This paper described the characteristic of vibration in wind turbine system including gearbox housing, gear drive, blade, generator. Especially, in planetary gear set, planet gears are supported by flexible pin. So, in planet gear, to consider not only torsional movement but also lateral movement. And include housing movement, because wind turbine system is supported by mount. To find out the characteristic of vibration, take the excitation source and study campbell diagram in operating range. Results of campbell diagram, resonances are occurred at 81.2HZ, 104.7Hz by 2nd tooth passing frequency. And resonance are also occurred at 264.5HZ, 377Hz, 424.6Hz by 3th tooth passing frequency. From the result, take vibration reduced measures.

Recent developments such as concern over global warming, depletion of fossil fuels and increase in energy demands by the increasing world population has eventually lead to mass production of electricity using renewable sources. Ocean contains energy in form of thermal energy and mechanical energy: thermal energy from solar radiation and mechanical energy from the waves and tides. The current paper looks at generating power using waves. The primary objective of the present study is to maximize the primary energy conversion (first stage conversion) of the base model by making some design changes. The model entire consisted of a numerical wave tank and the turbine section. The turbine section had three components; front guide nozzle, augmentation channel and the rear chamber. The augmentation channel further consisted of a front nozzle, rear nozzle and an internal fluid region representing the turbine housing. Different front guide nozzle configuration and rear chamber design were studied. As mentioned, a numerical wave tank was utilized to generate waves of desired properties and later the turbine section was integrated. The waves in the numerical wave tank were generated by a piston type wave maker which was located at the wave tank inlet. The inlet which was modeled as a plate wall which moved sinusoidally with the general function, $x=asin{\omega}t$. In addition to primary energy conversion, observation of flow characteristics, pressure and the velocity in the augmentation channel, rear chamber as well as the front guide nozzle are presented in the paper. The analysis was performed using the commercial code of the ANSYS-CFX. The base model recorded water power of 29.9 W. After making the changes, the best model obtained water power of 37.1 W which represents an increase of approximately 24% in water power and primary energy conversion.
Recent developments such as concern over global warming, depletion of fossil fuels and increase in energy demands by the increasing world population has eventually lead to mass production of electricity using renewable sources. Apart from wind and solar, ocean holds tremendous amount of untapped energy in forms such as geothermal vents, tides and waves. The current study looks at generating power using waves and the focus is on the primary energy conversion (first stage conversion) of incoming waves for different models. Observation of flow characteristics and the velocity in the augmentation channel as well as the front guide nozzle are presented in the paper. A numerical wave tank was used to simulate the waves and after obtaining the desired wave properties; the augmentation channel plus the front guide nozzle and rear chamber were integrated to the numerical wave tank. The waves in the numerical wave tank were generated by a piston type wave maker which was located at the wave tank inlet. The inlet which was modeled as a plate wall moved sinusoidally with the general function, x=asin$\omega$t The augmentation channel consisted of a front nozzle, rear nozzle and an internal fluid region representing the turbine housing. The analysis was performed using the commercial CFD code ANSYS-CFX.
Vibration and noise must be considered to maximize the efficiency of a yaw system and reduce the fatigue load acting on a wind turbine. This study investigated a method for analyzing yaw-system vibration based on the change in the load-duration distribution (LDD). A substructure synthesis method was combined with a planetary gear train rotational vibration model and finite element models of the housing and carriers. For the vibration excitation sources, the mass imbalance, gear mesh frequency, and bearing defect frequency were considered, and a critical speed analysis was performed. The analysis results showed that the critical speed did not occur within the operating speed range, but a defect occurred in the bearing of the first-stage planetary gear system. It was found that the bearing stiffness and first natural frequency increased with the LDD load. In addition, no vibration occurred in the operating speed range under any of the LDD loads. Because the rolling bearing stiffness changed with the LDD, it was necessary to consider the LDD when analyzing the wind turbine vibration.
A magnetic brake system was fabricated for use with small wind turbines. The torque of the pivot did not change as the speed of revolution increased when the magnetic array disc was far from the salient of the aluminum housing, the torque abruptly increased as the magnetic array approached the salient of the aluminum housing. The torque increased as a quadratic function of the speed of revolution when the distance between the magnetic array and the datum point was 60 mm.

In this paper, vibration analysis of power differential gear train for 2.5MW wind turbine system is analyzed. which system is composed of two planetary gear set, one helical gear set and main shaft that connected by flange. Planetary gear set, helical gear set, main shaft are modeled in MASTA program and housing, torque arm, carrier, flange components are modeling by finite element method. Each models are combined by component mode superposition. To analysis of natural vibration characteristic about 2.5MW wind turbine gear train was performed and check about critical speed with wind load, mass unbalance, angle misalignment excitation frequency.
In this study, a gearbox and blade were modeled in the MASTA program, and the housing and carrier components were modeled using a finite element method. Using substructure synthesis, all the components were combined and used to establish a vibration model of a 2.5-MW wind turbine gearbox. In addition, the safety displacement factor was evaluated using an AGMA data sheet about bearing's outer race for the input shaft and output shaft. As a result, the bearing's outer race for the input shaft, and the radial and axial responses were satisfied by the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ planetary gears and the $3^{nd}$ helical gear transmission error(TE), respectively. However, the output shaft support bearing's outer race responses were not satisfied with the radial response by the $2^{nd}$ TE and axial response by the $3^{rd}$ TE. To reduce the vibration, tooth modification was needed. After profile tooth modification, at the outer race of the output shaft support bearing, the radial response was reduced by approximately $20{\mu}m$, and the axial response was reduced by approximately $6{\mu}m$.
This study aims to present the applicability of wind turbine generator system to urban buildings for the utilization of clean renewable energy. The results are as follows; According to the wind resource analysis, it has been found that small sized wind power system can be viable for buildings application due to the amplification of wind velocity around buildings or building clusters, in spite of low mean velocity of 2-3m/s in Seoul and Kyunggi urban areas. But planners must perform micrositing analysis around building so that wind turbine can be located at high velocity zones. The system must be designed to avoid obstacles preventing prevailing wind in buildings. It should be recognized that wind speeds are changing depending on the height and length from buildings. The wind power system can be used as a symbol of landmark which shows a sustainable architecture from the scenary Itself A case study for apartment building in urban showed that wind power systems can be applicable in two kinds of place, rooftops and ground levels. Especially, the wind power systems must be carefully positioned so that wind resources do not decrease when it is installed at ground levels. and according to life cycle cost analysis, adaption of new small win4 power systems to buildings were proved to produce a profit if it is considered the expense of environment improvement and the wind speed increasing according to rise of building height. This research will ultimately achieve green architecture that preserves nature and at the same time provides pleasant environment to humans, and will play a great role in establishing the environment-preserving sustainable architecture of the 21th century.

As the increasing integrity of VLSI, the BIST(Built-In Self Test) is used as an effective method to test chips. Generally the pseudo-random test pattern generation is used for BIST. But it requires too many test patterns when there exist random resistant faults. Therefore we propose a mixed test scheme which applies to the circuit under test, a deterministic test sequence followed by a pseudo-random one. This scheme allows the maximum fault coverage detection to be achieved, furthermore the silicon area overhead of the mixed hardware generator can be reduced.

Automotive turbochargers have become common in gasoline engines as well as diesel engines. They are excellent devices to effectively increase fuel efficiency and power of the engines, but they unfortunately cause several noise problems. The noises are classified into mechanical noises induced from movement of a rotating shaft and aerodynamic noises by air flow in turbochargers. In addition to, there is a mechanical noise caused from movement of an actuator, electronically controlling a wastegate valve. It is called as valve rattle noise. The actuator is connected to a valve through a linkage. The noise occurs only if the valve is open, where the linkage is freely contact to neighbor structures without being constrained by any external forces. This condition allows impacts by the pulsation of exhaust gas, and the vibration from the impacts spreads out through turbine housing, causing the rattle noise. The noise is not in mechanical operating wastegate turbochargers because the linkage of an actuator is strongly connected by actuating force. For the electronic wastegate turbocharger, this paper proposed a test device to show the noise generating mechanism with a small vibration motor having an unbalanced shaft. It also shows how to reduce the noise - reduction of linkage clearances, inserting wave washers into a connection, and applying loose fitting in bushing embracing a valve lever to turbine housing.
