크로바 스위치를 적용한 10/350 임펄스 회로에서 인덕턴스에 따른 wave tail 특성 (Characteristic of Wave Tail According to Inductance values in 10/350 Impulse Circuit with Crowbar Switch)

  • This paper shows the characteristic of wave tail according to inductance values in 10/$350{\mu}s$ impulse circuit with crowbar switch. The PSpice was used to simulate the 10/$350{\mu}s$ current waveform and lightning current impulse generator was used to generate real current waveform. As a capacitor of condenser bank increases, a virtual front time increases and a time to half-value decreases. To get a perfect 10/$350{\mu}s$ current waveform, we should consider the combination of circuit values of the inductance, capacitance, time difference between trigger pulses and charged voltage of capacitor bank.

  • This paper presents the new structural zener triggered silicon-controlled rectifier (ZTSCR) electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuit. The proposed ESD protection circuit has lower triggering voltage than conventional circuits. The proposed ZTSCR has the triggering voltage of 4V. In the ESD event, this proposed novel ZTSCR ESD protection device could trigger quickly and provide an effective discharging path.

용량방전점화장치의 설계 (Design of the Capacitor Discharge Ignition System)

  • 개소린 엔진 자동차의 연료절차, 공해감소, 보수경감을 목적으로 용량방전점화장치(CDI)를 해석적 및 실험적으로 설계하는 과정을 기술하였다. 특히 방전시스템에 대한 간단한 모델을 사용함으로써 점화코일의 입출력전압, 전류를 계산하였다. 그 결과 실험치와 비교하였으며 이로 부터 최적점화조건을 만족하기 위한 방전용량, SCR 및 다이오드의 정격과 DC-DC 콘버터의 소요출력전압을 결정하였다. 또 과도한 dv/dt 및 di/dt에 대한 SCR의 보호회로를 해석하고 그 결과를 관측된 결과를 관측된 결과와 비교하였는데 이로써 SCR선택과 보호회로 및 트리거 회로 설계가 용이하게 된다. 더우기 DC-DC콘버터의 거동에 대한 실험적 결과를 해석하므로써 콘버터 설계를 간이화하였다. 실용적인 CDI장치를 시작하였으며 이것은 실험실 및 노상 시험에서 만족할만한 성능을 나타냈다. 그 시험결과도 아울러 보고한다. An analytical and experimental design procedure is described for the Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) System with a view to fuel saving ann reduction of gas exhaustion and maintenance need. Specifically, the input and output voltage and current of a given ignition coil were calculated by using a simplified circuit model for the discharging system. The results were compared with the experimental results, from which ratings of the charging capacitor, the SCR and the diodes and the required output valtage of the DC·DC converter were determined so as to satisfy the optimum ignition conditions. Protection circuits for excessive dv/dt and di/dt for the SCR were also analyzed and the results were compared with the observed results, which facilitate selection of the SCR and design of the protection circuit and the trigger circuit. Also, design of the DC·DC converter was simplified based on the analysis and experimental results of the behavior of the converter, An experimental, yet practical CDI system was built, which showed satisfactory performance in the laboratory and field tests. The results were also reported.

  • A field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is an integrated circuit designed to be configured by a customer or a designer after manufacturing. The FPGA configuration is generally specified using a hardware description language (HDL), similar to that used for an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) (circuit diagrams were previously used to specify the configuration, as they were for ASICs, but this is increasingly rare). Contemporary FPGAs have large resources of logic gates and RAM blocks to implement complex digital computations. In this paper, we implement a system of digital instrumentation using FPGA. This system consists of the trigger part, memory address controller part, control FSM part, Encoder part, LCD controller part. The hardware implement using FPGA and the verification of the operation is done in a PC simulation. The proposed hardware was mapped into Cyclone III EP2C5Q208 from Altera and used 1,700(40%) of Logic Element (LE). The implemented circuit used 24,576-bit memory element with 6-bit input signal. The result from implementing in hardware (FPGA) could operate stably in 140MHz.

  • 전압제어 발진기(VCO:coltage controlled oscillator)는 FM 신호 변조, 주파수 안정기와 디지탈 클럭 재생과 같은 부분의 적용에 필수적인 기본회로이다. 본 논문에서는 BiCMOS 회로를 이용한 차동 증폭기를 사용하여 OTA(operational transconductance amplifier)회로와 OP amp를 설계하고 이를 토대로 하여 VCO 회로를 설계하였다. 그리고 이 VCO는 OTA와 전압 제어 적분기, 그리고 슈미트 트리거 회로로 구성이 되어 있다. 종래에는 CMOS를 사용하여 VCO를 설계하였지만 여기서는 구동능력이 좋은 BiCMOS를 사용하여 VCO를 설계하였다. 이 회로를 SPICE로 시뮬레이션 한 결과 출력 주파수는 105KHz에서 141KHz이며 변화 감도는 15KHz였다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the conversion of single phase to three phase. In the proceeding of phase conversion, it is very convinence to convert two-phase from single phase using cycloconverter before and then two to three phase by scott connection transformer. There are also systematized zero-crossing, mono vibrator and ring counter circuit for the gate trigger circuits of cycloconverter. The wave forms of three phase by experimental results are analyzed and discussed the relation of phase difference among them.

Thyristor Switch를 사용한 무효전류 보상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reactive Current Compensation Using Thyristor Switch)

  • Improvement of power factor is achieved by reactive-current compensation, connecting power condenser to the circuit. This paper describes a method of reactive-current compensation, employing thyristor switching of capacitor banks without any breaker. This method reduces supply transients to the minimum by means of connecting condenser, because thyristor is triggered at zero point in condenser current. The reactive current detection and the experimental system to trigger thyristor at appropriate moment are given. IThe results show the fast reactive-current compensation on the condition of minimum transient.

  • This paper presents a simple electronic stater for single phase induction motor(SPIM). To obtain a starting torque, the phase angle of the auxiliary winding is controlled using simple gate trigger control circuit. Because of this electronic stater circuit consists of some passive element and switching device, it is simple and robust. The experimental result shows some good results, and verifies the proposed electronic starter.

  • 본 논문에서는 FA용 센서 중의 하나인 고주파 발진형 근접 센서 시스템을 CMOS를 이용하여 설계하였다. 금속 물체의 원근에 따라 발생되는 크기가 다른 두 정현파를 전파정류부와 평활회로부를 통하여 DC 전압으로 전환하여 정전류회로의 출력단에 전류를 흐르게 한다. 슈미트 트리거를 사용하여 전압 레벨의 노이즈를 제거한다. 이를 통하여 고주파 발진형 근접 센서 시스템이 소형, 경량화, 저 소비 전력의 이점을 갖도록 하였다.

  • Increase of fault current due to larger power demand has increased the possibility of the breakdown of the power system. To protect the power system effectively from the larger fault current, several countermeasures have been proposed. Among them, the superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) has been expected as one of the most effective solutions. In this paper, the fault current limiter, which consists of a ideal switch as a trigger part and the limiter as the limiting part, has been applied into the distribution system. From the analysis for the fault current limiting operation of SFCL, the inserting resistance's magnitude has been confirmed to affect OCR trip time in a short-circuit of distribution system.
