窒酸溶液에서의 Tributylphosphate (TBP), Dibutylphosphate (DBP)混合物에 依한 Nb의 抽出 (The Extraction of Nb from Nitric Acid Solution by Mixture of Tributylphosphate(TBP) and Dibutylphosphate(DBP))

  • Nb is one of the trouble-some fission products in the reprocessing of nuclear fuels. In this paper, the extraction of Nb from 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 9N $HNO_3$ solution by mixtures of TBP and DBP in dodecane are reported. Sums of the concentration of TBP and DBP are kept to 20%. When the concentrations of DBP are lower the $2{\times}10^{-2}%$, distribution ratios are almost same, and ratios increase abruptly and the slope is about 2.5 at between $2{\times}10^{-2}$ to $4{\times}10^{-1}%$, then slope falls down to about 0.5. There is aging effect on mixture of TBP and DBP.

  • The antiwear performance of several organic phosphates ,such as tricrecylphosphate(TCP), tributylphosphate(TBP), diphenylhydrogenphosphate(DPHP) ,dissolved in polyol ester based oils is studied. These organic phosphates are well known for antiwear additive for lubricating oil that produce reacted surface protective film. These antiwear additives can drastically reduce wear with their concentration increasing, because the amount of additive adsorbed on metal sur(ace increases. But in the higher concentration region, the wear is increased by excessive and corrosive reaction of the metal surface with these additives. That is to say, there is an optimum concentration for minimum wear. The optimum concentration was different with the kinds of base oils and additives. Different polyolesters showed different optimum concentrations of the additive. The order of optimum concentration among the polyolesters was different with different phosphates. The order of the optimum concentration is shown that the effect of the concentration of additives on the antiwear performance. It can be explained by the interaction between additives and base oils using the solubility parameter.

Characterization of polymer inclusion membrane containing Aliquat 336 as a carrier

  • The presented research is about characterization of Cellulose Triacetate (CTA) based Polymer Inclusion Membranes (PIMs) which incorporated the commercial extractant Aliquat 336, Tributylphosphate (TBP) as modifier and 2-Nitro Phenyl Pentyl Ether (NPPE) as plasticizer, for the preparation of the membranes. Chemical and physical characteristics of the synthesized membranes especially membrane thickness and side difference effects were investigated. Different surface structures and membrane thickness affect the extraction efficiency of membranes. Membrane extraction experiments were studied where the glass-facing surface of the membranes placed next to feed phase and the air-facing surface to stripping phase. The membrane was characterized by means of AFM, FT-IR and SEM.

자동차 휠 도금박리폐액으로부터 질산 및 구리의 회수 (Recovery of Nitric acid and Copper from Plating Waste of Automobile Wheel)

  • 자동차용 고광택 크롬 도금 박리액에는 질산과 유가금속인 구리가 다량 함유되어 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 질산($HNO_3$) 및 유가금속은 고가이며 유독하므로, 경제 및 환경을 고려하여 반드시 회수하여 재활용하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 도금박리액으로부터 질산과 구리는 용매 추출법을 이용하여 후 분리하였다. 수상에 존재하는 질산의 농도는 0.01 ~ 1N NaOH를 이용하여 적정하여 분석하고, 금속의 농도는 ICP-MS 및 ICP-AES 등을 이용하여 분석하였다. 도금 박리액을 분석한 결과, 구리 이온은 76,850 mg/L이 함유되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 용액 내 질산의 양을 NaOH 용액을 이용하여 적정법으로 측정하였을 때 대략 1.02 M 임을 알 수 있었다. 50% Tributylphosphate (TBP)를 이용하여 3단 추출한 유기층의 용액을 증류수를 이용하여 각각 3회의 역추출을 하였을 때, 원액으로부터 48.1%의 질산을 회수할 수 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 순도는 99.9% 이상이었다. 질산 회수 후, 용액 내에 남은 구리는 PC 88A, D2EPHA, LIX 84 및 ISE 106을 이용하여 용매추출 하였으며, 각 용매의 추출률을 비교하였을 때, ISE 106의 경우, 1단 추출 후 30% 황산으로 역세척 하였을 경우, 92%의 구리를 회수할 수 있었다. 추출된 구리는 $N_2H_4$를 이용하여 환원시켰고, 다양한 조건 하에서 구리 분말을 제조하였다.

Electrochemical Decontamination of Metallic Wastes Contaminated with Uranium Compounds in a Neutral Salt Electrolyte

  • Electrochemical decontamination process has been applied for recycle or self disposal with authorization of large amount of metallic wastes contaminated with uranium compounds such as $UO_2$, ammonium uranyl carbonate (AUC), ammonium di-uranate (ADU), and uranyl nitrate(UN) with tributylphosphate(TBP) and dodecane, which are generated by dismantling the contaminated system components and equipment of a retired uranium conversion plant in Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). Electrochemical decontamination for metallic wastes contaminated with uranium compounds was evaluated through the experiments on the electrolytic dissolution of stainless steel as the material of the system components in neutral salt electrolytes. The effects of type of neutral salt as the electrolyte, current density, and concentration of electrolyte on the dissolution of the materials were evaluated. Decontamination performance tests using the specimens taken from a uranium conversion plant were quite successful with the application electrochemical decontamination conditions obtained through the basic studies on the electrolytic dissolution of structural material of the system components.

Sol-Gel Encapsulation as Matrix for Potentiometric Nitrite-Selective Membranes Doped with Chloro (5, 10, 15, 20-Tetraphenylporphyrinato) Cobalt (III)

  • Organic-inorganic hybrid sol-gel matrices were used as hosts for chloro (5, 10, 15, 20-tetraphenylporphyrinato) cobalt (III) (Co[TPP]Cl), a known ionophore for nitrite. The sol-gel precursor was prepared by the reaction of (3-isocyanopropyl) triethoxysilane with 1,4-butanediol. An appropriate amount of the anion-exchanger, tridodecylmethylammonium chloride (TDMAC) and the plasticizer, tributylphosphate (DBP) were used as membrane additives. On mixing with an acidic catalyst, the sol-state precursors slowly gelled, yielding a membrane in which the active components, Co[TPP]Cl and TDMAC, were encapsulated. The performances of the sol-gel membrane-based electrodes were compared to those of Co[TPP]Cl-based poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane electrodes. Membranes with a molar ratio of Co[TPP]Cl: TDMAC (1 : 0.1) showed reasonable response slopes toward nitrite. The response slopes were typically 53 mV/decade between $10^{-5.4}$ and $10^{-1.0}\;M$. Selectivities toward nitrite over hydrophilic and small anions such as chloride were somewhat inferior to those observed with PVC-based membranes, but selectivities over lipophilic anions were quite similar. Reduced asymmetry potentials due to protein adsorption were found to occur with the sol-gel matrix relative to PVC-based films when the sensors were employed as a detector in flow-through configuration.

  • 자동차용 고광택 크롬 도금 박리액에는 질산과 유가금속인 구리 및 니켈이 다량 함유되어 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 질산($HNO_3$) 및 유가금속은 고가이며 유독하므로 경제적 및 친환경적으로 반드시 회수하여 재활용하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 도금박리액으로부터 질산과 구리, 니켈을 용매 추출법을 이용하여 분리하였다. 수상에 존재하는 질산의 농도는 0.01 ~ 1N NaOH를 이용하여 적정하여 분석하고, 금속의 농도는 ICP-MS 및 ICP-AES 등을 이용하여 분석하였다. 도금 박리액을 분석한 결과 Cu(76850mg/L), Ni(51990 mg/L)이 함유되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 용액 내 질산의 양을 NaOH 용액을 이용하여 적정법으로 측정하였을 때, 질산의 양은 대략 1.02 M 임을 알 수 있었다. 50 % Tributylphosphate (TBP)를 이용하여 3단 추출한 유기층의 용액을 증류수를 이용하여 3회의 역추출을 하였을 때, 원액으로부터 48.1 %의 질산을 회수할 수 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 순도는 99.5% 이상이었다. 질산 회수 후 용액 내에 남은 구리와 니켈은 ISE-106로 구리를 추출하여 니켈을 분리한 후 황산을 이용해 역추출 하였다. 회수된 구리는 NaOH를 이용하여 pH를 조절하고 수산화구리 형태로 침전시킨 후 $N_2H_4$를 이용하여 환원시켰고, 온도와 pH 및 환원제를 이용하여 다양한 조건 하에 구리 분말을 제조하였다. 구리를 추출하여 라피네이트 용액으로 분리된 니켈은 $NaBH_4$를 이용하여 환원시켰고, 다양한 조건 하에서 니켈 분말을 제조하였다. 환원 된 분말은 분석결과 99%의 순수한 분말임을 알 수 있었다.
