When interactional justice is higher, job stress is lower in high trust level than in low trust level.

  • This study is concerned with exploring how much initial trust transfers between the two websites based on their design levels. Internet users tend to perceive trust towards websites when their design factors look persuasive. For example, well-designed websites can arouse more trust in users than poorly-designed websites. Online trust transfer between websites has been studied among several researchers. However, there is no study investigating how much initial trust transfers from well-designed websites to poorly-designed websites or vice versa. In this sense, this study fills this research void by empirically analyzing initial trust transfer between the two websites based on their design levels. Empirical results prove that design levels of websites affect initial trust transfer between websites significantly.

  • To stress the importance of privacy in social networking, I presented an analysis on how information control and information management vulnerability influence trust and privacy concerns in social networking, and how trust and privacy concerns influence the sustainable usage intention of social network services. I also analyzed the factors affecting privacy concerns to present the method to alleviate social network users' concerns about privacy. Information collection control, information processing control and information management vulnerability were chosen and analyzed as the factors affecting privacy concerns. The results showed that information collection control and information management vulnerability significantly affected trust and privacy concerns; and information processing control did not significantly affect privacy concerns. The relationship between trust and privacy concerns, and sustainable usage intention was statistically significant; and the relationship between trust and expansion of communication channels was also statistically significant.

  • The importance of communities of practice(CoP) as an organizational informal unit for fostering knowledge transfer and sharing gains a lot of attention from KM researchers and practitioners. Since most of CoPs are formulated online these days, the credibility or trustworthiness of knowledge contents circulated within a certain CoP should be considered thoroughly for them to be fully utilized safely. Here comes the need for an appropriate trust measuring methodology to determine the true value of knowledge given by unknown people through an online channel. In this paper, an improved trust measuring method is proposed using new trust variables such as level of degrees derived from the relationships among community users. In addition, activeness, relevance, and usefulness of the knowledge contents themselves, which are calculated automatically using a text categorization technique, are also used for trust measurement. The proposed framework incorporates fuzzy set and calculation concepts to help build trust matrices and models, which are used to measure the level of trust involved in specific knowledge artifacts concerned.

  • Blog have become very popular with Internet users as one of the latest forms of online communication as well as knowledge sharing tools. However, blogs generate growing concerns regarding information privacy issues. This study, based on social exchange theory, presents results about bloggers' information sharing behavior. The 157 surveys are collected from a large university in the eastern U.S. The survey results indicate that trust which has four second order factors: economy based trust, trust in reciprocity, trust in other bloggers and trust in social interaction positively affects bloggers' information sharing behavior. However, online information privacy concerns have a negative impact on the relationship between trust and bloggers' information sharing behavior.

A sample of 191 employees from 24 companies is used for an empirical exploration. Our analysis results imply that both organizational trust and trust among peers are crucial for effective knowledge sharing.

The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Scheffe's tests, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Among the nurse managers' conflict management styles, the problem-solving style was positively correlated with both leader trust and organizational commitment. Concession-avoiding and control-leading styles were negatively correlated with both variables. Furthermore, the problem-solving style was found to have significant influence on both leader trust and organizational commitment. Conclusion: In order to more actively cope with conflict situations occurring in the nursing work environment, nursing managers need to exhibit more effective attitudes of conflict management. This study suggests that the problem-solving style is a desirable conflict management style in terms of increasing leader trust and organizational commitment.
