 U-Street에 설치되어진 U-환경조형물인 미디어 폴을 조사 대상지로 선정하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 유비쿼터스 환경에서 시작단계의 환경조형물인 미디어 폴의 부문별 만족도 중에서 서비스 만족도, 기능성 만족도, 조형성 만족도와 미디어 폴의 종합적인 만족도로 설정한 후 조사 분석하여 만족도 연구를 수립하였다. 미디어 폴의 부문별 만족도에서 서비스 만족도는 대중교통 안내도, 기능성 만족도는 거리문화의 촉매제, 조형성 만족는 '형태성', 미디어 폴의 부문별 만족도와 종합 만족도 관계에서 기능성 만족도가 가장 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 미디어 폴의 만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 요인으로 나타난 만큼 도시공간에서 U-환경조형물의 만족도의 체감을 높이기 위한 미디어 폴의 다양한 컨텐츠 개발과 사용, 편리한 기술개발, 미디어 폴의 기능성 만족도에 대한 지속적 연구와 강남의 랜드 마크가 되기 위해서는 시민들과 소통하기 위한 즐거움과 감동을 줄 수 있는 스토리가 담긴 인간 중심의 기능성 요소 개발이 중요할 것이다. 현재 유비쿼터스의 초기단계는 가로 경관으로서 자연성이 결여, 환경조형물의 외피에 대한 개발, 인간에게 감동을 줄 수 있는 스토리텔링의 부재, 기술적 측면 부족, 수익성을 낼 수 있는 다양한 컨텐츠 개발, 투자에 비해 수익성 창출의 어려움, 사회소통 매개로서의 기능 등의 문제점을 보완해야 하며, 첨단 기술만이 아니라 경제적, 사회적, 문화적 측면을 고려한 똑똑한 기술보다는 편안하고 친인간적 기술로서 공간개발과 U-환경조형물의 설치가 요구되어야 할 것이다.

Neutronic examination of the U-Mo accident tolerant fuel for VVER-1200 reactors

  • In this study, we investigated the possibility of employing accident tolerant fuel (ATF) in VVER-1200/V491 assembly without gadolinium-containing fuel rods using the Monte Carlo code Serpent 1.1.7 with ENDF/B-VII cross-section library. The analysis involves assembly design with reflective boundary conditions. To compare the neutronic performances, U-5Mo, U-7.5Mo, U-10Mo, and U-15Mo fuels were chosen in addition to ordinary UO2 fuel. The concentration of 135Xe, 149Sm, fissile and fertile isotopes with burnup, reactivity feedback with fuel temperature variation, and β eff values were calculated. The results indicate that the fuel cycle length increases by 54.27% for U-5Mo, 32.6% for U-7.5Mo, and 13.8% for U-10Mo, while it decreases by 16.4% for U-15Mo fuel. Additionally, the effect of 95Mo content in natural Mo was investigated by reducing the 95Mo concentration. According to the results, each proposed fuel's fuel cycle length extended when the depletion ratio of 95Mo increased. Additionally, the calculations for reactivity feedback guarantee safe operating conditions for all U-xMo fuels.

폐단면리브로 보강된 일축압축을 받는 복합적층판의 국부좌굴강도 증가효과 (Increasing Effect in Local Buckling Strength of Laminated Composite Plates Stiffened with Closed-section Ribs under Uniaxial Compression)

  • This study is aimed to examine the influence of the rotational stiffness of U-shaped ribs on the local buckling behaviors of laminated composite plates. Applying the orthotropic plates with eight layers of the layup $[(0^{\circ})4]s$ and $[(0^{\circ}/90^{\circ})2]s$, 3-dimensional finite element models for the U-rib stiffened plates were setup by using ABAQUS and then a series of eigenvalue analyses were conducted. There is a need to develope a simple design equation to establish the rotational stiffness effect, which could be easily quantified by comparing the theoretical critical stress equation for laminated composite plates with elastic restraints based on the Classical laminated plate theory. Through the parametric numerical studies, it is confirmed that there should clearly exist an increasing effect of local plate buckling strength due to the rotational stiffness by closed-section ribs. An applicable coefficient for practical design should be verified and proposed for future study. This study will contribute to the future study for establishing an increasing coefficient for the design strength and optimum design of U-rib stiffened plates.

FPSO의 횡요 감쇠 장치에 대한 고찰 (A Study on Roll Reduction Devices for FPSOs)

  • Several roll motion reduction devices are reviewed and suggested for the application in FPSO. The firstly suggested solution is the shape of the bilge. The next is a bilge keel. The last suggestion is the ART (anti-rolling tank). Typical U-tube type ART is designed for a FPSO and examined extensively by model experiment. The model section was made of transparent acryl. Free decay test, forced oscillation test and wave test were carried out at a two-dimensional wave flume. U-tube type ART is effective only when the natural periods of ART and ship are same. Therefore, the divided U-tube type ART with split plate is suggested for the reduction of the roll motion of a FPSO over the wide range of the roll period.

  • This paper presents a series of numerical simulations on the thermal performance and sectional efficiency of a closed-loop vertical ground heat exchanger (U-loop) equipped in a geothermal heat pump system (GHP). A 3-D finite volume analysis (Fluent) was used to simulate the operating process of the closed-loop vertical ground heat exchanger by considering the effect of the thickness of HDPE pipe and grout thermal properties, distance between the inflow and outflow pipes, and the effectiveness of the latticed HDPE pipe system. It was observed that the thermal interference between the two strands of U-loop is of importance in determining the efficiency of the ground heat exchanger, and thus it is highly recommendable to modify the cross section configuration of the conventional U-loop system by including a thermally insulating latice between the two strands.
