The number of studies on social media has increased rapidly worldwide. There has been, however, little effort to assess the achievements and limitations of social media studies up to present. The purpose of this study is to provide a systematical viewpoint on social media research published by scholarly business-related journals. Our analysis focus on research topic, functionality, targeted media types, methodology, and characteristics. User research receives the most attention, followed by effect research in terms of developmental models of media research agenda. The major methodological trend is online survey. Facebook and twitter are the two most popular mediums studied in literature, and social media is mainly characterized as information sharing as well as relationship building. Two recommendations are suggested in ways to strengthen social media research: more various topics and application areas, and the rigor and diversity of research methods.

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation, which means changes in all industrial structures, politics, economics and society as well as IT technology, is an important issue. It is difficult to know which research topic is being studied because digital transformation is being studied in various fields. Convergence research is possible because a research topic is studied in various fields such as computer science area and Decision science area. However, it is difficult to know the specific research status of the research topic. In this study, eight research topics were derived using the topic modeling technique of text mining for abstract of academic literature and the trend of each topic was analyzed. We also proposed to create a Topic-Word Proportions Table in the LDA based Topic modeling process to predict the topic of new literature. The results of this study are expected to contribute to advanced convergence research on topic of digital transformation. It is expected that the literature related to each research topic will be grasped and contribute to the design of a new convergence research.

In this paper, we propose an approach which contains with constructing a bibliography information database, extracting the fields of research, and researching trend of them, using data mining. To apply our approach to IEICE Technical Report (nonlinear problem society), the database was constructed based on its report, keywords were analyzed using the frequency analysis and the association analysis, and we discussed about the result. We could extract some field of research from the result.

In recent years, it is strongly required to supply high quality electrical power without insulation failure in distribution power cables. Therefore the exact measurement and judgment ar out deterioration degree of cables are essential to increase that supplying reliability. This paper will introduce various diagnostic methods of off-line and live-line cables also propose the judgement criteria and newly trend of diagnostic technique at present.

The modern welding technology hue more then 100 years history, and during that period, the welding has been playing an important role in the development of the manufacturing processes/systems as a key technology. Today, well-being appears as new trend-code all of society. Likewise foodservice industry is influenced by that trend and as a result general menu items tend to change into healthy menu items. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the customers attitude toward healthy menu. One of major research finding is that consumers better interested to healthy menu than past and have potential needs to consume it. So need to extent healthy menu market and develop to consume of healthy menu, should get competitiveness on tastes and price of healthy menu and to segment of healthy menu consumer market.

A nanopore is a very small hole that can be used as single-molecule detector. The detection principle is based on monitoring the ionic current reduced by passage of a molecule through the nanopore as a voltage is applied across the nanopore. Here, we introduce biological nanopores and solid-state nanopores. Then, research and current trend about nanopore-based DNA biosensor and protein analysis are reviewed.

There are a lot of efforts to improve noise and vibration in compressor. It had depended on experiments to reduce the annoying noise and vibration raised by costumer complaints until the twentieth century. But a trend of noise and vibration research changed tremendously by simulation techniques. Simulation techniques are also applied to fields on acoustic and valve dynamics etc, to validate a experiment and improve the performance of various fields in noise and vibration.

Overview of plastics processing is described and the research trend of the processing is also noted. The main manufacturing processes in the plastics industry are injection molding, blow molding, compression molding, transfer molding, extrusion and thermoforming. The principles of those processes have been discussed and molds for shaping operation have been mentioned. References for each process have also been presented.
