Recently, with the machine learning trend, most of the machine translation systems on over the world use two syntax tree sets of two relevant languages to learn syntactic tree transfer rules. However, for the English-Vietnamese language pair, this approach is impossible because until now we have not had a Vietnamese syntactic tree set which is correspondent to English one. Building of a very large correspondent Vietnamese syntactic tree set (thousands of trees) requires so much work and take the investment of specialists in linguistics. To take advantage from our available English-Vietnamese Corpus (EVC) which was tagged in word alignment, we choose the SITG (Stochastic Inversion Transduction Grammar) model to construct English- Vietnamese syntactic tree sets automatically. This model is used to parse two languages at the same time and then carry out the syntactic tree transfer. This English-Vietnamese bilingual syntactic tree set is the basic training data to carry out transferring automatically from English syntactic trees to Vietnamese ones by machine learning models. We tested the syntax analysis by comparing over 10,000 sentences in the amount of 500,000 sentences of our English-Vietnamese bilingual corpus and first stage got encouraging result $(analyzed\;about\;80\%)[5].$ We have made use the TBL algorithm (Transformation Based Learning) to carry out automatic transformations from English syntactic trees to Vietnamese ones based on that parallel syntactic tree transfer set[6].
The purpose of this study was to propose curriculum and teaching sequence for seasonal change by exploring a learning progression. For the purpose, 4 steps of construct modeling approach (specifying construct, item design, outcome space, and measurement model) proposed by Wilson (2005) was applied. In the stage of specifying construct, 'length of shadow according to seasons', 'position of constellation according to seasons', 'seasons of the southern hemisphere and northern hemisphere', 'cause and phenomenon of seasonal change' were selected as the subconstructs of seasonal changes, and constructed a construct map showing the level of development from level 1 to level 4 for each subconstruct based on the results of the previous research. In the item design stage, we developed five assessment items consisting of 3 items in the form of C-E (choose and explain) and two items in the form of CR (constructed response), applied it to 383 elementary, middle and high school students. In the outcome space stage, the students' responses to the assessment items were categorized based on the construct map. The categories were classified into 4 levels according to student ability and scores of 1-4 were given. In the measurement model stage, we applied the partial credit model of the Rasch model and compared whether the learning pathway created from the results of students' response coincides with the construct map. Based on the results of the research, we modified the construct map and finally created hypothetical learning progression on seasonal change. Finally, we proposed an orientation of curriculum amendment and effective teaching sequence for seasonal change.

A pick-and-place operation in 3-dimensional environment is basic operation for human and multi-purpose manipulators. However, there may be a difficult problem for such manipulators. Especially, if the object cannot be moved with a single grasp, regrasping, which can be a time-consuming process, should be carried out. Regrasping, given initial and final pose of the target object, is a construction of sequential transition of object poses that are compatible with two poses in the point of grasp configuration. This paper presents a novel approach for solving regrasp problem. The approach consists of a preprocessing and a planning stage. Preprocessing, which is done only once for a given robot, generates a look-up table which has information of kinematically feasible task space of end-effector through all the workspace. Then, using the table planning automatically determines possible intermediate location, pose and regrasp sequence leading from the pick-up to put-down grasp. Experiments show that the presented is complete in the total workspace. The regrasp planner was combined with existing path.
Numerical and experimental investigations are peformed for the rarefied gas flows in pumping channels of a helical-type drag pump. Modern turbomolecular pumps include a drag stage in the discharge side, operating roughly in $10^{-2}{\sim}10Torr$. The flow occurring in the pumping channel develops from the molecular transition to slip flow traveling downstream. Two different numerical methods are used in this analysis: the first one is a continuum approach in solving the Navier-Stokes equations with slip boundary conditions, and the second one is a stochastic particle approach through the use of the direct simulation Monte Carlo(DSMC) method. The flow in a pumping channel is three-dimensional(3D), and the main difficulty in modeling a 3D case comes from the rotating frame of reference. Thus, trajectories of particles are no longer straight lines. In the Present DSMC method, trajectories of particles are calculated by integrating a system of differential equations including the Coriolis and centrifugal forces. Our study is the first instance to analyze the rarefied gas flows in rotating frame in the presence of noninertial effects.

In recent years, data centers have become the core infrastructure to deal with big data processing. For these big data applications, network transmission has become one of the most important factors affecting the performance. In order to improve network utilization and reduce job completion time, in this paper, by real-time monitoring from the application layer, we propose job-aware priority scheduling. Our approach takes the correlations of flows in the same job into account, and flows in the same job are assigned the same priority. Therefore, we expect that flows in the same job finish their transmissions at about the same time, avoiding lagging flows. To achieve load balancing, two approaches (Flow-based and Spray) using ECMP (Equal-Cost multi-path routing) are presented. We implemented our scheme using NS-2 simulator. In our evaluations, we emulate real network environment by setting background traffic, scheduling delay and link failures. The experimental results show that our approach can enhance the Hadoop job execution efficiency of the shuffle stage, significantly reduce the network transmission time of the highest priority job.
The latissimus dorsi flap is popular due to the versatile nature of its applications. When used as a pedicled flap it provides a robust solution when soft tissue coverage is required following breast, thoracic and head and neck surgery. Its utilization as a free flap is extensive due to the muscle's size, constant anatomy, large caliber of the pedicle and the fact it can be used for functional muscle transfers. In facial palsy it provides the surgeon with a long neurovascular pedicle that is invaluable in situations where commonly used facial vessels are not available, in congenital cases or where previous free functional muscle transfers have been attempted, or patients where a one-stage procedure is indicated and a long nerve is required to reach the contra-lateral side. Although some facial palsy surgeons use the trans-axillary approach, an operative guide of raising the flap by this method has not been provided. A clear guide of raising the flap with the patient in the supine position is described in detail and offers the benefits of reducing the risk of potential brachial plexus injury and allows two surgical teams to work synchronously to reduce operative time.

As the population of the silver generation is increasing, the importance and effects of the market for the silver generation are also growing. We segments the categories of the silver generation into six sub-segments using based on the factors like life style, life stage, or performing role from the point of view in communication industry. After segmenting those categories, we observed the experience of each segmented group in detail. Likewise, we executed both FGD(Focused Group Discussion) and participants' observations together to effectively collect the expressed and/or potential needs. Customer's experience was collected along the touch points and customer corridors after dividing the customer's experience world into two groups; communication styles in usual life (life log) and direct contact channels. The effects of delivering an affirmative customer's experience would be empowered by eliminating negative experiences or complementing affirmative experiences. For this purpose, this paper presents the improvement points for the better customer's experience based on the observed customer's experience. This paper presented a sample way of customer-centric approach to design the services or products in the communication industry. In addition to that, the analyzed results of this paper will be useful to find out an effective approach to the market of silver generation.
Daylighting has a very effective role in reducing power consumption and improving indoor environments in office buildings. Previously, it was not under consideration as a major source of renewable energy due to poor reliability in the design. Optical fiber as a transmission medium in the daylighting system demands uniform distribution of light to solve cost, heat, and efficiency issues. Therefore, this study focuses on the uniform distribution of sunlight through the fiber bundle and to the interior of the building. To this end, two efficient approaches for the fiber-based daylighting system are presented. The first approach consists of a parabolic mirror, and the second approach contains a Fresnel lens. Sunlight is captured, guided, and distributed through the concentrator, optical fibers, and lenses, respectively. At the capturing stage, uniform illumination solves the heat problem, which has critical importance in making the system cost-effective by introducing plastic optical fibers. The efficiency of the system is increased by collimated light, which helps to insert maximum light into the optical fibers. Furthermore, we find that the hybrid system of combining sunlight and light emitting diode light gives better illumination levels than that of traditional lighting systems. Simulation and experimental results have shown that the efficiency of the system is better than previous fiber-based daylighting systems.
As Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSAs) are thoroughly conducted for the Site Operating States (SOSs) for a single unit, multi-unit Probabilistic Safety Assessments (MUPSAs) are ongoing worldwide to address new technical challenges or issues. In South Korea, the determination of the site operating states for a single site requires a logical approach with reasonable assumptions due to the fact that there are 4-8 operating units for each site. This paper suggests a simulation model that gives a reasonable expectation of the site operation states using the Monte-Carlo method as a stochastic approach and deterministic aspects such as operational policies. Statistical hypothesis tests were conducted so that the reliance of the simulation results can be guaranteed. In this study, 7 units of the Kori site were analysed as a case study. The result shows that the fraction of full power for all 7 units is nearly 0.45. For situations when more than two units are not in operation, the highest fraction combination was obtained for Plant Operation State (POS) 8, which is the stage of inspection and repairment. By entering various site operation scenarios, the simulation model can be used for the analysis of other site operation states.
Purpose This study conducted an empirical study on the influence of institutional mechanisms on the formation of customer trust among leading online businesses. This study focused on the construct of PEEIM(Perceived Effectiveness of e-Commerce Institutional Mechanisms) which is the perceived recognition of institutional mechanisms for e-Commerce in general and the construct of PEIS which is the perceived recognition of institutional mechanisms that are implemented by vendors. Design/methodology/approach The online and offline surveys were conducted for the leading online shopping vendors in Korea and 292 data were used for the empirical analysis. The research model was tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) in this study. The full measurement model including the formative second-order constructs was examined with the exploratory factor analysis. The structural model was analyzed via a two-stage approach. To analyze the research model this study used Smart PLS 2.0 program. Findings The findings showed that PEEIM negatively moderates the relationship between satisfaction in vender and trust in vender, but had no moderating effect between trust in vender and repurchase intention. In addition, the institutional mechanisms of vendors(PEIS) have been shown to have a direct impact on the vender's trust.
