단신 : 사이클 피팅을 위한 전동 승차 조절기 개발 (Technical Note : Development of Electric Riding Machine for Cycle Fitting)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an electric riding machine for cycle fitting to control riding posture easily, to measure frame size quantitatively, and to overcome disadvantages of the traditional systems. The electric riding machine consisted of actuator, load controller, and display & control unit. The actuator unit by BLDC(BrushLess Direct Current) motor drives the saddle height up and down, the crank forward and backward, the handlebar up and down, and the handlebar forward and backward. The load controller unit controls loads by Eddy current controller with electromagnet and aluminum circular plate. The display & control unit consisted of frame size controller and display panel which shows top tube length(485~663mm), head tube length(85~243mm), seat tube length(481~671mm), and seat tube angle($62.7{\sim}76.4^{\circ}$). The range of frame size control for developed electric riding machine did not have difference compared to traditional commercial systems, but quantitative and precise control with 0.1 mm length and $0.1^{\circ}$ angle was possible through digital measurement. Unlike traditional commercial systems, frame size control was possible during riding through motor driven method, thus fitting duration decreased. It is necessary for further improvement to have feedback from users. It is believed that developed electric riding machine can help to develop domestic fitting system.

대구경 콘크리트 충전형 합성기둥의 전단 설계식 분석 (Investigation of Shear Design Expressions of Large-Diameter Concrete-Filled Steel Tubes(CFT))

  • 콘크리트 충전형 합성기둥(Concrete filled steel tube, CFT)은 철근콘크리트, 강구조보다 뛰어난 변형 능력과 강도 갖고 있다. CFT 현장타설말뚝은 지진하중, 토양액상화 등에 의해 큰 국부전단력을 경험하게 되며 이를 방지하기 위해 큰 직경으로 설계되어 진다. 그러나 현행 기준의 전단 설계식은 CFT의 구속효과를 고려하지 못하고 있으며, 상당히 보수적인 설계식을 제시하고 있다. 전단 설계식의 개선을 위한 선행 전단 실험연구가 거의 없으며 그조차 소구경의 실험연구로만 존재한다. 이 연구는 대구경 콘크리트 충전형 합성기둥의 개선된 전단 설계식을 제안하기 위한 기초연구로써, 원형 CFT 기둥 전단의 선행 실험연구와 현행 설계기준 비교분석을 실행하였다.

디지털 흉부 방사선 검사의 화질과 선량의 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimization of Image Quality and Dose in Chest PA Digital Radiography)

  • Chest PA 검사 시 디지털 촬영에 대한 검사 조건 권고안은 마련되어 있지 않다. 각 기기 회사들도 이전의 아날로그 촬영에 적용되었던 고관전압 촬영 조건을 권고하고 있다. 디지털 흉부 X-선 촬영시 관전압, 관전류, 부가여과 필터 변화에 따른 피폭선량을 비교하기 위해 Philips 사에서 권고하는 적정 노출지수( Expos ure Index ) 값인 200 ~ 800사이 값을 만족하는 검사조건을 선별하였다. 유효선량을 평가하기 위해 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 시행하였으며 SNR과 CNR을 측정하여 영상평가를 시행하였다. 관전압과 관전류, 부가여과 필터를 조절하여 유효 선량을 최대 77% 까지 감소시킬 수 있었다. 검사조건별로 다소간의 차이는 있으나 영상평가 결과 비슷한 품질의 영상을 얻을 수 있었다.

일부지역 유방촬영술의 팬톰영상에 관한 연구 (A study on Phantom image of Mammography in some area)

  • 목 적 : 일부지역에서 실시되고 있는 유방촬영술에 대한 유방팬톰영상을 분석하여 화질관리의 실태를 알아보고져 한다. 대상과 방법 : 2005년 5월에서 6월까지 2개월간 일부지역의 47개 병원에 설치된 유방촬영기기를 대상으로 실험하였으며 유방팬톰영상의 분석은 확대경을 이용하여 영상에서 보이는 섬유소, 작은 석회화그룹, 종괴의 개수를 세어 점수로 기록 평가하였다. 유방팬톰영상평가시험의 평가기준에 의해서 섬유소 4개 이상, 작은 석회화그룹 3개 이상, 종괴 3개 이상이 보인 경우를 합격으로 분류하였다. 결 과 : 유방팬톰영상 47예 중 합격이 33예(70.3%), 불합격이 14예(29.7%)였으며 합격한 경우에 사용한 관전압 범위는 $23{\sim}30\;kVp$, 관전류량 범위는 $20{\sim}60\;mAs$, 사진농도 범위는 $0.48{\sim}1.77$로 나타났으며 격자를 사용한 경우는 31예(91%)로 나타났다. 결 론 : 일부지역에서 실시되고 있는 유방촬영술의 영상에서 약 70.3%가 유방팬톰영상평가 시험에 합격한 것으로 나타났다. 적절한 범위의 관전압, 관전류, 격자 사용으로 적절한 사진농도를 얻어 시험기준에 합격된 우수한 화질의 유방영상을 얻어야 한다.

머리뼈 전-후 축 방향검사 시 Tube 방향설정에 따른 표면선량과 영상분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Comparative Analysis of Images and Doses According to Tube Orientation During Anterior-Posterior Axial Projection Examination of the Skull)

  • The skull has peripheral organs such as the crystalline lens and thyroid gland, which are highly radiosensitive, but the examination is performed without considering the uneven dose distribution due to the heel effect at the time of the current Skull Town's examination. However, no studies have been conducted on the exposure dose of surrounding organ tissues due to the difference in image density due to the heel effect and the non-uniformity of the dose. Using the cathode (-) and anode (+) set on the Tube to measure the scattered radiation along the Tube direction as a guide, change 30° and 37° in the cathode direction and 30° and 37° in the anode direction. It was given and investigated 5 times to obtain scattered radiation. image measurements were SNR, PSNR, RMSE, and MAE. Measurement results Measurement results of surrounding organ doses when the Tube direction was 30° and 37° The dose was low when the direction was cathodic in all organs (p<0.000). Both cathodes were higher in the image measurements(p<0.04). Continuous research may be needed for diagnostically valuable imaging and minimization of patient exposure dose.

YouTube videos provide low-quality educational content about rotator cuff disease

  • Background: YouTube has become a popular source of healthcare information in orthopedic surgery. Although quality-based studies of YouTube content have been performed for information concerning many orthopedic pathologies, the quality and accuracy of information on the rotator cuff have yet to be evaluated. The purpose of the current study was to evaluate the reliability and educational content of YouTube videos concerning the rotator cuff. Methods: YouTube was queried for the term "rotator cuff." The first 50 videos from this search were evaluated. Video reliability was assessed using the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) benchmark criteria (range, 0-5). Educational content was assessed using the global quality score (GQS; range, 0-4) and the rotator cuff-specific score (RCSS; range, 0-22). Results: The mean number of views was 317,500.7±538,585.3. The mean JAMA, GQS, and RCSS scores were 2.7±2.0, 3.7±1.0, and 5.6±3.6, respectively. Non-surgical intervention content was independently associated with a lower GQS (β=-2.19, p=0.019). Disease-specific video content (β=4.01, p=0.045) was the only independent predictor of RCSS. Conclusions: The overall quality and educational content of YouTube videos concerned with the rotator cuff were low. Physicians should caution patients in using such videos as resources for decision-making and should counsel them appropriately.

자동노출제어장치 평가를 위한 3D 프린팅 기반의 자체 제작 팬텀의 유용성 평가 (The Usability Assessment of Self-developed Phantom for Evaluating Automatic Exposure Control System Using Three-Dimensions Printing)

  • This study was to evaluate the usability of self-developed phantom for evaluating automatic exposure control (AEC) using three-dimensions (3D) printer. 3D printer of fused deposition modeling (FDM) type was utilized to make the self-developed AEC phantom and image acquisitions were conducted by two different type of scanners. The self-developed AEC phantom consisted of four different size of portions. As a result, two types of phantom (pyramid and pentagon shape) were created according to the combination of the layers. For evaluating the radiation dose with the two types of phantom, the values of tube current, computed tomography dose index volume (CTDIvol), and dose length product (DLP) were compared. As a result, it was confirmed that the values of tube current were properly reflected according to the thickness, and the CTDIvol and DLP were not significantly changed regardless of AEC functions of different scanners. In conclusion, the self-developed phantom by using 3D printer could assess whether the AEC function works well. So, we confirmed the possibility that a self-made phantom could replace the commercially expensive AEC performance evaluation phantom.

초음파를 이용한 원자력발전소 증기발생기 전열관의 정략적 결함 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Quantitative Flaw Evaluation of Nuclear Power Plant Steam Generator Tube by Ultrasonic Testing)

  • 원자력발전소의 증기발생기는 수천 개의 매우 얇은 두께의 튜브로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 증기발생기의 튜브는 원자력발전소의 1차 계통과 2차 계통의 압력경계를 유지하는 데에 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며, 고온 고압의 열 수력적 상호작용으로 인한 가혹한 운전조건으로 인하여 손상되기 쉽다. 따라서 증기발생기의 구조적 건전성을 평가하기 위하여 많은 시간과 노력이 투입되고 있다. 와전류 검사 방법이 증기발생기 튜브의 건전성을 평가하기 위한 가장 보편적인 비파괴 방법이지만, 와전류 검사의 특성상 결함의 전체 체적에 의하여 신호의 특성이 나타나게 되어 정확한 결함의 크기를 평가하기에는 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 증기발생기 튜브의 결함 검출과 정확한 측정을 위하여 초음파 검사기법의 적용 가능성을 확인하였으며, 연구결과를 증기발생기 튜브 검사에 적용 할 경우 검사결과가 크게 향상 될 것으로 기대된다.

미세 대조도 영상을 기반한 디지털 방사선 영상 시스템의 자동노출제어 조절인자 간의 상관관계 분석 (Correlation Analysis of Control Factors in Automatic Exposure Control of Digital Radiography System Based on Fine Contrast Images)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of automatic exposure control (AEC) control factors in digital radiography systems based on the fine contrast images using coin phantoms. The AEC control factors were targeted at the range of dominent zone, sensitivity, and density. The dominent zone was divided into cases where a single coin was used to cover the field configuration, and cases where seven coins were used to cover the field configuration. The sensitivity was classified into three stages (200, 400, 800) and the density was classified into three stages (2.5, 0, 2.5). Image quality was evaluated by signal to noise ratio (SNR) and contrast to noise ratio (CNR). Then, the automatically exposed tube current was measured. As a result, the X-ray image of seven coins obtained a result value of about 1.2 times higher for SNR and 1.9 times higher for CNR than the X-ray image for one coin. The tube current was also about 1.6 times higher. In conclusion, In AEC, the higher the field configuration and dominent zone are matched and the higher the density, the lower the sensitivity, which increases the tube current and CNR, which increases the image quality. Therefore, it is judged that the appropriate setting of the range of dominent zone, sensitivity, and density of the control, which is the AEC control factor, could improve the fine contrast of images.

  • Superconducting current lead is one of the promising applications of the oxide high-Tc superconductors, because they have the advantage of decreasing heat conduction to low temperature region, comparing with a conventional cooper alloy lead. High critical current density is a key factor for the applications such as current lead. (Bi,Pb)$_2$Sr$_2$Ca$_2$Cu$_3$O$\_$x/ high Tc superconductor haute been investigated in terms of critical current density. Bi-2223 superconducting current lead made by CIP and solid state sintering process. Bi-2223 current lead that heat treated at 836$^{\circ}C$ for 240 h in 1/13 P$\_$O$_2$/ had over 150 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ of critical current density at 77K. We knew that the superconducting properties of tube type current leads were better than rods type of them. And we investigated the relation of Bi-2223 formation and heat treatment condition by XRD and SEM analysis.
