주기적인 보행이 성장하는 어린뒷다리부유쥐의 Type II 근육에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Periodic Walking on the Type II Muscle of Growing Suspended Rats)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of periodic walking during hindlimb suspension on the mass, relative weight, fiber type distribution and cross-sectional area of Type I and II fibers in the developing Type II plantaris muscle. To examine the effectiveness of periodic walking on mass and fiber size, the hindlimbs of young female Wistar rats were suspended (HS group) and half of these rats walked on a treadmill for 45 min/day(15 min every 4 hours) at 5 meters/min at a 15 degree grade(HS-W group) After seven days of hindlimb suspension, the plantaris muscle wet weight was 28.40% significantly smaller(P<0.005) and relative plantaris muscle weight was 26.97% smaller compared with those of control rats(P<0.05). The plantaris muscle wet weight and the relative plantaris muscle weight increased by 46.60% and 49.23% respectively with periodic walking, moreover. the plantaris muscle wet weight and the relative plantaris muscle weight of the HS-W rats recovered to the level of the control rats. No change was observed in fiber type percentage of the developing plantaris muscle following one week of hindlimb suspension or periodic walking during hindlimb suspension. Type I and II fiber cross-sectional areas of the developing plantaris muscle were 42.51% and 43. 68% lower in the HS group than in the control group(p<0.0001), Type I and II fiber cross-sectional areas of the developing plantaris were 30.82% and 45.97% greater in the HS-W group than in the HS group(p<0.0001), whereas Type I and II fiber cross-sectional area of HS-W group were less than those of the control group(P<0.0001) The results suggest that periodic walking can attenuate developing plantaris muscle atrophy induced by hindlimb suspension.

삼국시대 관모 및 관식 유물 감정을 위한 기준 설정 (Establishment of Criteria for the Evaluation of Headgear and Ornaments for Diadem in the Period of the Three States)

  • In Headgear and Ornaments for Diadem in the Period of the Three States there was Conical Cap(or Pointed Cap), Feathered Cap(Trim), and Crown[Tree-typed Diadem and Tree and Antler-typed Diadem] was excavated from the tombs. Feathered Trim is 5 types, Feathered Trim I-A, Feathered Trim I-B, Feathered Trim II-A, Feathered Trim II-B, Feathered Trim II-C in according to upper part of central insert plate style. Feathered Trim I-A, I-B, II-B type was general style that was found in most of the old tombs in ancient Silla, Gaya. Feathered Trim II-A type was excavated from the only Silla tombs and II-C type was excavated from Gaya tombs. The Ornaments for Diadem in Baekje was excavated from the tombs is adorned with a arranged leaf-stems on either sides and the flower-shaped. They were distinguished with the original mode of Goguryeo and ancient Silla at the time. Tree-typed Diadem is five part in according to the Mountain(;山)-typed piled up. Only one Mountain(;山)-typed one in three stand-up ornament(I-1 type), and three step one in three stand-up one(I-2 type), modification one (I-3 type), three step one of four and five stand-up ones(I-4 type), and four step one of four and five stand-up ones (I-5 type). Tree and Antler-typed Diadem is three part in according to the step of Mountain(; 山)-typed and cross-shaped of the upper part. Three one of three step one of Mountain(;山)-typed and two Antler- typed (II-1 type), cross-shaped one(II-2 type), four step one(II-3 type).

리기다소나무 방부 정각재를 이용한 목재 옹벽의 강도 성능 평가 (Strength Properties of Wooden Model Retaining Wall Using Preservative Treated Square Timber of Domestic Pinus rigida Miller)

  • 국내산 주요 침엽수 소경목의 활용 방안으로 리기다소나무를 이용한 목재 모형 옹벽을 제작하여 강도 성능을 평가하였다. 목재 모형 옹벽은 가로, 세로 11 cm의 CUAZ-2 처리한 리기다소나무 방부 정각재를 사용하여 3개의 Type으로 제작하였다. 각 Type별 옹벽은 횡목 4층 종목 3층 총 7층의 높이 86 cm, 길이 300 cm, 폭 93 cm로 제작 하였으며 기본형인 Type I과 목재 사용량을 줄이기 위해 중간에 긴 종목과 짧은 종목을 번갈아 사용한 Type II, Type II와 동일하게 제작한 후 횡목의 연결부위를 보강목으로 보강한 Type III으로 제작하였다. 각 Type별 옹벽은 수평 재하 시험을 통한 강도 성능 평가와 화상처리를 통한 구조물의 변형을 검토하였다. 수평 재하 시험 결과 최대 하중을 비교해 보았을 때 Type I은 63.17 kN/m, Type II는 57.80 kN/m, Type III은 60.97 kN/m으로 나타났다. 화상 처리를 통해 측정된 전면부의 최상층 변형을 비교해 보았을 때 Type I에 비해 Type II의 변형이 약 1.5배 많은 변형을 보였으며 Type I과 Type III은 비슷한 변형을 보이는 것을 알 수 있었다. 실험 결과 Type III의 경우 목재 사용량을 절감하면서도 양호한 강도성능을 확인 할 수 있었다.

Angiotensin II에 의해 유도되는 활성산소발생 기전에 대한 연구 (Angiotensin II-Induced Generation of Reactive Oxygen Species Is Regulated by a Phosphatidylinositol 3-Kinase/L-Type Calcium Channel Signaling Pathway)

  • Angiotensin II (AngII)는 혈관평활근세포의 수축을 통해 혈관을 수축시키는 강력한 작용을 나타낼 뿐만 아니라 혈관세포의 성장 등에 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 AngII에 의해 형성되는 활성산소가 phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)에 유리되는 칼슘에 의해 조절된다는 것을 검증하였다. 쥐의 대동맥으로부터 분리된 혈관평활근세포에서 AngII에 의해 활성산소가 농도 의존적, 그리고 시간 의존적으로 형성됨을 관찰하였다. AngII에 의해 형성되는 활성산소는 PI3K의 억제제에 의해 봉쇄되었으나 EKR의 억제제에 의해서는 봉쇄되지 않음을 알 수 있었다. AngII에 의해 유리되는 칼슘은 L-type 칼슘이온통로 봉쇄제인 Nifedipine 또는 배양액에 칼슘이 제거된 환경에서 억제됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 AngII에 의해 형성되는 활성산소는 배양액에 칼슘이 없는 조건이나 L-type 칼슘이온통로 억제제를 전처리 하였을 경우 억제되는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 쥐의 대동맥으로부터 분리된 혈관평활근세포에서 AngII에 의한 활성산소의 형성은 PI3K/L-type 칼슘이온통로를 통한 기전을 통해 조절됨을 제안한다.

임플란트주위염시 Porphyromonas gingivalis 섬모유전형의 출현율 (Prevalence of fimA Genotypes of Porphyromonas gingivalis Strains in peri-implantitis patients)

  • Fimbriae (fimA) of Porphyromonas gingivalis are filamentous components on the cell surface and are thought to play an important role in the colonization and invasion of periodontal tissue. P. gnigivalis fimA gene encoding fimbrillin, a subunit of fimbriae, has been classified into 5 genotypes (types I to V) based on the nucleotide sequences. In the present study, we examined the prevalence of these fimA genotypes in patients with dental implant and the relationship between prevalence of these genotypes and peri-implantitis. Dental plaque specimens obtained from 80 peri-implant sulci of 50 patients with dental implants were analyzed by 16S rRNA fimA gene-directed PCR assay. P. gingivalis were detected in 74.4% of the samples of the control group (healthy peri- implant sulci; probing depth<5mm) and in 92.0% of the samples of the test group (peri-implant sulci with peri-iimplantitis; probing $depth{\geqq}5mm$). Among the P. gingivalis-positive samples of the control group, the most prevalent fimA type was type I (29.3%), followed by type II (26.8%). In contrast, a majority among the P. gingivalis-positive samples of the test group was type II (56.S%), followed by type I (43.5%). TypeII fimA genotype organisms were detected more frequently in the test group and a significant difference in the occurrence of type II was observed between test and the control groups. A correlation between specific fimA types and peri-implant health status was found in type II (OR 3.545) and only a weak relationship was revealed in typeIV(OR 3.807). These findings indicate that P. gingivalis strains that possess type II fimA are predominant in peri-implant sulci with peri-implantitis and are closely associated with peri-implant health status. P. gingivalis with type II fimA may be involved in peri-implantitis.

$[M(II)O_3N_3]$$[Ni(II)O_2N_4]$ 형태착물의 쌍극자 모멘트에 대한 리간드의 cis 및 trans 구조의 영향 (The Effects of the cis and trans Configurations of Ligands on the Calculated Dipole Moments for $[M(II)O_3N_3]$ and $[Ni(II)O_2N_4]$ Type Complexes)

  • EHT calculation의 고유함수를 사용하여 $[M(II)O_3N_3]$$[Ni(II) O_2N_4]$ 형태착물[M(II) = Co(III), Ni(II) 및 Cu(II)]의 쌍극자 모멘트에 대한 cis 및 trans 구조의 영향을 고찰하였다. cis$[M(Ⅱ)O_3N_3]$ 형태착물의 계산한 쌍극자 모멘트가 trans착물의 계산한 쌍극자 모멘트 값보다 큰 값을 가지며 trans 착물의 쌍극자 모멘트 값이 실험치 범위안에 들었다. 그러나 $[Ni(II) O_2N_4]$ 착물의 경우 cis 착물의 쌍극자 모멘트 값이 실험치 범위안에 들었다. 이 결과는 $[Co(III)O_3N_3]$ 형태착물이 trans 구조, $[Ni(II) O_2N_4]$ 형태착물은 cis 구조를 가졌음을 암시하며 이는 실험결과와 일치한다. $[M(II)O_3N_3]$ 형태착물에서 세개의 두자리 (O-N)리간드가 금속이온에 배위되어 있으며 $[Ni(II) O_2N_4]$형태 착물에서는 두개의 세자리(O-N-N) 리간드가 Ni(II) 이온에 배위되어 있음).

  • In this paper, we derive the approximate maximum likelihood estimators of the shape parameter and the scale parameter in a Weibull distribution under multiply Type-II censoring by the approximate maximum likelihood estimation method. We develop three modified empirical distribution function type tests for the Weibull distribution based on multiply Type-II censored samples. We also propose modified normalized sample Lorenz curve plot and new test statistic.

Overview of Mucolipidosis Type II and Mucolipidosis Type III α/β

  • Mucolipidosis type II (MLII; MIM#252500) and type III alpha/beta (MLIIIA; MIM#252600) very rare lysosomal storage disease cause by reduced enzyme activity of GlcNAc-1-phosphotransferase. ML II is caused by a total or near total loss of GlcNAc-1-phosphotransferase activity whether enzymatic activity in patient with ML IIIA is reduced. While ML II and ML III share similar clinical features, including skeletal abnormalities, ML II is the more severe in terms of phenotype. ML III is a much milder disorder, being characterized by latter onset of clinical symptoms and slower progressive course. GlcNAc-1-phosphotransferase is encoded by two genes, GNPTAB and GNPTG, mutations in GNPTAB give rise to ML II or ML IIIA. To date, more than 100 different GNPTAB mutations have been reported, causing either ML II or ML IIIA. Despite development of new diagnostic approach and understanding of disease mechanism, there is no specific treatment available for patients with ML II and ML IIIA yet, only supportive and symptomatic treatment is indicated.

Dependence of solar proton events on their associated activities: solar and interplanetary type II radio burst, flare, and CME

  • We investigate the dependence of solar proton events (SPEs) on solar and interplanetary type II bursts associated with solar flares and/or CME-driven shocks. For this we consider NOAA solar proton events from 1997 to 2012 and their associated flare, CME, and type II radio burst data with the following subgroups: metric, decameter-hectometric (DH), and meter-to-kilometric (m-to-km) type II bursts. The primary findings of this study are as follows. First, about half (52%) of the m-to-km type II bursts are associated with SPEs and its occurrence rate is higher than those of DH type II bursts (45%) and metric type II bursts (19%). Second, the SPE occurrence rate strongly depends on flare strength and source longitude, especially for X-class flare associated ones; it is the highest in the central region for metric (46%), DH (54%), and m-to-km (75%) subgroups. Third, the SPE occurrence rate is also dependent on CME linear speed and angular width. The highest rates are found in the m-to-km subgroup associated with CME speed 1500 kms-1: partial halo CME (67%) and halo CME (55%). Fourth, in the relationships between SPE peak fluxes and solar eruption parameters (CME linear speed, flare flux, and longitude), SPE peak flux is mostly dependent on SPE peak flux for all three type II bursts (metric, DH, m-to-km). It is noted that the dependence of SPE peak flux on flare peak flux decreases from metric to m-to-km type II burst.

사상체질과 ACE 유전자 다형성 분류에 따른 유·무산소성 능력비교 (Comparison of Aerobic and Anaerobic Capacity between Sasang Consititutions and ACE Gene Polymorphismn)

  • Purpose. This study of purpose was to to compare of Aerobic and Anaerobic Capacity between Sasang Constitutions and ACE Gene Polymorphism. Methods. 24 healthy males were participated in this experiment who were in their twenties and had no disease, then they were divided by ACE type and by Sasang constitutions with QSCC II. According to these group, the body compositon, Aerobic capacity including VO2max, Anaerobic Capacity were measured. Results. In this study, According to ACE type, ID type were 8, II were 8 and DD type were 8 persons. According to ACE type, there were significant difference among type, especially, II, ID type more than DD. II type is more higher than any type and DD type is lower in the ratio of Blood Lactic recovery. DD type was more excellent than other type in Anaerobic power. According to Sasang Constitutions, there were 8 SoYang, 5 Taeum, 11 Soeum and then no TaeYang constitution. In Aerobic capacity, Taeum constitution had significantly high means and Anaerobic threshold. In the ratio of Blood lactic recovery, Taeum constitution was excellent and SoYang had poor recovery capacity. SoYang had more excellent than other constitution significantly in Anaerobic capacity. Comparing ACE type with Sasang constitution, Soyang constitution included 4 ID types, Taeum inclued 2 II types and 2 ID types then Soeum included 6 DD types. Compared of Aerobic and Anaerobic capacity between Sasang constitutions and ACE type, Soyang constitutions were similar to ID type, Taeum similar to II type and ID type and then Soeum were DD type. Conclusions. This study had made it clear that there were similar feature between ACE type and Sasang constitutions. Also it's possible to predict the Aerobic capacity that may be foreseen by ACE type with Sasang questionnaire method but not Anaerobic capacity.
