Three Arsenazo I-XAD Chelating resins, with different surface areas and pore sizes were synthesized and characterized. The total sorption capacities of these chelating resins for Cu(II) at pH 5.0 by batch method decreased as follows, Arsenazo I-XAD-16(0.59mmol/g)>Arsenazo I-XAD-4(0.56mmol/g)>Arsenazo I-XAD-2(0.38mmol/g). The sorption and desorption properties of Arsenazo I-XAD-16 chelating resins for U(VI), Th(IV), Hf(IV), Zr(IV), Ni(II), Mn(II), Cd(II). and Cu(II) were studied by both batch and elution method. The Arsenazo I-XAD-16 chelating resin was successfully applied to the separation and concentration of trace U(VI) and Th(IV) in sea and waste waters.

This paper deals with Government-Industry-University-Academy (G-I-U-A) collaboration mechanism in China from the perspective of National Innovation Systems (NIS) theory. The focus of the article is on the analytical and methodological issues arising from the G-I-U-A collaboration. How the O-I-U-A collaboration changes in China is identified here. After some review of academic research, the paper reveals the key roles which Government, Industry, University and Academy should play. According to the government behavior in innovation activities, a G-I-U-A collaboration mechanism with Chinese characteristics is provided in the paper.

Consider the random n $\times$ m assignment problem with m $\geq$ $_{i,j}$ Let $u_{i,j}$ be iid uniform random variables on [0, 1] and exponential random variables with mean 1, respectively, and let $U_{n, m}$ and $T_{n, m}$ denote the optimal assignment costs corresponding to $u_{i, j}$ and $t_{i, j}$. In this paper we first give a comparison result about the discrepancy E $T_{n, m}$ -E $U_{n, m}$. Using this comparison result with a known lower bound for Var( $T_{n, m}$) we obtains a lower bound for Var( $U_{n, m}$). Finally, we study the way that E $U_{n, m}$ and E $T_{n, m}$ vary as m does. It turns out that only when m - n is large enough, the cost decreases significantly.tly.

In this study, text mining analysis was performed on online big data for recognition and assessment of urban brand I Seoul U. To this end, TEXTOM, a processing program for data acquisition and analysis was used, and the 'I SEOUL U' keyword was selected as an analysis keyword. Keyword analysis shows the keywords associated with I Seoul U to be as follows: First, as a business and marketing term, keywords include pop-up store, gallery, co-branding, (festival, etc.), commodities, private companies and online. Second, as an event-related term, keywords include Han River, tree-planting day, tree planting, Hongdae, Christmas, Mapo, Jung-gu, Sejong University, and festival. Third, as a promotional term, keywords include robotics engineer Dr. Dennis Hong, Government, Art and Korea. In the N Gram analysis, as the city brand of Seoul, I Seoul U, in the public interest, was found to contribute to the commercial activities of private companies. In connection-oriented analysis, business and marketing, events, and promotions have been derived as categories. In matrix analysis, it was found that the products of the pop-up store are mainly developed, and products in the form of co-branding were being developed. In the topic modeling, a total of 10 topics were extracted and needs for commercial utilization and information for event festivals were mostly found.

In the present contribution, fracture resistance of U-notched GPPS members under mixed mode I/III loading conditions is assessed by using the Averaged Strain Energy Density (ASED) criterion. This criterion has been founded based on the ASED parameter averaged over a well-defined control volume embracing the notch edge. The validation of the theoretical criterion predictions is evaluated through comparing with the results of a series of mixed mode I/III fracture tests conducted on rectangular-shaped GPPS specimens weakened by a single edge U-notch. A recently developed apparatus for mixed mode I/III fracture experiments is employed for measuring the fracture loads of the specimens. The test samples are fabricated with different notch tip radii with the aim of evaluating the influence of this major feature of the U-notched components on the mixed mode I/III fracture behavior. It is shown that the onset of brittle fracture in U-notched GPPS specimens under various combinations of tension and out-of-plane shear can well be predicted by means of the ASED criterion.

Postoperative skeletal stability was evaluated in combination of Le Fort I and U-shaped osteotomies for superior repositioning of maxilla in bi-maxillary surgeries in 30 consecutive patients. The fifteen patients underwent Le Fort I osteotomy alone and the other fifteen patients underwent Le Fort I and U-shaped osteotomies. In all patients, the maxilla was first osteomized and fixed with absorbable plates system. A bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy (BSSRO) of the mandible was then carried out and fixation was performed using absorbable plates. Maxillo-mandibular fixation with rubber ring was used for two weeks post-operatively in all patients. Lateral cephalograms were obtained pre-operatively, 1 day post-operatively, 6 months after surgery. The changes in anterior nasal spine (ANS), point A, upper incisior (U1), and point of maxillary tuberosity (PMT) were examined. The maxillas in the fifteen patients of both examination group were repositioned nearly in their planned positions during surgery and no significant post-operative changes in the examined points of the maxilla were found. These results suggest that a combination of a Le Fort I and U-shaped osteotomy is a useful technique for reliable superior repositioning of the maxilla. The post-operative change in the maxilla using this combination osteotomy was comparatively stable.

In this paper, we are concerned with the following eigenvalue problems of m-point boundary value problem for p-Laplacian dynamic equation on time scales $(\varphi_p(u^{\Delta}(t)))^\nabla+{\lambda}h(t)f(u(t))=0,\;t\in(0,T)$, $u(0)=0,\varphi_p(u^{\Delta}(T))=\sum\limits_{i=1}^{m-2}a_i\varphi_p(u^{\Delta}(\xi_i))$, where $\varphi_p(u)=|u|^{p-2}$u, p > 1 and $\lambda$ > 0 is a real parameter. Under certain assumptions, some new results on existence of one or two positive solution and nonexistence are obtained for $\lambda$ evaluated in different intervals. Our work develop and improve many known results in the literature even for the continual case. In doing so the usual restriction that $f_0=lim_{u{\rightarrow}0}+f(u)/\varphi_p(u)$ and $f_\infty = lim_{u{\rightarrow}{\infty}}f(u)/\varphi_p({u})$ exist is removed. As an applications, an example is given to illustrate the main results obtained.

In this paper, I described a guide of developing contents to present the direction of developing contents for u-learning. After surveying a character of Ubiquitous computing and u-learning, I described a guide of developing contents which is composed 17 items in 5 fields. This guide is checked by experts and staffs to test a validity and reliability. As a result, It is proven having the validity and reliability. I expect it to guide the direction of developing contents for u-learning. Also, It will contribute to make effective contents which will not affected by technical development and can use continuously because of foreseeing the technical development of future.

This test was performed to evaluate the ocular and skin irritation of EPO (Erythropoietin). The results as follows: 1. Ocular irritation test There were no observed clinical signs, body weght changes by EPO during experimental period. The acute ocular irritation index(A.O.I.), mean ocular irritation index(M.O.I.) and Day-7 individual ocular irritation index(I.O.I.) of EPO at dose of 1000U and 10, 000U were 0, respectively. Therefore we evaluated that EPO was non-toxic to eyes. 2. Skin irritation test There were no observed clinical signs, body weght changes and gross pathologic findings by EPO during experimental period. There were no observed erythema, eschar formation and edema formation on intact and abraded skin treated by EPO. The primary irritation index(P.I.I.) of EPO at dose of 1000U and 10, 000U were 0, respectively and were evaluated none irritating product about skin irritation.
