터널 유지관리계측의 응력 관리기준치 설정에 관한 연구 (A study on the establishment of stress limit values of management monitoring in tunnel)

  • 본 논문은 터널 유지관리계측의 응력 관리기준치 설정에 대한 연구로 계측 초기에 설정된 지하철계측 초기 관리기준치를 토대로 서울지하철 6,7,9호선 7개 대표단면의 콘크리트라이닝 응력, 콘크리트라이닝 철근응력, 콘크리트라이닝 내공변위에 대하여 약 5년에 걸친 계측 실적을 분석하고, 국외 계측관리기준을 비교하여 향후 터널 유지관리계측에 적용할 응력 계측관리기준치 설정에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과 향후에 터널에 적용할 유지관리계측의 응력 관리기준치는 국내적용 계측관리기준치와 국외적용 계측관리기준치 분석결과를 비교하여 안전단계는 허용응력의 60%, 주의단계는 허용응력의 80%, 정밀분석단계는 허용응력의 100%로 실무에서 쉽게 적용할 수 있는 절대치에 의한 계측관리방법을 제안하였다.

터널의 내공변위 자동화 계측기술 분석 (Convergence Monitoring Technologies for Traffic Tunnels - State of the Art)

  • 지금까지 국내에서 적용된 내공변위 계측은 수동식 시스템 혹은 계측 정밀도가 떨어지는 방법들로서 운영중인 터널에 적용하는데 한계가 있는 것으로 평가되어 최근 국내에 도입되고 있는 자동화 내공변위 계측 시스템들을 비교 분석하고 앞으로 운영중인 지하공간과 터널에의 적용성에 대해 검토하였다. 1. 광섬유 센서를 이용한 Sofo는 국내에서 터널 라이닝의 응력 측정에는 활용된 바가 있으나 아직 터널의 내공변위와 지중 변위의 측정에 적용된 실적이 없으며 앞으로 계측 자료의 신뢰도 및 시스템의 경제성 등에 대한 충분한 검토가 요구되고 있다. 2. 각도센서와 변위센서를 이용한 TPMS는 현재 국내에서 운영중인 터널인 천안-논산간 고속도로 차령터널과 지하철 터널 및 공동구 등에서 적용중이다. 3. BCS는 두 개의 각도 센서를 한 조로 이용하는 점이 TPMS와 다른 점으로서 거의 TPMS와 같은 특성을 지니고 있다. 앞으로 센서의 정밀도가 개선될 필요가 있으며 현장에서 아주 정밀한 교류 입력 전위차를 취득하는 데는 어려움도 있어 자동화 계측 가능여부가 검증되어야 할 것으로 본다. 앞으로 터널 시공 현장에 자동계측 시스템의 검증을 위하여 TPMS 및 BCS 등을 설치 및 운영하고 기술적인 문제를 보완함으로써 이를 시공중인 주계측 단면과 운영중인 터널에 적용하여야 할 것으로 본다.

Effects of parallel undercrossing shield tunnels on river embankment: Field monitoring and numerical analysis

  • As the intensity of urban underground space development increases, more and more tunnels are planned and constructed, and sometimes it is inevitable to encounter situations where tunnels have to underpass the river embankments. Most previous studies involved tunnels passing river embankments perpendicularly or with large intersection angle. In this study, a project case where two EPB shield tunnels with 8.82 m diameter run parallelly underneath a river embankment was reported. The parallel length is 380 m and tunnel were mainly buried in the moderate / slightly weathered clastic rock layer. The field monitoring result was presented and discussed. Three-dimensional back-analysis were then carried out to gain a better understanding the interaction mechanisms between shield tunnel and embankment and further to predict the ultimate settlement of embankment due to twin-tunnel excavation. Parametrical studies considering effect of tunnel face pressure, tail grouting pressure and volume loss were also conducted. The measured embankment settlement after the single tunnel excavation was 4.53 mm ~ 7.43 mm. Neither new crack on the pavement or cavity under the roadbed was observed. It is found that the more degree of weathering of the rock around the tunnel, the greater the embankment settlement and wider the settlement trough. Besides, the latter tunnel excavation might cause larger deformation than the former tunnel excavation if the mobilized plastic zone overlapped. With given geometry and stratigraphic condition in this study, the safety or serviceability of the river embankment would hardly be affected since the ultimate settlement of the embankment after the twin-tunnel excavation is within the allowable limit. Reasonable tunnel face pressure and tail grouting pressure can to some extent suppress the settlement of the embankment. The recommended tunnel face pressure and tail grouting pressure are 300 kPa and 550 kPa in this study, respectively. However, the volume loss plays the crucial role in the tunnel-embankment interaction. Controlling and compensating the tunneling induced volume loss is the most effective measure for river embankment protection. Additionally, reinforcing the embankment with cement mixing pile in advance is an alternative option in case the predicted settlement exceeds allowable limit.

Deformation characteristics of surrounding rock in the intersection area between main tunnel and construction adit of the Xianglushan tunnel

  • The construction adit plays a pivotal role in enhancing the working face during the excavation of long-distance and deep hydraulic tunnels. However, the intersection zone between the main tunnel and the construction adit exhibits more intricate deformation patterns in surrounding rock, posing a significant threat to stability during excavation. Taking the Xianglushan tunnel in Yunnan Province, China, as a case study, the FLAC3D software is employed to simulate the excavation process at the intersection. The simulation results are verified combined with the field deformation monitoring results, and the spatial distribution of tunnel rock deformation in the intersection area are analyzed. Five excavation conditions with different intersection angles are simulated, and the surrounding rock deformation of the tunnel intersection area with different intersection angles is analyzed, and its influence range is discussed. The results show that: (1) The surrounding rock deformation in the intersection area increases rapidly during the tunnel excavation. With the increase of construction distance, the deformation of intersection area is gradually stable. (2) The deformation distribution of the tunnel rock is uneven, and the deformation of main tunnel near the intersection area is larger than that far away from the intersection area. (3) With the increase of the intersection angle, the surrounding rock deformation of the tunnel intersection and its influence range decreases gradually. The research results have certain guiding significance for the construction safety of the tunnel intersection area.

터널 굴착에 따른 전기비저항 모니터링 기술 적용 (Application of resistivity monitoring with tunnel excavation area)

  • 전기비저항 탐사법은 터널 주변 지반 혹은 암반의 안정성을 조사하기 위해 사용되는 물리탐사법 중의 하나이다. 다양한 물리탐사법 중에서도 전기비저항 탐사법은 터널설계 단계에서 미리 소사가 수행되어 시공비용을 절감하고 안정성을 확보하기 위한 중요한 자료로 이용되고 있다. 현재 전기비저항 탐사 자료의 해석은 주로 1회의 단일 측정 자료를 대상으로 이루어지고 있지만, 터널 굴착이나 기 굴착된 터널의 유지관리를 위해서는 터널 주변의 시간에 따른 지하수의 분포상황 변화 등이 관측되어야 한다. 이를 위해서는 모니터링 기법이 도입되어야 한다. 따라서 터널 굴착에 따른 전기비저항 변화 파악을 위하여 격자형 측선을 설치하여 총 6회의 전기비저항 모니터링을 수행하였다. 또한 모니터링 시스템을 통해 조사지역에 분포하는 단층대에 상세한 정보를 제공함으로써 안전시공에 예측 시스템으로 가능유무를 평가하고자 하였다.

막장전방의 연약층이 터널 3차원변위 및 막장 수평변위에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Weak Ground Ahead of the Tunnel Face on 3D-displacement and Face Extrusion)

  • 터널시공 중, 터널자체의 안정성 확보와 주변지반 및 인접 구조물의 안정성 확보를 위한 체계화된 계측관리는 매우 중요한 사항이라고 할 수 있는데, 지반조건이 불리한 도심지 터널공사나 지반조건이 급격하고 빈번하게 변화하는 경우에 있어서는 그 중요성이 더욱 증대되는 것이 사실이다. 최근 오스트리아에서는, 임의 시점에 대한 절대변위를 계측하고 분석하는 기존의 방법 대신, Geodetic을 이용한 각 시공단계별 상대변위의 계측 및 분석방법이 널리 증가하고 있는데, 이를 통해 지반조건의 급격한 변화 예측 및 이에 상응하는 굴착방법과 지보방식의 변경등이 용이해지고 있다. 한편, 지반의 변위는 막장 굴착이 시공되기 이전부터 발행하기 시작하므로 막장 전방의 응력상태는 향후 변위 진행과정에 있어 매우 중요한 요소라 할 수 있다. 즉, 막장 전방의 강성이나 응력상태는 굴착 후의 장기적인 터널안정성 및 인접 구조물의 안정성 확보와 관련된 주요 변수라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 관련된 다양한 조건에 대한 3차원 변위해석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과를 통해 터널 굴착시의 수직변위 및 벡터회전, 막장면 변위 등의 변화를 살펴보았다.

경부고속철도 천성산구간 원효터널공사와 늪지와의 상관성 분석 (Analysis of Correlation Between Wonhyo Tunnel(section of KTX line) Works and Swamp)

  • The Wonhyo Tunnel on KTX railroad line is a section of latest concerns from domestic environmental NGOs, which focus on potential destruction of ecosystem or the like due to ever-depleted swamp water at about 300m upward from the tunnel under construction. As a result of study, out of all swamps in the vicinity of the tunnel, it was found that Mujechi 1st and 2nd swamps have been getting smaller in their area little by little since 50 years ago primarily under the influence of eroded streams around lower swamp and even ever-increasing annual mean temperature. As the result of monitoring about swamp before work, it was found that swamp water depends absolutely on amount of rainfall. Besides, the results of monitoring during work also didn't show any leakage generated in the tunnel during and after excavation works with regard to a wheat field swamp in the most vicinity of the tunnel (80m away). On the other hand, it was found that the range affected by ground water sink in tunnel section without grouting process amounted to about 100m around the tunnel, which indicates that such ground water sink has no significant impact upon most of swamps near the tunnel. As the result of testing by two well tracer test around swamps, it was noted that swamp water didn't run out from the bottom of swamp even with adjacent ground water level sunk in factitious ways. And the results of physical survey showed that swamp kept saturated even in dry season when ground water level becomes lower than the bottom of swamp. Therefore, even supposing that ground water level becomes sunk due to tunnel works, it is estimated that the water level of swamps would be still kept owing to impervious layer(peat beds).

Study on collapse mechanism and treatment measures of portal slope of a high-speed railway tunnel

  • The slope of an open cut tunnel is located above the exit of the Leijia tunnel on the Changgan high-speed railway. During the excavation of the open cut tunnel foundation pit, the slope slipped twice, a large landslide of 92500 m3 formed. The landslide body and unstable slope body not only caused the foundation pit of the open cut tunnel to be buried and the anchor piles to be damaged but also directly threatened the operational safety of the later high-speed railway. Therefore, to study the stability change in the slope of the open cut tunnel under heavy rain and excavation conditions, a 3D numerical calculation model of the slope is carried out by Midas GTS software, the deformation mechanism is analyzed, anti-sliding measures are proposed, and the effectiveness of the anti-sliding measures is analyzed according to the field monitoring results. The results show that when rainfall occurs, rainwater collects in the open cut tunnel area, resulting in a transient saturation zone on the slope on the right side of the open cut tunnel, which reduces the shear strength of the slope soil; the excavation at the slope toe reduces the anti-sliding capacity of the slope toe. Under the combined action of excavation and rainfall, when the soil above the top of the anchor pile is excavated, two potential sliding surfaces are bounded by the top of the excavation area, and the shear outlet is located at the top of the anchor pile. After the excavation of the open cut tunnel, the potential sliding surface is mainly concentrated at the lower part of the downhill area, and the shear outlet moves down to the bottom of the open cut tunnel. Based on the deformation characteristics and the failure mechanism of the landslides, comprehensive control measures, including interim emergency mitigation measures and long-term mitigation measures, are proposed. The field monitoring results further verify the accuracy of the anti-sliding mechanism analysis and the effectiveness of anti-sliding measures.

철도터널 진동 모니터링을 위한 광섬유 가속도계 개발 (Development of FBG Accelerometer for Railway Tunnel Vibration)

  • 터널의 안전관리를 위해서는 효과적이고 지속적인 계측이 필요하다. 현재 적용되고 있는 대부분의 계측센서로는 터널의 국부적인 상태만을 파악할 수 있으므로 전체 터널의 안전상태를 파악하기 위해서는 다수의 설치가 필요하다. 철도터널의 경우 일정한 조건의 열차운행이 정기적으로 이루어지므로 터널구조물에 발생하는 진동을 지속적으로 관측하여 분석하면 상대적으로 넓은 범위의 영역에 대하여 터널 손상을 효과적으로 예측할 수 있다. 한편 철도터널 내에는 고전압으로 인한 전자기장의 간섭이 있으므로, 이를 배제할 수 있는 계측센서의 적용이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 광섬유격자센서를 이용한 가속도계를 개발하였다. 기존 터널의 진동계측 결과를 검토하여 철도터널 진동 계측에 적합한 가속도계의 사양을 결정하였다. 민감도와 측정범위의 향상을 위하여 새로운 구조를 적용한 가속도계를 개발하였으며 실내시험을 통해 그 성능을 검증하였다. 개발된 광섬유 가속도계를 적용하여 고속철도 터널의 상시 진동모니터링 시스템을 구축한 사례를 소개하였으며, 열차운행에 의하여 발생하는 진동 측정 결과를 통해 개발된 가속도계의 유효성을 제시하였다.

Optimization of construction support scheme for foundation pits at zero distance to both sides of existing stations based on the pit corner effect

  • With the wide application of urban subway tunnels, the foundation pits of new stations and existing subway tunnels are becoming increasingly close, and even zero-distance close-fitting construction has taken place. To optimize the construction support scheme, the existing tunnel's vertical displacement is theoretically analyzed using the two-stage analysis method to understand the action mechanism of the construction of zero-distance deep large foundation pits on both sides of the existing stations; a three-dimensional numerical calculation is also performed for further analysis. First, the additional stress field on the existing tunnel caused by the unloading of zero-distance foundation pits on both sides of the tunnel is derived based on the Mindlin stress solution of a semi-infinite elastic body under internal load. Then, considering the existing subway tunnel's joints, shear stiffness, and shear soil deformation effect, the tunnel is regarded as a Timoshenko beam placed on the Kerr foundation; a sixth-order differential control equation of the tunnel under the action of additional stress is subsequently established for solving the vertical displacement of the tunnel. These theoretical calculation results are then compared with the numerical simulation results and monitoring data. Finally, an optimized foundation pit support scheme is obtained considering the pit corner effect and external corner failure mode. The research shows a high consistency between the monitoring data,analytical and numerical solution, and the closer the tunnel is to the foundation pit, the more uplift deformation will occur. The internal corner of the foundation pit can restrain the deformation of the tunnel and the retaining structure, while the external corner can cause local stress concentration on the diaphragm wall. The proposed optimization scheme can effectively reduce construction costs while meeting the safety requirements of foundation pit support structures.
