Although the interest in NBR has been increasing due to the recent developments of the aerospace sector, there are few reports on HNBR's aeronautical oil, particularly evaluations of the accelerated life of harsh factors. In this study, the tensile strength was adopted as a performance evaluation factor to evaluate the accelerated life of HNBR used in the aviation field. The accelerated stress factor affecting the performance-aging characteristics was defined as temperature. The acceleration stress factor was determined to be temperature, and the result of measuring the tensile strength change over time. The sample for the acceleration condition was taken out of the oven for a certain period and left at room temperature for 24 hours. The dumbbell type 3 specimens were manufactured according to the standard specified in KS M 6518 and were measured the tensile strength, a factor in accelerated life evaluations. The activation energy was 0.895, and the shape parameter was 1.152 using the Arrhenius model. The characteristic life obtained from the tensile strength of the HNBR specimen immersed in aviation oil at 20℃ was 272,256 hours; the average life was 258,965 hours, and the B10 life was 38,624 hours.

This paper introduces a measurement system for mechanical properties of sport shoes using an industrial robot. The robot system used in this paper is a commercial Puma type robot system(FARA AT2 made by SAMSUNG Electronics) with 6 joints and the end-effector is modified to produce a human walking motion. After analyzing human walking with a high speed video camera, each joint angle of the robot system is extracted to be used in the robot system. By using this system, ground impact forces were measured during stepping motion with 3 different shoe specimens made of 3 different hardness outsoles, respectively. As other mechanical properties, both bending moments to bend the toe part of the same specimen shoes and pronation quantities during walking motion were measured as well. In the impact test with the same depth of deformation under the ground level, the effect of the outsole hardness was clearly appeared such that the harder outsole produces the higher ground reaction force. The bending test and the pronation test also show proportional increments in the bending stiffness and the moment Mx according to the outsole hardness. Throughout such experiments, the robot system has produced consistent results so that the system could be used in obtaining valuable informations for a shoe designing process.
Despite significant advance in laparoscopy, upper gastrointestinal (UGI) series is still generally carried out for preoperative localization of gastrectomy. The aim of the study was to compare the accuracy of UGI series and postoperative pathological findings in the diagnosis and localization of gastric cancer. A retrospective review was carried out for 102 patients who underwent gastrectomy between October 2007 and April 2009. Preoperative reports of UGI series were compared with postoperative pathology reports and the accuracy of the preoperative reports was calculated. Two radiographer retrospectively reviewed the analysis of UGI series. postoperative pathology reports of the surgical specimens, were compared with the preoperative reports of the location and extent of the tumor were correct in 81 case("sure", 79.4%) and incorrect in 21 case("failed, 20.6%). In 92 case UGI series revealed intestinal metaplasia (90.2%) at consensus review and these results demonstrate the limitation of the UGI series in the diagnosis of type IIb gastric cancer with size less than 1.0cm and the poor detection of gastric cancer is that the overlying mucous membrane often appears to be normal in these patients. In conclusion, UGI series is accurate the detection of the tumor localization and diagnosis of intestinal metaplasia. However, for the overcome with the limitation of UGI series should be used accurate technique for the region of the stomach. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to determine the changes of the mucus membrane of the stomach and UGI series is gaining acceptance as a standard method for preoperative gastric cancer screening.

Austenitic stainless steel is widely used in various industries due to its excellent corrosion resistance. However, Cr carbides precipitation along the grain boundaries after heat treatment or welding may develop Cr depleted zone, which acts as a preferential site for intergranular corrosion attack. To resolve this, carbon stabilizing element such as Ti or Nb are added to suppress formation of Cr carbides. However, there are few reports on corrosion characteristics under seawater environment of the stabilized stainless steel. This study investigated the effects of alloying contents on the electrochemical characteristics in seawater of stainless steel containing stabilizing element(Ti and Nb). To achieve this, the changes on the microstructure due to alloying were observed with microscope, and the electrochemical characteristics were determined by measurement of natural potential and potentiodynamic polarization experiments. The microscopic observation revealed that all specimens had inclusions other than the austenite matrix phase due to the addition of alloying elements. Such inclusions are considered to have different electrochemical characteristics from those of the matrix, and thus a clear distinction was found according to the type of stabilizers and the contents. The results of this study suggest that it is important to consider the effects of alloying contents on the electrochemical characteristics in seawater with the addition of Ti or Nb into austenitic stainless steel.

This study conducted tensile tests on an Alloy 690TT tube at room temperature (RT) and at $343^{\circ}C$ using tube- and ring-type specimens to investigate the stress-strain behavior and tensile properties of a steam generator (SG) tube in the axial and circumferential directions at RT and at the design temperature of a nuclear power plant (NPP). The results of the axial tensile test showed that yield point phenomena appeared at both RT and $343^{\circ}C$, and serrated flow in the stress-strain curve appeared at $343^{\circ}C$. Yield and tensile strengths for both directions were clearly lower at $343^{\circ}C$ compared to RT; however, the elongations were approximately the same at both test temperatures. Regardless of the test temperature, the strengths in the circumferential direction were lower by approximately 5~10 % than those in the axial direction. In addition, the test data revealed that the reduction in the yield and tensile strengths of the Alloy 690TT SG tube with the test temperature was more significant than that estimated by the temperature correction factor of ASME Sec.II.
Spiders usually have poor vision but not the jumping spiders. Their eight eyes are located on its distinctive box-shaped head and relatively well developed. The Spiders were fixated with 3% glutaraldehyde and thin section was performed with ultra-microtome. The specimens were observed with light microscopy, transmission and scanning electron microscopy. Eye area of jumping spider is competed of three rows. The first eye row comprise four eyes. Among them, two anterior median eyes are the largest and two anterior lateral eyes are relatively small. The former are main-eyes and have excellent vision. The second row, which has the two smallest eyes, is located about midway between the first and third rows. The third row is about half-way back on the thorax and eyed of which are middle size. To investigate ultrastructure of salticid spiders'eye, Menemerus fulvus was chosen. All of Menemerus fuvus's eyes are composed of cornea, lens, vitreous body and retina in histologically. Cornea layer, linked to exocuticle of exoskeleton. is regular layer structure without any cell tripe. Lenses are biconvex type. Retinas comprise well developed microvilli-shape rhabdomeres, unpigmented supporting cells, and pigmented cell. Retinas of anterior median eyes are surrounded by circular cylinder-shaped vitreous body, photoreceptor, i.e. rhabdomeres, of it is irregularly arranged compared to the other eyes.
Palaeomagnesim of Paleozoic Tuwibong Type Sequence in Yemi area was studied with a total of 256 core-samples collected from 23 sites. The study area (geographical coordinates: 37.l8$^{\circ}$N, l28.610E) is located between Taebaek and Yongwol belonging to the northeastern part of the Okchon Belt. Thermal cleaning was a most effective method to extract stable characteristic remanent magnetization (ChRM) direction, even though AF cleaning also worked on some specimens. Mean ChRM direction of the Cambrian Hwajol Formation was different from the present-day field direction and showed maximum clustering (max. k value) at 100% bedding-tilt correction. However, it could not pass the fold test. Ordovician Makkol and Kosong Limestones as well as Permian Sadong and Kobangsan Formations have very weak NRM, and were remagnetized into the present-day field direction. ChRM directions from the Carboniferous Hongjom Formation passed both fold and reversal tests. IRM experiments and blocking temperature spectrum indicate that both magnetite and haematite are carrier of the primary magnetization. Palaeomagnetic pole position from the Carboniferous Hongjom Formation is very similar to that of contemporary North China Block (NCB) suggesting that the study area was a part of, or located very near to, the NCB during Carboniferous.
In order to ascertain latitudinal variation of lipid contents and compositions in copepods, we collected warm water copepod species (Euchaeta sp. and Pleuromamma spp.) from four different regions from low (sub-tropical) to mid (temperate) latitudes in the Northwest Pacific Ocean. Total lipid contents of Pleuromamma spp. were about 11 $ug{\cdot}ind^{-1}$ with little latitudinal variation, whereas Euchaeta sp. showed slightly higher lipid content (20 $ug{\cdot}ind^{-1}$) than Pleuromamma spp. with latitudinal gradient (low at subtropic and high at temperate). Wax esters, known as the major storage lipid classes, were found to be the dominant lipid classes (accounting for more than 35% of total lipids) in Euchaeta sp., whereas in Pleuromamma spp., phospholipids, known as cellular membrane components, were the dominant lipid classes. However, the exception was specimens from warm pool region exhibiting dominance in storage of lipids as a form of triacylglycerols. Among fatty acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), especially docosahexaenoic acid (DHA : 22:6(n-3)) (about 35% of total fatty acids), were most abundant in Euchaeta sp., while saturated fatty acids (SAFA), specially hexadecanoic acid (16:0) (about 30% of total fatty acids), were most abundant in Pleuromamma spp.. Among the neutral fraction of lipids, phytol, originated from the side chain of chlorophyll, was found in all samples which generally indicate active copepods feeding on algae. While only trace amounts of short-chain fatty alcohols were found in Pleuromamma spp., significant amounts of fatty alcohols were found in Euchaeta sp.. Particularly, significant amounts of long chain monounsaturated fatty alcohols (20:1 and 22:1), generally found in cold water species, were found in Euchaeta sp. from low latitudes. The latitudinal variation of trophic lipid markers in these copepods could be significantly related with in-situ food availability and species-specific diet preference. The result of this study suggests that the lipid contents and compositions in copepods may not only indicate their nutritional condition and feeding ecology but also provide insight into species-specific living strategies under different environmental conditions (i.e. water temperature, food availability).
This study conducted analysis of paint samples from a streetcar No. 381 (Registration Cultural Property No. 467) to identify the characteristics of the modern paint. The samples were analyzed by Microscopic observation, infrared spectroscopy and SEM-EDS. The upper part is consist of 26 layers and the under part is 29 layers. And the layers were painted various thickness from $10{\mu}m$ to $100{\mu}m$, and confirmed that several color had been used. The putty was used for surface treatment before painting. According to the results of infrared spectroscopy, paint specimens were identified as alkyd resin. Some bands such as C-H and C=O stretcing, aromatic, C-H bending, C-O stretching were found in spectra. Inorganic analysis showed that gold color on the surface was used copper-based paint. And type of the putty was lacquer-putty that was consist of kaolin, talc and zinc white.
The purpose of this study was to compare the marginal microleakage of different 2-step adhesive systems in Class V cavities prepared with different diamond points. Forty Class V cavities were prepared with two different (coarse or fine) diamond points on cervical third of extracted molars. The occlusal and gingival margin of cavities was located in enamel and dentin, respectively. They were divided into one of four equal groups (n = 10) and ; Group 1-prepared with coarse diamond point (EX-41), restored with Single Bond and Z 250, Group 2-prepared with fine diamond piont (TF-21F), restored with Sing)e Bond and Z 250, Group 3-prepared with coarse diamond point (EX-41), restored with Clearfil SE Bond and Clearfil AP-X, Group 4-prepared with fine diamond point (TF-21F), restored with Clearfil SE Bond and Clearfil AP-X. Specimens were thermocycled, immersed in a 2% methylene blue solution for 24 hours, and bisected longitudinally. They were observed leakages at enamel and dentinal margins. Data were analyzed using Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon signed ranked test. In this study, marginal microleakage or Single Bond was not affected by type of diamond points. But Clearfil SE Bond showed higher marginal microleakage at both enamel and dentinal margin when Class V cavity was prepared with coarse diamond point.
