Turbo Fan 형상에 따른 맥동압력에 관한 수치해석 (A Numerical Analysis on Pressure Pulsation with Turbo Fan Shape)

  • This study simulates the flow characteristics of the turbo-fan which was applied to the industrial scale. Numerical analysis has been carried out to investigate a pulsation behavior of exhaust air that flow out the turbo fan, considering a constant rotating rate of impeller. Moving mesh technique provides time-accurate solutions for the flow inside an impeller. From the numerical results, FFT analysis has been made for pressure pulsations inside turbo-fan casing. The numerical simulation shows the pulsation of model-2 has higher than model. Additionally, BPF value is almost same as the numerical results.

  • A turbo-fan for the 4-way cassette indoor units of air-conditioners has been investigated. The main purpose of this investigation is the reduction of the turbo-fan noise. In order to reduce the noise level, many design parameters of turbo-fans such as blade section, blade thickness, geometry of blade leading edge, blade width, blade angle and bellmouth depth have been studied. With the experimental data of these parameters, a new turbo-fan was made for our system. The noise level of the new system was at least 3 dB(A) lower than that of the current in use.

  • Turbo codes of long block sizes have been known to show very good performance in an AWGN channel and the turbo code has been strongly recommended as error correction code for IMT-2000 in 3GPP(3$^{rd}$ Ceneration Partnership Project). Recently, turbo codes of short block sizes suitable for real time communication systems have attracted a lot of attention. Thus in this paper we consider the turbo code of 1/3 code rate and short frame size of 192 bits in ITU-R channel model.   • 본 논문에서는 이중이진 터보부호를 오류정정부호로 사용하는 이중이진 터보 incremental redundancy(IR)-hybrid ARQ(HARQ)기법을 제안한다. 또한 HARQ의 성능파라미터인 처리율의 기본적 해석 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 이중이진 터보 IR-HARQ는 이진 터보부호를 사용하는 IR-HARQ에 비해 모든 $E_s/N_0$ 영역에서 향상된 처리율을 보이며 오류정정부호만을 사용하는 경우에 비해 부호화 이득을 향상시킨다.

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive turbo system for a varying channel between being frequency-flat and frequency-selective. The proposed system unites a turbo code and a turbo equalization and selects one of two algorithms adaptively to the channel variation with the feedback information from the receiver. The performance of the proposed system in varying channel is evaluated by computer simulation when the feedback delay exists. It is shown that when the feedback delay is moderate, the proposed system outperforms both the conventional turbo code system and turbo equalization system without increasing the complexity.

  • The number of quantization bits of the input signals $X_k$,$Y_k$ need to be optimally determined through the trade-off between the H/W complexity and the BER performance in Turbo codes applications. Also, an effective means to incorporate a channel reliability $L_c$ in the Log-MAP-based Turbo decoding is highly required. because it has a major effect on both the complexity and the performance. In this paper, a novel bit-shifting approach that substitutes for the multiplying is proposed so as to effectively incorporate. $L_c$ in Turbo decoding. The optimal number of quantization bits of $X_k$,$Y_k$ is investigated through Monte-Carlo simulations assuming that bit-shifting approach is adopted. In addition. The effects of an incorrect estimation of noise variance on the performance of Turbo codes is investigated. There is a confined range in which the effects of an incorrect estimation can be ignored.

터보 제너레이터의 시동 알고리즘 및 시동기 개발 (Development of the Starting Algorithm and Starter for Turbo Generator)

  • 터보 제너레이터의 시동기는 터보 샤프트 발전 시스템 시동기의 구성인 기어박스, DC 전동기, 저 전압 축전지를 대신하여 고속 발전기, 인버터 그리고 승압기로 구성된다. 터보 제너레이터는 시동 시 고속 회전이 요구되어 고속발전기는 수십 $\mu$Η의 낮은 누설 인덕턴스를 가지며, 인버터는 높은 전압의 DC link 전압이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 시동기 구현을 위해 축전지 전압을 높은 전압으로 승압하는 대 용량 승압기를 개발하였다. 그리고 낮은 누설 인덕턴스를 갖는 전동기 권선에 높은 주파수의 전류 제어를 위해 정밀 고속 연산을 수행하는 인버터 드라이버의 설계와 안정된 점화를 위한 터보 제너레이터의 시동 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 또한 개발한 시동기로 터보 제너레이터의 시동을 수행하여 성능을 확인하였다.

프레임 크기가 작은 터보 코드의 복잡도에 대한 성능 분석 (Performance analysis on the complexity of turbo code with short frame sizes)

  • PCCC(Parallel Concatenated Convolutional Codes: 터보 코드)는 블록 크기가 크면 클수록 성능이 우수한 것으로 잘 알려져 있다. 본 논문은 차세대 이동 통신 시스템에서 프레임 크기가 작은 음성/제어 프레임을 이용하여 터보 코드의 성능을 검증하여 보고, 비슷한 디코딩 복잡도에 터보 코드와 컨벌루션 코드의 성능과 시스템에 적용하기 위한 조건들을 고려하였다. 그 결과 터보 코드는 프레임 크기가 작은 조건에서 반복 횟수 3회만으로도 차세대 통신 시스템에 적합한 10-3이상의 좋은 성능을 나타내었다. 그러나, 10-3의 BER을 기준으로 비슷한 복잡도를 고려하였을 때는 부호화율이 1/2인 터보 코드(K = 5)의 성능은 낮은 Eb/N0에서 컨벌루션 코드(K = 9)보다 우수하고, K = 3인 터보 코드의 성능은 K = 7인 컨벌루션 코드보다 우수하였다. 또한 부호화율이 1/3인 경우 K = 3 또는 5인 터보 코드가 부호화율이 1/2인 터보 코드와 비슷한 성능을 나타내었다.

터보 제너레이터의 시동기 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Starter Control of the Turbo Generator)

  • This paper presents the result of a study on the starter control for a turbo generator. Because a starter in gear box type turbo-generator system is composed of gearbox and brush DC motor, it should be replaced with High Speed Generator(HSG)) in HSG type Turbo-generator. There-ore, it is necessary to design a new starting algorithm and starter. In gearbox type system, brush DC motor is rotated to the designed speed using low voltage-high current battery power. After brush DC motor speed is increased to several times by gearbox, gas turbine engine can be rotated to designed starting speed. If we implement a starter with High Speed Generator(HSG), it is necessary to drive high-speed generator to high-speed motor. High-speed generator with permanent magnet on rotor has a low leakage inductance fur driving high-speed rotation, and it is necessary high DC link voltage for inverter when High-speed generator is driven to high speed. This paper presents result of development of the boost converter for converting high voltage DC from low battery voltage and design of the inverter for controlling a high frequency current to be injected to motor winding. Also, we show performance of the designed starter by driving the turbo generator.

Novel Turbo Receiver for MU-MIMO SC-FDMA System

  • Single carrier-frequency-division multiple access (SC-FDMA) has been adopted as the uplink transmission standard in fourth-generation cellular networks to facilitate power efficiency transmission in mobile stations. Because multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) is a promising technology employed to fully exploit the channel capacity in mobile radio networks, this study investigates the uplink transmission of MU-MIMO SC-FDMA systems with orthogonal space-frequency block codes (SFBCs). It is preferable to minimize the length of the cyclic prefix (CP). In this study, the chained turbo equalization technique with chained turbo estimation is employed in the designed receiver. Chained turbo estimation employs a short training sequence to improve the spectrum efficiency without compromising the estimation accuracy. In this paper, we propose a novel and spectrally efficient iterative joint-channel estimation, multiuser detection, and turbo equalization for an MU-MIMO SC-FDMA system without CP-insertion and with short TR. Some simulation examples are presented for the uplink scenario to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
